Absolutely disgusting to be treated like a thief as was unable to carry my own shopping to my car .When putting my food into the basket the security said I'm not aloud to take it, I then asked if he would help me to be then told NO and another member of staff telling me to calm down. I'm a hard working KEYWORKER and was only getting food for the firefighters at my husbands station die to them being on a shout. I know have red roar arms and cuts from the heavy bags. You should be ashamed of your staff. As they know nothing of anyone's backgrounds and what is going on. I understand they are classed as keyworkers but to get all high and mighty because they now have this new status, is beyond me
By far the WORST Lidl I have ever visited! Kiwi displayed as £0.23, however when scanned they came up as £0.29 Instead of apologising and acknowledging they have displayed a false price, the checkout girl says " Oh I don't get what you want me to do, this is has got nothing to do with me, I don't get paid enough" Polish rude manager comes along and claims I got it wrong and the price is correct Lidl, are you serious? Is this your standard? This purchase was for a homeless shelter which I clarified, clearly went completely over their head! Train your staff Lidl! Won't be coming back for sure and will be spreading the word also!
My new local store now.i like shopping here.staff are nice bit its sometimes customers who are rude by pushing you out the way.or just standing in moddel of an aisle and not caring that you want to get past even though they swen you. Not lidl fault it happens in every store. Only one product I didnt like so far is the chicken chow main.it tasted horrible so avoid. Everything else is great. I love the fresh doughnuts and also the sweets section. Good desserts too. Overall I like this store and food. Checkout girls also polite and very quick to scan your shopping. Girl I had today was very nice.
Although the prices are low and there is a good bakery choice... Only fat free and low fat dairy products?!?!? Also, have you ever heard about substituess for dairy? This evening I had the worst experience in my shopping life. Had to scan on the self service an entire big trolley and the only staff was a manager who was working on the shop floor himself??! Not to mention how many times there were issues and had to wait for help.... It took me ages, more than taking products off the shelves. The hell! Open checkouts and keep staff on the shop floor in case we need advices or indications.
Living in Sutton I have been waiting for a Lidl to open up nearer to me, sure enough one did in Rosehill. Absolutely love this shop, especially the pastry section haha! Staff are nice and friendly and willing to help. More recently my partner was i hospital for a couple of weeks, I got to Lidl just as it was closing, I explained to the staff that I hadn't slept for a few days due to being at the hosp with my partner and not really taking time to feed myself, a lovely lady allowed me to go in and take some time to grab some bits. Fantastic store with great staff and awesome bargains.
On the site of the old Co Op, have shopped here a few times, but today was told that Lidl don't consider this a Big Store, so the hardware item I wanted, hadn't need included in their stock delivery, and it took a while before someone knew how I could avoid getting a parking ticket as I didn't have a receipt to put through the machine. This store is good for the everyday things, but it's hard to find a member of staff to help with the unusual, so for that recommend going to the Wallington branch 15 minutes away, although seemingly smaller, they seem better trained and stocked.
Worst customer service ever. Very rude and abrupt (possibly) eastern european worker (claimed to be a manager) on self-check out having a go at some poor women when an item either didn't scan or wasn't heavy enough to register once scanned, the staff behavior was disgusting and worse still she was quickly backed up by someone claiming to be an undercover security guard who was equally as rude. Cheap products, cheap staff, cheap staff training = zero customer service. I certainly won't be going back if this is what they are like.
If you shop there, you'll already be aware of their system, ie don't expect an impeccable service and at times you will not find what you need, you may come out with a pair of new trainers or a saucepan though. However, prices are competitive, and some of the vegetables are still fresh looking. You will also find other continental food that are what you can buy in established supermarkets, but under other names. Staff on the floor are scares, or too busy to help. Well you know what I mean if you already shop there. Disfruta.
My mum & i shopped here this eve (8/12/22) and was helped by an extremely helpful young man - Karan, who was great as we had a couple of issues with the till. There was another lady on the next till who had a special needs child with her and he helped her too, packing her shopping in her trolly. This young man is an asset to your organisation and if there’s Employee of the Month, he should seriously be considered. He was so cheerful, friendly and super helpful. Thank you, Karan - you are a ⭐️*****
Now an established Lidl store. Parking is free, but you have to validate before leaving the store, requires you to scan your receipt and enter your registration on a touch screen after checkout. This is a relatively small store, compared to the Lidl in Morden and Sutton. Same produce as you've come to expect. There is a toilet inside and a nice world goods store next door (across the street from the car park entrance). Talking about the car park: you exit the car park onto Roseville roundabout.
First time using this particular store, huge carpark compared to our local store with well sign posted entry and exit. Well stocked shelves even at 4.30pm. Purchased a beautiful bunch of lilies for my wife's 80th birthday party, price to my mind amazing!! Found other articles I needed with ease, pleasant guy on the check out and very helpful security guy showing me how to register my bill and vehicle registration number. Good quick shop at what is often a busy time.
I parked in lidil where I do my weekly shop this particular Saturday they have decided to give me a parking fine £ 90 I will never shop here again I am disgusted lidil have lost my custom my family and friends will also no longer shop at this unhelpfull place this stupid parking ticket will now cost lidil a lot of revenue loss from just one family don't shop there its another toxic regime that's run out of ideas waging war on the public and motorist I am disgusted
New Lidl store in Sutton borough. Very convenient for the local people. This site was long been underused by another supermarket support chain CO-OP, which could not survive in the business due to under performance. Lidl is doing well doing since the very first day of the opening. It also added value for the other local businesses. Free car park for the customers, but don’t forget to validate your 90 minutes free parking through the machines on the packing bench.
A nice clean store, friendly staff. Just so annoying that at some times, ie 9.45 am there were no checkouts open so had to join the long queue to use the self scan checkout, even when there is a manned checkout open they are trying to get you to use the self scan usually with the checkout operator bellowing it out to customers in the queue. Come on Lidl, even for a no frills supermarket this is poor customer service!
New to this type of budget supermarket so was quite surprised to find the prices are vastly lower than the larger and more well known superstores. A significant amount of money could be saved here on a weekly shop. Quality is also very good. Car park could be larger and, importantly, you must remember to scan your receipt and enter your registration number before you leave to avoid a parking fine
Really great place to shop. I wouldn't call it cheap but their quality is good. Much reasonable compared to other supermarkets. Ample parking at the rosehill store. Checkout can be quite slow but hey... you go because its reasonable so no harm in waiting for abit longer. Amazing selection of wine. I go there purely for this and their German Christmas sweet selection - cakes, stollen etc.
Good value for money. Almost always get parking. A lot of things that are generally better than some of the other big names. Love the bakery and cold meat section. The middle isle with random things usually have some gems. Only slight negative is waiting times at tills. Some stores dont have self checkout either. But certainly a store we support more often than not.
Not the best food here but great salad stuff and drinks. I was accused today of stealing a birthday card and the guy At the self checkout made a big deal out of It until he saw my receipt but I guess he felt kinda silly after seeing that I payed for it. I felt really embarrassed too, don’t think I be going back here in a while. Made me feel like a small ant.
as you would expect for a supermarket. let down by long cue's and absolutely no space to pack your bags after paying. sure there is a counter to pack your bags but unfortunately they forgot to account for shopping trolleys and trying to get passed each other. so when your packing your in the way of other customers trying to leave the shop !!!
First time visit to this particular store. No complaints and even sell Redbush tea which I bought to try. I usually buy tea and coffee from other supermarkets but decided to give this tea and French Coffee grains No4 a try. Much cheaper than other brands and I have noticed the quality of Lidl foods are far superior to what they once we're.
Situated in a wonderful place at Rosehill roundabout, this Lidl is quiet big anf spacious. The parking seemed a little congested but it has sufficient parking. The entry poing is down by the road that goes to Carshalton. Almost all Lidl products are available here. Definetely a good one for locals and St. Helier hospital's patient.
Fantastic quality fruit and veg and the prices are great but when I went (friday 2pm ish) it was so busy and difficult to get round the isles. The level of stock was good and I was surprised to see that there was staff available to even do things such as clean the shelves as well as stock the shelves so that was a big plus for me.
It's a big store and right now in the market as compared to other supermarkets it's cheap. This store has free parking for the customers who do shopping. Don't forget to scan your receipt at the machine after finishing your shopping. Otherwise, you can get a ticket. Don't forget to buy fresh bakery, especially in the morning .
Bought some steak, no staff on the tills I scanned and paid for my goods. On the way out the alarm went off. Security accused me of stealing he's lucky I didn't knock the little fuxk pot.out. I'm not a thief I suggest you have the correct number of staff in future. Or next time your 'Security' team will need some first aos.
The store follows Covid rules and regulations. It was fully stocked at the time of the visit. Staff is always helpful. There is a new addition to the store, which is a coffee machine. The coffee is nice and reasonably priced. There is only one size available but it does give an option of with sugar or without sugar.
Lidl is perfect for most stuff. Meat, Milk, Bakery, Bread, Freezer stuff. The rose hill one which is my local is pretty big and has a car parking as well. Things they don't have are clothes, cards or baby stuff so you gotta go elsewhere for that, but what they do have is very good quality and cheap as well.
This is improving slowly. The staff are getting better. The only thing you need to be away of is making sure you use your receipt's bar code for your parking except before you leave the shop. Use the screens on the shelf at the end of all the tills otherwise you will get a parking ticket through the post.
Feels like products quality worsens every week, everything is shrinking in size and prices constantly go up. Have been buying mainly in Lidl since 2012 but I think the time has come to switch. It is not even competitive on price any more. Can easily get comparable deals at shops like Asda or Tesco.
What a nightmare! What a state this store is in, looks like it needs a good clean, very little in the way if vegetables, some of the cold meat looked very murky indeed, a lot of empty shelves, long queues at checkout, trolleys outside just chucked everywhere. One good point is the bread was fresh!
Cheaper than M&S and Waitrose, of late not happy with the quality. Many of the food items lacking taste. Today the salads looked like they were never alive. Waited nearly 10 minutes at the checkout. Forgot to register the car no, had to go back and do it. Wasn't a pleasant experience at all today.
They have stock problems and regular everyday items seem to be few and far between or non existent. They are stocking more branded products which I think is pointless as LIDL was first a discount shop not a major supermarket. With the limited space they would do better to keep true to their brand.
Again today, no small trolleys, I prefer to use a manned checkout but as usual a long queue at the one and only open checkout which was closing before I reached the end of the queue. Aldo a queue at the self checkout because about 4 tills out of order. Not a good service at a busy time of year.
When ever I come to this shop I'd buy something and the security guard would always stop me and ask for my receipt. I did t do anything that would make him have a reason to ask for it but it's now the third time. It's like he doesn't like me. I asked him why he stopped me and he didn't answer
Good however too many small box of eggs (6) instead of large free range box, no milk, white bread, no 18 pack of toilet paper, however I also believe it's because it's a new store which is great, seen so many faces that I'v never seen before so I guess business will definitely be good.
Good place to shop, cheaper than most stores plus sells various items each month. Veg not always fresh, if you shop in evening you have to scan ur own stuff, bakery items run out fast & have to do a top up shop elsewhere of everyday day items you need but they don't sell- shame!
Update.. Recently there are lots of empty shelves... Helpful stuff and the layout of the store is nicely done. I'm taking out 1 star because of the shelves being empty quite often. And I'm not talking about the temporary products (when it's gone it's gone), but the regular ones.
Some good produce at good prices but long wait, no tills, except self services, few staff, basic products, middle isles a jumble sale & most of all no info about parking regulations, just automatic parking charge! Not knowing the law is not an excuse. Reallt? Be very careful!
I experienced a racist staff. I'm black and waiting in line to use the self check out machines. When one became free, I walked towards it only for this male staff to say to me, 'only card payments here'. I was incensed at the open show of discrimination based on skin colour
Easy on site parking good selection in-store of fresh fruit, fresh vegetables & foods. There are also special buy items these change weekly. Social distancing guidelines are in place so queuing is to be expected especially at busy periods. Prices are very reasonable too.
Nice & clean like most lidl stores! But some staff rude, & on occasion asked for assistance but received nothing but attitude! Frozen foods often very low or out of stock and hardly any vegetarian foods! Although nearer I often go to morden one without the above hassles!
Great value, not many big brand name products and simple items you’d expect them to sell they don’t. BUT when it comes to value , can’t be beaten. My monthly food shopping bill has reduced significantly since switching from Tesco/Morrison’s. Well recommended
Nice shop to get your weekly or daily shop. Parking facilities available. Toilets as well. Check out not open so have to go through self service which can be annoying especially if you have quite a lot of shopping. Otherwise helpful staff, clean and friendly
Annoyingly, the self checkout stands are often occupied by people with trolleys full to the brim who really take time to scan each product. As a result, the queue is formed until the end of the store, but of course the staff will not pay attention to them.
Security is poor, alarm beeps if you have items from another store, with a 1 year old baby it's very inconvenient to take every item out and spend time finding receipts. This only ever happens at lidl, other ladies at the library also share the same issue
The best prices ever in European quality products! Cheap and excellent!!! Is amazing! But Brexit will end that soon and the prices of European products will become unpayable by the taxes that the government of England will take out of your pocket...
Lidl staff excellent. But just to raise a concern whose responsibility the parking rules. Not in general but I’m talking about people with disability badge or disable parking they are taking their over the limit and sometimes taking advantage of it.
Need a security guard at all times. We were there today and within 5 min of us being there I saw one male leave the store with a bag full of food items. And with that another male wearing a black hooded Parker took some sort of body shaker plate.
Love a Lidl. This rosehill shop is good apart from the queues for tills and self checkout and self checkout is limited to card only so have to go and wait In the long trolley queues for the tills even if only 3 items if you want to pay cash!!!
Its ok for things u forget I couldn't do a full weekly shop not enough choice and at weekends is so busy ques at tills are big carpark small and it come out directly on Rose hill roundabout u have to put parking details in machine at checkout
All the aisles constantly have the big cages in the way, as they fill the produce on the shelves. Why they can't do it during the night when the shop is closed, is anyone's guess. Management are unfriendly and don't expect a smile from them.
It's Lidl. Same quality and service as any other branch I've been to. Note that there is restricted parking for 90min max. And you have to purchase something and scan the receipt at one of the kiosk machines inside to avoid a parking fine.
The only thing that made this experience a four-star one was the lack of sufficiently functioning self-checkouts and the small number of checkout lanes - meaning a lot of waiting unnecessarily even when the store is not particularly busy
Fantastic produce and bakeries. Middle of Lidl always looks messy, but if you have the patience, you might find your ideal sewing machine, plush briefs, waterhose or helicopter spare part. A bit poor on the vegan options. Good prices.
BIG, BRIGHT AND BRAND NEW. My first visit to this new Lidl store. Very nicely laid out. Looks modern and classy. Largest Lidl I've seen. So lots of products. AND. The same low prices. SUTTON has a new number 1 supermarket. Impressive.
Great place for a family bonding day out, there is something for everyone. I love to see a high quality store finally arrive in this area too, it actually warms my heart to see so much diversity and family in one place.
Face masks compulsory? Not in this store. Several staff in chin strap mode and one not wearing one at all until customer complained. Several shoppers as well seemed unaware that BOTH nose and mouth need to be covered.
Reasonably priced, good value items. Thats what lidl is all about. Ive never had an issue in any of their stores apart from checkout queues whi h to be fair. Has gotten a lot better over the years. Keep it up guys!
Friendly Staffs, Many discount available, Fresh vegetables, you can find everything what you searching for your needs. They have many self paying tills so it’s very easy to check out without waiting in the queue.
A new store, my partner and daughter use it more than I do. I was in there this afternoon, always very busy. What strikes me is always it's so clean, food quality very good. I would like to see a suggestion box.
It is a great branch. Basically, we buy our weekly groceries from it. It provides different products with reasonable price. It also has a parking which is just free for customers if they register their reciept.
Lidl always had the best product quality/price range. I'm happy they finally have these golden yolk eggs they taste delicious. I wish they could reduce plastic waste by not wrapping every vegetable and fruit..
It's ok, but things that should be stocked together are stocked in all different aisles!! It just makes it hard work to shop. Not to keen myself, some products are good and cheap. But its trial and error.
Shop is ok, but if you buy a bottle of gin or vodka, & go through the self scan tills, they take the security tags off for you, but the alarm still goes off as you try to leave the store, in every Lidl's.
Great shop. Always save money when I shop here and still get the best British quality. The barbecue that was purchased saved me over £200 buying it here. The staff are friendly, helpful and polite too.
They have pretty good fruit and some stuff is cheaper. The middle isle is insane. You might end up getting pushed out of the way. 17p for 2 litres of sparking spring water is a good deal too
Excellent specially for the wallet. Quality of Lidl has improved significantly in the last 2-3 years. My favourite parts are fresh produce and bakery (the smell will pull you towards it) :)
A busy store crammed with everyday essentials at good value for money prices. The share bags of crisps taste like much more expensive ones and the seasonal area is always full of bargains.
So its very accessible to everyone, lots of parking available, disabled as well, quality dood reasonably priced. Lovely staff. Parking is free at the moment due to the ongoing pandemic.
Store can feel cramped on ocassion but for the money saved on a weekly shop it's very worth it. Have also done away with parking verification. Lidl app is only giving minor savings now
It is what is to be expected. Cheaper than standard supermarkets. But that comes with being unable to source some items, particularly branded ones. Fresh bakery foods are very nice.
This Lidl supermarket has offered a good experience on average. Good prices and time-limited offers. I found other markets from Lidl brand very unorganised and empty shelves.
Like always huge range of quality products. In peak hours it is hard to find free parking space but it's understandable. I love their almond ice creams! Keep that way Lidl.
Great price! However, Don’t forget! You must register your vehicle before you leave with your receipt. If not, you will get surprise minus gift card in 2weeks. …
The stock is reducing by the day and making it extremely difficult to get access to the most basic grocery. Especially, the quality of steaks has reduced drastically.
£90 parking ticket if you shop on this lidl branch and you forget to enter your car registration number for the parking!! Isn't this ridiculous?!!
Not as cheap as it used to be. Apple Turnovers that were 39p one year ago are now 65p; Sutton Lidl hasn't even sold them for my last three visits!
It's absolutely fantastic to see four cash self checkout tills and all four working, splendid work Lidl, please keep it up. …
Great location and quality of store. Parking can be busy during peak times so time your visit well. Stocks all the nice things, bakery and tools
Extremely busy. Scan machine only one cash working with one assistant helping. Long lines to. Lot of stuff on the shelves. Easy parking spot.
Had a full trolley of shopping at Lidl Rosehill. ALL the tills were unmanned my frozen food had defrosted by the time I finished on selfserve
Great shopping experience today. I was able to get all I needed. I was able to go straight to a self check out and pass straight through.
Its never funny to get a £90 parking fine after you have spent over £100 in the shop. Be aware of this! Never gonna step in there again!
Nice place, staff very good and have a good knowledge of the products and service. Downside the bakery department had the labels wrong.
Well stocked. Loads of special offers and great for parking. DONT forget to register your number plate when you park in their car park
Easy parking not always got items I want but usually have most things, I have noticed increase in some products but still good value.
Not my cup of tea went there when they open store for a cheap sewing machine on offer and they didn't have any or a space for them.
I really love the concept of kids shopping strolleys here. My kids had so much fun today and its also very good value for money
Decent sized store very conveniently located on the roundabout. Average sized carpark but never seen it full to Max capacity.
Good selection, professional and helpful staff. Most of all it's close to my home and it's cheaper than other supermarkets
Very busy place. Good to do your weekly shop. Car park is usually busy but always had a space free. Decent priced goods.
GREAT store...Nice clean store, 5* great customer service and always can find what I need.. best lidl in the area..
Lidl is a good supermarket; however the customers are quite weird. One kept on moaning weirdly and was laughing
Poor staff people over stocking their trolleys and staff having to put it all back they looked stressed out
It’s a Lidl. It’s going to be great. The shops great, in what I’m saying. Tills are always closed though.
Great place I've been to many lidles but this was the best one. They had everything I needed and wanted.
11 empty 'card only' machines and only 2 cash accepting machines with a long queue. Complete imbalance
Handy lidls just remember to put your reg in when you leave plenty parking and a good size middle isle
Clean store, well stocked seems to have quite alot more than other stores it's quite compact store
Shopping at the lidl is nice, but your parking restrictions at some centers are tiring..
