There was only one board showing the check-in gates for each flight. When we arrived, there was information for some flights, but ours was blank, so we waited. After about half an hour ours was still blank, and we began to feel concern that we weren't aware of anything else on the board having changed. We then walked to the opposite end of the check-in hall, where we found that there was a single, large, queue for all flights, being served by just two desks. We started worrying that we might miss our flight, although, to be fair, it did only take about 25 mins to reach the front of the queue and they did call out for anyone for one of the earlier flights to go to the head of the queue (so hopefully they would have done the same for our flight). I hadn't flown since before the pandemic, and, when we got to security, I would have appreciated signs indicating what items needed to go into the trays. When I last flew, from Manchester, there were such signs. Nor was it clear where we needed to go. We placed our trays on one conveyor belt, but nothing seemed to be moving. I asked one of the staff where we should put our trays. He gestured that he could not make out what I was saying (it was quite a noisy environment). I had to repeat myself twice, at louder volume each time, and then he seemed to believe that I was raising my voice because I was angry, whereas in fact it was because that was what he had gestured that he needed me to do. Apparently there was a problem with the scanner. We stood for some time in this queue, before they decided that they could not fix the problem with the scanner and we then had to join the other queue. We had paid for priority boarding, but were unable to take advantage of this due to arriving at the boarding gate when boarding was already in progress; if we had had correct information we would not have been late. When we were still about five minutes away from reaching the front of this queue, there was an announcement that our flight would be closing "in two minutes". This did not worry us, as we did not imagine that they would stop boarding with people still in the queue, but we thought it was ironic that the one piece of information that the airport proactively gave us was wrong.
Had an absolute nightmare experience with EasyJet. Made us miss our flight, which supposedly went off at 6:45 instead of 7:00AM. Me and my partner was at the gate at 6:20 as the gate was closing at 6:30, and nobody else was at the gate just the two of us. Never had a bad experience with any of the airlines before, I always know when to be at the airport and gates, so this is clearly not our fault. The staff was unprofessional as nobody could guide us with this issue, we were made to feel like we messed it up, yet it was their responsibility to keep the passengers updated with departure times and / or gate changes. Will make a formal complaint to EasyJet, this is an absolute waste of time and ridiculous. If the staff doesn’t know what’s going on or what happened, how were we supposed to know? If we didn’t make our way to a staff member at 6:55 to see what is going on, would anyone tell us? We were at the right gate, the screen displayed our flight with the right flight number also……. Thankfully, a police officer at least tried to help us, because obviously we needed to be escorted out through security again, but after waiting 40 minutes, he came up to us to help us out as he saw us angry, devastated and confused…. Additionally, he had no idea what could’ve happened either and advised us to speak to a staff member and make a complaint. An absolute disgrace!!!!!!!
Some good things and some bad things. The security check is okay, unlike Manchester airport, it runs efficiently here. However, a visit to the departure lounge is not the pleasant experience it once was. Some bars are charging as much as £10.99 for a small glass of wine, a price one man exclaimed ‘should be regulated by the government’. This simply makes relaxing impossible and means that people will not stay. It’s basically just greedflation in its purest form. That being said, if you shop around, you will find that you can have a drink for a bit cheaper, but, be careful of some places jumping on the pandemic bandwagon and only accepting card and QR code. Finally, the airport had removed a lot of public seating to force passengers to use the expensive restaurants. The shops are nice though and JD often has offers and Boots staff are friendly. However, the last time I was there Boots had removed their till in favour of self service only…really sad to see some old people being embarrassed to ask for help, plus it was a nicer atmosphere when there were staff present. I probably won’t bother splashing out at the airport so much from now on.
In spite of the love that people of Liverpool have for this airport; its actually quite small, basic and has little to see. There are no seating areas within the arrival/check in area of the airport. So if you're early to the airport and don't want to go through security yet, your best bet would be finding a seat in either Starbucks or Greggs. The toilets have pretty coloured lights, but they were alarmingly dirty and unkept. Which was surprising considering how they were pretty much the prettiest part of the airport, before going through security. Because the airport is small, the number of services available are quite limited, although there are much more options once you've gone through security. It doesn't help that the airport looks old and in desperate need of refurbishment. The hotels near by the airport include Hilton by Hamptons and Premier Inn. Unfortunately Hilton by Hampton looks old and rundown, and although Premier Inn looks better, it's quite old in the inside. The parking in this airport is pretty expensive, with a minium of £5 for a short drop off.
I have always sang the praises to this airport because it's small and organised so the whole process is very quick and nicely done. But this changed last night. I am a English resident so I am allowed to fly in and out England on my ID card until 2025. Although with the ID card I have to provide what they call share code (a prove of my English residency). On my passport control coming back to England staff told me that share code is not enough and she has to see the original emai I got from government that showed that I have got a resident status, which is absolutely not true! After a few heated sentences exchange she backed down, she was only so cocky because she was training another member of staff which she shouldn't do as she doesn't know how to do her job herself. The experience was very stressfull for me and my partner. I knew I was right as it was not the first flight for me with share code and on my ID card. Overall very unprofessional behaviour from the airport staff. Didn't like it one bit
I booked in tonight for a flight to Dublin and was unable to check in on my phone in time. I was informed when I arrived that I would have to pay an extra £55 for late check in which was extremely frustrating as I couldn’t afford it and have my sisters wedding in the morning. I had to ask people I know to send me the money which was very humiliating but still due to my own error. I was incredibly frustrated but the lovely girl at the luggage check in desk was incredible. She was genuinely sympathetic to my situation and helped calm my frustration. She gave me her name so I could write this glowing review and so I would like to thank Amy for being so sympathetic and helpful in this frustrating situation. Amy deserves a raise for her manner in which she dealt with me and how I witnessed her help others and hope she is appreciated as much as she deserves to be! will definitely raise a glass to Amy at my sisters wedding tomorrow, thanks again, cheers!
Rip off Airport. Charges constantly getting increased. £5 for drop off parking. Double red lines on approach road - £100 charge if you stop, with a white van parked on pavement taking photos of offenders. Free drop off is over quarter of a Mile away- preying on the elderly & people with poor mobility. And £1 for a small clear plastic bag that must 'conform' to the size security stipulates! Extortionate prices for food and drinks at any eatery. Disgusting Rip off overall, and I'm sure John Lennon would really not want his name associated with the airport if he could voice his own oppinion. Beware road bridge charges if travelling south by car. They have to be paid on-line within 24hrs or face a hefty fine. For anyone wishing to avoid the airport drop-off parking charge, then stop on the public main road at bottom of Western avenue in Speke, near airport bus entrance. This is the shortest walk down bus road to main terminal and it's free.
A great airport to leave from but border control on arrival an absolute joke. They sit in their little boxes at an empty area and watch you walk up and down, up and down doing 10,000 steps through the artificial obstacle course they have created. I’m sure it’s for their own amusement……rather than doing their job properly - which is to ensure people exit the airport after checks as quickly as possible. Oh and that was just for the UK arrivals queue - non-UK skip straight to the front. After being treated like a second class citizen at EU airports for being a UK passport holder it was re-assuring to know on my return to dear old Blighty that we certainly will not be outdone by those Europeans as so treated like third class citizens. Congratulations UK Border Control at Liverpool you were top rank out of all my travels in Europe for the most miserable and pathetic experience
Never. Again. Our experience at this Airport was nothing short of a shambles. It seriously needs to get its act together. 1) They lost our baby's pushchair leaving us at the destination airport late at night with 2 small kids, trying to sort it out. Now without pushchair for holiday 2) They had 1 member of staff on for check in/bag drop for the normal queue for easyJet. This was a big queue and they had to keep calling people forward to the front to check in who were at risk of missing their flights due to the wait, very stress-inducing despite arriving in plenty of time 3) I had 1 item I had forgotten to put in a clear bag through security and they wanted to charge me £1 for one of those small flimsy bags - daylight robbery 4) We had a wait for the lounge we had a pass for because it was over capacity. Absolute shambles and I'll do my best to avoid using it again.
Liverpool Airport, while relatively small in comparison to some major international airports, offers a streamlined and efficient travel experience. The standout feature of this airport is its friendly and competent staff. From check-in to security and information desks, the staff consistently provide excellent customer service. Their willingness to assist passengers and their efficiency in handling various tasks contribute significantly to a positive overall experience. While the airport may not have the extensive amenities and services of larger airports, its size can be an advantage, as it generally means shorter queues and less congestion. In summary, Liverpool Airport may be smaller in scale, but its staff's friendliness and competence make it a convenient and welcoming choice for travelers passing through the region.
Reasonable airport, but like all Airport the are profiting businesses, trying to charge extortionate prices for parking. Car rental is a couple minutes walk to the right (when facing the main terminal) from the terminal building (turn left as you leave the terminal). If you have baggage you should lug it to the car rental area when hiring a vehicle. If you wish to drive it back to the terminal you will be slogged a minimum of 4£ just to park a couple of minutes. We parked for a short time to familiarize our selves with the vehicle after collecting baggage and we’re charge 25£ for the privilege. Toilets are modern and well equipped but not well signposted when first entering the terminal building.
500 Airport bus from City centre Liverpool to the airport is now a stopping service - also there are no luggage spaces on these buses so large cases are dumped on seats and in the aisles. THE AIRPORT is easy to get through when compared to Manchester. Smaller and less walking involved. Security are a bit more friendly and professional than Manchester airport. TRAIN: The bus connection to the train station at Liverpool Parkway is a bit of a 'magical mystery tour' - it's not free, it's not always on time and it shudders and shakes it's way down badly potholed roads for around 15-20 minutes stopping at local bus stops. The whole thing needs a re-think.
Put my tools and soft bag through oversize to save any damage on baggage belt and tools not allowed to go with suitcases. Apparently my clothes bag was 1 of every 10 need to be searched which meant all of my clean clothes being put in a dirty tray and searched thoroughly so I had to fold everything again because of the mess. Apparently because the X-ray machine is so old. After unpacking my bag and putting it back in the case in a complete mess i really wasn’t happy. I’ve never had to do this in 40 years of travelling. They then put my bags through the machine that is to old. How’s that work. Absolute joke. Never again.
Liverpool John Lennon Airport is smaller airport in the western part of England where you can find all that you need, including airport hotel. The flexible transport to city centre is provided by bus every 30 minutes. Security check is not that busy as at many airports in the UK. Terminal building is nice, clean and also easy to navigate in the whole building. Most of the flights are provided by low-cost airlines like easyJet or Ryanair, but there are also flag carriers like Lufthansa which provide flights to transit destinations like Frankfurt-Main Airport. For me LJLA is the best airport in the United Kingdom.
Amy on the Ryanair desk saved the day for us in this airport! We missed a connecting flight through Liverpool as our first flight was delayed and Amy was incredibly helpful and friendly. Booked us onto the earliest possible flight immediately with a small fee which was hundreds cheaper than the next available flight. If we didn’t get helped we may have had to travel to Manchester and sleep in the airport. Couldn’t be more thankful for the help we received. All staff in this airport seem very friendly but experienced the best customer service I have ever gotten from Amy on the 23rd July 2023
Bad points = 1. Disgraceful charge of £5 for 5mins in quick drop off car park. Why not free for 10mins and then £5 which is more than acceptable? 2. Very hot in the terminal as if no air con switched on. 3. As expected expensive drinks but not great when the building is very warm. 4. Thankfully we didn't need a £1 clear bag which seems to be a continuous theme. 4. Toilets could do with cleaning. 5. Slow baggage handling on way home. Good Points = 1. Fast security on the way out and friendly. 2. Fairly quick passport control on the way home.
As airports go it's okay. The process through security is efficient and the airport itself is clean. It predominantly flies to tourist destinations, so it's not particularly useful for getting to the destinations I travel to for work. It's also a hub for Ryanair, an airline I still despise. My main complaint lies in how much they nickel and dime their customers. It seems much more expensive than other airports - parking, passenger drop off, food and drink in the airport... They even charge for the clear plastic bags needed for security!
Be very very careful when dropping people off at Liverpool John Lennon Airport the parking fees are an absolute King disgrace £25 for 40 minutes you have to pay by card and then if you're a disabled passenger then try and claim it back through an email to the company absolute disgrace I would not fly from Liverpool airport for this one reason. If paying with cash at make sure you press the receipt button first you need the receipt if paying by Cash. If I could give John Lennon airport no stars I would.
It’s 10.50am on the day of The Queens funeral. The weather is appalling but for once the airport is very quiet, eerily so. No hold-ups. Straight through security and plenty of room to sit for a coffee. The mood of the staff is somber. Our flight is scheduled to depart 20mins after the two-minute silence so I will be interested see how well it is observed. Circumstances dictated it impossible to be in London for the event or it’s lead up. Apologies Ma’am. God bless The Queen. God save The King.
The security staff in particular a large older woman takes great delight in showing her authority. Shouting over the top of the other staff and unfortunately I had my bags for extra security. Said I wasn’t allowed my expensive hair product as it was in a 118ml container even though Belfast had allowed me to take it. My fault though but forget as I brought it over & she took great delight in dumping it. Hope is goes home soon extremely happy with herself when she leaves to go home.
Great until we got to the departure gate. Michelle from Swiss port was over the top with checking baggage allowance and baggage size. She was rude, arrogant and uncooperative. Flight was delayed due to her exuberance. How are bags ok on outward journey not ok on the return. My trolley backpack extended 4" above the sizer. She said she was under strict instructions to check the Shannon passengers. What that about?? People like her ruin short breaks and holidays. Hospitality my ....
Airport is OK.... Better after security.... The easyjet agent at the gate was horrible. She would be better off working in a prison or a drill camp. Look out for a big overweight blonde and ugly easyJet agent. She makes threats about the size of your hand baggage, trying to get you to put it under the aircraft hold. If you don't volunteer, you are forced to pay to take it with you on the plane. Very unfriendly and pushy! Other than that, the flight to Amsterdam was great.
My car was stolen 1 day I booked my parking at Liverpool airports long stay, on my return the car was gone… Think twice on this automatic vehicle number plate recognition as it’s flawed and allows thieves to simply drive your car out of the car park… No systems in place or question why you have booked for 5 days and your cars driving out after only 1 day?? You don’t expect to have your car nicked outside a secure airport with lots of police presence - stolen 23/11/23
Airport is small and quick to navigate through. Security measures are weird - if you turn up at the security scan and have your liquids in a small, sealable bag that you used before, that’ll be no good and you’ll be forced to purchase a specific bag from a vending machine for a £1! Racket. Explain how that improved anyone’s safety. As if air travel is not bad enough for the environment as it is, now we have to create more unnecessary plastic waste because why?!?
This airfield is only after ONE thing : you money. The way the parking extortion, the bag security, the queues are organized is so inhumanly shockingly low-key, it puts the Calabrese Mafia to shame. The average head-shaved track-suit-clad Scally might think otherwise, but if you’ve ever been to a decent Airport in a civilized part of the world, you’ll agree. I’m not only giving you one star, but the middle finger. (I have not approached your shed since 2010.)
Huge thumbs down for their attitude to passengers dropping off and picking up. They force cars into a car park even for a one minute stop with a flat fee of £5. Another huge thumbs down for their lack of water dispensers. I had to Google where they were located (there are two in the entire airport). The one I found is at Gate 3 by the picnic area if anyone wants to know. Thumbs up for the smallness and overall user-friendliness of the airport.
Lots of queues, only had 2 people working on the suitcases so took us 45 minutes to drop ours off. Security took 30 and my bag got stopped even though I had nothing wrong with it. Cafes where nice and no queues for the toilets. Flight was okay and landed on time but they need more people working at the luggage drop off. This is why I'm giving it only 3 stars. Would most likely come back depending on where I'm travelling to.
What can I say..other than what a fantastic service. From parking the car in long stay flexi to a short walk into departures and then straight to checking. No ques!! Very professional helpful, courteous staff.. We were in the departure lounge within 20 minutes. Fantastic service. I shall and will not book Manchester anymore if I don't have too. (Awful Airport) Well done John Lenon Aurport Amazing
On the plus side brilliant airport flights near enough always on time, all staff very friendly and its a quick and stress free check in and security check. The negative is the parking charges what a rip off. I parked to pick up in arrivals waited around 30 mins and was charged £25! Plus the drop off charge of £5. I'm sorry but this is not acceptable, this is spoiling the airports reputation and needs sorting.
Not bad yrs ago, but BEST AVOIDED now. Good departure lounge BUT unpleasant, aggressive and over zealous security. Saw several harrassed faces on passengers stopped with absurdly over-strict enforcement of liquids in hand luggage policy. Rude, officious way of working, bordering on bully boy tactics. Other problem: ureliable bus connections with South Parkway rail stn just add to the wait or make you late.
Being our local airport on arrival it was clean, well staffed and efficient If only we could say the same about our carrier easyjet 18/7/23 EZY 3355 on our outward journey due to an operational mishap we were boarded at the gate then unboarded, then boarded again! On our return journey it took almost 40 minutes to receive our luggage...must do better!! 25/7/23 EZY 3356 and only 1 toilet working?
This airport is disgusting, my son is there now and there is nowhere that caters for people with Coeliac disease. He is unable to eat anything while waiting for his flight. He has been to Frankie and Bennies, Starbucks, Kissing gate bar, Kitchen and Bar, Burger King. None of these cater fro him. I would highly recommend if you have Coeliac disease you DO NOT TRAVEL USING THIS AIRPORT.
I was absolutely appalled when the prices of a 10 minute stop is £5! I took a wrong turn and wasn’t allowed to leave the car park until I payed the full £5 for being there for 2 seconds I just wanted to get a picture of the submarine out front but was unnecessarily charged. it might’ve helped if there was a sign stating I couldn’t turn round please change your Disgraceful prices.
Modern, clean and compact but still with good facilities. Toilets were pretty clean and well maintained. No queue at 6am through security. This is our first flight out of this airport and it has been a pretty good experience. The only downside was difficult to read (in the dark, white on yellow) signage to meet & greet and the postcode THEY provided sent us to the wrong place!
It was better when it had a Wetherspoons. Now the cheapest beer properly punishes people who can just about scrape together enough for a holiday; refreshments, let alone a meal, in the airport before your flight adds significant cost to the trip. Options are poor but the staff in all the places were local legends and are the reason why the rating is not one star.
As a passenger it's a fantastic airport, it's a shame it has limited destinations not to many shops what I find a pro, as a private hire driver I find it terrible that they don't cater for us drivers, we only get 10 minutes in the car park for £5 no concession card offered so it costs us a fortune and not even enough time to have a quick pee or get a Starbucks.
Amazing customer service from Amy at the Ryanair check in desk at Liverpool airport last night around 23:00. After a very long day or delays, cancellations and missed connections, she sorted us out on a morning flight against all odds. All done under pressure with a smile. All staff we encountered while rushing through the airport were friendly and helpful.
Going away for a break was good, the staff in the airport where friendly and helpful too. Before my flight ✈️ I had a bite to eat and drink in the upper crust and it was delicious, went around a few of the shops and got a few purchases along with a bottle of water to keep me hydrated then went to my gate where I waited to go on my flight to my break away.
It’s clean, not too busy, and pretty easy to speed through mid-week. The only downsides are that the facilities are a little on the limited side (not many place to plug in and charge, for example), and the security is as “dehumanising” as every other airport - whether you’re a regular traveller or not! Would I consider using it again for travels? Yes!
To name an airport after one of the greatest musicians ever, and annoying all passengers with load music from the juke boxes, and even worse: vending machines, is a disgrace. Whoever allowed to put up the machines should please spend 2 hours at the airport. It is impossible to find a quiet area to work, or simply have a quiet phone conversation.
The tag line of “Faster. Easier. Friendlier” is a bit of a joke when greeted with a huge line at Passport Control, made worse by the lack of staff helping merge the queues causing chaos as people try (and succeed) jumping the queue. The constant shrill screams of the conveyor belt only added to the fantastic experience.
It's a nice terminal until you head to the easyJet gates which are run down portacabins which are the same temp as ovens. Rest of the airport was also way too hot. Insane bar prices. £13.50.for a glass of prosecco? No. Long wait for baggage delivery depsite being only flight landing at the time. Over all not impressed.
I will always tell anyone (who will listen) about my love for Liverpool airport, I frequently fly to Germany and will always to choose to travel to and from Liverpool airport specifically (despite both Leeds and Manchester being closer to my house). The airport is quiet, comfortable and has the most wonderful staff.
Brilliant, easy to get to with good parking close by. Small but not jam packed, easy and quick check in and quick through security too with no dramas. Good shops and food outlets when passed security too as well as when you arrive. Just far less stressful than Manchester. Will look to fly from here in the future.
We love the airport and we like the drive over to it.There are great carparks, drop off points and hotels all adjacent to the main building. The airport itself is huge, tidy with plenty of facilities to enjoy.Coming back through was easy enough and then your straight out into the main foyer.Cant wait to do it again.
Same as Liverpool John Lennon Airport. This is a relatively small airport which is a good thing in terms of checking in and going from point A to B. Lots of shops and new places still coming up. Security is fast, toilets available at short distance. Bus service to city centre is also great with different options.
I love this airport. Really friendly staff at the shops. Flight destinations a little limited but still provide a good variety of cultural, business and holiday options. The yellow submarine is a little lame. The Hampton by Hilton next to the terminal is excellent. Parking expensive unless you are a hotel guest.
the airport needs some tlc its showing its age now nowhere as slick as Manchester if you come by car and park up its a about a 10 minute walk outside to the departure area (great if it is fine )not so if its cold and wet if you have used a park and ride option it is still an outside walk needs a better system
Great little airport and the Lufthansa flights to Frankfurt open up so many other destinations. Quick and easy through check-in and security. Staff friendly. Couple of places to fill water bottles (one by picnic area, other by gate 12) Airport parking is reasonably priced and walking distance to the terminal
Sooo many good memories here, everyone is super chill and security is a breeze compared to most airports. Lots of places to eat, lots of places to sit and the signage is 10/10. Easily the best airport I've ever frequented and I try to go through here all the time even if it costs a little bit more :)
When the Manchester Airport is just less than 15 minutes of driving away, I still insist on using the Liverpool Airport, so you know how good it is. Very smooth and pleasant departure and onboard experience. Parking is way cheaper than the Manchester Airport. It definitely deserves a 5-star rating.
It is cheaper to park here and less queuing through security but is not as smart as Manchester. Pay your money and make your choice. On arrival back from Jersey after being delayed we had an extra delay because the baggage handling stopped for 45 mins for no disclosed reason which lost them a star.
Just can't give any airport 5 stars because of the ridiculously corrupt prices that are charged for food and drink in them, but Liverpool Airport is one of the easiest and hassle free experiences you'll have. Shame about Easyjet trying to set the new world record for the slowest check in experience
Calm and efficient. Got through security in just over one minute. Much quieter compared to Manchester, but still has a really good selection of outlets. Shame the train doesn’t go all the way to the airport though plus the airport shuttle bus didn’t turn up so had to get an Uber ♂️
A cool little airport that is a good alternative to the crowded Manchester Airport. Security clearance is smooth, duty free shops ok, plenty of food outlets. The markings of the check-in point, gates, etc. are visible and legible. The boarding of travelers on planes is also efficient.
As always, the staff are brilliant. Friendly, warm, professional. From the check-in staff to the security men and women. A nearby airport should come and get some lessons here on how to interact with customers. A smile goes a long way. Shout out to Easyjet crew too, they were spot on.
It’s ok but there is not much in the airport compared to Manchester.Furthermore, there isn’t that mush flights either, not only that it isn’t busy though but also it’s pretty good I like how much shops there is.Moreover there is not that much public transport so I rate it a 4/5 stars.
Usually, they fly from Manchester but decided on Liverpool. Omg 100% better. It is so much calmer, quicker, and more efficient. Better drop-off point too. Staff in security's were very good, quick, and efficient. Overall much better experience than anywhere I've flown from before.
Nice and easy passage through Security and Passport Control to the OTHER Side and then they have got you !!! £16-40 for 2 Pints and a Bag of Crisps (£1-89). Scandalous but to be Fair Liverpool Airport is not the only Airport to Extort people's money whilst they Vacate the Country.
Horrible experience. Check-In woman for Aer Lingus desk 18-19 was rude and made us feel embarrassed and had sly laugh at us with another colleague. Security rude to us and other passengers and pulled one of our bags for no reason. Not nice to see and makes you feel uncomfortable.
A small airport mainly serving budget airlines and it reflects this. There’s minimal services and shops in the terminal, and it can be somewhat spartan but it does it’s job. Definitely less chaotic than Manchester Airport but it’s connections to Liverpool is a bit poor.
Nice small airport. There is Duty Free, but I would like more choice. There are cafes where you can eat and drink. Restrooms are good, a bit dirty. There is a place to sit while you wait for your flight. The staff we met were friendly and welcoming. #airport #liverpool
This is far smaller than Manchester but definitely my choice of a well designed airport. I forgot how good it was and it's been updated now. Through passport control in no time...zero bags to collect , nothing to declare. Home in half the time.
Picking a friend up from here, found easy enough no issues except the £20 (!!!) it cost to park in the short stay multi storey car park for just over an hour!! Bloody expensive and not a sign in sight about the costs involved in parking there.
Very early start, 05:50 flight, arrived 10 mins before check in opened but only a small queue when it opened. Straight through security but then tried to find a breakfast restaurant open, nothing, wait 15 mins!! at both the options. Baffling.
Using the airport mid week and in the afternoon is fairly relaxed, security was empty. I didn’t realise that they charge you for the plastic bags required for liquid products, at the security baggage area they have a machine that accepts £1
This is the worst airport I have ever been. First of all they do not provide free liquid bag before the security as other airport does. Secondly, the security guy who is an old white man is very very very very rude. He is the rudest person
Honestly it's a great little airport. Easy to get to (damn the Mersey gateway bridge toll). Parking system is great and the price is reasonable, easy access to the terminal. We did have some IT issues booking it online. Low stress airport.
Easily accessible, Pick up and drop off only from the express short stay car park, do not try to pick or drop someone outside the airport specially on the double red line as it is £100 fine. First 10 minutes is £5 and 20 minutes for £10.
The best drop off/pick up access ever! Very convenient, easy and SatNav does not lose or mislead you into wrong turn etc. So many Airports could learn from John Lennon's Airport. Great car park access and exit, price also is acceptable.
Currently sitting in your departure lounge waiting a long time for a delayed flight. Please tell me why there is no air conditioning on a day when temperatures today are near to 30° best place to be is the WH Smith shop where they have
No problem flying out or back. 1 of our cases went missing after arrival at john lennon. Nobody in baggage handling all closed. Police helped us as cases were jamed at back of carousel were we couldn't see them. Many thanks to them.
Perfect size of an Airport. Had an elderly traveller with us and the whole experience through including security check was really great, and the decent friendly attitude of all staff encountered made it even better. Keep it up.
Passport control very well staffed, passengers passed through quickly. But luggage took 45 minutes to appear, well past the target time and management needed to be involved. A disappointment in a usually well organised airport.
Easygets is dissaster over there. they charge me extra for troly ,that was on the exact mesurement ,they print in advance. And did it 5 minutes before closing airplanes doors. Its unexaptable. It was a bad bad expirience.
Nice airport easy to get to from motorway network. Quick security and checkin. Once inside departures very good range of shops and places to eat. long stay parking has electric car charging points near disabled parking.
Flew out on a Saturday lunchtime in March and returned early morning on a Wednesday. Both transitions of the airport process's were fluid and stress free. Easyjet were punctual on both occasions, which is always good.
One of the better airports in England, fast security checks, water refill spots, plenty of shops and coffee stops. Way above Manchester airport. And last but not least - flight prices are usually lower there too.
I take my client here as he likes seeing the planes take-off and landing, he also likes getting on the buses and so we can be a frequent visitor, staff are amazing and very helpful, and facilities are amazing too
Absolutely the best airport it's faster than most to get through security as they are so efficient and professional. Very helpful and friendly. The best place to fly to and from. Makes flying so more enjoyable.
Small airport. A few shops and a duty free shop. Coffee places and a few bars. Lounge is among the other shops, not separate as such. Security pretty quick as were cases. Car park around 100 yards from airport
Easy to park, quick walk to terminal. There's a greggs on the way in and you pass the same one when leaving...thus great to grab a quick snack. Staff in airport are genuinely helpful and it's well organised
Seamless and with truly minimal queues, from front door, through security within 15minutes. Back again (Sept23) from touchdown to out the front door in under 5 minutes What's not to love about that?
Not the best airport and not the worst. Easy to get to and hotels close by. Bars and shops are limited when you get to departures and the toilet situation is worse. Does it’s job but nothing more.
A great airport. Security a breeze to get through staff are friendly and efficient. The airport it self has plenty to offer for travellers. By far better than travelling from Manchester airport.
Lots of parking options (recommend Imagine Outdoor). Only negative is the charge for clear bags at security. Avoid Burger King as food is luke warm at best. Better options down the escalator.
the airport has lots of seats around, so even if our flight was a bit delayed, we found a comfortable corner to sit on ... few shops, restaurants to spend the time and money
Pleasant experience at LJLA. Quick to check in and through security all in 15 min. However upon arrival the following week there was a delay with getting our bags at baggage reclaim.
Great airport, we travel a lot from here, only reason I gave it 4 stars is because none of the bars sell gluten free beer which this day and age is surprising. Disappointed …
Best airport by far, from check in to security the staff where all pleasant and obliging and a massive shout out to easy jet cabin crew who made the journey to Turkey bearable.
About to fly out today through security no problem met Lauren on the kissing gate bar showed us to seats lovely smiling face just what you need at the start of your holiday...
Great place because it's small and quick to get through. But no water filling station working!! Nice man in cafe filled for us . Say not been working all day. Tea £3.45 !
Brilliant airport . Security very organised and efficient. No big queues when going through security. Restaurants are a bit expensive now. Food is of a good standard.
Arrived here on Sunday afternoon. Not busy. Everything went smoothly. Nice small airport with a good duty free. Straight out and plenty of taxi s and ubers available.
Short stay in the multi storey car park to pick my mate up, found the car park easy to find and use. Also directly across from Liverpool airport with minimal hassle.
Excellent. The staff are so friendly, efficient and helpful. Great job. Its nice and clean. Manchester could really benefit from seeing how Liverpool do it so well.
Great experience, the cabin Crewe awsome and pilots smooth ride, shopping is great, on plane up to 20 per cent off, won't find aftershave and perfumes any cheaper
A very clean and pleasant airport where the staff were friendly and efficient without being officious and harassing. They deserve our thanks and congratulations.
Great airport if you want easy parking and none of the hustle of a large airport like Manchester. Has all the shops, bars and duty free just on a smaller scale
Great local airport, love flying from here more than any other airport, no delays and well organised. Chuffed that Jet 2 will be departing from there 2024!!
