The only reason I am not giving this place a one is because our waitress Angelica was phenomenal. The food at this chain is higher than other restaurant with similar food so this is not my issue I know they are more expensive. This is my second time visiting this particular location I prefer the one on Charlotte Pike. Let me break down my hindrance from visiting again. 1: The Honky Tonk Street Taco has the brisket and it is unseasoned compared to the meat of the steak and the chicken. 2. My steak taco did not have the mango salsa as requested the meat was well flavored. 3. The third taco which was the grilled fish was also lacking in seasoning. 4. The corn tortilla is one I get often at other Mexican restaurant and this was by far the worse, so overall I would not recommend ordering street tacos from this chain 5. After the disgust I decided to order the Taco Al Carbon, and the rice was not brought until I was nearly done with my meal. 6. Ants were crawling over the table and I initially believed my eyes were deceiving me, but they were crawling about like guests. 7. When it was brought to the manager’s attention Eva was very apologetic and explained she would refund as we had already paid, she brought me $10. Not wanting to argue we simply left because like I said they weren’t rude just unfortunate this was our experience as we were celebrating my sister’s birthday. I have visited several restaurants within this chain and this happens to be the worst of the ones I have been to. On a brighter note the margaritas were delicious but after seeing the ants I decided not to finish my second one so I basically wasted my money overall.
The food is good, the service is meh, and the environmental controls are set on Oppressive. THE FOOD: Great freshness to the vegetables and the avacado. The table salsa could use some punch. It's pretty bland. I should have asked for the better stuff immediately, but most people will like this slightly spiced tomato puree. THE SERVER had too many tables to provide decent service. We ran out of drink several times and probably spent more than 20 minutes of time waiting for a check that was asked for twice. It wasn't her fault. She was given too many tables, and she was exceptionally pleasant under the circumstances. THE ENVIRONMENTAL systems in this place do not circulate air well. We were on one of the sides, and it was BAD. Like I wasn't the only one wiping sweat from my forehead and not because of the spice. The ceiling fans were not turned on. I leaned back to the open center of the restaurant where it was easily 10 degrees cooler, and the air was circulating because the ceiling fans were turned on. Before finishing my meal, I was ready to escape the sauna. Doubtful I will be back.

The service was absolutely terrible and was probably the worst that I have ever had my whole life. I ordered fajitas with chicken and shrimp and the chicken was very bland with no flavor and the shrimp and onions and peppers were all burnt and blackened and made the whole plate taste like burnt food. The sour cream that came with my rice and refried greens looked like it was spoiled. Our server only came when we very first set down and to bring us our check when we requested it from another server at the end of our meal. Another server had to bring my fiancé a drink refill and had to bring me hot sauce and salt because my server did not come to find out if we needed anything because somebody else brought our food out to us. My drink ran out halfway through with the meal and never did get filled back up. It was the worst experience I have ever had at a restaurant. I will not ever go back to eat at that place again and recommend that nobody else does!!!!
Arrived at 1130am. Maybe a dozen guests. We were seated promptly and drinks brought. Food arrived promptly. It went down hill from there. Food was BLAND!! There were a half dozen workers standing around. One looked at his phone the whole time. Two stood at a counter and talked incessantly. No one checked on us. WE WERE COMPLETELY IGNORED!! I finally got someone's attention by yelling and they brought napkins more sauce. My wife finally got up and got take out boxes and told the lady we wanted our tab. I have NEVER been at a restaurant where the service was this HORRIBLE! We had $15 left on our gift card and threw it in the trash! Go to Cinco De Mayo. Los Palmos Hermitage deserves to close its doors

This visit was a dine in. I ordered lunch fajitas with ONLY jalapeño y chicken. I returned it the first time because I was given onions and bell peppers. The second time the plate was mostly onion and chicken. I returned it myself to the kitchen because no server came back to my table. By the third time, I returned it and asked for it off of my check because there were still traces of onion and the chicken didn't look fresh. No one had come back to the table since the second time. No refills either. I asked for a manager and they were not at the location. This was a terrible experience and I expected better from a company that I leave five stars reviews for. Unfortunate. I recommend the Charlotte Pike location for now until I find a new restaurant to share altogether.
Las Palmas has changed over the year. I have been going since the first one opened in Aug 96. I used to eat there 3 or 4 times a week. Unfortunately with the changing of time the food is not not good as it used to be. The service used to be excellent. And there prices have skyrocketed to the moon. Now the only reason I go there is for the salsa. It is a crab shoot on food and service. I am sorry Los Palmas, This is my honest opinion. This is not just this location, it is all of them, and the rivergate store is the worst I have been too.

They have changed their menu for the worse; it's more expensive and harder to understand. Our drink order was taken wrong and had to be sent back. Dinner took over an hour to arrive and there was no lettuce with my order that had always had lettuce. They don't use the formerly convenient basket of tortilla chips and separate salsa. You get some heavy piece of wood where the salsa drips down into the wood below and it only holds about a third the amount of chips as before. We had an American waitress rather than Mexican. They were short staffed in the kitchen which was only admitted to after waiting for over an hour for our food. There were no utensils on the table. It will be a cold day in hell before we go back!
This was my first time visiting Las Palmas. We went for a birthday lunch with my boyfriend's family. On the menu there is a QR code that if you scan, you get a free small cheese dip. The cheese dip was good. The salsa was really good compared to some other Mexican restaurants. For my meal, I ordered the LP Special with steak as my protein. I wasn't crazy about the steak they use, as it was a low quality, semi mushy steak, but overall, the dish was good, flavorful, and plentiful. My boyfriend ordered steak fajitas and made a similar comment about the steak. Our server, Antonio was such a doll. If I ever went back, I'd ask for him!

This restaurant is a Nashville chain, and I had so many good experiences at one of the other locations (over the years) that I keep accidentally going to this one. Sadly, I'm not as happy with this location. The food is on par with other decent Mexican restaurants, but their pricing is a tad high for the portion sizes. They've implemented a few policies that I'm not fond of also. No substitutions? What? If my combo comes with guac salad and I'd prefer definitely less expensive rice at the same cost, it should be an option. If I take my 5 year old, just he and I, and I don't even have a soft drink or beer, it shouldn't cost $39. (We did have queso, but not even any leftovers)
My dear friends and I go there periodically for dinner and the food is good and the service is usually descent but this particular day the service was EXTREMELY SLOW! They weren't that busy and there were plenty of people in the kitchen helping. We ended up being there for 2 hours. The order was wrong as well and we had to send our food back to be fixed then they tried to charge double. I don't know what happened that evening but I hope that in the future it gets better! We'll go there again, I'm sure, but pray for not that experience

I'm from San Diego, Ca where we have a ton of Mexican food, I currently live in Texas where it's mostly Tex Mex and this place Las Palmas in TN was soo good! It was nice to have some legit Mexican food so far from the border. I was honestly impressed. I am not big on chicken tortilla soup but I was cold so I ordered a cup and it is the best I have ever had. In fact I went back 2 days later and ordered a bowl of it. I love sangria's and have a couple of those as well and they were delicious. My husband had their street tacos and really enjoyed them. If you want some good Mexican food in the area, this is the place.
The staff is very nice . The only thing I can think of is sometimes the waiter or waitress doesn't hear the order correctly just make sure you ask customer one more time. But besides that food is good and the wait isn't long.

When we got there it seemed busy. However we waited for booth and the wait wasn’t long that’s the only reason and the waiter was on point. So it was a devastating situation when my moms fajitas came out Luke warm and with bell pepper which wouldn’t be a problem only she order her fajitas without bell peppers. Or my boyfriend’s burrito came out with less than normal beans and also Luke warm. Then my plate which was Las palmas nachos the cheese looked plastic. Which isn’t normal for us because Mexican food is a favorite of mine. I have never seen plastic looking cheese. I am so done with them.
I placed an online order and paid $50 including a generous tip, and when we showed up to pick it up the restaurant was closed despite their online listing saying they are open and the website telling us to be there at that time to get our food. When I spoke with manager, Yovanni, two hours later to get my money back he laughed and said it's my fault but luckily he's hungry and will be happily eating my food. He then proceeded to yell at me as I requested to know when I would be getting my money back and hung up on me when I asked for an apology. When I called back, he repeated all this again.
Some of the best Mexican food and the greatest service I’ve ever had from most any restaurant. I’ve heard it from certain authorities that their salsa can cure cancer. I eat here about once a week. Ask for a table with Ruby - absolutely brilliant server, attends to every single need you have a few you didn’t even know. Soooo fast and soooo fresh. I guarantee you go at lunch, and barely 5 minutes will elapse between ordering and receiving your food. Manager is extremely nice! Great atmosphere. Reasonably priced. Wonderful experience. A definite must if you’re in the Hermitage area.
I have been here twice and each time the food has been underwhelming. I have heard great reviews from the locals, but I must be missing something. I didn’t write my review after my first visit in hopes that the second would be better, but I think this place may need better cooks? The service is phenomenal each time that I can attest to. Unfortunately, the food is extremely bland and lacks flavor. The portion is decent and worth it for the price, but I don’t want a full plate mixed with food that fills but doesn’t satisfy. Once they get that part right, this place will be perfect.
We have eaten here for years. Love the food and the restaurant itself. It’s large and spacious with skylights in the center. The tortillla chips are light and crispy, remind me of Chuy’s (which is one of my fave’s!). The salsa was excellent and we ordered queso which was also delicious. We both ordered street tacos and they were awesome. I ordered a side of refried beans and I believe those are the best I have ever had at a restaurant. Great flavor, not too thin, perfect consistency, and still tasted like beans. Our meal was excellent and we will return soon!
As usual the food was served piping hot and was delicious. The service is outstanding and the prices are reasonable. Plenty of free parking. Easy in and out at three separate traffic lights.

I would encourage everyone to check their orders whether curbside or pickup in person. Most recent experience, they got the order wrong, I had to go back but this not why I rated the experience low..Never got an apology for the inconvenience...also this was third time this happed even when I picked up my order in person and checked, it, it was wrong...no apology then either. I won't spend my money with them again. Not sure what their deal is, but they lost a customer.

Search my chips and salsa big huge chunks of tomato. The girl that served me was extremely rude. Did not offer any napkins. Then when I complained all they could say was I'm sorry. They wanted to play the victim because I got mad. Lectured me on how how to treat people decently. Well apparently you don't treat your customers with decency. You serve me chips and salsa that ain't worth eating The food came out cold. And all you could do was say I'm sorry but you sure did not mind taking my money. Place was dirty. Had a bad odor. I won't be back
Great food and family friendly atmosphere... always a good time! We have been ordering ToGo food a lot more since Covid and they are usually GREAT with getting everything right ! ( My family always has "SPECIAL" instructions on everything so it's nice when a restaurant takes the time to do it right the first time)

With 9 locations in the Nashville MSA, its my FAV mexican restaurant in the Hermitage - Mt. Juliet area. I think their slow-cooked shredded chicken is the best in town. Super moist and flavorful. Consistent and affordable menu items. Lunch specials 7 days/week under $9 (lunch fajitas $10.79) are satisfying. To add, the wait staff is always friendly. Open for close to 30 years and voted the Nashville Scene Readers' Poll Best Mexican Restaurant for 2015, 2016, 2017, and 2018 should tell you something. Pls like if this was helpful.
Food was alright but not my favorite. They also got our order wrong at first since I asked for shrimp (but got steak). They fixed it immediately without a hassle so I was content. I don’t think some of the items had enough seasoning. The shrimp on the fajitas were cooked well. For the price, I expected a little more, but the service was great and made up for it. I may come back to give them another chance :)

This place was a train wreck. The wait was over 45 minutes, not the 5-15 quoted. The wait staff was rude, arrogant, and rarely checking tables. It's fine to not write down orders, but don't deliver the wrong food. What worse is that we asked for silverware 45 minutes ago and were still waiting for that when you brought us the wrong food. On top of all that the food was very minamal and cheap quality. Highly over priced compared to the quality. Bad food, bad service, even poorer management. Avoid avoid avoid
Excellent service, quick to get food. The food was fantastic and filling. Good amount for the price and wonderfully prepared. The place was clean and well lit. The service friendly and fast. It was an early mid week dinner with many other patrons but the service did not lack because of the amount of people. I'll definatly come back.

Absolutely beautiful restaurant! But they are very busy. Maybe too busy for good service. Our meal took 50minutes and the kids nuggets and fries were cold. Not warm, cold. Quesabirrias were ok.. they put a weird sauce on them that was weird to me because I'm used to traditional quesabirrias, so it wasn't as authentic as I hoped. Margarita was very weak. I didn't feel or taste alcohol. Only drink mixer and it didn't have orange juice or orange liquor... Blah.. bad experience. Maybe we came on a bad night
Las Palmas is a great dining experience! The food is wonderful, and I really enjoy the bright, colorful, open, airy atmosphere! It really is laid out very nicely, with sort of an open "piazza" in the middle/central area of the restaurant, where the sun can shine down upon you during the daytime :) Also of course it has big screen T.V.s, which really don't make or break it for me, unless they're unusually loud or obnoxious. Theirs weren't! :) Also the staff were friendly:) Highly recommend! :)
A little disappointing Hostess tried to seat us back in a far corner, but we asked to move to the patio. Food was decent, though not impressive. Good service. Patio had good ambiance. Quite busy, so maybe I just ordered the wrong entree.

Don't waste your money. The food is dry if you get all you order. waiter cannot speak English Therefore your order is not right and they want to argue about what u ordered. When you ask for the manager he waits till they give you the bill then he comes from behind the column to the table, saying you should have asked for him and you are just trying to get free food so pay the bill. Very rude, disrespectful manager and employees. $60.00 in food going to the dogs.

I come here with my family often, probably once a month. Occasionally I have had slow service. But the service has never been rude or bad enough to make me want to leave. The food is always good. Not the best Mexican I've ever had, but good food at a good price for the right amount. My kids, 7 and 9, always enjoy it and they have lots of drink options. Including a good cold bottle of beer and a frosty mug if desired. A good value place with good food.
Great spot for a quick lunch. Seating was prompt as well as service and meal drop off. Server was kind and did all the right things one comes to expect from a quality dining experience. Highly recommend!

Don’t waste your time or money. Food was terrible and service was the worst I’ve ever had anywhere. Manager said we were only wanting free food and should have said something sooner but couldn’t say anything because the waiter never came back to our table. We paid the bill but as we were leaving a waitress was saying that we had no money to pay. I will never be back and I’ll tell everyone I run into how horrible the whole experience was.
Waiter wasn't so great but other than that, everything was on point. Had the birria tacos for the first time and they were delicious. If you've never had them, they are a must try. Very nice atmosphere, clean, and quiet. You can hear your own conversation. Will be back for sure.

Pretty descent Mexican food. I usually tend to go here for lunch and get the chimichanga lunch special. The wait staff have always been friendly and the restaurant seems clean and well kept. On occasion my beef will be a little lower quality and i will get a few chewy chunks, but it's usually tender and well seasoned. I would definitely recommend trying this place. I can't speak for some of the other locations, just this one.
The food and service were absolutely great! The atmosphere was absolutely horrific! I felt like I was in a high school cafeteria, which I never even ate in while in high school. I couldn't even hear my friend speaking across the table from me, it was so loud!

When in town visiting my aunt and uncle, this is our favorite place to eat. They have fast service, always hot food, and great drinks! Most of the time my food of choice is not on the menu, but they will make it for me because I'm a little bit of a picky eater, so I really appreciate them going above and beyond by doing so. Highly recommend you check out this place and enjoy their great desserts as well!
My son ordered a Cheese Dip. It was the smallest one I have ever seen at a normal price of a big one , and I'm hitting on 60. Salsa was awesome. We both got half-price Taco Tuesday. I tried one of each. I will only order the Chicken tacos next time. I don't like cilantro. Service & Atmosphere was awesome, but I come for the food.

If you have celiac disease I definitely recommend the fajitas. DON'T EAT THE CHIPS. THEY ARE FRIED IN THE SAME OIL AS THE FLOUR TORTILLAS.
We went for lunch on a Wednesday, they were not busy but the service was slow. I had the shrimp fajitas and it was good, the shrimp were cooked perfectly! I just wish they would have been more attentive to our needs. We didn't even get refills on our water and they never offered my granddaughter crayons and an activity sheet, I'm glad she is patient and well behaved. Undecided about ever going back.
overall cleanliness is good. waitress was awesome. chips and salsa were good. the menu is the worst worded and least appealing of any menu i have ordered from. pick a protein for your meal sounds like something from chemistry class not a dining experience. the meals were lack luster with little to no taste for the fajitas. the enchilads were average. did not find value for my $ this time.
All was good with the exception of pricing. Prices went up across-the-board as a result of covid, supply chain issues, labor etc. but they haven't adjusted back down as they should.

I've lived in Hermitage for over 3 years and I just visited this location for the first time. Randomly saw a Facebook add thay they have half off tacos on Tuesday and their happy hour last til 8p. Went there that night. Got a free cheese dip (with coupon) and the margaritas were tasty! I spend 25 bucks for my bf and I to eat and drink! We will definitely be back!
I ordered the veggie mushroom fajitas with double Mexican rice and this is what I got. There’s barely any food in there, literally 5 mushrooms and definitely not double rice. They were so busy inside that I couldn’t even get the attention of a worker so I just went home where the amount of food was worse than I expected. Definitely not worth the $12 I paid.
If there’s a problem with your order they will fix it. They have great customer service. The Black Friday gift card sale is always a super good deal. I’ve been coming with my family for many years. We like the recipes/flavors here and it’s about time I fix my review back to its proper status of 5 stars.

There are so many good Mexican restaurants in Hermitage such as west coast taco, los habanero, los tres amigos, and toro loco… don’t go here. The food is meh and the service is beyond subpar- yes you Raquel! Servers are SO slow and rude. They never check on you and it takes 45 minutes to get 2 tacos when they aren’t even busy…. Don’t waste your time here.
Service was unacceptable. Manager needs to learn how to handle big group. Too many mistakes from non veg dish while ordered fully veg. Forget to bring items and reminded more than once. Charged for dinner while served amount of food like lunch. I will not dine there again.

I loved the food here and the margarita thing I got was amazing!!! I dare say that fajita shrimp this g was the best one I've had in a while. The fact that the inside of this place feels like a small piece of mexico is so warm and welcoming to all. I also love the fact they have various top shelf bottles on display "behind bars" so uniquely done!
This place used to be great. It seems like they are cutting costs hard. The beans taste like they had water added to them to extend them. Rice is flavorless. We got the fajita, and they were good. Extra tortillas cost 1.50. We asked for two tacos which are 2 something on the menu, ended up costing 4.20 each somehow. Won't come back. Good luck!
Really good food and service. The server always made sure our drinks were full and everything was good. Great Mexican restaurant to eat at. Only reason it's not 5 stars (which is not their fault). The parking situation sucks always jammed and hard to get out of. Other than that, it's one of the better Mexican restaurants I have ate at.
Not gonna lie, they mess up my order every other time we order takeout there but man the food is so good I just don't care! Also the staff is always super kind even when they get stuff wrong so it's all good. LP Special is just a perfect meal and the chips and salsa are excellent.

I really enjoyed my meal and experience at Las Palmas. The server was very helpful and quick even when ordering for a toddler. He brought out a booster and some snacking tortillas for our little one before out meal was ready. All of our food was very good and all of us were happy with our purchase.
I absolutely love this restaurant! As a native Texan, I’m a little more picky with Mexican food. This place is great! Amazing salsa, queso, and best of all, service. Be sure to ask for Angelica or Emmanuel. I highly recommend this place. Get the Burrito Bandera and add cojita cheese on top.
Service was great. Food was delicious. Chips were a little hard and needed salt. Grande burrito fajita bowl had tons of shrimp cooked perfectly. The mushroom enchilada was a little runny but still had good taste.

The food my family has tried here has been delicious and affordable the two times we've visited. The service was great our first time, but not very good the second time. The interior of the building is gorgeous.

Not impressed. Food was very mediocre. Restaurant was nice and bright inside, service was good, food just gets a low grade. Guacamole was from a bag which was a huge disappointment, ground beef and sauces were not good. Salsa was mediocre. Just nothing to get excited about here.
Great food and service. Very clean and nice on the inside as well. Staff are all friendly and attentive.

Great place for Mexican food, I tried the tortilla soup; fantastic! My wife tried the LP Special and loved it also. We had a group of 9 and were seated promptly. The service was friendly and prompt. The resturant aptmosphere was pleasant and very clean. We'll be back!
The food was amazing the quantity was really awesome the atmosphere was festive welcoming and fun the employees are very respectful and professional and they make pretty darn good margaritas I absolutely would say this should be one stop for everybody lunch or dinner

Great food and excellent service. Not crazy about the flat planks of wood. They serve their chips on, but everything was great.

Awesome food, wish they could put more attention when doing refills, i was left with a dry cup for 10 minutes and had to finish my food without a drink, but overall it's really good

The food was really good but was very underwhelmed by the margarita pitcher's strength. It was very little tequila and mostly mango juice and also $30 which is super overpriced for a pitcher in my opinion. Service was okay and the decoration is fine.
Went twice this past week, both times were wonderful... the food & service were excellent. Haven't been here in probably 9 years and I have no clue why... they do have some of the best, authentic Mexican food in our area. We will be back again soon.
The food was great, and the service is always fast

Jesus was a great server. He handled our table with such great integrity. He was very responsive to our needs. We love his spirit. The food was delicious. Authentic to the tee. The next time I'm passing through this will be my place to dine in
This is my new favorite Mexican restaurant! I went two days in a row and had fish tacos (has great flavor the other lady is wrong), both times it was awesome! Their salsa is perfect and the servers are great! I will be going back for more!
Had a big party so service was a little slow. But food was great.

Haven't been here in a very long time. Alot choices in our area for Mexican food. This is a nice place. Food was hot, fresh and delicious. Atmosphere is good and staff is friendly. I will definitely go again. The fajitas are awesome!
Beans were not seasoned with salt. Very bland. Chef needs to realize this and not rely on customers to do it. Please add a spoon so one may use it with the salsa. A beautiful restaurant, good service and great strawberry margaritas!
The food was Amazing and the waitress Vanessa was equally great

Was an alright restaurant, food was a little undercooked, didn't get the order right, and the chips are cheap tasting. Friendly atmosphere, food did taste good and came out hot. Overall pretty good, but don't know if I'll return.
Love this place! I have been to a number of Las Palmas locations (all fantastic), but the Hermitage location is my personal favorite! Tito is an amazing person and will treat you like family! I would give 100 stars if I could.
Huge fan of this place! The food was great and the staff was very attentive. Definitely recommend a visit to Las Palmas. My favorite spot for Fajitas and Margaritas!

Don’t go anywhere else for Mexican food. The food is always great, served hot (even the takeout). Fajitas for one actually make a meal for two. Quick courtesy service, plenty of parking and reasonable prices.
My girlfriend and I come here at least once a week and our waitress Layne is the best! Very attentive and on top of things.

The salsa was cold and very flavorful, chips were fresh. Had the beef enchiladas with rice and beans and it was EXCELLENT. The corn tortillas and seasoned beef made the meal.
Really good Mexican place! Ordered takeout. Steak chimichangas did not disappoint! And you can get PINT'S of queso, soooo good! Good service, food was ready in 15 minutes.
