I have been coming to Dr. Fung for at least 3-4 years now. I started originally going to her practice because i moved to the area, and was still struggling to find a good dentist in the city. I have extremely tight contacts between all of my molars, and it's basically impossible for me to floss my molars as it shreds the floss instantly. Due to that i had developed cavities in basically all my molars where they contact the other tooth. Dr. Fung was the first dentist to introduce me to a Waterpik and helped me be able to finally floss properly and control my gums, and make sure they stay clean. I have had her replace/fill a few of said cavities. I have never experienced a freezing experience as "enjoyable" as i have with her. She is very compassionate about her patients and does everything to address the problem, and educate you to prevent further issues. I recently had a filling replaced by her on a tooth that I knew was a borderline candidate for a root canal. But with her skillful hands, and committed work she was able to get rid of the full cavity and fill it properly. I am certain other dentists would have been too lazy and just said "You need a root canal" and charged me as such. Instead I left her practice with just a filling, and more money in my pocket because of her dedication to her patients. I have never felt as compelled to write a glowing review for a practice/business as much as this. But the feeling of complete trust, compassion and care from your Dentist is more than enough to do so. I live 30 minutes away now, but would be hard pressed change dentists ever again. Thank you Dr.Fung and your whole team for a pleasurable experience, in a field that is normally a horror for most people.

I have been a patient of Dr. Fung at Leslieville Dentistry for several years now, and I can confidently say that they are truly amazing. From the moment you walk in the door, you are greeted with a warm smile and a friendly face. The office itself is clean and welcoming, with a modern and relaxing atmosphere. Dr. Fung is an incredible dentist. She has a gentle touch and a calming demeanor, which always puts me at ease during my appointments. She takes the time to explain everything in detail and answer any questions I may have. I never feel rushed or pressured, and I always feel like my dental health is her top priority. The services at Leslieville Dentistry are top-notch. Whether it's a routine cleaning or a more complex procedure, Dr. Fung and her team use the latest techniques and technologies to ensure the best possible outcome. I have had a number of procedures done at their office, and I have always been thrilled with the results. Aside from their exceptional dental skills, what really sets Dr. Fung and Leslieville Dentistry apart is their genuine care and concern for their patients. They truly care about your overall health and well-being, and they go above and beyond to make sure you are comfortable and happy. They have a great chairside manner and they make you feel like you are part of the family. In short, I cannot recommend Dr. Fung and Leslieville Dentistry highly enough. They are truly amazing and I am so grateful to have them as my dentist. If you are looking for a dentist who is skilled, compassionate, and dedicated to providing the best possible care, then look no further than Dr. Fung at Leslieville Dentistry. I give one star for the staff behind the desk who were kind to me. My issue is with the dentist who was not at all trauma informed in any way. As someone with a history of trauma I avoid dentists. It's an incredibly triggering environment and it can feel violating. I spoke at length with the dentist about what my needs were and how my having a history of trauma effects my visits to the dentist. She shamed me for my infrequent dental visits when any trauma informed dentist would know that folks with certain kinds of trauma are known to have extreme anxiety and therefore avoid dentists. She didn't show any empathy and was short with me. If you have a history of trauma, I do not recommend this dentist. As for the dentist, please educate yourself and your staff about being trauma informed. It's ridiculous that in a profession where you spend the time right up in people's faces and sticking tools into their mouths (which is intrusive) I had to explain to you at length what it meant that I was traumatized and what it means to be triggered. I cried throughout my entire appointment (getting a cavity filled) while people were so dismissive. Do better.

I have no issue with dr. Fungs skills as a dentist. However I’m deeply disappointed at her bedside manner. I just finished an appointment with my 4 year old daughter and she was curt, did not say hello, did not provide me as a parent an assessment and got up to leave. I had to ask if my daughters mouth looked ok before she left the room and she simply said her teeth are too close together and we don’t floss enough so she can’t see. My daughter is 4 years old, and got up from her chair and walked out of the room while I was behind her gathering her things to put her mask back on and then dr Fung was clearly annoyed asking her assistant if my child came in with a mask( which she did) then put her hand on my daughter to turn her around and say “put on your mask”. Did not say goobye, thanks or anything. As a healthcare professional myself, I’ve never seen such a curt and dismissive display with a child and a parent. Manners and being polite and providing information to parents goes a long way. Unacceptable and disappointing. We’ll be moving on from this practise.

For those with extra time and money, try Leslieville Dentistry. My mom - a senior who is on a budget - moved to Toronto in the summer of 2020. She needed a dentist near her new home and I found Leslieville Dentistry to be located conveniently so I had her records transferred from her prior Dentist and set up an appointment. When I got my mom there I was told it would take anywhere from 1 to 1.5 hours. As it turned out, it was just short of 2 hours. We paid and I decided to check with a couple of other Dentists for the time required for an initial visit and cleaning. Both quoted 1 hour and were approximately 2/3 the cost of Leslieville Dentistry. The 2 dentists I called are my wife’s and mine, just east of Leslieville - and have been in business for years, so it is safe to say their quoted times and costs are reliable. Leslieville Dentistry and I have agreed - I will be taking my mom elsewhere going forward to save both time and my mom’s money.

I began to see Dr. Fung several years ago, when the dentist I was seeing abruptly sold his practice. Much to my surprise, she identified a cavity beneath a crown from the xrays sent to her by my previous dentist. I have no idea how long that had been developing or why the previous dentist had not bothered to remediate it. However, she did. It was a huge job but the new cap that she fitted was also a much better fit than the previous one. More recently, a front tooth chipped. What amazed me was how quickly, well, and painlessly she fixed it. When I looked in the mirror afterwards, I could not tell at all that there had ever been a chip there. She is a wonderful person and it is a comfortable office with a friendly staff. That's all great, of course, but more than that, she is a great dentist.

Although I am guilty of not going to Dr Fung as much as I should, my daughter and I could not ask for better dentist. When she extracted my wisdom teeth I had the unfortunate side effect of getting dry socket-- very painful and unpleasant. Dr Fung was available to help me through this period of time (almost one full week) on a daily basis to pack my sockets with cloves to ease the pain and help me through the week. She went above and beyond. My daughter actually enjoys going to the dentist because Dr. Fung and her entire team make it a pleasant experience for their patients, adults and children alike. Highly recommend.

Five stars for Dr. Fung and her skilled team. I have been coming here for years and have never had an issue. The team demonstrates care and respect for all of their patients. During the height of the pandemic, Leslieville Dentistry invested in several pieces high-end equipment to ensure the health and safety of their patients and staff. They re-assured us that they were taking every precaution to keep everyone safe, and they did! I will not go to any other dental office because I trust Dr. Fung and her team will always deliver top-notch care and services for me and my family.

I brought my four-year old son in to Leslieville Dentistry this morning. He went in quite scared and came out with the biggest smile, excited for his next appointment. Dr. Fung was very kind and patient with him. She gently explained every step throughout the process and made us both feel at ease. My son was relaxed when she thoroughly cleaned his teeth and demonstrated how to floss. She is a superb professional and we feel fortunate to have her as our dentist!

Highly recommended. I went there for a checkup (and a followup appointment thenext day) after many many years without seeing a dentist (oops). Dr Fung and the staff were all very thorough and competent, which gives me great confidence in my teeth. Plus they're warm and friendly and easy to deal with. The office is nice and I was never kept waiting. It seems weird to describe a visit to the dentist as a great experience, but that's what it is.

For a person who hasn't been back to the dentist for quite sometime, I was very wary on choosing the right dentist to fix my broken molar. I am happy to say that choosing Dr. Fung as my dentist was the right decision for me. Dr. Fung and her team were very welcoming, informative, and patient with me during my visits. The office was very clean and modern with everything I needed. I highly recommend Dr. Fung as your dentist!

Dr. Fung is a great dentist, very thorough, professional and supportive. She has a great chair-side manner. I hadn't been in a few years and I booked a check-up and also had a broken filling. I was in and out quickly, and I believe I got very good value for my money. I had some anxiety and Dr. Fung made me feel as comfortable as she could, with empathy. Thank you Dr. Fung.

Doctor was good but the front desk staff is very rude and disrespectful! Always ruins my experience. I am not leaving this review because of your policies, I had no issue with them. My issue was with the front desk staff that was to constantly rude every time I spoke to her, despite explaining my situation. That is why my family member or I won't be coming back.

I have been seeing Dr. Fung for about 10 years now, and as someone who is constantly working with sugar, let me tell you that I visit this office often. Not only because of all the cavities but also because she's quite possibly the best dentist I know. I often find my visits to be therapeutic and relaxing, lets hear you say that about any other dentists office.

Dr Fung is the best. She cares deeply for her patients and has helped me with every step of my Invisalign journey. She puts in as much time as necessary to get you the results you’re looking for. I truly feel like she wants me to have the best smile in the world. Emily at reception is also wonderful, organized and warm. Would definitely recommend LD.

She asked my 10 yr old niece who has a skin condition, how many times in week she showers ? And then had the audacity to ask how many times her family showers!! racist comment l must say!!! my question to her is how many times does she wash her mouth out with soap because it’s long overdue … she doesn’t deserve any stars.. No bedside manners !!

Dr. Fung ia an excellent dentist. She is the first one in years that has provided the same recommendations as my trusted family dentist in another province. Others have variably recommended I replace my veneers which are still in good shape, invented cavities, etc. Very smart dentist with great service.

Dr. Fung is fantastic! Excellent and careful care. Great during pregnancy and breastfeeding - staff worked to ensure treatment was safe without any prompting. Dr. Fung respected my request to avoid freezing and the experience was completely painless.
