"terrible bullied and harassed by teachers constantly, once got held in for the entire day for not eating food they prepared and demanded I eat because I was allergic to it, they called in my parents and told them I was disobeying rules and had refused to leave the room and go to class, when they had demanded I stay there"
Wow, nothing has changed in 9 years. My child was bullied by staff and students, apparently they have a zero tolerance, but they really had zero observation as horrible children could bash my child while the teacher watched AND DID NOTHING Education standard was poor, they involved themselves in private matters and sided, instead of doing what they should I was told my child had progressed the best he could, but after moving schools he caught up almost 2 years of missed education. He got help and support for his spectrum learning issues. And he was in a public school I would never have been able to recommend this school in good conscience. It certainly didn’t help that everyone who worked there had a family tie or connection
We thoroughly love our experience at Lambert. Wilma, her family and teachers, as well as all the extra help and associates, have made us feel listened to, supported and understood in terms of our family’s needs. Our child is so much more relaxed and comfortable in this ‘village-style’ schooling experience. We love the smaller class sizes and that there is far more cross-age interaction. Lambert has a strong emphasis on academic as well as cultural, scientific, artistic and linguistic proficiency. It has been the positive alternative to disappointments with the lack of leadership/bullying policy in a public schooling setting.
I had my son go for a trial day recently, I was told that if things didn’t go well on the Monday he would come back on Wednesday to try again. No one bothered to contact me on Monday or Tuesday. When I rang to ask about going on Wednesday, I was told straight out by Wilma that he was not the right fit, no second chance for a child already struggling with the confidence of learning. Other children have had up to two weeks for their trial! That straight out rejection by someone that made a judgment after one day, has shattered my already struggling son. Thank you for your complete lack of being a child focused school.
Strongly suggest you read the contract. They are about the $ now not the kids. They fail to accommodate the needs of the kids. Think wilma a bit to old now to deal with kids... its her way or the highway.. no patients anymore.. . To make kids eat food they dont like and if they dont they get nothing... not good enough for $120 a week.. i introduced myself then wilma forgets who she talking to..... far to old time to retire for herself and for the kids... maybe write a book on how to be the perfect parent.
terrible bullied and harassed by teachers constantly, once got held in for the entire day for not eating food they prepared and demanded I eat because I was allergic to it, they called in my parents and told them I was disobeying rules and had refused to leave the room and go to class, when they had demanded I stay there. When we went to leave in September, they demanded we pay for a good chunk of the next year because we hadn't given them enough notice of our leaving.
School is ok good teaching but teachers get very rude I was yelled at and sent out of class for not running in my Pe class I think that that was way to over line I shouldn't have to do somthing I don't want to do
This school was the worst experience of my life each day I felt like dying the teachers were abusive all the time and the food tasted terrible I definitely do not recommend going there
An absolutely awful school, completely controlling of students, abusive teachers and more. I recommend anything but this school.
as a reward on the last day until the holidays wilma made us watch a boring movie instead of recess
Lambert school are so respectful to the children and their individual needs.
apparently they have a zero tolerance, but they really had zero observation.
