Wonderful little park and walking tracks. Direct access to water. A boat ramp nearby. There are picnic tables, toilets and BBQ on site. There is also a playground for kids. The parking is rather limited, for only about 20 cars of that. The Walking track is beautiful and well paved (mostly). You can even continue your walk through the hiking trail that leads to the Morgan's Boat Ramp. The beach allows for fishing or launching kayaks. The water might be a bit dirty though.
Playground
Pretty big playground. In good condition. Not fenced off.
Restrooms
2 public toilets.
Dog-friendliness
No dogs allowed
Picnic area
3 picnic tables.

I took my kids here with my wife.. My kids are 7 and 6 years of age. The place has nice sitting area where you can bring a picnic blanket or fire up a BBQ. I'm not sure if it's because of the drought we are facing in Australia but the grass is not as pretty as it is in the photos that you see in google at the moment.. It has a lovely walking track that crosses the water.. The park is close to the main river. Like any place with water near a park. Keep your kids close... A nice playground for the kids. The parking is a little chaotic as most of the time, especially on weekends you can't get a car park.

I'm an independent disability support worker and I took two of my participants to Lambeth Reserve to exercise. Both men had never been there before and totally enjoyed their experience. We went late in the afternoon arriving at around 5 pm on Wednesday 9/12/20 and again on Friday 11/12/20 as they both loved it so much. They both used the exercise equipment wiping it down before and after use. Then we all went for a walk along the fantastic boardwalk next to the river. We walked from Lambeth Reserve to the Picnic Point boat ramp and they loved the scenery and boats on the water.

Perfect for a walk or barbeque with family and friends- it is located just a few mins drive from the southern Sydney ( close to Georges River National Park). It has a beautiful view of the Georges River and is always visited by fishing enthusiasts. There's a children's play area and public toilets ( wheelchair accessible). There is a beautiful board walk along the river which runs across it- perfect for a walk any day! The entry is concealed and could be missed and a bit steep, too. So, drive slowly closer to entrance!

The equipment is a little old but still fun for the kids. The bark is a little old school and annoying for the kids wearing sandals. Bathroom available in a pretty convenient position, nice spots for fishing and sand for kids to play with. The speeding boats and her skis are a little annoying, but not sure how much can be done about that. Just make sure your kids don't go too deep into the water to avoid them. The biggest issue is the parking. Prepare to park a fair way away on a nice weekend day.

A lovely spot by the Georges River. Easy access, limited parking. Shady and picturesque walking paths/boardwalk - wheelchair/pram suitable. Didn't require or see a toilet block but expect there is one. Nice open grassed areas for a picnic but not much shade. Average playground - more suited to 5 - 10 year olds though there were plenty of toddler swings. Not comfortable with the proximity of the adult gym equipment to the playground. That's a nasty child related accident waiting to happen.

A quiet getaway located on the banks of George's River. Around 20 minutes drive from Roselands. Perfect for having some time off the city while you're in the city. You can BBQ on coal or available electric grills. The reserve has a small kids playground. Many people come with their fishing gear and relax. Other water sports are common in the river such as jet ski and sailing. The parking space is somehow limited so take care as you can't go there without a private car or Uber.

  • Gav Holz

Took my son fishing here one morning. Parking was easy as we were the only ones there. Probably about 40-50 car spaces in the parking lot. There's a pier, 3 or 4 little beaches at high tide or 2 long beaches at low tide. There's a play gym park for the kids and also exercise equipment for adults. Public toilets are there but stinky. To the left there is a board walk that takes you around the waterfront and in places over the water. Take insect repellent!

This is a beautiful park near a river. The location is great and easily accessible. The park does not have enough parking spots. The parking area is always full and I have seen cars parked in no parking area as well. Another issue is the long queue in front of washrooms. I don't think this park can handle the high number of visitors. Apart from parking and toilets, this park is great for a picnic. It is quite spacious and has a lot of bbq and play area.

  • Shayne McMillan

Love visiting this place. Off the main road away from traffic. It has a newly cleared and cleaned little 'beach section on the waters edge, great for paddling, putting in a kayak or having a flick for fish. Has 3 or 4 covered picnic seating areas, a clean toilet block and a great little play gym/swings for the little ones. If you feel like a great shoreline walk you can use the new boardwalk which takes you round to the old boat house.

  • Terry Hutchings

Nice, quiet, peaceful with well maintained facilities like covered picnic tables; gas bbq's; bins for hot coals and rubbish. Also, the wheelchair friendly grounds extend right to the two nice little sandy beaches. As well, thanks to a well made and maintained boardwalk along the waters edge you can walk the roughly one klm to Fitzpatrick Park reserve and beyond to other walking tracks at Padstow Heights.

  • Henry Szymczak

Very nice place for a walk. From Lambeth Park Reserve it's a pleasant walk along the boardwalk to Picnic Point and back or if you're feeling more energetic you can go as far as Revesby Beach boat Ramp, a distance of about 10 km for the round trip. You can also do well fishing here with species such as Bream, Blackfish, Whiting and Mulloway on offer. There's also a playground for the younger children.

  • Sarah Stenhouse

We had a great time here, the kids had a ball fishing, kayaking and swimming. We had a BBQ lunch and stayed all day.
Playground
Has an exercise area as well as a playground for the kids. 2 swing sets and 2 monkey bars, great for the kids
Restrooms
Toilets could handle being cleaned more often, especially in such a popular area. Unisex toilets but also wheelchair accessible

  • Mark T

A beautiful spot on the Georges River at Picnic Point. Parking for about 30 cars.. Plenty parking midweek but a little more difficult weekends. Grass area and several picnic tables or BYO table and chairs. Toilet facilities.. good and clean. Pleasant views. No photos to post unfortunately but highly recommend as a picnic destination, just lovely.

  • Gigi Tan

Perfect spot to de-stress and enjoy nature. Great for meditation, walks, and family picnic. Kids can come and play, there is a small playground for the kids. Some people also come here for fishing. You can start your walk here to Georges National Park through the board walk and along Picnic Point Reserve and parks along the way. I love it!

  • jaif A

This is a great place to relax and hang out. There is a nice scenic pathway for walking. There is also a small beach where people can swim but there is no lifeguards to look after and help children if they (hopefully don't!) drift away or drown. There is a rest room, water fountain, and shelter. Would definitely recommend!

  • Stefano Borsellino

Honestly i couldnt pick a better place to lay back and relax with the kids and partner Great play area Gym equipment is great The view and fresh air I go hear often for a picnic with the family Highly recommended
Playground
Perfect for the kids
Dog-friendliness

Picnic area

It's been 50 yrs since I have visited Lambeth Reserve as it was my local park during my teen years in the 70's. We used to walk along the foreshore at low tide from Lambeth to Picnic Point, over mangroves and rocks. The new walk way is fantastic, some of the old sandstone staircases can still be seen along the way.

  • Simon Chiang

Good little park. Has a playground for kids, boardwalk for longer walks, river for fishing, and grassy area to kick a ball. The parking gets full really quickly, and I don't know how clean the toilet is. Also there are duck droppings on large parts of the grass near the river. Get there early to get a good spot.

  • Mandy Jovcevski

Beautiful park. Great for the kids and plenty of grass for kids to run around and have a picnic. Also the lake just there and the geese are always nearby :) Only thing I have to say is driving down to the carpark is quite hard whether you're in a small car or SUV/4WD. Several pot holes that need to be fixed.

  • Dee Y

Nice walk, with a large portion on a well built boardwalk easy to walk for all. We took the dog for a walk and it was very pleasant. Could follow along the trail for a while until you hit George’s river NP (no dogs!) Nice area for family picnic. There was an ice cream van too. Parking can be limited.

  • Andrew New

This park by the Georges River has intrigued me for many years. I recently renewed my interest when taking my nursing home bound mother for a lunchtime visit. Both us gorging on a lovely pork roll then soaking up some winter sun. A great stop for any weary traveller along Henry Lawson Drive. …

  • Rizwan F

Loved the calmness and serenity of the park just beside the river. Went there on a slightly cloudy day. Still it looked magnificent. Kids park needs restoration. The outdoor exercise facilities are also great. BBQ facilities and seating available here as well. Did not see the amenities though.

  • Metta Mediator

Nice park near the river. Great for walks along the river on the boardwalk. Kids play area and space for picnics with car park close by. Good facilities with toilets and sheltered tables with benches. The water isn't clean enough to swim in but kids seem to enjoy the small sandy area.

  • Carlos Perez

A nice park on the river with off street parking ,2 electric BBQ'S and 4 or 5 picnic tables ,toilets, with wheelchair access exercise equipment, kids playground ,and a walking track along river ,nice and peaceful most of the time can get very busy during certain times of year .

  • Jessica Lilley

This is a lovely place to go for walks or picnics. My preschooler enjoys the playground, watching the boats on the water and digging in a small sandy section net the board walk. We often go on a weekday or early on the weekend as parking is very limited and fills up quickly.

  • Shafayat Chowdhury

Beautiful place for the whole family.. It has a play area for the kids with some instruments for the adults to exercise. Few shades with benches & tables to enjoy your meal. The lake is perfect for fishing. The only drawback is it has only one bbq place with two cook top.

  • Ty Whiteman

A beautiful little spot down by the river for a family picnic or BBQ. There is play equipment for the kids and plenty of shade, and as the bank of the river is right by the park you can cast a line and have a bit of a fish for some fun too if that's your thing.

  • Elliot Gurney

It's a great park! So many families visit. The only downside is the council really needs to add more bins. As a local, its frustrating to see many people do the right thing and collect rubbish, only for it to spill out and leave an unpleasant site sometimes.

  • Jenny Chen

Plenty of shaded area for a picnic or bbq, with a playground and toilet facilities. Great place to spend a day, but it starts getting packed on weekends around noon, and when we were there lots of cars were double parked and blocking the narrow entrance.

  • Sean Creek

Great little park, wide grassed areas and a playground. Sandy shallow access to Georges River for a kayak or the kids to have a dip in the water. Nice boardwalk along the river for a walk too. Could do with more tables and car parking is limited.

  • Joe C

Love this park on the river. My wife & I bring our toddler here regularly & loves it. Nicely kept green grass parkland, picnic tables, a good play ground and a walking track through the bush around the river. Wild ducks & seagulls too.

  • Kate Crawford

This is an amazing reserve with a kids playground, river access with sand, a toilet block and a boardwalk for a nice stroll. Unfortunately during summer the boardwalk is a real haven for mosquitoes. You'll see hundreds at a time.

  • Rachel Nakhle

Lovely park and playground and walking track. Toilet facilities were very dirty and not usable in my opinion. Even my kids refused to go in there.
Restrooms
Dirty, wet everywhere and clearly not cleaned regularly enough

  • Kirill Frolov

Wonderful place on the river bank, there are barbies, small parking and a couple of picnic tables. There's also large kids' playground. It is from this place where the majestic boardwalk starts towards Fitzpatrick park.

  • Hazem El-Alfy

Nice place with kid’s playground and mini beach on the river bank. Five shaded seating areas. Barbecue ready. Two handicap accessible toilets. The park is a bit small and the parking is convenient to the park size

  • Mohamed Marei

Very nice spot for family time, picnic, or having bbq. The park isn't that big, but the location is special, just on the riverside and usually not busy, so you can enjoy. Not sure about toilets availability.

  • fay bennett

3 bus loads of Aged care folk enjoyed a barbie and salad then games eg egg and spoon race Birds came to visit and kookaburras laughed at the antics all in good humour good day was had in lovely park.

  • Chris Betcher

Lovely little Park by the Georges River. It was my local park when I was a kid. It's changed a bit but still has a children's play area, BBQs, sheltered tables and is a popular place for a picnic.

  • Michael Malak

Great park with a small play ground for the kids, a small beach area with sand and the start of a beautiful walk.on weekends there's a coffee van and icecream truck in the carpark too.

  • N. C.

There's water, there's barbeque areas, a jetty, a walk. Expect it to be busy on the holidays and the flat open space does mean that noise travels from one end to the other. It's fine.

  • My Nguyen

Came here an hour before sunset. The light and the sky is brilliant for a walk along the boardwalk. There's an area on the right side of the carpark that could be used for a picnic.

  • Tim

Great place for a walk or for the kids to use the playground or picnic area. Very clean, and the walking track is also well maintained. Lovely views on the walk. More

  • Drach Enfels

Kids playground is ok, the trail along the river is level and pretty good, just keep eye on young kids near river. Toilets available as well, parking can be the issue

  • Simon Shaw

I take my dogs for a walk along the riverside trail and into the adjacent park area. Very relaxing and picturesque. Good for a barby or a picnic with the family too.

  • Pham Luat

Not much to do here. If you want to go for a picnic, there are better parks around that has much more to offer. This park is dirty, old and has nothing to offer.

  • Samantha Bulic

The most beautiful park and Lovely boardwalk along the river! Yes to toilets. No to being fenced. Yes to parking but it's limited as there is only a small lot.

  • ali wahidi

Great place for family and kids . You can enjoy your BBQ and day out here. There is a walking trail takes from a place to another alongside the river. …

  • Amanda Buggy

Toilets, electric BBQ, pininc benches, kids playground and exercise machines. Along with a sandy beach great for digging or fishing or launching a canoe.

  • Muhammad Taimur Akber

Nice and quiet, play area for kids, parking can get full rather quickly on the weekend; plenty of people fishing nearby so seems like a good fishing spot

  • Maurice Boyce

Very pleasant nature reserve, picnic spot, children's playground and with a great boardwalk alongside the Georges near the Sydney suburb of Panania.
