Hallo, ich bin seit einigen Monaten Arbeitnehmer an dieser Schule und habe die hier stehenden Bewertungen/Kommentare gelesen. Auch deswegen will ich ein paar Sachverhalte, die ich beurteilen kann, richtig darstellen und eine Rezension schreiben: Die Leipzig International School (kurz LIS) ist eine Englisch sprachige staatlich anerkannte Ersatzschule, rechtlich gesehen eine gemeinnützige GmbH, bestehend aus einer Grundschule (Klasse 1-5) und einem Gymnasium (Klasse 6-12). Schüler werden hier für das internationale Abitur, das International Baccalaureate Diploma, ausgebildet. Das int. Abitur wird gegen eine Bearbeitungsgebühr beim sächsischen Ministerium für Kultus problemlos als dt. Abitur mit entspr. Numerus Clausus anerkannt. Auf dem Weg dorthin absolvieren die Schüler den internationalen 10. Klasse Abschluss: das International General Certificate of Secondary Education. Der Unterricht richtet sich aber ausschließlich nach dem Standard des Gymnasiallevels. Statistisch gesehen schneidet die Schule im internationalen Vergleich der Abschlussergebnisse überdurchschnittlich ab. Die Abiturergebnisse der Schüler sind definitiv sehr gut (das kann ich bis einschl. 2020 beurteilen). Selbstverständlich bieten sowohl die Räumlichkeiten, die technische Ausstattung, kleinere Klassen, zusätzliche Stellen in der Schülerunterstützung und die internationale Lehrerschaft sehr besondere und einzigartige Bedingungen, dies als ein paar Gründe für den Ausbildungserfolg. Wie in jeder Schule gibt es auch hier Herausforderungen bei der Begleitung der Kinder und Jugendlichen. Wer an dieser Stelle aber Kommentare liest, deren Sachlichkeit zu hinterfragen ist, sollte beim Ansprechpartner für die Aufnahme von Schülern ("Admission")nachfragen und sich lieber selbst ein Bild machen. Diese Schule ist aus meiner Sicht eine große Bereicherung.

Ich lese gerade durch Zufall die Google-Bewertungen unserer Schule und bin erschüttert. Unsere beiden Kinder sind bereits seit 11 Jahren in der LIK/LIS und ich kann nur Bestes berichten. Die LIS ist eine Schule, in der die Kinder und ihre Individualität immer im Vordergrund stehen. Die Lehrerschaft ist nicht nur qualifiziert, sondern auch hochmotiviert. Das Verhältnis Lehrer/Schüler/Schule wird jeden Tag gelebt. Mobbing und Ausgrenzung ist hier sehr, sehr rar und wird vehement durch die Schüler (!) und Schulleitung erfolgreich abgestellt. Wer hier ätzende und negative Kommentae postet, der kann die Schule nicht kennen. Wer Interesse an einer offenen und wirklichen Ausbldung seiner Kinder hat, der ist auf der LIS richtig. Weiter so Team LIK/LIS!

No ramen on roof.. only ramen available is the cold ramen on the hallway floor. very bad quality.. should look into getting high quality standard ramen plz Because of bad quali ramen i have to steal leaves from the biology class to eat, very bad and dusty also sadly. The copper sulfate from chemistry lab helps to give it a good downer, good quality copper sulfate..PROPS! The toilet paper likes to be scratchy and stays stuck you know where so i use either leaves from bio or the cold ramen, very cold tbh though. cooling efect good sometimes though. Helps me speak native speaker academic level

My daughter Alina Salim LOVE this school – from the teachers to the students to the challenging curriculum. LIS integrates compassion into their teaching standards, emphasizes the importance of values, and builds leaders through each of their classes and lessons.The administration is open minded and think outside the box to make LIS a successful educational experience for the students. LIS is committed to the whole child. They teach value lessons, communication and leadership skills. In short LIS Education has been a very positive experience for our family.

This school is really nothing special. They think they are all high and mighty with their "citizen of the world" bs. Its just an average school with teachers that care more about academic achievement than the wellbeing of students. I wish I could say the management was trying their hardest to fix anything but the secondary school is just a bunch of illiterate adults running around portraying themselves as extremely intelligent while they can't even make a decent looking PowerPoint. Don't send your kid to this school if you value creative thinking.

I know 2 educators and someone who sends their kids there, from what I hear, they are unhappy, especially with a number of educators there. It seems suggestions from parents are not taken seriously at all. A lot of favouritism goes on in this school...Communication is close to none. Kids sit around and positive and super fun interaction between kids and educators is a wishful thought. If your child doesn't fit their agenda, the child is labeled psychologically underdeveloped or sick.

The most disrespectful staff. I had an appointment to meet with the principal and head of department, not only they arrived and hour and a half late but also they had the worst attitude and displeasing way of treating me. I cannot express enough how uncomfortable and unwelcome they made me feel. Very disappointed to see how good institutions are brought down by people like these two. I would seriously NOT recommend this school to anyone

Thank you LIS ! We are so pleased with how our daughter has progressed .Alina is very happy learning in this great International institute.Very good teachers and management. Alina has learnt a lot of great things in LIS. We had a lot of experience in various schooling system around the globe, However LIS is really one of the BEST indeed .

My child attended this school for a year and has never encountered such a regressive education system from "an international" school. The school is plagued with troubled individuals and the teachers are narrow-minded and do not encourage personal growth. Would recommend anyone moving to Leipzig to look elsewhere.

Meine Tochter hat in der 2. Klasse zu LIS gewechselt und sprach schon in zwei Jahren auf dem akademischen Level Englisch auf dem Nativ - Speaker -Level! Es ist unglaublich, wie gerne mein Kind in die Schule geht! Ich empfehle die Schule gerne weiter!

Unsere Tochter besucht die Schule seit Jahren. Ich kann die Einrichtung nur empfehlen. Ein wunderbares Umfeld und Werte mit denen sie dort aufwächst, werde ich immer wieder wählen. Danke für die Tolle Betreuung.

Macht auch nach einem Jahr einen sehr guten Eindruck. Und nun nach 2 Jahren ist dem auch nichts hinzuzufügen, wir haben es keinen Tag bereut. Das soll selten sein, was Schulen angeht...

Three children at LIS, who moved from a village school in Ireland to here... they love it and I am very grateful to all the staff who have contributed to their holistic education.

After moving school 5 times, this has been my favorite school by far. I have really been able to learn and flourish with kind and helpful teachers and staff.

Bring back the ramen shop... Life was so much better before the ramen shop shut down and the schools soggy disgusting ramen was served.

Very rigid, inflexible school. You must be a round peg for a round hole in order to meet their preconceptions of a good student.
