We went to the Little Shop of Horrors on Halloween Eve 2021 after ringing twice. On the first call, I was told they were set to shut at 10:00pm, and that if the store was quiet, they would be shutting early. The call was rushed along when I asked about range, and I was promptly told to come in and see for myself and the call ended. After ringing back, I finally got a chance to speak and tell the worker that I lived far from their shop and therefore wouldn't arrive until around 8:15pm. The employee then assured me that the store would be open to at least 8:30pm. After we managed to arrive early, around 7:45pm, we were curtly greeted and told to be quick as they were "shutting soon". We had a look around, all the while more customers were arriving. The staff still were unenthusiastic and complained overtly and repeatedly to one another about their fatigue and how they couldn't wait to close the shop. While looking at costumes, we were told multiple times not to touch the outfits, despite the racks being packed closely, and some costumes being crowded between others. The costume hire price was definitely higher than it was lower for most outfits. Consistently, the prices labelled were high enough that they seemed more suited to be an outright purchase price. The unobliging customer service made us feel unwelcome and rushed. Our overall experience was disappointing and subpar.

This place is beyond awesome! Even from the outside you can see all of the love, effort and time that has been put into this store. Walking inside each little department has their own sign and themed area decorated to match. If you love to dress up, or even if you're just a movie buff, you will not regret coming here! The staff are so wonderfully friendly and answered any questions I had. They were even decked out in their own costumes from the store since it was Halloween time. I hired one of their more expensive costumes (pictured) and not only did it fit super awesomely, it came with everything! (styled wig, bouquet, veil and gloves) I honestly would've just been happy paying the hire price for the dress, especially with the wonderful condition it's in! And the quality! I sincerely cannot recommend this place enough and will be coming here for years to come

My wife and I recently hired costumes from here for a 1920’s themed birthday party. We were both blown away by the excellent customer service from the owners. From the minute we walked in the door we were greeted with an exceptional experience. They took the time to sit down with us and understand our requirements and guide us through to help find great costumes that were of excellent quality and authentic. We loved how the shop is set up with themed rooms. The Great Gatsby room provided the perfect atmosphere to get us into the vibe of the 20’s. It is all about attention to detail with the lovely owners and they certainly live up to that, making sure we were equiped with not only great costumes but the perfect accessories to match. I might add that my wife looked stunning in her outfit too. Thanks ladies and keep up the fantastic work.

Your store was seriously the best retail experience I've had in my life and every single corner and walkway was an adventure! We set my son (11) up for a wonderful jump scare in the red light section with the box head woman & Pennywise. Not only was everything in store just amazing and so well planned out but every single staff member was absolutely amazing. Everyone was super friendly & engaging but also just allowed us to enjoy the experience of your store without pressure Thank you for creating such an amazing experience from the greeting at the door to the moment we left. We'll certainly be making trips out specifically to visit your store in the future as a couple of "eldar goths" who got to transport ourselves into kidult mode immediately! Cannot recommend Little Shop Of Horrors more!! Whether your a legit cosplay/makeup artist to the average person looking for a costume for a party, they literally have it all. As someone who does cosplay/SFXmakeup regularly the staff have been SO damn helpful in helping me bring my creations to life! I was just meant to be a silent tagalong while my wife & daughter shopped for Halloween but boy oh boy was I blown away by this small business. While this gem of a store has one of the best and broad ranges of all things spook & costume, it's the store experience that had me from the onset. Like its own little ghost & ghoul tour with nooks and crannies to take you on an adventure that has you wondering if you'll ever make it out, or want to! On top of the great experience, the two lovely owners are only too eager to help or stand back to let you browse. Perfection. Absolute perfection. Well done on an absolute cracker of a store! Can't wait to come back and become a regular.

Had my daughter and her friends do a Harry potter/wizard workshop with these guys. Amazing. Kids were so engaged and had a ball. They were so good with the kids. Also, there shop is something to behold. The pride,passion and detail that has been put into it is evident. They have anything and everything from costumes to pop culture/movie products and even the macabre. We go there every Halloween also as it is an experience in itself. A one stop shop for any costume party needs,only stocking genuine top of the range products. A massive thanks to the girls for making my daughters birthday one to remember.

I walked in and I was blown away with my experience! It definitely brought back great memories of my childhood, it was a labyrinth of all things fantasy, everywhere you turn is a passage to a different experience. You do this while you shop, the idea they have come up with is so unique and simply amazing! In all my amazement the service they provided was second to none, they were exceptional and assisted me outside of their regular trading hours! Hey guys thank you so much for all your help getting our amazing outfits together. I was absolutely dreading trying to get together an 80’s outfit but you made it so easy. The online catalogue made it easy to see what we were getting and the ability to try it on and have it fitted properly topped off the whole experience. Do yourself a favour and come and see this amazing store. I have never seen such a massive range of costumes. The costumes are completely different to any other regular store it will blow your mind. And everyone who works there are so accommodating between Louise, Alisha, Amy and their salon manager Christian they will not only make the experience fun and enjoyable but they will completely transform you. The most amazing shop - it’s like walking into a movie set!!!! Whether you want costume hire or purchase, pop vinyl, face make-up for costumes or coloured contact lenses. They have themes rooms, which the owners have built themselves. The horror room is completely cool as is the Harry Potter room. They also do kids parties and wand or potion making sessions in the holidays for kids. The sisters who own the store and completely legends and deserve an award for the amazing store they have built!

What an amazing "not so little" store! An amazing shop fit with so many intricate details to browse through. The costume range is the largest I've seen. We brought our son here for their Harry Potter Experience and he absolutely loved it. It was a one on one session with a lovely girl who answered all his questions and reassured him that his Mandrake wouldn't scream when he pulled it from the soil. Not just costumes, with make up studios and other activities. Well worth a look.

Definitely worth the visit! We came just after halloween so they were pretty cleared out, will come back again not directly after halloween. They have a range of awesome movie posters that I havent found anywhere else and some stuff from Wickity Wack too which was cool. The Little Shop of Horrors mural on the store front is enough to visit anyway, that is really amazing! I only wish they had some little shop of horrors things for sale, share they don't.

My partner and I are so in love with this place, every time we go there (which is a lot) is like seeing it again for the first time. The ladies here were so incredible in helping me set up a Tommy Shelby and Grace surprise photo shoot for my partner and it was the most special and incredible experience. I LOVE THIS SHOP. I needed to hire some costumes for a short film I was making, they were so helpful and had so much variety to choose from. This place is seriously fun to explore, and isn't just a tired old costume shop - but a vibrant place with genuinely passionate owners. They also sold all the little accessories I needed as well. The customer service is absolutely amazing. I made two seperate orders online mainly due to indecision, so paid for postage on each order. When I received the order I was absolutely surprised to find the team had sent me a complimentary gremlins pin (for context I was buying gremlins products). That was very kind of you, unexpected and I absolutely love it! Would highly recommend.

Huge selection of costumes for adults and kids. There is the option to rent genuine, retro items from eras such as 70s and 80s plus have your hair and makeup done too. The shop is decorated like you want a horror shop to look like and is all the more horrific during the Halloween season. Lovely shop staff, too, who was happy to help us find what we needed and offered suggestions.

The store is so well constructed and designed, there for all your costume needs. Merely walking around was entertaining, the staff were so sweet and there was so much to look at. My boys had the BEST time doing to Harry Potter potions class on the weekend! I know its a memory they'll treasure forever. There was so much amazing detail and the Hogwarts prefect that took our class was perfection. My boys asked her so many questions and she had an answer for everything they asked! Very weird experience! We walked in on the weekend, wanting to look around, very excited for an upcoming party, and were abruptly greeted and told we would have to book and come back another time. We were talked at instead of to. I understand they may have been busy doing a photo shoot but it definitely left us feeling a little sad.

This place is pretty magical and impressive! The range and the care taken into making the shop an experience is very cool. I went in to look at lacefront wigs and while one lady was very lovely and helpful the other was very rude and abrupt, so much so that it really put me off. The wigs were also not the best quality for the price.

My go to shop for costumes and magic. Harry potter visits... quirky gifts... love love love it. When kids have earned a treat I often throw them in the car and head over there. We never come out empty handed. The girls are amazing and helpful and absolutely phenomenal at their craft. I'm treating myself to a 50th photoshoot.

We can’t thank these lovely talented ladies enough. My niece had her 18th last weekend which was a Disney/ Marvel theme. The ladies at Little Shop of horrors were very helpful and respectful. The best place for all your costume, wig & merchandise needs on the Mornington Peninsula. Even if you don’t need to buy anything it’s a great place to explore (although, how can you resist once you’re in there?).
