Lalabazar is a famous market in this area. It is located behind the Sylhet-Dhaka highway. Communication facilities are well developed. Every Saturday and Tuesday is marketday. All kinds of marketing materials are available here especially clothes, hardware items and electronics items etc. Cows, goats, chickens, fish are sold in the marketday. There are several good quality hotels and restaurants here. There are some branches of the country's famous sweet shops here among them Banoful, Madhuban, Fulkoli, Rasmela, Fiza & Co. and others. There are 7-8 kind of Bank branches are here including public and private banks. Also there is a 5 stored mosque and an Eidgah here.
This point is not safe for walk, If anyone want to pass the road he must follow the traffic. I will request to the Bangladesh government for make a foot over-bridge here.... Thanks …
Horrible experience. People of lalabazar are very much ferocious and aggressive. Their behavior is so rude specially with outsiders. True experience.
