I had worked with Jason (as a customer) some years ago and was delighted to learn he was back in the Twin Cities. Although I couldn't have been more pleased with the two necklaces he'd made for me before, and have received so very many compliments on them, the intervening years have obviously taught him even more. When I told him what I was looking for a (sapphire) pendent with a short chain), he informed me a vendor he liked was in town and he could get me some pieces to look at---no pressure. Well, of the three I looked at, I fell for the same one he had :>), though there was still no pressure. He was very generous with his time and experience as we discussed how to set it to its best advantage. The costs were all clearly stated, along with alternatives and their costs. I told him of my arthritis and subsequent difficulty with fastening chains (especially short ones) and he found me one I can easily fasten that is also perfect for the stone and the setting. He has also resized rings for me and performed some excellent repairs. These days it's difficult to find anyone who is willing and able to produce anything with this level of craftsmanship, much less dedicated and personal attention. Jason is incredible! He listens, is a master of his craft, and has an easy way of conveying information to help him build custom jewelry that reflects his clients. He also has the incredible ability of breathing new life into heirloom jewelry/jewels. My fiance wanted to use his grandmothers engagement and wedding rings and create something that reflected where we have come from and where we are going. Jason created a beautiful ring that is timeless. He worked within a time restraint knowing that I was leaving the state for residency, he not only crafted the ring, but also got it sized and assessed within days. He spent time with me teaching me about the ring and how to care for it and suggested I bring it in every 6 months for cleaning and to check on the jewels. I met Jason well after the ring was created and when I walked in to his cozy studio in Linden Hills I was welcomed by someone that felt like an old friend. I am excited to see him again soon, catch up on the really interesting projects he has going on, bounce ideas off of him about wedding bands, and of course have my ring buffed up! He is truly gifted. I took a very important and valuable necklace to Jason to modify, so it could be more of a wearable style. I was nervous because the item had a lot of sentimental value (came from my grandmother). Jason proposed a design, and we went back and forth on the specifics of it. He showed me the item mocked up at a couple different stages before finally putting it all together. This allowed us to achieve agreement over every detail (he thoughtfully considered my suggestions/requests), and alleviated my own nervousness about what the final product would be. He also took time to find attachments (extra chain and closures) that matched the necklace, so it didn't look "modified". The final product was just as I imagined/hoped! I recommend Linden Hills Jewelers very highly for your valuables (valuable in terms of cost or sentiment).

Jason worked on a custom project for me - he melted down my mom's original wedding band in order to make mine, and it turned out wonderfully! It's high stakes to have something sentimental like that, and he made very sure that expectations were clear and I was getting exactly what I wanted. After he made it, he even let me wear it for a while to see how it fit with my other ring, and then come back to make adjustments. He was also careful to tell me how the different metals and shapes and whatnot work together so that I didn't ask for something that would end up being poor quality or not last long - things I totally wouldn't consider. I love how it turned out and feel really good about the whole process! TL;DR - Jason is super skilled, easy to work with, and I highly recommend him for custom projects!!

Jason did an excellent job resizing my ring I would definitely recommend coming here for any jewelry needs that you may have. I have a very delicate ring that needed to be resized to be smaller. This can be a difficult project that most Jewelers would not want to take a chance on. Jason did an amazing job on a Christmas gift for my father - artwork on a custom knife I'd had made - and I wholeheartedly recommend his work. He clearly cared a great deal about doing it right. He and I spent probably 30m or so (for free) drafting, sizing and outlining the art to be done. He sent me mockups and ideas prior to executing any of the work to make sure it lined up with the vision I had in my head. After spending quite a bit on the knife itself I was worried about getting the engraving perfect and he did not disappoint. It blew me away and was a big hit with my dad. I went to Jason with my grandma’s wedding ring. He was an ease to work with. We worked through a design and plan to incorporate the old diamonds on a new band. Jason custom redesigned my engagement ring into a mother’s ring , adding additional stones and melting some family rings together. All had a story, and walking in I was unclear what I wanted. He was an absolute joy to work with. He was so invested in understanding my motivations, my very vague vision for what I wanted to shape the ring into, and he helped translate my ideas into a sketch, then a rendering, then choosing new stones, and on and on . We brought in an old family heirloom ring that was likely not pure silver or of high value. The ring was in extremely rough shape. It was no longer round and nearly black with tarnish. I had a very dear string of pearls, my mother's, break. Long. Knots between the pearls. Jason at LHJ has a fabulous pearl stringer (not sure that's a word)! Good as new!!
