I visited this shop for the first time yesterday (5/9/19) and I'm very very pleased to have found such a gem! The owner is very passionate about the hobby and is a wealth of knowledge. Got chatting and had a really good conversation. Came away with 3 new coral additions for my tank. Reasonably priced and the quality far exceeds that of chains and similar privately run shops. Will be visiting here anytime I need something. The care and attention to detail that goes into the running of the shop is phenomenal. It really makes a difference when you are not motivated by financial gain, but genuinely care for the welfare of all the stock and care greatly about the hobby. Highly recommend Leicester Aquatics to anyone.

Amazing service, soo much great help and support from Sarah and from a gentleman there. I had brought fish's from pets at home but wasn't satisfied with the service over there that I had got as they didn't k OW what they were doing or what they were talking about, one of the fish that I brought of them had suddenly got ill and they didn't even know it was ill and gave wrong advice about using one of the products that they had given me mislead information about how to work the product that could of dangered the fish's. After speaking to Ashley and for her helping me I feel so relieved and had also brought home new fish from there.

Absolutely lovely manager! Needed a certain light bulb for marine tank and he's the only one that had it and that he would save it for us. Should of taken us an hour to get to the shop but because of traffic took us a lot longer. I rang and told him we were coming and he said he'd wait for us. We arrived 15minutes after closing time and he was waiting for us. Absolutely lovely & genuine person. Thank you so much!

2 assistants didnt really have a clue about what they were actually selling. Asked if they sold sps corals and they said we have plenty. Only to find the smallest piece of montipora in a scruffy tank. The tanks could do with a little TLC and the coral stock needs addressing. Some of the fish stock had seen better days to. Marine dry goods selection not great either.Ticked off the shops to visit wont be returning.

Wonderful, experience. Staff and owner are very friendly, full of advise and knowledge regarding ponds, aquariums, all types of fish(cold water),plants, ornaments, etc. They are very good at recommending, aquarium technicians and will try and help u out, anyway they can. My local, aquarium shop, I have been going there for all my requirements for my aquariums, for the last 30 years. Most recommended.

Our friend recommended this shop to us as during the lockdown we couldn’t acquire any of the items we needed for our fish. After our first visit today we will be making this our new regular. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly also the prices were very good. Had the best advice on looking after our fish. Would recommend this place to anyone and will certainly be returning.

Visited Leicester Aquatics today for the first time, having been new to the hobby of Aquatics I had alot of questions. The staff were very helpful and offered advise and care tips for a novice, also interacted with my young daughter which made the experience enjoyable for her I'll be back in 5 weeks for more fish. …

The staff are helpful and friendly. They are very knowledgeable and will talk through any concerns you have with fish keeping, they will then recommend the best product(s). They have a great variety of equipment, fish, plants and treatments for the enthusiastic hobbyist. I did find the fish to be very expensive though.

Really friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. They have a very large selection to choose from, the shop is much bigger than it looks from the outside. They have helped us buy our first tank and guided us through set up, cleaning, adding fish etc perfectly. Cannot recommend enough.

Good shop, good choice of supplies and great choice of fish. Most staff seem fairly knowledgeable on most things related to the hobby. Every fish I've had has been clean and disease free, can't ask for anything else. I've had quite a few from them from pond fish to tropical

Best selection of fish in the area by a mile. Good, old-school style shop that, judging by the quality of their livestock, know how to look after all things aquatic. They have also increased their selection of plants recently, which would have been my only complaint before.

I have used this Aquatic shop on several occasions. The staff are helpful and friendly. The fish are always in a good condition, not overcrowded. They have a good selection of fish and an excellent range of fish tank accessories. I would recommend a visit to this shop.

Been buying marine fish of all kinds here for years, never had any issues! Never sell you something you shouldn't have with your setup or other fish, also sorted me out when I set up a new tank without doing nitrate cycles, no fish lost, no need to go anywhere else!

Really helpful, we were buying two small fish but the lads took a lot of time to help me with media choices and the. Ideal set up for my new 6ft tank. I learned more and the service was above and beyond, by far the best I have experienced in Leicester. Thanks

Great selection, and they seem to be really upping their game and investing in quality livestock tanks recently. Charlie was by far the most helpful staff member when I went in. Really knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and genuinely happy to talk fish.

Great place for those who are intrested in aquatics, with a very wide range of fish from tropical to cold water varieties. Here they also sell coral and all you will need to keep your fish happy. The staff here are very informative and helpful.

Massive shop with lots of fish, for fresh water, ponds and salt water. They also have shrimps and snails. Good selection of plants and corals too. They supply fish tanks, replacement parts and all the chemicals that you might need.

Absolutely fantastic shop with very friendly and knowledgeable staff. I have bought all of my fish and shrimp from here and haven't lost a single one in over half a years worth of fish keeping - I wouldn't go anywhere else.

This is where I go to get R.O. Water for my carnivorous plants. £2 for 25ltrs. Very reasonable. Knowledgeable, friendly staff. A great selection of aquatic products and fish. Definitely worth a visit.

Best shop for fish in the area. The knowledge of the staff is second to none and they never rush you or make you feel like you need to overspend. I would recommend this to all aquiriers in the area.

Nice friendly and welcoming staff who also spent time explaining some things about looking after Malawi to my 2 year old son. Good measures in place around covid too so a great experience overall.
