Absolutely terrible. Bought shoes in March. Wore twice. Heel separated from sole. When I went to get them replaced, salesman said he would send to factory for repair. Said he would call in 2 weeks. Four weeks later, I called them. Man said he would call factory and call me back. Never called back. Then when I called again, he called factory and said it would take one more month to repair!! I said this was unacceptable and asked for refund. He said he could not give refund because he had to wait for my shoes to be returned from factory. He said I would have to wait several days and them after shoes came back from factory we could **discuss** refund. I was forced to go to the shop to get refund. Two months, three trips to shop and no shoes. Reminds me of Monty Python's cheese shop that doesn't sell cheese. In all of this, only a cursory apology was offered. Absolutely dreadful customer service and in my only experience low quality product.

After buying a pair of loake tuxedo shoes at the jermyn store - i was pleasantly surprised with a promotion to receive a complimentary belt - winning. i was startled by store assistant Sanjay’s lack lustre customer service when he had put the transaction through incorrectly and therefore informed me i wouldn’t receive the promotion - too bad. When i enquired - he said reluctantly that he could refund the transaction to put the promotion through correctly - it seemed to pain him to offer this. When i explained i was an international traveller and this would put me at a further disadvantage with transaction / exchange rate fees to refund and recharge - he shrugged his shoulders and he / and the manager said “there’s nothing we can do” and walked off. Poor form loake jermyn st. It ruined what should have been a memorable wedding experience.

I have to say that writing this review is really disappointing after so many years of good service and happy feet from always wearing Loake shoes. In February 2019 I returned two pairs to Loake for repair and refurbishment, one pair arrived back safe, and the other see to have been lost at the Loake factory, although after complaining they eventually said they were beyond repair and kindly sent me a replacement pair. However, this was February 6th 2019 and by June 2019 they were falling apart! I returned these to the London Store on Saturday to be told they would need to return them to the factory for inspection! In my opinion good service would have been.. Many apologies sir we recognise these shoes are only 4 months old and immediately on the spot replaced them. Poor Show Loake!

I thank you so much for making my most precious moment so beautiful and comfortable! I bought a pair of shiny leather shoes for my wedding, a handmade shoe of exceptional elegance, style and, on top, very affordable price. This type of shoes in general are quite notorious for hurting your feet I wore my Loake for more than 10 hours, they were so light and my feet next day were as fine as if I was wearing my trainers. I also greatly appreciated the fact that the staff did not urge me to buy, but advised me to take my time to decide and come back. They risked losing money out of respect for the client and this is very rare. Excellent in every way, highly recommended.

Went to the Loake store in Jermyn Street today to buy a pair of black Oxfords with a rubber / dainite sole. After a very informative discussion I left with two pairs (black and conker brown), plus a belt. The sales person Sanjay had a huge depth of knowledge, was engaging at every turn, and at no point made any attempt at a hard sell. He made it easy to make choices thanks to the information and insights he shared, and I left the shop happy and enlightened. Always had good experiences with Loake shoes, so I am expecting the same with these new purchases. Highly recommended.

Incredible service for fantastic quality shoe! I went in store on Friday found the pair of shoes I loved! Problem was they did not have my size in store. I was advised that they will have the shoe brought into the store the next morning!Knowledge of the staff was impeccable. They knew their product and gave me the information I needed without hesitation! I would highly recommend the store and the product. The newly introduced loyalty program for shoes is a brilliantly simple idea that I have not come across before. Well done Loake Shop, Jermyn St. I tip my hat to you!

Gutted. I love Loake shoes and boots and have multiple pairs. I normally buy from Peter Bullocks in Nottingham (which is outstanding) but wanted to visit Loake itself. Based on reviews etc I expected excellent customer service and a good range. Sadly, there was neither. No consultation or discussion re lasts etc when I brought them up, and I felt the staff were quite dismissive and pushy...I wasn't even offered a shoehorn to try the boots on! I still love Loake as a shoemaker, but as a retailer it is sadly lacking.

I had been here once before to buy a very nice pair of shoes which I love. Since moving around the corner it seemed to be a bit different - it was difficult to understand what his recommendations were. At one or two points he spoke rather harshly to his staff (possibly as a joke) and it took forever for me to get recommendations about the fit - the assistant had a different viewpoint to the manager but kept changing her mind. I like the shoes but the service wasn't great!

Bought a pair of classic black oxford toe caps at Loakes Princes Arcade couple of months back (moving/moved to 39 Jermyn St). Excellent service - the salesperson had top notch knowledge and was able to recommend the most suitable "fit" and "last" and the right shoes simply after measuring (and presumably looking at) my feet. Only (minor) negative from the purchase experience was it felt a bit rushed but perhaps it was quite near closing time..

Great quality shoes for decent prices. I especially recommend the 1880 series, they all have Goodyear construction (so they will last forever) and look really sharp. Also, the service in the shop is top notch. You can try any number of shoes you want and they always remain nice, they will also deliver to any UK address for free, which is very convenient if the shop happen to be out of stock or if you're already overloaded with shopping bags.

I bought my Loake Bedale boots at this store almost six years ago. They are worn at work for the 6 colder months of each year and have been re-soled once (send them away to the factory and returned in amazing condition). The service when I bought them was extraordinary; I tried on 6 or 7 identical pairs until the staff were satisfied with the way the perfect pair "creased" correctly. A revelation in detail & service.

Usually an amazing store with helpful staff, however, today was a bit different. Particularly rude, patronising and unhelpful salesperson. Such a shame because the staff have been so friendly and caring in the past. I have read similar reviews about a particular salesperson so I wonder if it is the same one. Hopefully they can work on their attitude and learn to treat returning, loyal customers with respect.

Had the most wonderful shopping experience at their Flagship Store. The gentleman, Daniel, was friendly, knowledgeable and really spent time going through the different options and showed genuine interest in finding the perfect pair of Brogues to suit my day to day requirements. I feel compelled to write about my outstanding experience at the Jermyn Street branch. I dropped by at the end of the week to colour match a couple of shades of shoe cream for my Loake boots. After being patiently assisted by Dave and Sanjay, I was getting ready to pay at the till when Dave mentions "no charge". They absolutely didn't have to do that but they did, so thank you from a happy customer!

I visited yesterday to buy some smart dress shoes. Strangly there are 2 Loake shops opposite each other. I went in the bigger one of the 2. i was served my Leena who measured my feet and was extremely helpful in recommending me styles and bought out several different sizes to try. I never felt rushed or pressured to buy anything which was great. Very happy with my purchase!

The store manager sold me a pair of Loakes a year ago, reassuring me that the 7 he was selling me was the perfect fit for a man with size 9 feet ("they have to pop as you put them on"). I didnt intend for the pop to be my metatarsals. Another friend of mine had exactly the same experience. I'd avoid and spend the money elsewhere.

I bought a pair Loake last year, the laces wear off and I back to the shop to buy a new one. The gent with glasses help me with welcome and replace it for free. This the best service I had since my shoe experience not even other super brand. I will come back for another pair and recommend to friend too. Thanks

Sanjay was outstanding as he helped me navigate my first purchase. He took his time to intricately give me an insight into the different materials whilst allowing me to try on multiple varieties until I was able to get the right pair for myself. The commitment and passion amongst all staff was clear to see!

FELT DECEIVED. Went there today to buy a pair of derby shoes 8 1/2 the guy went to get them and he gave me the shoe after telling him they feel small he said it was a size 8 that size 8 is coming up large ,it seemed like he was trying to sell me anything I felt he was trying to to deceive me just for a sale

I visited Loake this afternoon and the staff were extremely helpful, service was top rate and advice/information was very useful. I selected a pair of Trinity's from the 1880 export range and they are classic but also suitable as contemporary wear. Highly recommend a visit.

Went here to find some shoes for my wedding. Des served me and helped me find the perfect pair of shoes, politely putting up with my difficult feet and trying 5 (!) different sizes! Amazing service and some of the most beautiful and comfortable shoes I’ve ever worn.

Loake make great shoes. We all know that. However, the service here is really good. I had sizing issues and I never felt there was a hard sell going on - try were just interested in helping me get the right shoe, or not at all.

Unaccommodating and patronising staff selling overpriced shoes that cant be worn on a rainy day, take 4 days to 'dry out' and take a month of ripping holes in your heels before they can be worn for a whole day. No thanks.
