Their was 4 adults and 1 child we got there a little after 2, busy but no waiting. The menu is big looks like a little book. I ordered the open face hot roast beef sandwich with mash potatoes and it said came with salad. My son ordered Italian trio, it came with salad he asked could he have a Caesar salad instead of house he said sure, didn't mention it was an up charge of 2$ so I said I'll have that too. My husband got the fried chicken it said it came with onion rings and he could pick another side. My daughter-in-law got Alfredo with shrimp, he didn't ask about salad or a side. When the food came, he told my husband that the chicken was only for supper but they were going to make it for him, it would be done in about 5 minutes. The Alfredo was supposed to come with mushrooms and broccoli and a side salad, that's how it was listed in the menu, again he said that was only for supper but he would have them fix it for her. She asked for the Caesar salad but he brought house, which was the same size as the Caesar salad we didn't know we were paying an extra 2$ for. They finally brought out my husband's chicken the onion rings were 3. The food wasn't bad nothing to right home about but the service was horrible. Will not go back.

My first visit to Landmark with my friend who has been several times. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The menu has several items, so it was hard to narrow down to a choice. Started with Spanakopita for appetizer. For an entrée, roasted turkey breast, dressing & gravy, due to some reviews, with mashed potatoes and green beans. The green beans were savory. The turkey & dressing was so delicious that I slowed down to savor the flavors. My friend had one of the daily specials, spaghetti with meatballs. She said it was good too. I also brought home some Mile High chocolate cake for my husband and a walnut brownie for myself later. The brownie was awesome. I will be back to try other options. They do have an all day breakfast menu. The second visit today food was good, but the service left a lot to be desired. Food took way too long to come out. Waiter had to be chased down for water refills, to ask for dessert, and to bring check

Our go to restaurant for years because of the variety available. 6 or 8 people can each order different types of food and everyone be happy. One of our friends is a strict vegan and she loves the veggies and salads here. I am a meat and potatoes guy so my favorites are the pork chops, beef liver, and chicken livers. I especially like pork chops and eggs for breakfast. I am also a fan of salads and my favorite is the Mediterranean Chicken. My wife usually gets the turkey and dressing which I also like. It's almost more than I can eat. Almost. I'm a big eater. They also have pasta dishes that I hear are great, but I'm not really into that. Burgers and sandwiches are really good, too. You really can't go wrong here. Tonight I had pork chops, baked potato, and salad for $16.95. Fried squash a la carte and tea are extra. See photo.

Amazing local breakfast spot! (Open for other meals- we only came for breakfast.) My family enjoyed this local diner twice on our visit to Charlotte because the food, service, and environment were great. They have a friendly team that will take great care of you! The menu offers so much variety with such value. I enjoyed 3 chocolate chip pancakes with 5 pieces of bacon. The Challah bread French toast with cinnamon and sugar is delicious and unique! The Challah bread is homemade in store. They also have great eggs, bacon, sausage, grits, breakfast potatoes & more! Great seating options for parties of all sizes, we had a party of 7 comfortably at a large booth. The bathrooms were nice, they offer a case of baked goods and breads to enjoy there or take home. Don’t miss enjoying this fabulous local diner! They serve coke products and Mr. Pibb.

We’ve been coming to Landmark for years and have always enjoyed our meals. Last night was not their best night when it comes to the food. I ordered the hot open turkey sandwich with gravy and they laid a couple pieces of white meat turkey over the dark meat (usually it’s all white meat and not shreds of dark meat). We got some desserts and their marble chocolate cake with a chocolate covered strawberry on top had mold on the strawberry and the cake tasted like it was a couple days old. Oh and the bread they give you while waiting for your meal tasted like chemicals. We loved this place and one bad night ruined it for us.

I've been going to the Landmark for the past 27 years since I moved to NC the first thing I tried was the pizza bagel with fries and I've been hooked ever since! The breakfast items are delicious as well and I absolutely love their French toast. I highly recommend them

The food was great. Awesome gyro, burgers, and Philly cheese steaks. Get dessert....it's amazing. Fries were okay too. Our server was not so good. She must have been having an awful day. She was completely disinterested in taking our order, bringing sweetener, or even the right drink. Everything we did or said seemed to be a bother. She was frustrated that we ordered dessert (which is one of the BIGGEST reasons to come here), and was short with us when she spoke to us. I do understand everyone has an off day. The 4 stars are for the food and sweet hostess . I would have to give 1 star for service.

Went for breakfast there on 6/26. The waitstaff was friendly and attentive. The food was excellent. I had an omelet with grits and a biscuit. I managed to eat about 3/4 of my breakfast and was full for most of the day. Their prices have not gone up (maybe a little) but it was still very reasonable. My meal was about $12 with coffee (before tip). They have had to remove smoked salmon from the menu because of cost, so be aware of that. Oh, and spend a moment gazing longingly at the desert case, it is quite impressive. If anything speaks to you, don't hesitate to take it home with you, I've been happy with the deserts I've had there, just didn't get any on this visit.

  • E P

Don’t recommend for salads Well I fell like they should tell you that their grilled Chicken that you expect to be freshly grilled is cold.. And then give you the option to get it warmed up or the option for for or cold. Oh, and their excuse is cold chicken goes on a cold salad and that is a lie because everywhere else sells grilled hot food on a cold, lettuce bed. So whoever told them to say that they need to just change it, or just say they prefer to put cold chicken on a cold item based. I got a waffle from them a couple days ago. It was pretty good. The bacon was OK. I definitely wanted to try something else but after this fiasco, I don’t know.

I absolutely love coming here for breakfast or lunch, I haven't come for dinner yet but it is next on the list. I love the breakfast meal I usually get, Corned beef hash with two eggs over medium, grits and white toast, and sometimes I add biscuits and gravy and I am full to the brim. Excellent service and delicious food for very good prices. I recommend Landmark to everyone I know!

My family party of 8 all very much enjoyed our dinner this evening at Landmark. The waitress did an excellent job serving our table and the owner very kindly greeted us at the end. He's a Greek immigrant who's been in the restaurant business all his life and knows how to serve up delicious cuisine.

The apple turnover is absolutely delicious, however their regular food is subpar and bland. I went with a friend who had raved about this place, however the lady from the counter who had to help our server was the most unhelpful, unfriendly, and rude person I have ever met. I understand lack of staff and not being able to accommodate every allergen due to the way the food is prepped. What I don't understand is why we were met with attitude and hostility when asked if we could make substitutions. Do not recommend for anyone with food allergies (such as gluten) or diety restrictions. They will not allow for substitutions.

Good service and great food. Handicapp parking can be difficult to find. Dont expect a Happy Birthday for your 88 year old mother. Not the place to celebrate Moms birthday, go to Sunrise on Albemarle Road. Its a big deal at Sunrise. Other than that, the food is great and the service is goid.

Ok, this place was just a shot in the dark. We were looking for an IHOP-ish breakfast.... but, I'M SO GLAD WE DIDN'T FIND IT! This place blew our expectations away! They had EVERYTHING that you could want from a traditional breakfast menu. They were also serving lunch as well. Our waitress was so nice and helpful. Then the glass case of amazing desserts! (see my pics) You will just have to go in and see for yourself! We will absolutely be returning to this little gem! Thank you, Landmark Restaurant and Diner!

Food was amazing, i got the Triple Decker Sandwich #6 with fries and didn’t expect so much food, but it was absolutely amazing! Afterwards, I got the Strawberry and regular Cheesecake and they were also incredible! The smoothness and flavor from both is amazing. Our server, Jamie was also the bomb, I have never met a more enthusiastic and respectful server, EVER, and she absolutely, served!!!

The quality of this returant just isn't what we were expecting. We went in late at night (11pmish) to grab some dinner and the restaurant was just kind of drab from the get go. We waited for around 14 mintues to get our drink order in, and my food (the Greek plate) was served lukewarm with wilted salad. The food was otherwise okay, the quality wasn't anything to rave about and for the price I think it was a bit overpriced. If you're looking for some place open late at night and you don't care particularly about the quality, then this place will be a good fit for you.

  • Henry Reeves

I eat here at least once year, every year, around this time of year. Many times, I eat here with a large group of people 2 or 3 times in November. The food is always good. For some reason they don't always get my order correct the first time, but they do always get it right eventually. Many thanks to Landmark for another great dining experience. I'm out of time to provide additional commentary.

I have eaten here in the past for lunch and was extremely satisfied. Chose to go for dinner and was unimpressed. The bread was dry and it was served on top of a basket of crackers that contained open packages with some of the crackers missing. Our entrees were tasty, though, and they were large portions. Our waitress was very efficient and helpful in recommendations. Did not try any of the desserts this time, but next time will have to consider starting with dessert as they had a nice selection from cakes, brownies, pies to baklava and other Greek pastries.

Okay so my car was repo'd and I can't get to Golden Corral. Landmark filled the empty space in my stomach. They feed you... I have not completely finished a full meal from them yet. That's just how much food they serve. Every plate of food I have ordered from them has been absolutely good. Price... Priceless

They seem to be struggling with food.. And enough employees. For the most part the employees they have are amazing.. except for the one guy who just stays on his phone and leans against the wall. They used to be so good, The waffles have been almost raw The last several times and the eggs which I ordered scrambled were completely raw. Quickly moving from a favorite to a no.

I was visiting the area, and this was my companions' choice. I wanted something different, so I ordered the shrimp and spaghetti with a side ceaser. It was too much mayo in the dressing. I wanted to order the Greek salad, but my body would have exploded from the sodium content. The waitress was overly attentive. Every 3 minutes or less, she would appear to ask if we were still okay. The desserts looked good, but I was full.

Since moving to Charlotte this has been one of my favorite places to eat..Until tonight, for starters server Keelee has the WORST disposition to be in the service industry Secondly, after ordering a drink from the bar, she and the lady at the front went back and forth in disgust of MY drink(Crown and Apple juice while I sat there) they were out of Crown but proceeds to tell him how much it cost as if it were out of my price range. Just go somewhere else!!!!

Typical diner food and decent prices. Not too much flavor or special iconic meals to choose from. I’ll try to recommend the Cahalla French toast it’s the most favorite out of my party of 8! My party mostly disliked the Philly cheesesteak, not a crowd pleaser not good meat or something. FOOD: ⭐️⭐️ missing flavors on everything but Large portion sizes PRICE:: ⭐️⭐️⭐️ decent for food portion, most plates less than $20 LOCATION:: ⭐️⭐️small parking area hidden with only a giant “L” on the building

Super clean place with a friendly waitstaff. The omelette I had was good. What I really enjoyed was my cup of decaf coffee. Best decaf I’ve ever had since getting to NC and Charlotte a few weeks ago. I’d come back again to see what the lunch and dinner offerings are like. They had a fantastic looking selection of cakes. I can see parking could be an issue in busier times of the day. All in all a great old diner.

Save your money go somewhere else, the food is burnt the sides are served just like in this photo below not even cut up ! The main dish is also burnt ! We ordered jalapeño poppers as appetizer and they came out burnt they looked like they came from Walmart frozen isle! The restaurant is filthy and the walls are torn up and the ceiling has multiple leaks !!! If I’m going to spend $45 on a meal for two I would rather go to longhorn, chipotle, or cheese cake factory! This was not worth a dime!

  • Ken Hill

Our server was attentive, professional, and extremely good at making us feel valued. We went to a late breakfast and, although the food was good, some of it appeared to have been pulled from a warming tray. This is our second time going to the Landmark. This is one of my favorites! I visit frequently. Ordered a burger/fries, said I didn't need must/ketchup, I would just have bbq sauce instead. This was after I had already paid, was told bbq sauce would be an additional 1.50$. Not a problem, but I had already paid and didn't have cash. I wish she had just extended me that kindness, with the knowledge of cost for my next visit...I also work in food service...

The service was decent but the food has severely gone downhill, sadly. My bf and I used to come here allll time but the last few times we came the food doesn't have the same flavor quality that it used to have even gave a year and a half before coming back and the food was still lacking, no seasoning whatsoever. The dessert is the only thing that still remains amazing.

Ordered a grilled chicken salad and it came with cut up sliced cheese instead of shredded. The lettuce was slightly brown. The cucumbers and tomatoes were cut huge. I had to recut on my own. The chicken was very limited. Paid $16 for nothing. I didn’t eat it. Just got a to go box, paid and left. Won’t be returning. I has a better experience previously ordered the same thing and it was great that time.

Great experience at this restaurant. We visited here because of the highlight on one of Guy Fieri's Drive-in, Diners & Dives TV show. Service was great, wife had a chicken Gyro with Greek salad & vegetable soup and I had the Greek Gyro with Greek salad and an excellent potato soup. Service was excellent and friendly. Would highly recommend this for your choice for lunch or dinner destination!

Overall this is one of my favorite restaurants. they put a lot of effort into everything. My wife, daughter and I come here regularly for breakfast and it is excellent. The food is delicious, the service is very very good (they must hire and retain very well), the restaurant itself is homey and clean, the prices are reasonable and portions generous..... I cant say enough about this place.

  • Ro Wright

I come here often. The food is good and the portions are enough for 2 people. The staff are always welcoming! If you like chocolate try the tuxedo cake! My favorites are Chicken Tips with rice, & The Trio. They also have daily specials. These are photos of the brand new menu as of 10/01/22! Stay Hydrated!

The food was DISGUSTING. The Owner John told my waiter I waited to long to say I didn’t like it. When it took me time to cut up all my meat in my food and mix it. Also the waiter did not come back after I had done so. I asked to speak with him and he decided he wanted to leave. With my waiter letting him know that was waiting for him. Very unacceptable service.

Came here for breakfast as I was visiting. I read that this restaurant was featured on Diners, Drive Ins and Dives on the food Channel so I gave it a go. The atmosphere was great, the staff was very attentive and kind and the food was great! I had the Omega special with the challah French toast and I was pleased. I recommend the French toast fro breakfast!

The food is okay. I grew up going to Landmark all the time, so... idk maybe I’ve just had my fair share. I feel like depending on what you get it’s okay or really good. The waitresses are the friendly staff that I’ve seen. You would be disappointed going. If not anything else, the staff. Ask for Sara.

Other than the fact that I had to ask 4 times over a 30 minute period for ranch dressing, everything else was great. Just would've been nice to have the ranch WITH the cheese stick, especially considering we asked for both at the same time. But overall, we'll be back. Server was very kind.

Eat breakfast here every morning and dinner 3 or 4 times a month. Breakfast is always great and the staff are very courteous. Kelly, Morgan, and Brandy are the best waitresses without a doubt. Dinner is always excellent and the amount of food can easily feed 2 from a single entree.

Down home atmosphere, lots of food options southern breakfast, steaks, pasta, Greek goods like grape leaves, big portions, prices reasonable; adult beverages and amazing dessert options. Waiter John fabulously patient and helpful. Good easy going local eating place. Enjoy. peace.

Very disappointed in the food, the potatoes were cold and sausage was burnt. To add to it, my boyfriend left his sunglasses on the table and the server claimed to “not see them” when we came back an hour after to get them. Not much integrity in that.

Great breakfast and lunch spot. That's why it's so popular. Service is great, extensive menu and a drink bar. Had a mix of breakfast and lunch items: French Onion Soup, Farmers breakfast with grits and biscuits, and the flounder lunch with pickled beets. Great food reasonable prices and a great bakery selection.

I've come here once a week for quite awhile now, I will say that the food, prices, and service has never left me disappointed. The portions are huge, and I always leave full. It's a great little diner and they do offer take out I believe!

My son and I love this diner and go here all the time! He loves the old fashioned breakfast options and the service is typically fantastic. Tip: there are two rushes on Sunday mornings, one for the early birds at 9:30 and one for the church crowd around 11:30 - try to miss that rush!

  • Sharyn Doerwald

Went here today while I waited for my ring to be finished across the parking from the jewelry store. Had the junior tuna salad which was quite large! Decent price, friendly server. Next time I'm in the area I'd come here. It's a bit of a distance from North Charlotte but worth it.

  • Deshai Hughes

First time I ever been there and wasn't felt welcome. Not sure why. The front staff seemed like they didn't want me in there. Hate to bring up race but I am a black man. I was on lunch break and had on scrubs idk. I usually get a nice quick welcome. I'm sure the food will be good.

The service was terrible and slow. It wasn't crowded this morning at all. My waiter wasn't willing or tentative to refills or giving napkins. Food was nasty and cold. Then management did nothing nor cared to express concerns.

Very traditional diner vibe with great service! The portions are above average and the food is FAST! I love the pastry/ cake selection and the pricing is incredibly reasonable. Ample parking! I usually work while I am out, but I was not able to access WiFi here.

The food is fantastic. Delicious and fresh!! Our server was Ashley, she’s sweetheart and an amzaing person. The food was down on average time, no delay. My sister goes there almost every week and she confirmed me that Ashley is one of the best.

The chicken sandwich was very dry, not a lot of seasoning, and hardly worth trying to eat. The server was super nice though and did a great job. My friend did like the chicken salad sandwich. I’ll try something else for sure if I ever go back.

A friend gave me the gift of this place. I am a sugar junkie, and we got deserts. Oh my GOD-ness. Would definitely have the red velvet cake as part of my last meal if I were on death row.

I visited here w/ my friend who is Greek. We both got gyros and they were cooked perfectly. The waitress was new, but she was very friendly and honest. At times when we asked questions, if she didn’t know the answer, she would ask someone.

I've had the grits and eggs in the past and they were A1, but when I tell you that the French toast was worth the trip to Charlotte, it really was. Be prepared for great service though there is usually a full house.

I typically get the chicken souvlaki but last time I got the cheese steak. It really is hard to go wrong here. And they have the best onion rings in town imo. The desserts are must, especially the tuxedo mousse.
