I walked in to the shop after having visited some time before to see what they had in stock, and was only a few feet into the shop when I was ordered "Don't move! What do you want?" I said I had come in to see if they had what I was looking for. He responded loudly, "tell me what you want, I will get it for you. Stay right there!". The man who had come in before me told the man at the cash register that he would not be coming in again, given that he had been seen how I had been given "(my) marching orders". Incredibly, I still bought a bag of ice, and asked the oaf why he had spoken to me like that. He said in effect that if I had been in before and had not bought anything that a subsequent visit made me "suspicious". East Indian staff playing extremely irritable, snobbish Caucasians. I would say it is the most degrading treatment I have ever had in many, many years, and I was casually but not inadequately dressed, so I did not merit that kind of imperative instructions. The staff show the grossest possible social retardation, jumped-up Dalits/chai-wallahs from some overpopulated, diseased tropical effluvium lagoon. Multicult has brought a lot of seedy and cheap shops to 149th Street, even with the Lynwood renovation (I have seen needles in a back alley behind houses on this street), the economic downturn shows here, there is a lot of theft from shops here, and store owners are often crass. But the liquor stores in Lynwood are better, offering some selection and more importantly, civility, but even there, customers are "variable" in a bad way. I had to give this place at least one star to post this, but it merits none whatsoever.

The staff were very rude and items were over priced; we realized that by going to another liquor store not far (Stony Plain Road), we would save $12 total on 3 items so we decided to leave. We left one item at the the till and the employee screamed at us and gave us the finger for not returning it to it's place..... My friend, went to the back to ask the owner if he allowed his employees to speak to potential customers this way; owner stated that he did not see what happened...Maybe he should be watching the cameras for the employees rather than literally leering over the shoulders of the few customers that are willing to put up with the prices....There is also 1 good review on here that is BY the staff.

I have been a regular customer at Liquor Way store for Years . I asked a Staff member why all the Fort Knox type security Hardware being installed ? He said the Thieves /Shoplifters are making it almost impossible to Run a Store in Normal way . Apparently the Store has been bombarded and Ambushed by Shoplifters over the Years , which left the Calgary Owners to either put up Security Measures or have the Store Close . It is a shame and frankly Disgusting that Society has come to this level of degradation. The Big Box Stores are having the same problem , perhaps even worse . Unbelievable !!

I made an order on ubereats for pick up and once i got there he said he didn't get that order and said he doesn't know what ubereats is. I tried showing him it was in progress then he told me to get out of his store. Once I got home it said the order was completed but I never got anything. Update *I called him and told him how I just came from there and how he tried saying I canceled my order and I told him that it says it was picked up now and now he switched up his story and said yes uber eats driver picked it up. Before he said I canceled it.

my father walked into the liquor store and had his walker and was refused entry into the store ...the employee was rude and not considerate to someone who has limited mobility ...if this store is going to refuse entry to people with walkers there should be a sign in place instead of having a disrespectful employee making my father feel this way...from the way they treat customers clearly they dont need to make sales or money because my father will not go back and buy from this place again...nothing but rude amd inconsiderate staff

This is a great little shop! I'm a big fan of craft beers, and they are always bringing in new stock and yummy things to try. They have a great selection. If they know you like something, they will make their best effort to get it in for you. I like the staff- always friendly and kind, and I've tried a lot of new things on their suggestion. I recommend this shop wholeheartedly.

Not impressed. My friend slipped and fell on the ice on their sidewalk. The bottle he bought was broken after his fall. Not only did they not care about how he was doing they wouldn't even give him a discount on another purchase.. $60 loss . .. . ...

They block the rum isle and you have to ask to go in. Uncomfortable store to be in. I've been here four times in the last two months. Not friendly staff either. Even though only two blocks from home, not going back anymore.

HORRIBLE first visit at this place, lady working at the front was really snobby had to tell her “her customer service needed work” and I’m glad I’m half deaf so I did not catch what she said back. 10/10 rude never again.

Good store always clean and organized with tons of selection that most stores dont carry. Staff are friendly and cool not to mention always good looking people working there.
