A very popular Chinese Bakery with a wide variety of cakes, buns, cookies and a number of beverage options including bubble tea. I stopped in about an hour after the Bakery opened and it was really busy. The self service bins on the wall had a very limited selection of buns. I selected a Baked BBQ Pork bun, a crispy coated bun, and a Steamed BBQ bun from the front counter. I waited in line for a short time and asked for a piece of Sponge Cake. The steamed BBQ Pork was big and had a nice taste to it. The baked BBQ Pork Bun was average tasting with limited filling. A nice to stop for Chinese Buns and other baked goods if you arrive early for the best selection with a staff that speaks limited English. A ten dollar purchase is required to use a credit card. A small parking lot is in front of the bakery. Located on SE Division off of 87th street in Portland.

I’m a Cantonese visiting Portland and am impressed by this bakery! The XianShuiJiao (fried sticky rice cake with pork filling) is so good! The skin is crispy and sticky rice cake is sweet and soft, while the pork filling is savory. Not much dim sum places have it. We have revisited the place the next day for more: egg tart, BBQ pork pie, curry beef pie, pineapple buns. Strongly recommend the BBQ pork pie.

Best Chinese Bakery in Portland with the best prices and the tastiest pastries. The pineapple bums are the biggest in town and cheapest too. While you are in the store just order milky tea and you would love it . The price a cup is only one dollar. The setting of the store looks very dated but don’t let appearance fool you because that is how they keep the prices down.

This was my first time coming in, during the morning. They have more selection available during these times. My favorite is their hot dog onion bread. My partner enjoys their raisin bread with coffee. This is a self serve, with tongs available, parchment paper and a serving tray. It does get quite busy in the mornings, so it's best to be early to not miss out.

This is one of my favorite businesses in the neighborhood. Every single pastry they make is incredible, and the prices are very reasonable. I've misunderstood the process a couple of times (ex. I tried to separate a bun that's sold as a strip of three for an insanely low price), and the employees have always explained kindly. My favorite place for treats!

Been coming here for 6 years, hands down the best bakery and coffee in the neighborhood. The cream cheese toast & americano are my favourite quick breakfast before work, and their birthday cakes are the only ones I give anymore. The staff is always super chill and patient, no matter how busy it gets, and deserve a tip.

Very good everything! Pricing went up a bit, but you know, it's PDX and it's just gonna. The hum bow is good, but they do need to put more filling in them. BRING CASH if you only want a thing or two, bc will expect you to charge 10.00 minimum with a card. Also, has really great pineapple roll. Runs out quick!

Their hand pull rice roll is the best! The menu by the register is written in Chinese. They only serve this dish til 12noon daily and you have can choose your choice of protein with an option to add an egg to your rice roll. We got 3 plates: beef with egg; char siu; and plain egg for a total of $12.

Awesome Chinese Bakery at this little hole in the wall bakery in my neighborhood and the prices are awesome as well as the bakery items are one of the best I have ever tasted here in Oregon since I have lived here for over 45 years. I highly recommend this bakery and it …

Stop everything. This is an absolute GEM of a bakery. So many pastries - more than I could ever imagine - lined one wall with easy self service. Dozens more are behind a glass case. These are fresh, delicious, and deserve to be purchased by the dozen. Get some.

  • Malinda Proud

My boys can't get enough of these. Pre orders are easy and fulfill them on time and accurately. Bakes are consistent and on point. There isn't anything they haven't liked but they definitely have their favorite because they love the ham and egg pastry.

This is my secret mom n pop Chinese bakery place to go to. If you expect nice sit down place than this is not the one, but if you are looking for traditional Hong Kong/Cantonese bakeries to take home than this is the spot.

  • T T

Needs to have good customer communication skills. And hardly any workers understand English. But I like the elderly man that served me. He was nice and tried hard to get what I liked to buy. Thank you Mr. …… !!!!!!

  • Lekshe King

I love this place. Today I had half of two different pastries--one savory and one sweet, and I tried the coffee-tea combo. Perfect start to a day of gardening. Staff were pleasant. Food was affordable and tasty.

  • Jessica vescogni

Bakery is fresh and prices are probably best in town. If you go late in the afternoon, often time they are out of lots of items and therefore selections are much limited. Morning is the best time to go.

  • David Reyes

Authentic and delicious. Try and come early, many of the crowd favorites sell out quickly. My partner loves their red bean sesame balls, which is difficult to find in Portland.

  • Tristan Tam

Great selection of Cantonese favorites. Their cakes are pretty good too. By far the best Portuguese egg tarts in Portland. It's hard to find bakeries that make them correctly.

  • Dan Brady

Great pastries stuffed with everything from strawberries to chicken. Purchasing is delayed by outdated POS and mismanaged floor space. Easy fix. Friendly and helpful staff

  • Jason Shams

This is the spot you’re looking for m my americano is on point, beef pie is flaky with the tiniest hint of spice, the mousse cake is light and creamy all for eight bucks.

  • Dark Fan

I've been here once before. The prices are reasonable and the pastries are better than decent. Plus the gals behind the counter are polite and efficient. I liked it!

  • paul herr

Good selections of Asian bakery. Freshly baked daily for reasonable prices. Worth it just to drop by and get your asian bakery before heading to the grocery store.

  • brandy janik

So good! And nice people! I love the red beans sesame balls. I have only one recommendation... Please put more filling in your savory pastries and buns.

  • Alan

Love their bakery and pastry. The price is very reasonable. The store could be alot better if they can be a bit more cleaner and organized.

  • Emma

Their baked goods are authentic Chinese. Everything is just so good! I personally love their steamed buns, pork floss bread and cake.

  • Summie Tam

Great price and authentic Hong Kong style bakery with very fresh buns and very flakey egg tarts and pastries.

  • Rickiefu Wanfui

I treat my husband to their goodies and you really get some wonderful Asian pastries for so little money.

  • S

Definitely a beat up shop interior but I had 5 items near closing time and they were all notably good.

  • Bev Cordova

Always fresh and excellent. BEST SESAME BALLS IN PTLD! A 25 min drive for me but well worth the trip.

  • Kirk Bristol

We absolutely LOVE this store for their excellent food. Call ahead with your order for quick service!

  • Renee Daniels

Selfishly, I don't want to review this place because their buns already go so fast, but so so good!

  • enl

Their coffee and beverage is so underrated! I think it's HK style. Try it! Highly recommended:)
