The London zoo is located in Camden/ Regent’s Park, with Primrose Hill close by. The zoo is accessible via the outer circle (Regent’s Park). The closest tube station is Camden Town, Baker Street or Chalk Farm or you simply hop on a bus (88, 274). There is a huge parking lot in front of the zoo too. You can either buy tickets on the day or you pre-book your ticket. They have lots of membership options available if you plan to return more often. Children under the age of 2 go for free and children/ adults with additional needs qualify for a companion ticket. The zoo is divided into two parts connected with two tunnels. You can find all sorts of animals in the zoo. However, the creepy crawlers center is the best. You can even walk with the spiders. They have all sorts of activity packs for children, and have seasonal workshops that are free of charge once you purchase a ticket. Check out the time slots for shows or download the zoo app. There are lots of food and coffee options. They have a big canteen offering fresh food. It is a bit more expensive though. They have lots of options to warm up baby bottles or heat up food in the microwave free of charge. The zoo staff is very helpful and friendly and are happy to support with everything. There are lots of indoor places in case of rain. There is a souvenir shop at the very end before leaving the zoo. You can obviously use the exit without going through the shop, which is quite nice if you come here often. I can highly recommend the zoo to everyone no matter the age!

Took the kids on Sunday 12th Nov. Was a little bit wet and cold so most of the Animals where in hibernation but we saw plenty. Bring your own snacks especially for kids as you will save a lot. They have a Café that serves limited Hot and Cold food for all dietary requirements and Hot and cold drinks. They supply a microwave to warm up food and baby milk if required. There tea of small cafes along the way to buy snacks and food as well. There is a petting farm and a small play area as well as featured Penguin Show which is fun for kids. Will definitely would come again in the Spring time to avoid over crowing. They provide Wheelchair assistance, easy to get around the park. Place is definitely designed for family outing for all ages. We bought Tickets as we had an offer. If you're on Universal Credit/State Pension you would be able to apply for free ticket. There is parking Pay and Display outside Park entrance simple to travel to on London Transportation. All and all a great place to experience.

During our recent visit to London Zoo, we had an absolutely wonderful time at this attraction. We spent roughly four hours exploring the place and covered about 3 miles on foot. What I found particularly helpful was the condensed layout of the site, especially compared to other places like Whipsnade. It allowed us to move quickly between different areas, making the most of our time. One of the standout features was the spider exhibit. What sets it apart is the ability to actually walk in and observe the spiders up close. No glass panels separating us, just an open and immersive experience. It was a rare and fascinating opportunity. The giraffes were another highlight of our visit. They're simply amazing creatures. The way they were showcased was beautiful and it's clear that a lot of thought goes into making the visit enjoyable. In summary, our time at this attraction was nothing short of delightful. It's a condensed and engaging experience, making it perfect for those looking to make the most of their visit to London in a relatively short amount of time.

First time visiting here with my family. Was definitely something I have been meaning to tick off my bucket list and it was worth the wait... Was so wonderful seeing so many different animals and learn more about them and listen to some of the daily talks for more details about the . My children really enjoyed the parting farm where they were able to touch and stroke the baby sheep/goats and walk close to them. They also enjoyed the penguin beach where they done a small show for us. It was a very nice day and such a cool experience to be so close to the animals. Our last visit of the day was going to monkey valley were we were able to see the monkey at a very close distance. There is a nice gift shop near the exist as well as toilets and food/snack and drink stalls. You can also get ice cream/ice lollies on site. Make sure you visit and make the most of each and every moment. There are lots of nice phot opportunities.

Haven't been to the zoo since my first year of secondary school, and have never been to London Zoo. Having serious issues with crowds, I was low-key terrified, but to be fair, it wasn't half as busy as I thought. Plenty to see, plenty to experience, and more than enough to draw (I love drawing!) There's also plenty of toilet facilities, and places to sit if the need to arises. Their gift shop has loads of cute little things, and it's fairly priced considering the level of attraction London Zoo is, plus remember: ZSL is a charity, and therefore the zoo operates on donations. Few issues: too many parents let their kids scoot about the place, and, stupidly hold their infant children over the safety fences, despite there being signs up everywhere *not to do so*! Also, there's few if any staff about to ask for directions or for any other help you might need, so be prepared to go it alone if an issue comes up...!

We visited on Friday and had a fantastic day out at London Zoo. The zoo is clean and tidy, the animals enclosures are well sized and the animals look well cared for. Everyone that works with the animals seemed very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. They have some great interactive exhibits like the walk through lemur, monkey, butterflies and the orb weaver spider walkthrough which was especially interesting. We ate at the restaurant and had cakes and hot drinks. The cakes were pretty dry and the coffee was terrible so I wouldn't recommend the food but you can bring your own. The gift shop was reasonably priced, especially for London and stocked a large amount of gift items. We had a pretty long and enjoyable day here and would definitely come back again, especially for another close encounter with a sloth. A great family day out. I think we spent around 7 hours here.

It was an amazing experience!It's a bit expensive, however it's definitely worth a visit. I booked tickets online for Saturday at 10 am. I do recommend booking tickets in advance as there was a long queue when we arrived. The queue was long bit moved relatively quickly. We waited about 10 min to pass security, and then staff scanned our tickets to get in. After you pass the security check, you can also buy tickets on the day. The zoo is huge, and it will take you at least 2-3 hours to see everything. There are kiosks, toilet facilities, different activities for kids and a big food hall with a terrace overlooking the zoo. There are different sections with reptiles, insects, and mammals from different continents. I really liked the sections with penguins and African animals - giraffes, zebras.

It was nice seeing the animals but some seemed so sad. There was a rat with the exotic birds enclosure btw and it kept scaring the birds. Lions were walking in a figure of 8 the whole time. Gorillas seemed sad questioning their life. The ants were really cool! Tigers were cute were all asleep. Butterflies were really good. Penguins were cool. Missed the kangaroo part just didn’t happen to walk there. The okapi is a really cool animal. I loved the camels, this one was so lovely walked up to me and I was chatting to it. There’s a lovely goat petting area spent a lot of time there. Was a good day out didn’t have time to see all the animals. Someone jumped the queue which annoyed me getting in, as we were waiting before the security checks and she just walked straight through.

London Zoo is a great afternoon out, and it’s hard to believe it’s in such a central location in Regent’s Park. It’s well kept and maintained, and they seem to keep investing in new environments for the animals and renewing older enclosures which is good to see. Some of the highlights of my recent visit include the apes, the tigers and lions, and the penguins too. There is plenty of information and talks on the animals, and it’s a surprisingly large zoo considering it’s location. The zoo can get busy, especially on a weekend, so be prepared for crowds. The food options around the zoo are standard visitor attraction offerings, and they are quite expensive, so it maybe worth factoring that into your visit.

I have visited London Zoo many times over the years, and went back recently for the first time in a long time, and wow, what an experience! Right in the heart of the city, it's like a little oasis of wildlife wonders. I was particularly impressed by the Rainforest Lookout; it felt like stepping into another world. And the penguin exhibit? Absolute fun watching them waddle and dive! The staff were friendly and seemed genuinely passionate about their work. My experience overall was not bad the zoo is well maintained and the animals seemed like they are looked after. On a small note most of the time we didn't see any animals only empty spaces of green so wasn't sure if I got the worthy of my money. Yeas animals need some space to hide and that but why would I pay to watch some trees behind a fence!! The price per ticket is too much compare to what it offers and possibly the management might consider adjusting the prices in the future. It is a really good day out for all the family, so many interactive things to do there me and my wife especially loved the in with the spiders interactive bit where you go into a room with golden orb weavers from Australia it was amazing and also the bird pavillion where you are in with the birds!!! It is quite expensive to get in in the first place but it all goes to the upkeep of the animals. All the staff are very friendly and the keepers are always there to answer questions you have. Food and drink can be a bit pricey (2.50 for a small can of water) but again it's for a good cause!!!

Ahhh yes I remember taking the kids these summer holidays and honestly it was amazing. Did the kids get lost for a couple of mins? Yes. But very easy to find as everything is so meticulously planned and all the route is easy to follow. Loved seeing the giraffes and lovely workshops happening everywhere so we could see what animal was spoken about. Honestly such a beautiful place with beautiful creatures. Loved it so much, universal credit tickets were only £19 per family. But worth saving up for if you’re paying full price. The memories and experience is always, always worth it.

Can't really compare to Whipsnade which I would describe as a wildlife park with loads of space. However whilst much smaller, the enclosures here are not bad and you can see that the animals are well looked after. I don't begrudge the entry price, maintaining a Zoo is a very costly business that goes well beyond just feeding the animals. Plenty to see here and good facilities, you can even hire mobility scooters. There's a bit of luck involved in seeing some of the animals like the Tigers/Lions who often disappear into hidden shaded areas.

This is a very interesting zoo with a wide variety of animals. It is also clear that they care about conservation efforts and preserving endangered species. This zoo has several different themed areas and animals are grouped together by area. The insect area was fascinating, and I don’t usually enjoy exhibits like that. The zoo also features a very interesting, open air, rainforest exhibit, allowing guests to get relatively close to animals (supervised closely by zoo staff). Huge zoo. Very well-maintained. Friendly and welcoming staff. A big collection of rare animals and birds. "Into Africa" was the most exciting part for me. A lovely experience for all. Plenty to see and enjoy in terms of animals and children’s park. The animals are well fed, cared for and their enclosures are clean. Ticket prices are reasonable, especially with under three year olds admitted for free. There are plenty of toilets, nappy changing areas, a restaurant and gift shop. There is plenty of paid parking outside on the main road, so it’s not too far to walk. The best features are the gorillas and lions - magnificent to observe in real life. The sea life area and tanks are clean and all round tidy.

I went with my family a Friday morning, we spent almost all day there until they closed. It was really nice to walk around without so many people. We could see all the animals. We enjoy the farm animals. We could see the tigers and the lion. Amazing animals. All the spaces were clean . The restaurant maybe a little bit expensive so maybe is better is you take your own food as they have plenty tables around to eat.

Very nice Zoo park with a lot of animals.. You can see them quite closer and the area is very big and there are nice places where you have to rest if you're tired to walk around inside this park.. There are 3 different zones to visit and they give you a free map, after that you took the ticket, to search the animals that you would like to see!!! Very recomended if you like to visit a peaceful place even inside a lovely big city as London ^___^

Great zoo LOVED the butterfly enclosure and penguins but a few areas over grown with no animals in the enclosures. Also the leaves on the gorilla enclosure are not helpful for viewing and I’m sure make no difference to the gorillas. The food choice was fairly poor for people just wanting a small healthy lunch not a massive creamy sandwich or hot fried meal.

Great, albeit comparatively expensive, zoo. You can tell it cares about the animal's habitats. Clean, interesting, varied. Sadly, many "night" and reptilian areas were out of order due to moving them. Great day out at London Zoo, all the Christmas themes were in full flow. Plenty of activities for the kids. Really quiet day which makes such a difference. I went to one of the London Zoo nights. I would definitely recommend it to everyone. Its 18+ only as there are pop up bars with drinks. The pop up food vendors are excellent also but the queues did get a bit long. Loads to do and plenty of entertainment with talks, games, and a tour. The animals were still about and active in the evening. It was an altogether more relaxed, calm and quiet zoo trip.

Overall my experience was good.It was a cold day so the animals were a bit less interested but it was pleasure to watch them doing their own thing.The place was clean and well managed , we had maps to navigate and this is preferred as people were lost moving around same place who did not have map with them. We had a lovely day, there are a number of enclosures that you walk through in which the animals are free to roam around you. We had a lemur at our feet at one point. Definitely make sure you go through the tunnel to the other side of the zoo too as here you can walk through a monkey aviary. More

London Zoo is lush! Please don’t make my mistake and book a rainy day. It’s very easy to roam around the zoo and they have 3 main routes which allows you to see everything. There are loads of animals to see however the reptiles house

Wonderful zoo, 2nd visit of the year and am right now considering the yearly membership, which can be bought at a reduced rate when factoring in the money already spent on initial admission (within 14 days of the visit at least)

Definitely worth a visit. Some great exhibits especially the penguins, butterflies, lemurs and Galapolis tortoises.

What an amazing place. It's definitely better than "zoo". We went on a rainy day and still had fun.
