I went to this temple recently and needed to go to the bathroom. I saw the ladies bathroom and went around the temple trying to find the mens bathroom. When i couldn’t find it, i asked someone in a grey robe where the bathroom was and she said there was no mens bathroom. She told me i could just use the ladies bathroom but I was a little hesitant. I opened the door and it was extremely dark so i switched the light on. As i switched the light on, a woman’s voice came out of somewhere in the back of the stalls and told me not to use the lights because it wastes the electricity. I was very surprised by her sudden voice and i turned the lights off as requested. That day was the first day i had to pee in the dark. In the women’s bathroom. With a woman in it.

This place is a true hidden gem in San Antonio, TX. The grounds are immaculate, and you couldn't ask for a more beautiful temple. We went to the Japanese Tea Garden, and honestly, this place puts that to shame. We got lucky, because when we visited, there was nothing going on really, but in spite of that we happened to meet one of the monks (Bau?) inside the gift shop, who took the time to show us the temple and give us a tour. If I lived down here, I would be here every day!

This temple is absolutely beautiful inside and out and the community is so welcoming. I was first introduced to this temple through the English Sangha Sunday mediation (2pm-3:30pm). From the moment I walked into the Buddha hall, I felt loving and calming energy. It was like a second home. I’ve been going every Sunday since the beginning of August. It is now my Sunday routine.

Sacred place for a mindful walk and silent meditation. Hopefully all will respect this temple, it's grounds and the public will continue to be allowed to visit. If visiting please be respectful and observe noble silence and wear modest clothing. Please be careful of the garden and leave the grounds as you found it so it will remain open to visitors. Thank you☺️

The best and most relaxing place i've been! all the members and head teacher were very inviting, and i especially enjoyed the tea talk we did after the sangha! literally 10000/10. if you're like me and are scared to go because you're alone, don't be! just talk to someone and they'll help you! i'm definitely making coming back here on sundays a routine.

Chùa Lien Hoa có bán đồ ăn chay vào ngày chủ nhật nếu không có ăn tại chỗ. Đồ ăn..ăn thì cũng ok không có gì đặt biệt lắm như giá bán cao hơn giá thị trường nhiều. 1 ỗ bánh mì chay $10 quá là cao …cao hơn so với business bán chỉ có $7 các loại bánh mì. Chùa không phải là business mà bán giá còn cao hơn ngoài thị trường.

This is a great place. Saw this being built and finely came by with my Vietnamese wife for the Lunar New Year. Pet a nice cat that was running around, got to see the pond and waterfall. Very nice place to relax and forget about the rest of the world and find spiritual calmness. Hope to go back with my wife again.

We live in the Camelot area and went over on Sunday and had the nicest visit with Master Tsien. They were all so generous and welcoming. The master invited us to come and have lunch Sundays at noon and do some meditation. They are also organizing a Sunday English speaking meditation and Dharma talk at 3pm.

Omg, I love it here. For years and years, this temple has caught my attention and I always said one day I'll go. That day came I asked for permission and spoke to a lovely lady Thao and showed me around. Its a must go place family friendly and with lots of reapect.❤️❤️

One of the most beautiful temples I have been to and I have been to at least 30. The main teacher/monk there is welcoming and does so much for the community of San Antonio, Austin and abroad. Wonderful gift shop, such a gem in San Antonio and the U.S. !

This place is magical for annual monastery sessions held three times per year. If you get a chance, please clear your soul with enhancement of your spirituality at this temple.

The abbot is such a warm and friendly monk. This place is perfect for meditation. Services are held every Sunday. Vietnamese in the morning and English in the afternoon.
