Nestled in the heart of Edmonton's river valley, Little Brick is a cozy and visually stunning café that offers a unique and welcoming ambiance. With a delightful combination of rustic charm and modern aesthetics, this café is a true hidden gem that captures the essence of a perfect hangout spot. Upon stepping inside, I was immediately captivated by the enchanting atmosphere that Little Brick exudes. The eclectic furnishings, exposed brick walls, and warm lighting create an inviting and comforting environment that makes you want to settle in and savor the moment. The outside patio is equally enchanting and a wonderful hangout place for those with furry friends. One of the highlights of my visit to Little Brick was their delectable bagel and London fog. The bagel was freshly baked, boasting a perfectly chewy texture and a golden, slightly crispy crust. It was topped with a generous amount of flavorful cream cheese, satisfying every bite. The London fog, a classic British beverage, was expertly crafted with a harmonious blend of velvety steamed milk, aromatic Earl Grey tea, and a hint of vanilla, creating a comforting and soothing experience. While the food and drink at Little Brick were undeniably delightful, one minor disappointment was the limited availability of pastries. I arrived a few hours after opening, only to find that all of the pastries had already sold out. It would have been wonderful to have a wider selection to pair with my beverages. However, this does demonstrate the popularity of their pastries, indicating their quality and desirability.

Ok. So I'm guilty. I've been going to this beautiful haunt in this old homestead in Riverdale forever and haven't told many about it. I guess it's been my go to secret brunch/weekend spot forever and I've not really broadcast it. Not that they need the attention. The place has been busy all summer in their outdoor garden and in their tent. And also packed in their quaint home with its separate rooms. But it's time to share it. The food here is so fabulous and diverse. Not an extensive menu but what they do for breakfast/brunch/lunch is fabulous. Fresh baked goods and savoury warm eats. They have a quaint front area with merchandise. And wonderful coffees! The service is good. No complaints. They're so busy that I believe they are more focused on getting through serving everyone than extending pleasantries...but I'm fine with that. And the space is exceptional...if you can find parking in the neighborhood. In the snow-less seasons, it's well worth a little bit of a walk. Five stars. You won't regret it!

Heard wonderful things about this cafe, but after going there, we concluded that there wasn't anything we liked. Spent $50 for two- 2 breakfasts and 2 drinks. The lattes were bland, weak and non aromatic. The food was mediocre at best; no dish was well crafted nor were the ingredients well paired together. The vegan hash had a couple different ingredients, but all tasted the same/ had the same mushy texture. The little brick breakfast was basic. The biggest issue we had was probably with the cleanliness of the place. The couch had so many crumbs in the cushions. The windows, walls, and even artwork had dust, grease splatters, and finger prints on them. It gave the impression that the entire place hadn't been cleaned in months. The bathroom was very different in "aesthetic" to the rest of the place- it is the only place that didn't pretend to uphold the elegant and quaint facade- the bathroom had the thin commercial neon pink soap, and a pack of toilet paper thrown under the sink in its torn plastic packaging. We felt that no attention to detail was paid towards organizing or cleaning. In every regard, we found that it fell short of what a good and proud cafe would offer.

Was really excited to try out this cafe as I had heard many good things. We arrived around 11am and it was fairly busy. We ordered two breakfast sandwiches with bacon and two flavoured lattes, with tip this was over $50. The extra seating in the side room was full so we sat in the main area by the general store items. The tables and chairs were oddly spaced - the chairs were also fairly uncomfortable but the worst part was the lack of space and people constantly behind you or over your shoulder, bumping into you, trying to grab for items on the shelving. For a $30 breakfast, I could understand it but for $50+, you can get better value elsewhere in the city with an actual served breakfast and no one constantly bumping into you while you’re trying your best to eat.

Amazing cafe in quiet neighborhood. We had a party of 8 people and I expected to wait awhile for a table but they managed to get us a spot with only waiting a few minutes. The service was great and we received our food within ten minutes of ordering. We tried the eggs Benedict/. Breakfast burritos ( one without meat )/ little brick breakfast. Everyone said there food was great. I had gotten the maple latte/ others got the hazelnut/ chai/ raspberry lattes. All were very delicious highly recommend the raspberry latte though because it was by far my favourite. The prices were very reasonable and would definitely recommend if you have never been ❤️

Bf and I went here for a lunch date, I had been here before but only for a drink. To say the least, I was a little disappointed. Paid $42+tip for some very mediocre food. I got the pulled pork sandwich ($16) which was pretty pedestrian, and my bf got the eggs benedict without bacon because it costed extra, but I thought bacon was a main ingredient to the dish so i’m not sure why it’s extra $?? Apart from that, the location is quite cute, located in a quiet neighborhood, and the atmosphere of the cafe is very cozy and warm, and my hot chocolate was good. just expected a little more.

First time at the Little Brick. It is definitely a bit off the beaten path and is a small eatery. Went with a friend for lunch so we could chat a bit so weren't looking for any place too loud. I was pleasantly surprised. The place is small but there are comfortable places to sit. It is a more still type ambiance so no feeling of rush. Our server was very friendly and accommodating and the food was very good. Place was very clean and inviting. Will definitely return.

This place is worth taking the time to write a review because of how good it is. The amount of food thst I got with the "Little Brick Breakfast" filled me up and cost less than what I'd expect for the same amount from other places. Not to mention it was extremely delicious, from the lightly fried tomatoes on the vine to the crispy potatoes to the little sausages that looked like they were made in-house. Delicious! I will be coming back.

so delicious! Peaceful surroundings in the middle of the city. They have tent and patio seating, as well as inside the building. Cappuccino was great and the earl grey tea in the London fog was definitely a star. We had the breakfast sandwich with potatoes and pulled pork sandwich. Everything was delicious and home style. The buns were soft and flaky, paired really well with the fillings. 5/5 stars experience!

Must give rave reviews to this business for a recent birthday my family hosted for me at Little Brick. Excellent food, beverage and waiter service which was above and beyond my expectations! The atmosphere outside with perfect weather was amazing for this type of event. Their outdoor canopy tents worked great for table seating. It was a birthday I won’t forget after such fine service! Big thanks to the team that made the evening so memorable!

Little Brick is a gem, all tucked away in Riverdale. It’s the perfect spot for a pit stop on a bike ride, run or walk through the river valley. Their breakfast sandwich stands as my favourite right now. Adding the thick cut bacon makes it!

This cafe is so peaceful and quaint. Usually a bit busy even on a weekday mid morning which is wonderful to see. They have just enough seating inside if you'd like to stay in for breakfast. We enjoyed it during the summer as well, as they have ample seating outside so you can bring your dog and sit outside as well. Perfect spot to access off of the bike path too if you're traveling by that mode.

Stopped by Little Brick the other day. For once it was a little slow. Usually it is very busy. However, on this day, we were able to find a place inside to sit. The atmosphere was inviting and we had a good stay while we drank our coffees and hot chocolate and munched on a giant chocolate chip cookie and scone.

It was the best place in Edmonton for the eggs Benny. Unfortunately it's not anymore. Last couple of orders the eggs were overcooked, almost hard-boiled. So sad... But coffee is still good and the staff are friendly. It's a nice and cozy dog-friendly place, I really enjoy being here. Hope they can make that amazing yolk-running eggs again!

The atmosphere at the little brick is amazing. The outside seating on sunny days is beautiful. The food was a solid 3/5. The turkey wrap barely had any turkey in it. The vegan hash had too many tomatoes and not too many of the other ingredients. The service was decent.

This is one of my favorite places to eat in Edmonton and easily one of my top 5 favorite restaurants. The food quality is fantastic, portions are great, and the staff are very friendly. It’s located in a quiet neighborhood which adds to its charm, but because of the location parking might be limited. Definitely check this place out if you’re ever in town.
