With everything that happened during the day they took us to a kids ward to wait there it was around 5pm and she was going in at 8 pm that too delayed she ended up going at 9pm, she was done by 21:55 to put a plaster and I was told to wait for 1 hour before I take her home so at 23:00 I phoned my husband to come fetch us and we left. The next day we paid all the doctors that we were supposed to pay. A year later they phone me telling me that we owe them money for admission and I am like but the baby was not admitted, so they asked that we send an email with every detail of what happened on the day, we did that but no response, few months later I received a call from debt collectors imagine you have been handed over by Crompton hospital bla bla bla, we contacted the hospital again, we were told they’ll resolve it and give us feedback, till this day I get phone calls and messages that I owe the hospital. When i left that hospital that day I was torned apart because of the service I received there and I thought after few weeks until my baby removes the plaster I will never ever have to mention Crompton ever but no. Dr Grootbroom was the best, he treated us well throughout all our visits there but the rest STILL WAITING FOR SOMEONE TO CALL ME AND RESOLVE THIS ISSUE THE LEVEL OF NOT CARING SHAME.

I was there for 2.5 hours (still better than a government hospital though) my BP was checked and i was assisted within 5 mins and i waited, only in the last 20 mins a doctor saw me to put 7 stitches in my finger. They took long since they told me there was an issue with opening my file. They did not tell me how to care for my injuries (a huge dent type wound in my foot from impact) but only told me to come back in 14 days to remove stitches. The nurse just wrapped my foot in a bandage with muscle ointment. I got an infection in my foot a few days later when the bandage was off since I was not told how to care for it so i went to my GP (assisted in 5 mins and left by 15 mins, with 3 people assisting with all friendly smiley faces too) and he said firstly, stitches should not be in for 14 days and even on day 12 he said they should be removed already so he took them out. Secondly, why didn't i get told how to look after injuries to prevent infection (great question). I mean Crompton Hospital wont leave you for dead but they highly overated and not really that friendly. If no medical aid its R1600 just for a deposit to see the doctor though. R1800 for 7 stitches. Next time ill travel the extra 15 mins for my GP (who charged me R300 for a visit, antibiotic injection, antibiotics and pain tablets and waaaaay better service). I was just worried i was going to lose a finger so i just went to the first medical facility i was 2 mins away from at the time. Not really the best experience for my first time at a private hospital.

I would like to share my pleasant experience at The Crompton Hospital in Pinetown and my Gynecologist is Dr Wendy Dlomo. Wow! that lady is one of the best and humble Dr you can have and interact with. Since from day one finding that I am pregnant she was amazing and caring at the same time. She would even go extra mile to assist me and my husband. I would like to say thank you Dr Dlomo for helping us in bringing our baby girl in this world. She is now 1 years old and I will be forever be grateful for your amazing work. Not forgetting the nurses at Crompton Hospital they all are so kind and caring. I even felt like I am at home. I Did not want to leave the hospital. Loved everything. The hospital is clean, their food is wonderful and taste so good and not forgetting how the nurses are taking care of our little ones. Thank you guys you are the best. Continue with the wonderful work.

So very dissatisfied and disappointed. My sister was there to give birth. Treatment was terrible. When I came to see her and the baby she couldn't wait to get out of there and go home, we went back to get her car, say when she sees the hospital she get traumatized. To get this treatment especially women to women is more than sad. The only ppl who truly appreciated their work was the kitchen staff and the doctors . "The first time I felt how it feels to be different from other races", was her words. I appeal to the hospital to make sure that everyone is treated the same, some ppl don't write reviews or even go complain to management but they notice everything. Ver

Public hospital treatment. I am disappointed on how my husband has been treated in relation to visiting our infant daughter. The current paediatric ward visiting hours are outside of his working. He was asked to leave while I was still giving him an update on her condition. What makes matters worse is that when he comes after work, that's when I get to wash and sterilise baby bottles, bath and do other things. It honestly doesn't not make sense why a parent would be limited with a child admitted. I don't even want to write the deeper stuff that we have experienced but looks like I will be forced to.

Poor service: This is an excuse of a private hospital. I was admitted yesterday 1/8 and I’ve only received painkillers once mind you I didn’t sleep because of pains. Yesterday, while I was in pain staff members were talking about their personal stories in the ward. I was admitted at 17:00 and finished the whole process of admission @ 18:15 but only received painkillers at 22h00. I literally had to ask for a glass of water. I swear going to a public hospital is actually better than going to Crompton. The worse part of it all the even when you press the nurse buzzer button it doesn’t work .

Firstly, my gynaecologist Dr Pillay is literally so amazing with his patients, he ensures that you’re all the time. I’d definitely recommend him any day! The nurses at the maternity ward are phenomenal, they are so friendly and gentle. They’re always ready to assist at any given hour, you’re never worried about your baby cause you’re at ease his in good hands. The staff who serve food and help with cleaning are also so lovely. All in all, everyone here is exceptional!

It's the first time I had to use a private hospital in my life and I have to say I was very impressed. My 13 year old son underwent surgery in Jan 2022 at Crompton and every single person that we interacted with was so friendly and so helpful...from reception to nurses, to Dr's, to cleaning staff and even the porter......They were so good to us....tried as best as they can to make sure we are comfortable and ok....Thank You all for your great service....

Crompton hospital is an excuse of a private hospital, the only thing that qualifies it as a private hospital is because they charge. The staff has very poor work ethics , absolutely no manners or respect for patients . Gossip gatherings and noise are the order of the day . I honestly am appalled by the service they give to their patients , you might as well be at your non paying local clinic and deal with rude nurses, but at least it’s free

I can't believe what I experienced in this hospital, from food to cleanliness to care not provided I was unbelievably shocked! To top it off they brought into our ward a toddler with whooping cough and I unfortunately got it as well I'm so sick as we speak and can't breathe. I was so disappointed I could not even hold their pen to feedback before I left. I only went there because Westville had no beds, NEVER again. The Dr was great.

I would like share experience being admitted at Crompton hospital. The nurses as well as the cleaners and porters were absolutely friendly and amazing. The nurses took such good care of me and always saw to my needs. I was always treated with care and i was even given my own private room where they checked on me constantly. I would highly recommend Crompton hospital. . Thank you A Ward.

This is the fifth time I have been to this hospital and have never had cause for any complaint. The staff are friendly, the wards cleaned on a regular basis and bathrooms are spotless. The meals have improved considerably. One must realise that a hospital is not a hotel and if one is able to tidy up after themselves it would be a great help all round.

  • Nana Mkhize

I’m soo disappointed, honestly speaking Crompton Hospital has lost its value, the service is very bad, especially at the casualty/emergency. The nurses there they are all useless, I spent almost 3 hours waiting to get my son’s results, there’s no doctors, we’re just sitting there watching them modelling infront of us, this is unacceptable.

  • Brody Galvin

I was bit by a dog and had to go to the emergency department to receive injections in the bite and in my arm. I was disgusted when the nurse and the doctor had no clue what they were doing. All I needed was two injections and that took 6 hours and that’s without the waiting. This is shocking.

  • Rishaad Naicker

I had a very bad allergic reaction to something I ate last night. I was rushed to Crompton hospital and the staff and nurses/ doctor was amazing. Immediately I was attended to. Thank you so much to the staff at Crompton. You guys are great. Keep it up.....

  • Lungile Mthembu

Honestly one of the worse hospitals I've ever been to. It's too noisy the nurses are not professional. They are not clean at all my son and I spent six days in that hospital but not even once did I see someone cleaning the toilets. The beds

Very bad hospital for emergencies especially at night. I was bleeding from a laceration, the nurse just asked me to sit but nobody came to assist me, even in making me a file. After 20 minutes, I decided to leave and visit another hospital.

  • Phindile Mlotha

I received great treatment at NICU and Maternity Ward. The hospital is very clean, the food is delicious and they're professional. Just that the security guards are not so much, they make you feel like you're there to rob a bank.

  • Cayla

ER is a joke! This is not a sloth sanctuary, it's an emergency room! Firstly as a single mother I do not appreciate your staff telling me my 3yr old is not allowed in the hospital with me - where do you suppose he stay? Home

  • Londiwe Mdletshe

I was admitted on the 29 April 2021, Thursday. My experience was wonderful this time. After Theatre, I was observed by Caring and Loving Nurses. Big up Nurses ❤️❤️ Sorry, I don’t remember their names.
