After being humiliated by their next door competitor my wife and I went lo LOCALIZA with a lot of aprejension. We needed to rent a Fiat Doblo since it was the only vehicle we thought was large enough to transport my wife's treasures from São Paulo to Ribeirão Preto at a reasonable price. Further, we wanted to rent the vehicle in São Paulo and return it in Ribeirão Preto. It took Localiza's competition over an hour to turn us down by suggesting we were a risk they weren't willing to take. Mind you, my credit card is not from Brazil, it is a US credit card with a $10,000 limit. Their total charge for the rental would have been about R$700 for the rental plus a R$1200 surety bond. As I said, they refused to rent us the vehicle after over an hour of wait. The Lady at LOCALIZA listened to our request, asked for my credit card, explained how everything would be handled and told us the cost. We accepted and they approve our request in less than 15 minutes. We traveled to Ribeirão Preto with my wife's treasures, offloaded everything at our home and returned the vehicle to LOCALIZA's Ribeirão Preto store. The wonderful lady at the Ribeirão Preto Localiza store inspected the vehicle and finalized our trip for approximately R$700, which was less than we had expected. You can bet, I'll NEVER bother going to LOCALIZA's competition ever again. I'm a LOCALIZA faithfull customer from now on.
