How these people do business is sketchy and I just don’t trust them to do business with again. It has happened to me twice where they reached out to me after an appointment to say I have a balance because what they assumed of my insurance coverage was not accurate. I don’t get why they would assume my insurance coverage instead of just checking it. The first time I was okay with, but a second time I had to pay because of “an employees error”, these people chased me down and threatened me with the collections agency for their employee’s error. On that note, being they now know of my insurance coverage, why didn’t they update it to my file? Paying the money isn’t the issue, but this reoccurrence of paying after I left the office happened twice in the space of 4 months/ back to back. The customer service was okay, they did their job but with this reoccurrence, I just don’t trust them and won’t be going back.

I have been coming here for 35 years and always appreciate how orderly and helpful the staff are. They send reminders by text and email and I rarely ever wait long as they are very good at managing appointments and have called to let me know if they were running behind. Direct billing is always great and they let me know in advance what is covered so I'm not surprised. The hygienists are so kind! Never too judgy if you don't floss perfectly and they remember details about your life and family so it always feels like I'm going for a visit with friends. Dr. Simonar has been an excellent dentist who always takes his time, provides lots of explanations for procedures required and does a good job ensuring I'm comfortable and pain free. Highly recommend Lakewood Dental~!

First time we used this clinic was 15 yrs ago. It was an emergency for my wife. Our experiences were clinics trying to upsell us and spend more money. Lakewood Dental has always been honest, every doctor we have had there comes through for us with their wonderful warm staff as well. We have since seen 3 separate dentists in this clinic and feel trust with all three. They have always been warm and caring. Todays trip was difficult as we have lost insurance in these difficult times, and they worked with me to get what my son and I both needed at a completely reasonable price. Over 15 years with them... after seeing some rather poor examples, it was great to run into these guys. Accolades out to Dr. Dutka!

I’ve always avoided dental treatment because of how some places made me feel judged or just uncomfortable in general. My mom recommended this place and I went but had a lot of anxiety because I didn’t want to be judged again. As soon as you walk through the doors you automatically feel welcomed by the front desk assistants. Also Waiting time is very little. Everyone is super friendly and talks to you like you matter to them which I found very comforting. After my appointment I actually was excited to come back! I couldn’t believe my words when I actually said I love going to the dentist. I would recommend this place to anyone!

I have been a patient at Lakewood Dental since the Dr Hass days (40 plus years). I had not been to the dentist since before Covid and of course needed some major work! Fillings, two crowns and several visits back for little bite adjustments were necessary. Wait times were less than 5 minutes…receptionists are always warm and welcoming! I now live downtown but continue to drive to Millwoods because of the great caring service I get at Lakewood Dental. My dentist is Dr Dutka and you know he’s in the house when you hear his infectious laugh!!

Dr. Simona and his hygienists were amazing and made a something that's normally extremely hard for me to sit through and causes me a large amount of anxiety and made me feel really comfortable and made me feel like I could go at my own pace. Gave me great information on aftercare and a phone number to call if I had any questions after I left or after hours. Absolutely Amazing Dental Clinic.

I’ve been coming to this office over 30 years. The receptionists are friendly and knowledgeable. The dental hygienists are supportive and share a number of ideas to keep your mouth and teeth healthy. Dr Dutka takes time to explain what needs to be done and or various scenarios that may affect your pocketbook and health. Love his humour and find his laughter makes me happy.

Going to the dentist is never easy but coming to Lakewood has made that experience easier. Friendly staff and dentists, hygienist, and assistants that are knowledgeable and have great bedside manner helps a lot. If you have anxiety about coming to the dentist, I found that they help a lot with that with their general demeanor. Great experience

Dr Simonar is an excellent Dentist. He takes the time to explain every procedure he does. . I am usually apprehensive about needles and freezing but it was no sweat at all when he did my recent molar extraction. Dr Simonar is very professional and truly caring of his patients. I had a dental appointment to repair recent damage to a molar. Dr. Simonar was very caring and informative as to my options for repair. The assistant was very kind while assisting the dentist. I will be having future work done on my teeth in the near future!

I was super anxious about going, but everyone was very straightforward and kind. I explained that I was afraid of shame-based care and haven’t had any trouble with anyone at their office treating me judgementally even with the state of my teeth.

Friendly and experienced dental hygienists leave you smiling ear to ear. The dentists share their knowledge and provide medical care vs a transactional appointment. Oh and they do direct billing and can provide estimates. Yea!

Been coming here for 38 years first with Dr. Hass as a brand new dentist out of dental school then on to Dr. Dutka after he retired. Both are great and have taken great care of my my teeth and gums over the years.

Went in for a appointment. The front desk is a friendly bunch. My doctor and assistant are knowledgeable. They let you know what they are doing as they get your teeth clean and cavity free.
