This really is, I think, the best campsite in Florida. I love this campground. My family has driven 6 hours to camp here in the fall for the past 6 years and I have so many happy memories of launching flying lanterns, playing on the beach, biking the trails, and hanging out at the playground at night and stargazing. Bathrooms are quite clean for a campground, and water and electricity is available at each campsite. Due to being right on the river, it has a tendency to flood pretty bad, but in recent years they've removed the campsites with that problem. There is a boat launch and dock for those who enjoy fishing and the beach is right down the road for those who enjoy swimming (although also not too far away is this awesome driftwood beach, highly recommend that one) If you're a first time camper be sure to camp here in the winter or late fall, summer camping in Florida is suicide with the heat, humidity, sun, and bugs. But in winter none of that is a problem.
Playground
Small, with a slide, swing sets, and climbing equipment suitable for ages 4 to 17
Restrooms
Great, clean, with showers and nice toilets.

Loved this campsite. Nice and quiet. Not too much road noise after 8:30 pm. Enjoyed the shady tree campsite and privacy of the camp site. Proximity to the beach side of the road was a short bike ride or car ride or hike. Awesome beach! Lots of shells and room to explore, hike or bike. If you have kayaks or paddle boards really nice spot to drop during highline. If not Kayak Amelia is just a very short drive where you can rent kayaks and explore. Loved everything especially the benefit of sunset on the creekside and sunrise on the beachside! We loved the State Park Rangers at check in because they were extremely friendly and informative of what there is to do! Highly recommend!
Playground
Nice. No trees really for shade here though
Restrooms
Awesome! Clean
Dog-friendliness
Dogs are welcome

I chose Little Talbot Island State Park as my destination for my first camping trip in years. I was pleasantly surprised when I arrived. The staff was friendly and informative. I stayed in spot #2 and loved that location. It provided privacy but it was close enough to the immaculately clean bathhouse. As a lone female camper my safety was never in question. The added security of needing a gate code to enter the campground was a plus. The beach was across the road (A1A) and easily accessible with plenty of parking available. I am so impressed with this State Park and will definitely visit again.

I've done alot of tent camping in my time and this is one of the nicest campground I have ever been too. The restrooms/showers were spotless. The sites couldn't get any better and it was amongst the beach, shaded, and by every great camping activity you could think of. I would definitely recommend this as a top camping spot in the country ( currently camping Grand Canyon, and southern utah national parks which dont hold a candle to this campground) Loved it and the staff I interacted with.

Holy cow, MOST EXTREME MOSQUITOS EVER, THOUSANDS UPON THOUSANDS AND VERY AGGRESSIVE AT ALL HOURS OF THE DAY ANF NIGHT. This may be the result of hurricane Ian after it’s been a few weeks but the park should not allow camping when it’s this bad, it was down right dangerous the second getting out at the site we were swarmed, no spray, smoke, rub, candles or anything helped, a child or elderly person could find themselves in peril very quickly out here.

Awesome little campground! Best for small camper or tents. Lots of oak tree canopy and brush between sites. Bathroom was clean. This is site #4. Very private, next to the bathroom and backs right up to the salt marsh(Myrtle Creek). Nice little fishing dock and small launch 2 minutes down the trail ♨️⛺ …

Beautiful little campsite. Close to beach and hiking. Clean restrooms and pleasant staff. It is close to A1A so depending on the site, there’s a bit of road noise. If you’re into owls there was quite a chorus last night.

This place rules. Never seen so many anoles. Amazing little trail through the marsh. Spotless bathrooms and hot showers. Water and electric at the site. Quality map at entrance. Would definitely recommend!!!

Best campsites are 36 37 38. Close to the clean restrooms and the boat launch dock. Park host does excellent job keeping grounds tidy!

Beautiful! It is a crying shame that the folks in Tallahassee can't find the funding to restore the rest of the campground.

Very nice place, nice and quiet. Tree's between campsites. Many moskitos. If late remember too call befor 5 for gate code.
