Because of the pandemic no one from this company was able to visit my home beforehand. However when I ordered the installation of a velux window I expected the cost to cover the installation and the room to be usable. Imagine my disappointment to find that at the end of the job I was left with holes around the window through which I could see the roof, filth was falling into the room from the exposure of the roof and I had no way of opening or closing the window. When I sought to clarify the situation with the owner he insisted that it was my fault for not reading the contract correctly. Apparently if i wanted the job to be finished from the inside i should have also ordered a plasterer (which he offered to supply at additional cost)and if i wanted to open and close the window i had to order a special pole. I explained that I am a 69 year old woman not versed in the niceties of what constitutes fitting a window. He said that he did not consider it his job to explain it to me. I would definitely not use this company again. When I looked at the reviews of this company yesterday there were at least 2 negative ones. I see that these have now been removed I hope that this does not happen to this review.

Simply rude and unprofessional. The person on the phone wasn't too interested the first time I called as it was probably not a big enough job. I gave it another try . I sent pictures of the project and filled forms and after waiting for ages for an appointmet they offered one which they didn't turn up for. They weren't too appologetic nor did they offer another appointment quickly. I waited for the second appointment and they called me on the day to say they are running late. I waited an hour longer and they called to say they're now coming at a later time and when the time came and went,they called again for the same. 2 days wasted waiting for them and when i spoke to the lady on the phone and said i was disappointed with the way they were making me waste my time she snapped "do you want me to cancel?" almost interrupting and showing total disregard for my concern or my custom. She never called again. I felt awful. I am local and wanted to give the work to a local company but they don't care. I'd never get my work done by this unprofessional company. I can only imagine how they'd deal with anything else going wrong with the work.

I’m a project manager by trade and nature. I can let you know about London & Kent Roofing Ltd that I had a quote on the day and time slot agreed. My reasons and concerns for the works were discussed and fully itemised in the quote. The date for the works needed to be rearranged not by me, these things happen, but it was helpfully immediately advised, re-arranged, straight forward and convenient to me for another day. The day of the works the guys had the list of works from the quote, had prepped, was all completed great job, conducted happily, respectfully and advice given on some other questions. I had a collection of small works and I would definitely have them back to quote for the same or bigger jobs – I have no doubt they will come back if any follow up needed, they are confident in their work. They have an office and administration management – appointment, communication, quotes, invoices, guarantees. All round professional when considering quotes and work for my home in my opinion. During the heavy rain at the end of March 2021 the 48-year-old Velux window finally gave up and started to leak. At the time we were still in lockdown due to Covid 19, so it was not possible for Kent and London Roofing to visit the property to give a full quotation. Due to the age of the existing window, it was not possible to obtain spare parts, so it was a full replacement. I was able to take a series of photographs of the existing window and David and Joanne were able to obtain the specification from Velux for the replacement. Although worrying that they had not surveyed to site, that the new window wouldn't fit, my concerns were unnecessary. Their installer Arun did an excellent job modifying the aperture slightly to fit the new window. Despite the removal, cutting the old frame, inserting some new timbers and installation there was very little mess or making good afterwards. I would not hesitate in recommending London and Kent Roofing Ltd for this type of work.

Truly had an awful experience with this company, especially with Joanne. Not only did I wait weeks to hear back from them after first reaching out, but I was also faced with sarcasm on an email when not opening after waiting all morning for the site visit (which was a hassle to book as well). She couldn't tell me the time I would be visited (all I got was anytime between 10 and 1), nor remind me or give me a call when the team was on their way. Have been in touch with other companies (I recommend Artin Skylight LTD) who I couldn't recommend more. They are incredibly professional, polite, and easy to work with. At the end of the day, customer service and satisfaction are the most important.

Isn't it great when you find a contractor who takes care and pride in their work! I went to London & Kent on a personal recommendation and found their estimate detailed and competitive. There were delays in getting started due to the weather but I was kept fully informed at all stages. More problems were found below a so called waterproof membrane which required additional work to repair and this was fully explained. Works rapidly proceeded and we now have a waterproof guaranteed roof with new balcony decking installed. I have no hesitation in recommending this company and will go back to them for future works. This company has somehow lost the plot. We needed our balcony re-sealed as it was leaking. When the job was finished our balcony was now painted bright white (it was grey)! I was told that this is what was written in the proposal (why paint something white when it was grey to start with), but they would be willing to repaint it for an extra. As the extra was outrageous (given i already paid for this job to be done) i asked for a discount, which was granted. What i missed was that the discount was granted on the condition of me providing the paint!!! Do not use this firm!

I used London & Kent Roofing Ltd for a large roofing repair, repointing a chimney stack and capping off a couple of chimney pots. The quote was fair and done on time and despite me not going ahead with job until a good 6 months later, they honoured the price and details of the job. The point of contact for the job is Joanne whom I found to be really helpful and did her best to reassure my nervousness about the logistics of the job. Any issues were all sorted out, promptly, honestly and professionally and that's what matters most.

Very profeesional, and excellent workmanship. I have already had 2 velux windows fitted through London & Kent Roofing Ltd and I am planning on having another two or three fitted by this company. Their fitters are very clean and helpful and the price is good for the quality of work done. Estimates are done on the day and provides for a full breakdown of costs. I would highly recommend this company.

This place is crazy expensive! We got a quote to do some work on a balcony and flat roof it came to just under £3500, we got the work done by someone else for less than £1000 far quicker than they could have done it and with an amazing result. On top of that the man who came to quote was decidedly uninterested in the job.

Was very happy with the installation of our new skylight from London & Kent Roofing. Entire process was well managed and communication from the team was excellent. Would highly recommend, and will use again if we ever need work done on our roof.
