I had my stuff stored at this location for over 4 years, before Doug was manager. I flew in to take care of my storage and send it in a U pod back to where I now live. They sent me letters in the mail of any changes that were going to occur. They are reasonably priced and moving out was a breeze, moved my things out and Doug got the paperwork for me to sign and it was done fast. The only issue I have with the facility, and this could be how all storage places do it, but I flew in to AZ. to take care of storage and unfortunately had a lot of things to throw away and we cannot use the storage dumpster and I didn't have a car and limited space in my U pod and no friends in AZ anymore but luckily someone was able to help me take it away. They have been and still are making changes to the facility for security and appeal. I was surprised when I went in and everything was nicely painted and their was the new manager Doug (new to me cause haven't been there in 4 years) but he was nice, and the units had new locks instead of the old one mine still had which is hard to push into place to put my lock on it. I will definitely recommend this facility to anyone moving to phoenix and anyone in phoenix that needs a storage unit. I loved how secure my stuff was because mine was through a locked door that needs a code to get in and then there is also the lock on my unit

After an unexpected move, I was looking for a reasonable Storage unit with a reasonable move in rate. I called 5 Storage Facilities and ALL were nearly $80+ just to move in. I then told myself to try and find one more. Uncle Bob's appeared. I spoke with a very friendly and helpful young lady in reservations. She offered me and great move in rate. I even changed my initial reservations date and still was offered the same rate. Upon arrival, I met with a young man name Doug. Very professional, knowledgeable and friendly. Doug took care of all my concerns and carefully explained to me my Contract. In addition, all important Storage Facility "need to knows". I feel very comfortable using Uncle Bob's for my Storage needs. Very neat Property, clean unit, and awesome Staff. I was a little hesitant to give a review because good Storage Facilities are hard to find and I didn't want everyone knowing about, one of Phoenix's best kept secrets. It was the easiest storage facility to rent, to make arrangements and to move in. The staff are excellent in customer service and they are so very helpful. The storage is very clean, safe and well taken care of. The staff are very helpful in any way and when we moved our stuff into a storage unit, the staff supported us in every way to where it was not stressed at all. I love the home page, the way we can make our payments and or reservations if necessary. No stress at all and the staff is so helpful and laid back and extremely nice. I would recommend this place to all who needs a storage unit for a shor time or a long time. The people are the best I have ever known and trust me I have seen a lot of different storage places, and these guys are number one to me and I have told many many people about Uncle Bob's self storage and they also agree with me. This is the only storage facility that I will ever work with. I know my stuff, no matter how much I have, will be safe and secure. That is one less headache I have.

What a great place to store some extra odds-and-ends I had laying around. I moved from Arizona to Texas for an extended period to attend collage, I left almost all my worldly possesions at Uncle Bob's on 35th Ave and Camelback for 2 years and everything was exactly the way I left it when I finally returned. I never had any issues which was a relief as I figured over 2 years at least one problem would have arisen. The price was good and I didn't get slammed with a rent increase at all in my 2 years as a customer. The manager (Doug) was always friendly and knew who I was even after being gone for such a long period of time. I feel I received personalized service and good quality. I didn't have any issues with bugs in my sofas or beds or any other annoyances at all. I would recommend Uncle Bob to my family and friends - even my little old grandma.

Love Doug. I have been here for about 2 years, each time I randomly strolled in to pay the rent rather then over the phone or on the computer I receive "Hello, Miss Joyce long time no see. How are you and your family these days. we are glad to have your business. My last visit I was trying to load some large items, and Doug came over and helped me with a warm smile and genuine need to be of assistance. I find the location lean and well maintained, and even have given tips on new cleaning products I have found to help with the hard to do jobs. Doug has thanked me after trying them and finding it does the job. When I no longer need the storage some day, I may just still drop by to have a nice uplifted hello, and friendly smile. Now, That's customer service.

Be careful storing your things with Life Storage. This company baits you with freebies and low rates and then, 3 months later, they begin increasing the rate. As of today, 8/8/2020, they are now charging me -more- than I was paying in Southern California. They notified me of the rate increase via email today, the day my payment is due. This is a crooked, bait and switch company taking advantage of the fact that it might be too much trouble for me to move my stuff. Because I refuse to do business with an unscrupulous company, I -will- have my stuff moved to a company I've been referred to that runs an honest business.

First off let me start by saying the property here is very clean and I felt very secure in having my belongings stored here. Advertised with my storage unit was a free moving truck however when I arrived I was informed that there wasn't a truck available but they resolved the issue quickly, sent me to their sister store located off of 83rd Ave., and extended my free mileage 25 miles. My move was quick and easy. I would most certainly recommend this place especially at their price offered monthly. Thank you so much for the excellent customer service, quick resolutions, and having a clean & secure facility.

there are several reasons we're all giving this location FIVE STARS! but the main one is doug. yes, the location is clean, well lit, and i never worry whether my belongings are safe. i'll admit to being lax about checking on my stuff, but even after several months undisturbed, there were no critters in my unit, no foul smells, and very little dust, but again, it comes back to doug. from appearance to knowledge and professionalism, he ticks all the boxes. keep up the good work, and know we appreciate your dedication.

On the day of my move the code I was given did not work. No one was in the office and I was not able to access the storage unit. I paid movers who came with a uhaul that I had to turn away and pay AGAIN for them to come the next day. This was completely unacceptable. The person I spoke to on the phone was not able to buzz me in or provide a new code. I spoke to several people that told me this is a know issue. 0 stars for the inconvenience and the extra cost I had to pay movers to come again the following day.

I really like this facility. The rates are comparable and the office has plenty of moving/storage supplies for sale. The loss of star is due to the fact that you are immediatly locked out on the 2nd and charged a late fee as well. So it's a very short Grace period. Also if financial troubles hit and you go over 30 days there is no past due payment. The full two months plus late fee be are required. Things happen and most be other facilities understand this.

Best storage unit experience we have ever had. We are a military family and have had doesens of units over the yeas. Life Storage is by far our favorite yet. Their customer care is on point. Very caring and I was confident my stuff was safe while it was there. From us changing dates to loosing our keys they supported us the whole way. They treat you like family every step of the way. Clean and secure storage. I closed my shop after 14 years and needed 3 air conditioned rooms for my vintage clothing collection. Doug helped me find the best units for my needs. No critters and always kept swept clean. I see Doug and the others making their rounds often to check on everything. I have worked many hours there alone and have never felt uncomfortable. Doug and Judy was so professional and the move in process was quick and easy. A safe hidden treasure on the west end. Felt great knowing my stuff will be safe here. Moved in after 7 and this place is well lit and bright. My unit was located inside the AC building and it's super clean and secure. Doug made sure I realized how everything works and even offered a free moving van to use to get my belongings here in one swift move.

I have been working with Dinora for years now with storage spaces for our facilities department for the neighboring university. She has always had a positive attitude, a willingness to help out as much as possible and accommodates to our needs to the best of her ability. First of all, let me say this is the best place to store with! Very well maintained and great management! Me and my buddies took up a 10 x 10 AC unit, and it went great to keep all of our stuff safe from the Arizona summer heat. Inside there are also dolly’s available to help move things in and out of the unit. Best experience OVERALL is because of Dinora!! She was always welcoming, LOVE HER AND HER ENGERY!

Reasonable rates, very clean property, easy rental and payment processes, including being able to pay your bill at ANY LOCATION, and gated too! Doug was the best! It was my first time using a storage unit, I was a little scared and nervous but he made it easy. I got a great price offered me truck rental and even gave me late access to bring all my stuff in. I've stopped by several times to pick stuff up and the place is always clean, Life Storage has honestly made me glad I chose them.

I stored my car and personal belongings at Uncle Bob's for four months while I was out of the country. Never once did I worry about the safety of my things. The units are very fairly priced (best I found), and clean, the security is well maintained, and Doug and Paul are so helpful and friendly. Definitely recommend their services!!

The experience i had working with this storage locker was outstanding. The store manager "Dinora" is very helpful and dependable. For example, one of our shipments wasn't picked up from the storage locker by the courrier, but Dinora called us the next morning and took care of it. Amazing!

So convenient and easy! Location is about a two minute drive from GCU and the set up is great. Very secure and clean with lots of security cameras and a gate that requires a code to enter. Would definitely recommend!
