I have been using them for about a year-and-a-half. In August 12th of 2023. I didn't answer at first because it came up as a hair salon but I called backlater and it was Life Storage that had called. Three days later I called back and they said some units had been burglarized and my unit may have been affected. I immediately went over and saw that someone at pride the latch off of the storage locker door I was using. Fortunately at that time nothing was missing. They had installed a new latch. So I took the lock off the old latch and put it on the new one that was on the door. Fast forward 2 weeks, I get another call from them, and the person on duty at the time says during his rounds he saw that my unit didn't have a lock. And I said that's impossible I was just there a couple of weeks ago chicken my stuff out and I put the lock back on it. So I go back over, and check my unit and this time all the valuables had been stolen out of it. The latch had been replaced again. The previous replacement was inside the storage locker with the original lock still secured on it. The facility didn't even tell me that my unit had been compromised again. Just an employee called me to let me know there was no lock on there and that was only because The latch had been pried off with the lock still on it. I should have been called when the latch was replaced. I do not recommend storing anything of value at that location.

Went in on a storage unit with a friend for a few of our winter things that were taking up too much room in my apartment. Initially everything seemed fine, it was easy enough to access the unit and store my things, but I've just been back to check on them and in not one but three of my vacuum sealed bags I've found rips and bugs. I don't know how they got ripped, which is weird enough, but I know that there's no way I'm bringing those things into my apartment until I can either wash EVERYTHING with hot hot water or literally freeze them.

Very friendly. The right person for this job. Good listener. Very helpful. Micheal Smith made my visit very memorable. I explained to him I'm a senior and was having difficulty in paying for my storage.He promised to talk to management and management gave me a discount. Now I'm a happy Life storage camper. This was all because of Micheal's customer service skills.Well done to managements for hiring Micheal Smith. He made sure not to let me go but to keep me and made me feel like a valued customer.

This facility has gone downhill significantly since it was recently acquired by Extra Space Storage: for the past three months, there has only ever been one cart available (so, effectively, usually not available), where there used to be up to six; there have been issues with the elevators; and the company has just sent out notification of a 15.8% price increase. Increasing profits and downgrading service makes this no longer the good storage option it had been -- look somewhere else!

Life storage, and especially Michael, namely have always treated me well and been upfront about policies and being very helpful and accommodating. I came to them while other places were driving their prices up unreasonably and have never had an issue, and always paid a reasonable price. Michael is especially wonderful and is always around to help or help you figure out what you need! I haven’t experienced customer service like this at the storage unit before!

Just rented a unit from Life Storage yesterday and was incredibly impressed with the facility. Clean, safe, new, everything you could want. But the most impressive part of my experience was the guy behind the counter. Michael was absolutely fantastic. He was incredibly hospitable, knowledgeable, and answered all of my questions with a smile on his face. Thumbs up all the way around for Life Storage and their front man, Michael!!

Have had a unit here for the last year and a half. Rates increased by over 20% this year. Carts for moving your things are apparently regularly stolen and they don't get replaced for months, so if you need a cart- you are on your own! Company told me the cart was a "perk"! So the rates go up, but we get less service??

Michael Smith is the best manager I have run into since I have been a customer of Life Storage. He’s always so helpful and goes above and beyond his duties. The facility has been cleaner and better operated since he got to the store on Decatur Street. His work ethic me kept me here.

As a first time renter, I was stressed about the process of finding a unit. Michael, the store manager at this location was SO helpful!! He suggested a perfect size to fit all my furniture, got me set up same day. Quick and efficient, 5 stars would recommend Life Storage!

I was happy with my service. I had a 10x5 unit and it stored everything I needed. Michael was a great help. He helped me find a unit and close out when I was done. I recommend this location. Clean and your items will be safe. Will be using them when needed in the future!

Pay $290 a month for a storage unit here, and I was in the middle of moving stuff and staff refused to let me use a bathroom. They have two bathroom but none can be used by paying customers.

Renae and team was great location was clean my unit was clean everything was a breeze renee knew about the property and recommend me a great size unit for my belongings.

this life storage location was recently acquired by extra space storage and they’re increasing the cost of my unit by $55/month for no reason at all. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

It’s almost funny that this place is called Life Storage because when we opened our unit it was full of life! SO MANY BUGS!!! If your gonna rent here bring your Raid!

Unit is full of bugs that are living in and on our belongings. We’ve had to bring our own Raid and clean off every item before moving it out of the unit

The customer service here was great. Renae and team was very polite and helped me find a space that fit my needs and budget. They did a great job!

I WOULD STORE MY ITEMS HERE. Management is very bias. Please go to another company. Since Extra space acquired life storage is totally useless.

Units have bugs. You will come back to find all your stuff absolutely infested. Management doesn't care. Terrible experience.
