Cosy, relaxed-feel cafe. Delightful selection of food and drinks! Excellent Coffee, Hearty and generous servings of food, Very friendly staff. Good Morning burger is honestly THE BEST any-time-of-the-day food and you can never go wrong. Ordered repeatedly for a year every weekend, then I learned to give others a chance and I’m glad I did! Corn fritters - they make it from scratch. Fresh and very tasty! Buttermilk Pancakes - two fluffy pancakes is simply not enough, Laneway gives you three Love their Smashed Avo on toast too!! with egg, red pepper pesto, peas, feta, mint, spinach, and more AVO - absolutely delicious. Their own Pear bread and Muffins are so delightful! They have plenty of options I have yet to try, like the wagyu beef burger, shakshuka and more. Already heard good reviews on it and I’m excited to try. And yes, their Good Morning burger is divine. It is truly awesome. Thank you Will and the team at Laneway! You have definitely served one of the most delicious meals and dinners I’ve had: pre-, during and post Covid ☺️ And it always gets better each visit.

A friend of mine took here for brunch after a game of golf and I loved it. As we normally do after a game wanted to get a good Aussie bacon and egg roll :-) this place has a GMB 2 which is a bacon and egg roll with a hash brown, tomatoes, lettuce and smashed avocados. The roll was amazingly good with the egg fried perfectly and the bacon was abundant and really nice. One of the best ones so far and I licked my plate clean. The banana and oat smoothie was also excellent and I really enjoyed it. Service was very good and friendly and the food came out pretty quick too. All in all a great experience and I would come back here for a meal any day. Located down a laneway in Cammeray it’s a nice place to enjoy a drink or a meal.

Friendly staff, great food and amazing coffee. Boutique cafe nestled in the picturesque heart of Cammeray village, staff are always warm and welcoming greeting you with a smile, food is of good quality and variety and the cats pyjamas blend of coffee is simply amazing.

'Eggs Benny'! Their description, not mine. Eggs done to perfection, Hollandaise excellent, muffin crusty. My only criticism is the knife supplied. The knife refused to cut the base of the muffin. Easily overcome by requesting a steak knife. Please note that the venue is mostly outdoor and pet friendly. I took a Sheltie, five other dogs in attendance and a pair of Border Collie are regular passers by. No aggression but some vocalisations.

Very friendly service. Food was delicious and arrived quickly after ordering even though Cafe was busy. Great coffee Cats Pyjamas by Seven Seeds. Set back from the busy road so bit quieter than other options nearby. And they split bills without any attitude.. that always scores points from me

Don’t order anything that says grilled chicken here. The grilled chicken they serve is the third class cheap processed chicken rolled into a loaf that you find in Coles or Woolies deli. That comes pre-cooked, they microwave the slice and mix with their kinda grill sauce, that’s it. Such a nasty poor quality for a health freak like me. They call it grilled chicken in all their recipes. In fact, you know what a grilled chicken is if you were not grown up feeding on this kind of trash. Five stars is for putting this at the top.

The staff are friendly. The setting is great. You can't get there easily by public transport. But when you get there the dishes are tasty and filling. The serving size is decent. There is another very big and busy cafe next to it. You might have to wait a little while for table if you get there between 10 and 11am. Specially on weekends. But busy means good. The locals eat here which is always a good sign. Will visit again and recommend to others.

Very pleasant lunch with friends and my 16wk old puppy. They were very kind to my dog, bringing a cold bottle of water and a dog bowl; much appreciated on a hot day. My Niçoise Salad was lovely as was my coffee. My friends’ wagyu burger and pulled pork burger weren’t wonderful, but quite adequate. Was surprised there was no kombucha on the drinks menu. Lovely, friendly service and reasonable prices, and overall a relaxing enjoyable lunch.

Came here for breaky on sunday morning and the place was packed (always a good sign!) The menu is full of delicious options, i was slightly overwhelmed so just ordered the scrambled eggs on toast with bacon and spinach. I wish i had ordered the smashed avocado on toast, the shakshuka or the corn fritters and they all looked super tasty. Ill definitely be coming back here. The service was great, portions huge and not too expensive.

After visiting Laneway this morning for an incredible breakfast, we're looking to make this our regular Sunday spot. I cannot fault the 'breakfast jar' - stewed rhubarb, bircher muesli, fresh apple and strawberries, topped with toasted coconut flakes and goji berries - just a few of my most favourite things. Their coffee, as well as the prices and service, is impeccable. An absolute local gem.

  • Henry Watermelon

Horrible - this place is listed as one of the best gyros places on the north shore but the owners must have changed since then. I ordered a lamb gyros which didn't look anything like a gyros and the meat was so badly off it tasted like fish. They replaced it but got no apology or even a discount for being served rotten food. I can only imagine what Gordon Ramsay would say....

  • Ray Moebes

Love Laneway! The food is excellent and the service fast and friendly. Overall a really great relaxed feel, always good for an early morning brekkie or even a quick coffee... While it can get quite busy on the weekends, the short wait that is sometimes needed is definitely worth it! Would recommend this adorable little place to anyone - Great location too and fairly priced...

  • Samuel Mclean

My breakky (one of the make-your-own arrangements with eggs + toast + whatever else you want) was surprisingly a bit bland - very little seasoning on the eggs and the halloumi was a bit underdone, Prices were okay though, and the rest of the group had the burger and said it was good. Will have to try it again one day, might have just caught them on a really busy morning.

  • Jo Haha

Friendly neighborhood cafe, very chilled atmosphere on a beautiful day. We had the haloumi salad and beef burger. The burger was excellent, though I found the asparagus on my salad old and tough, everything else was perfect. We got a bonus free blueberry muffin as we were leaving, maybe it was because they are closing for the day, but it was very yummy and appreciated!

Hands-down the best coffee in the Shire and the Laneway wrap is great. Bright and friendly staff, and the back courtyard is beautiful.

Come here several times a week for take out coffee and once a week for sit down breakfast, and every time it’s exceptional! The quality and service is top notch, everything tastes amazing and you get it so fast no matter how busy they are. Not exaggerating when I say this is my favourite spot in Sydney

  • Penny Armytage

Hidden at the end of a laneway off the main drag, this cafe is worth seeking out. Great coffee, nice atmosphere and good service. and while I didn't have one, the breakfast burger looked amazing. Parking available in the back street parallel and east of Miller St.

Great vibe and food. Affordable. One recommendation is to increase the serving size of the chicken. I ordered a chicken gyros and only got 2 tiny fillets of chicken. Fixing that would make this place 5 star

Dirty floors, Sticky tables, the 5 staff members that are there just talk and talk and do as little as possible to do some work every one hide inside the kitchen. now I know why not many people are coming here and every one preferred the coffee shop next door

  • Jennifer Lau

A local cafe full of energy. I have lived in the area for more than 20 years but have never visited this cafe until the COVID lock down. All their food, drinks and people are great and lively. The chicken burger and iced coffee are my favourite. Keep it up!

  • Marie Efstathiou

One of my absolutely favourite cafes! Food is wonderful with really generous portion sizes and the staff are so LOVELY and helpful and always remember me :) It's not cheap but well worth it. Great for breakfast and lunch. The pancakes and huge and amazing!

Laneway Cafe is nicely tucked away in the pedestrian only lane for in Cammeray. I ordered scrambled eggs with mushrooms and tomatoes for breakfast. It was extremely tasty and the coffee good too. The staff were very friendly and efficient.

  • Daniel McNamara

This place is amazing. Will, the owner, knows how to operate a first class establishment. The standard cafe fare is great, served up by a dynamic team. Most recently tried the mexiacan night on a Friday night. 1st class. Get here!!!

  • Jo Savill

This lovely cafe with lots of outdoor seating had impeccable service. You immediately are given a bottle of two water and cup as you enter. The coffee and fruit today was fantastic. And it's all very covid-safe. Highly recommended!

Good cafe with plenty of outdoor seating. Usually free tables, unlike the neighbouring Maggios which is nearly always busy. The haloumi salad is really good here. Friendly service and fairly broad menu make this a good choice.

  • Rosie Y

Saturday morning brunch at the Laneway. Smoked salmon benny and cappuccino. Both excellently done! Eggs perfectly poached and the benny temperature was just right such that the smoked salmon didn't get "cooked". Recommended!

  • S. McMahon

Thought the menu was sub standard with little creativity which attracts single and very odd men to this cafe having weird conversation topics with randoms which was very odd putting. $7 for a basic smoothie is disgusting.

  • Sarah Herbert

Laneway has the best coffee & most delicious food in the area. I recommend the good morning burger, maple and bacon pancakes, and the corn fritters. Their service is always so fast & efficient.

Great place. Unless you get a complete drop kick trying to seat people. We waited for 35 minutes to be seated and at the end just kept saying only 10 more minutes. As we watched him seat smaller groups.

  • Matt Seakins

In a laneway packed with choice this cafe shined. Great breakfast here, I enjoyed some delicious balsamic mushrooms and a long black. Coffee was good but not Sydney's finest. Will certainly be back.

  • Helen Foley

Best coffee in Cammeray! Great all-day breakfast menu on the weekends with perfectly poached eggs every time (I'm fussy about my eggs). The menu has good variety and the service is always spot on.

  • Elise Chant

Superb menu and well priced. Coffee was excellent. A cosy spot under the exterior awning and reminiscent Melbourne vibe. Good for rainy days as much as sunny ones. Always has customers.

Lovely little cafe tucked away from the road, in a little walking only lane with trees. Dogs welcome to join people stopping by. The corn and coriander fritters are particularly good!

Fresh Barramundi at a great price. Beautifully prepared. Nice coffee...they know how to make it with Almond milk. Feeling very healthy...and satisfied. Oh! People are friendly.

  • Peter Christoffersen

Always a favorite. Great coffee, excellent food, always good music playing, nice outdoor atmosphere away from noisy traffic and very friendly staff. Never a bad moment.

  • Zarhayda Tun

Their iced coffee is top quality, usually I don't like cafes that charge extra for ice but their $6 iced coffee came with a scoop of ice cream and 100% worth it.

  • khushveen majhail

Dog-friendly. Coffee is hit and miss. Got a flat white instead of a latte. The food is great though! Usually quite busy. There is free parking available nearby.

  • Will Bourke

OK experience, they did seem a little rushed this morning. Sons hot chocolate was spot on, my Chicken gyros wasn't the best unfortunately.

  • St Leonards

First time to eat at Laneway cafe and did not disappoint. The staff was great and the food was yummy. Going back again to have some more.
