I’ve been here a bunch of times and it’s generally been good. But the last two times I was here my experiences were bad enough to make me want to write a review. The previous time I was here(a few weeks ago), I asked the waitress what they had on tap and she angrily said to scan the QR code to look at the drink list. I did just that and selected my drink of choice only to have her come back a few minutes later telling me in an angry tone that my drink was no longer available and the most up to date list is actually on the board and not on the website as she originally suggested. The rest of the evening was not much different. I come in tonight and sat on the side of the bar because the front was taken. Given my previous experience, I don’t bother scanning the QR code, but the board is far and it’s dark so I can’t see the drink list well. When the bartender asks me what I want I tell her that I can’t see the drink list on the board because it’s too far so I ask her what’s on tap. What she said next was very rude (I felt) and made me angry. She said “well you can just get up and walk to the front to look at what we have”. To use an analogy, if a restaurant doesn’t keep their menu current and lists what they have on a board that’s too far for you to see and you ask the waitress to tell you what’s on the menu tonight and she says “why don’t you go into the kitchen and figure it out for yourself” I think you’d be angry as well. So yeah, that wasn’t cool. But then a group of people walk in and they ask for nine of them to be seated, the same bartender angrily says to the waitress “where are we going to put them all?!” How about anywhere!!! It is Sunday night around 8:30 pm, the place is %25 full at best. It’s not a question of where you can seat them, because the answer is anywhere. It’s a question of whether you want to do your job and serve them. It’s sad because the place has potential, but unless the attitude of the staff changes, I don’t want to go back. Edit: Response to Brad. I was not sitting at the front of the bar where I would be able to see clearly everything that was on tap, I was sitting on the side that when I looked at the taps they were lined up in a single file and I couldn't seen what it said on them. I'm attaching a diagram and I'd love it if you could explain to me how the bar tender thought I could see all the taps from where I was sitting. As for the group of nine... She said that as soon as they came in. I don't know what happened next, if someone was underage or not, but it was clear that she wasn't happy to see them as soon as they walked in. Look, I get it, their job is not easy. They work hard and often deal with less than pleasant people. We all have bad days, were human. However, the last two times I was here your staff took their anger out on me. I didn't do anything to them and I don't appreciate being treated that way. As for you, instead of taking responsibility for how your staff treats your customers, you decided to tell me how I was wrong. So I wish you luck because if your staff keeps treating customers this way, you're going to need it in order to keep the business open.

I recently visited a Leo's Transcona that left a lasting impression on me, and I couldn't wait to share my experience with others. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by a friendly host who provided us with an accurate wait time for a table. The wait was not too long, and we were soon seated in a cozy booth. The customer service was exceptional from start to finish. Our server was attentive, friendly, and had excellent knowledge of the menu. They were quick to answer our questions and offer recommendations based on our preferences. The server even checked back with us multiple times to ensure that we were enjoying our meal and had everything we needed. Speaking of the menu, the options were plentiful and diverse. There was something for everyone, from vegetarian options to hearty meat dishes. The menu was well-organized and easy to navigate, with clear descriptions of each dish. Our meals were beautifully presented and tasted even better than they looked. When it came time to pay the bill, we were pleasantly surprised by the reasonable cost. The portions were generous, and the quality of the food justified the price. We left feeling satisfied and without any feeling of overpayment. Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant for its prompt seating, exceptional customer service, knowledgeable servers, diverse menu options, and reasonable pricing. It's clear that the staff takes great pride in their work, and it shows in every aspect of the dining experience. I'm already looking forward to my next visit. Please turn down the music next time. A little too loud.

One of the standout aspects of Anna's service was how quickly she prepared our drinks. Disappointing meal and service . Visited on a Sunday at 5pm , was not busy . We ordered drinks , a meal and appetizer . We were served our appetizer , with no napkins , plates or cutlery . We had to get up and ask another sever for these items . Once our meal finally came , the plates were all hot from sitting under a heat rack . My Cesar salad was warm and mushy . Club sandwich was dry , and hand no mayo on it , had to ask for some to put on it . The hamburger was made from a frozen steakette. Fries were not fresh , just heat racked . Not worth the price they are charging. The server never asked if we wanted more drinks , but she asked other people around us . We had to ask for more water, and came 10 minutes after asking . We had to ask another server for the bill and take out containers . I could understand if it was busy , but it was not and we could see our server was just standing at the bar . Would not recommend dinning there for the price, quality and service .Very disappointing . For spending $100 on three meals and two non alcoholic drinks . Might be a good place to just have a drink .

Servers are all trash and mannerless. Listen brad, your servers at this restaurant harassed me when I was at the store. They think they can do whatever they want. And if you’re a professional, claim to be managing this place, and respect the people bring business to your restaurant and pays for the paycheques ur mannerless servers get should tell them every single person that walks into that business should be respected. Not only the one that they serve inside the restaurant also the ones that orders take out. And if you fail to do so you don’t deserve the business from the people of Transcona community. And the place looks unorganized and does not look like run by professionals. Long way to go… No matter how much you want to defend trashy behaviour of ur servers, you can’t ignore the fact that the place Looks like a circus run by clowns.

I had an incredibly disappointing experience at this establishment and would rate it one star if possible. My boyfriend and I were out with friends, enjoying drinks, and spending a considerable amount when we encountered rude and inattentive bar staff. To add insult to injury, a bartender actually approached us and informed us that my boyfriend was no longer allowed to be served because he had not left a tip. We weren't even able to order water and were made to feel incredibly unwelcome despite the fact that we had already spent over $200. We had every intention of tipping generously before we left, but unfortunately after hearing this we decided we wouldn’t. Our friend attempted to buy a drink and the bartender replied “only you’re allowed”. The lack of professionalism and hospitality we received is unacceptable and we will not be returning to this location again.

The food was GREAT and was super pleased they were able to accommodate my request. Front of house however, while friendly was kinda “spacey”… no one came to greet/seat us, so we sat ourselves, took quite a while for someone (Trinity?) to come take our order and when it was time to go I went up to pay and was told she would come to our table. I then watched her literally wander around/go around in circles until I got up again to pay. As for atmosphere, cool as always, but floors were visibly dirty. After watching staff walk over a receipt multiple times, I finally picked it up and threw it out in the garbage that was right there (in front of the waitress)… and no the waitress didn’t say thanks or anything.

I’ve been here many times, in person the food is good, the servers are awesome at this location and the atmosphere is great. I ordered from Uber and spent $70, the food was freezing cold and packaged very messily. The food tasted as if it was sitting out for an hour before getting here though the restaurant is 3 mins away. Won’t make that mistake again. Updated* Leopold's has contacted me and rectified the issue we had, the complaint was handled quickly and professionally. I understand that the issue may very well have been an Uber issue as opposed to the restaurant's fault and we will definitely be back.

We walked in around 6:00 PM and were told to sit anywhere so we did (booth). It wasn’t that busy as there were a few tables empty. We waited probably 20 ish minutes and no server came to ask us for drinks or even greet us. I saw them even drop off food for a table near us, but no one came to acknowledge us other than telling us to sit down. We eventually got frustrated and left as waiting that long without any service is pretty bad. I noticed that this scenario happens a few times in previous one star reviews. It’s quite disappointing as I had the poutine delivered before and it was good. But if the service can’t even get us food in the first place (or anything), then it’s a one star for me.

I had ordered online for the poutine of the week (which is always fabulous) I arrived just a minute after the pick up time. But there was nobody at the front or anywhere to be seen in the restaurant, just a bunch of people sitting at the bar. I waited around because I wanted to let whoever was working know that I had picked up my food, but after about 5 minutes I didn't want to wait for my food to be cold. Maybe I just caught them at a bad time, and they were going to the bathroom, but it was really easy for me to just take the food and walk. Maybe the food should be held somewhere else so that random people can't take it?

First time at this location and was not very busy for a Friday lunch. Restaurant looked great the way it was set up and service was good and friendly. As for the food this is where it needs improving as It was very disappointing and if I was not with my daughter I would have sent it back and walked out. Ordered the BLT and fries with the bread/toast so hard and dry it broke into pieces while trying to eat it and those skinny fries were warm not hot but so hard and dry I couldn't eat them. Toast and fries should not be hard nor should be hard to get it right. And as for the cost $$$ definitely will not be back for what we paid for. Too bad as it is really nice inside.

Terrible service. Food was ice cold we asked that it be zapped she agreed and the food was came out cold again we asked to be zapped a second time. Waitress promised a redo. She never came back. She was visiting friends. We were without food or a drink for 10 min so we left and paid for the 1st 2 drinks. She came out and gave our food to her friends. I guess we are too old for this place. They offered free fried pickles next time we drop in. They can't fry a potato I'm not trying the pickles. Do not bother dropping by after the theater for a drink and appy as they only serve the under 30 crowd. Very disappointing...

I came in Tuesday night around 11pm with a group of 5 people celebrating our friends birthday. The food came out fast however, my friends fish was burnt and our server reanne did nothing about it. We had to wave her down to bring this to her attention and to even get refills on our water. The service was lacking, the attitude was bad and then when it came to the bill without our knowledge out server went and added a 20% tip to the bill without informing us. I work in the restaurant industry myself and would never treat a table in this manner We were told we were unable to leave without paying the tip she added for herself. She told us that she didn't think we would tip her accordingly.

My new go to place for a burger! We had ordered the burger of the month and the juke burger. Found the burger on the Burger of the month on the small side. It was flavorful but small compared to the juke burger. The flavor on the juke burger was beefy, smokey so tasty. The bun however was a little on the dry side even though there was caramelized onions. I will be ordering it again.

We usually order from skip, and their food never disappoints, although I usually get the cheeseburger pouting, But I HIGHLY recommend going in for the best experience . Our waitress reanne was top friggen notch amazing . Made us feel welcome , and very personable . She had some good recommendations. I had thr baha tacos and wow . Just wow. Best tacos I've ever had . That sauce ❤️ amazing . I'd go back for those . I'm a Cesar fan, and their Leo's cease was dill-licious !! Thank you Leopolds !! So tasty and great service ^_^ Price wasn't bad either. I can safely say I'll be going here more often . ....I'll be dreaming about those tacos for days to come

Hey just a heads up, you guys are showing up on the skip the dishes app, but there are no menu items to order at this time. I posted a picture of what I see. Edit: I have since ordered, using the skip app. Amazing food. I highly recommend the Buffalo chicken chop salad and curly fries. So good. Amazing service! Good came fresh and hot and accurate. Thanks guys, I will be back. Edit: dec 19/2023 - tonight I ordered lemon pepper wings...I was hesitant about it for some reason and when they arrived I got naked wings, no seasoning. Didn't taste like anything, no sprinkles or seasoning whatsoever. I'm disappointed.

The service was good. Our server was nice and friendly. I ordered a Crispy BBQ rancher poutine, the one with honey BBQ sauce. Order was placed during lunch time, it was busier then expected, which is great for the busy. But food took awhile to come out. Once out, my poutine was delicious!!! My friend ordered the buffalo chicken ranch poutine and didn’t enjoy it because it was way too vinegary. My poutine pick of Honey BBQ was definitely much better than theirs. They didn’t want to finish their poutine because of that. Overall good atmosphere, and would go back for the poutine I had, not the other one.

Terrible experience. The waitress didn’t seem to like her job. She never introduced herself, in a flat your annoying me kinda tone asked if we wanted drinks. I asked what kind do you have, she just tossed a drink menu at me. Brought our drinks and left. 10 minutes later asked if we were ordering food. Then disappeared before getting our order. We moved tables. The second waitress was a bit better. Food took way too long to come out, 45 minutes after we finished our appetizers. The food was ok and over priced. Was told that the kitchen was having issues which is why the food took so long to get to us.

Friendly staff. Fun atmosphere. Good food. Maaaybe a tad pricey. I've tried the dill pickle burger, Scotch eggs, and the bucket of bacon. It was all pretty good. I do wish there was more bacon in the bucket...it looks a little disappointing when it comes out. It's bacon in a bucket though, which is nice. The drink menu is decent and the waitress/bartender was accommodating when I asked her to make a drink a little differently than it appears on the menu. Definitely a fan of the fact they have ginger beer. Left the restaurant full and tipsy....sooooo, mission accomplished Leopold's.

Wednesday wings special. The wings were small in size but packed in flavor and are so delicious! I recommend the smoked Applewood wings. It's a little pricey to eat here but the food and drinks are worth it. Leopold's has the best poutine and cheesecake! The staff was very friendly and quick with delivering the food. The food was nice and hot when it arrived at the table. The atmosphere is always great! Always a fun time to visit this restaurant.

Not a good place to eat. I ordered a classic cheeseburger and got an entirely different burger that had jalapeños in it. Not even cheddar. And the patty was a bit crispy on the outside and dry in the inside. Very small meat patty as well. It took them an hour for me to get it from when I ordered it. And apparently they had a mix up in the kitchen, according to the waitress, that the wings that my kids ordered took just as long to get them. It was on a Sunday night and was not crowded, not even half full. It was not a pleasant experience. Most likely will not go there again.

Very disappointed. Service was slow. The restaurant was not busy. Food quality was poor and the presentation made me cringe. $70 for a clubhouse and chicken sandwich meals with no drinks is way to much for such small portions, poor quality and presentation. I would not recommend and have no plans on returning. If you take a look at all of my previous reviews, it takes a lot to disappoint me and I’m very fair.

First and last time going. The server was unprofessional not friendly at all. Had to be reminded multiple times and still forgot to bring out my drink which I didn’t ever get. I don’t know if it’s common at Leopold’s but we weren’t given utensils for our food at all. The food was dry, bread was stale and was overall not what was advertised on the menu, almost completely different. Even after a $70 bill we decided to tip, which felt ungratefully received as they took it quite aggressively with no thanks.

We stopped in after an evening walk for a drink on the patio. Nice patio area with music, string lights, palm trees and of course flamingos! Sarah was our server. She was very happy and good with helping us decide on which drinks to try. There were a couple of dogs with their owners at a table and the staff even brought out a bowl of water for them, and took a polaroid pic of them to put on the wall. We go to Leo's often and their food and drinks are always so good! Love how its decorated too!

I came to Léopolds for a date with my handsome husband I got plant-based wings as I’m on a diet right now.they were so good they almost gave me a foodgasam I even asked to speak to the chef they were just that good. Our chef was a young lad named ochira. He’s so friendly and so nice and make some amazing plant-based wings. Give this young man a raise right now.

Ordered a burger and fries. When I got it, I took off the top bun and there were no condiments, and the bottom bun had a tiny bit of mayo. I asked for mustard since it was pretty dry. Got the bill and they charged $1.50 for the mustard, calling it "dip". Seriously? You need to charge your customers for a tablespoon of mustard when you put next to no sauce on your burgers? Ridiculous.

I am writing this while waiting for our order. It has been exactly 45 minutes since our server received our order. I understand that during busy times there will be some delay but this amount of time is uncomfortable. I hope the food makes up for the wait. Success! A few minutes later and our meals arrived. Yes, worth the wait. Club house/fries and a blackened chicken wrap. A definite “gotta have it again”. Our server Taylor did a great job.

Yesterday I had the pleasure of being served by Katie and I couldn't be more impressed! She was super welcoming, attentive and professional and just overall made the service super enjoyable for us :) Good service can be hard to come by so I’m glad I had the chance to be served by her. I highly recommend her and hope y’all are able to have the same experience!!

Great place! Love the atmosphere and decor! Perfect for Transcona! Service was friendly and efficient! One of us had the clubhouse which was Huge and delicious. The other had dill pickle fish and chips. First few bites were ok, but the breading on the fish was a bit off. Somewhat gooey and way to thick. I think it was just an off night. We've had it before and it was perfect. O well maybe next time it will be better. We'll try again.

I had the pleasure of having Marielle as my server and I can honestly say I’ve never had better service at a restaurant in my life. She made my life better by serving me with her elite serving skills and great personality. I was having a rough day and she immediately flipped the script on that. 10/10

Great service from local Sarah with a “H “ who treated us with great service today. Fantastic to see Shyanne who remembered us from our first visit and took time to chat! Such a memorable visit we had to return. Love the atmosphere, all the friendly staff, absolutely love the venue! Welcome to Transcona! look forward to spending more time together and enjoying the patio. Great staff, good food, who could ask for more?

The food is pretty good, worth it for taco Tuesday’s and wing Wednesday’s with unique flavours. The food is good and decent portions but doesn’t always seem fresh, with some of the items being over priced. The service is hit or miss, some times it’s terrible and some times it’s good, depends on the day. Good beer selection. Wouldn’t recommend the Caesar there tried it a few times to be optimistic but it’s never good.

Wow wow wow!!!! I'm mind blown that I've never been here before. Definitely coming back. Food and Service was immaculate. Home made taquitos you have to try. Mac and cheese bites and the curly fries!!! Definitely get the wicked tasting ranch sauce to go with it!!!! Can't wait to come back and try more off the menu!!!

I had Salt and pepper wings, they were so salty I had to ask my partner to try them to see if it was just me, nope saltiest wings ever! Ask for ranch dressing on the side of the chicken puntine. It came on it. I know these are little things but when your complete meal is disappointing they add up to a not so great experience. Our server was awesome. Yes hopefully next time it be a better experience.

Love coming to this location, and all Leo’s for that matter! Service is always great and food is just as good! Excellent place to eat, drink and enjoy the atmosphere.

The food is always outstanding; I’ve never had a meal here that wasn’t above and beyond my expectations. I found that the later in the evening it gets the music gets a bit too loud for my liking, but that’ll never hinder my visits.

Love Leopold's food. Great taste and portion sizes. First time trying the Transcona location. Despite ordering our food for pickup over an hour before the pickup time (which was before 6pm), they somehow managed to be more than 30 minutes late. We usually don't eat in because the atmosphere is too noisy for us. Great food, but might stick with a different location next time.

Went to the Transcona location and had a few flavours of Wings & Perogy poutine, all were awesome!! Special shout out to our server Brad! We (mostly me) threw a lot of questions at him and he was an absolute gem about it. Will definitely be back!

This was the first time my wife and I chose to dine here and I have to say wow is this place ever a neat experience. We both just loved all the different things that were all over the walls building such character and gives you a lot of things to look at while you're enjoying your meal.

Food is just alright .Service is slow. Or it was on a Monday I went. Atmosphere is nice. Not a fan of the 18% gratuity default on the debit machine. The buckets could use some clarity in pricing and details. Won’t be my first choice in future outings.

Good breakfast sausage Pattie’s and pick de gallo. Hashbrown cubes were dry. Cheeseburger was rated a 7 by my husband who eats a lot of cheeseburgers. Fries hardened up quickly as they cooled. Food was served hot. High chairs and step down from booths.

Always happy to be here, it’s a favourite haunt! The staff feel like locals and they personally check on things and make you feel welcome. And the food! The food and the constant local taps are always a big draw for us, so much that we’re here once a week at least

They nailed the soft opening! The mac and cheese bites were amazing. Awesome wings, great poutine and my burger was so good. Really was an outstanding restaurant experience and is a much needed addition to the Transcona scene. Service was also great. Well done!

I came here a few weeks ago with a friend for one birthday drink....that turned into about 10. We were having such a great time. Our server was awesome, and the drink menu had some unique drinks to try. I hope to come back soon to try some food.
