There's a very dangerous drop off at the top of the tall slide/obstacle course where a child could fall to their death if they land on their head. The open area at the top is designed for older children to reach out & grab the pole & slide down the pole, but if a small child isn't able to reach the pole, they could easily fall several feet! It looks to be about 10 feet high. I called 311 on 11/13/19 and reported it. They called me back 11/19/19 and said the Parks & Recreation Department will contact me soon.

The park is pretty small & doesn't have any shade (they are building a shade structure this summer) but we love doing the trail that leads to the creek! I suggest wearing good hiking/water shoes like chacos or tevas if you are going to explore the creek. I wish they had restrooms - that's always a bit tricky with little ones.

Overall, the park was a beautiful and enjoyable place to visit. The serene atmosphere and well-maintained surroundings made it a delightful experience. However, the presence of a towel in the kids area seemed out of place and left me wondering about its purpose or significance.

LP is a great park for people of all ages. Playground for the kids, tennis and basketball courts for the older kids and adults, and a big field to do a little bit of anything. There are usually lots of families and kids here to interact with making this a go to free activity!

  • Tiffany Brown

Good park with nearby benches, basketball, tennis, trails and playground. Playground is great but slide is very tall and not very deep, easy to fall over if not careful. There is also a smaller, much older playground on the other side of the park.

  • Alicia Green

Not much of anything. My daughter couldn't even play on the tiny playground because just with two kids and two adults it's crowded. The only cool thing was the lower body exercise stations. Other than that, we will never go back.

Good playground. Has a water fountain for kids, adults, and dogs. Decent shade; average mosquitos. Has a scary tall climbing wall. Has a cool trail behind playground that skirts a creek, but beware sudden 10-20ft drops.

Great neighborhood park. Sometimes crowded and sometimes you have the place to yourself! We especially love the sand/dirt in the back of the playground. I also appreciate that the playground is somewhat self contained.

Usable basketball court, tennis courts and fieldd for other games. Small play area with swings and slides etc. Tables to eat as well. Would have scored higher if it was bigger.

  • Chris Mills

It's a park! Complete with swings, multiple sizes of slides and playsets, basketball courts, covered meeting areas and grills, and tennis courts. 100% worth a visit.

It's a clean park in a nice wealthy neighborhood. The couple times I visited this park, it was garbage free and the people there were very nice.

Great little park. Love that there is a picnic table close to the playground. My girls love the features and riding their scooters there.

The new sunshade has turned this park into a summer go-to. No broken equipment, and typically quiet/empty.
