"Small and nice hindu temple in Amsterdam"
"Went there for the first time during the Navraatri celebrations last week Very happy to connect with the local Hindu community Lovely cheerful people, beautiful bhajan singing and beautiful statues of the gods ❤️ Before I arrived I was a bit insecure on how they would react to me as a Dutch person, but they received us warm heartedly ❤️ Bless the beautiful community of this mandir ❤️❤️ Om Namah Shivaya ✨✨"
"I visited this place in one of the week days, at around 9 AM"
It's a peaceful small temple in the bilmer arena area. There is lord Shiva and Parvati with Ganesha and kumaraswamy, Durga Devi, Hanuman, Sai Baba and many other idols. All Bhagwan chalisas adorn the wall and there is food served every evening. Bhakts also bring rice, flour, lentils, fruits, milk, ghee and other miscellaneous items to offer in the temple. All the major Hindi festivals are organised very well in the temple and there are some special themes like Bhagwat Gita parayan etc on occasions, the flyers is which are given in the temple. There are a few chairs available for sitting. In the evening you will find pandits doing Pooja and Aarti followed by Prasad. There is also a washroom for the convenience of bhakts. We visit here regularly and I would recommend it to anyone who plans to visit.
Lord Shiva Hindu Temple was established on 4th June, 2011. The temple is build up within an area of 200 sq. meters. It is a Hindu temple established in Amsterdam Zuidoost with the sole objective of fulfilling the spiritual and religious needs of the devotees and building a sense of spiritual satisfaction in the Hindu community. They offer their best services with great dedication and enthusiasm to strengthen the community and promote the common good.
Small and nice hindu temple in Amsterdam. Can be reachable by public transport as well as private one. Hosts special pooja like Dussera. Its 2 story tample where 1st floor is used for prasad preparation. Calm place in calm surrounding. Evening aarti is awsome. One can also host special pooja as required. Shiva, Durga, Ganesha, sai baba and many other idols are there. I think it has its own website. One can follow it on social network as well.

I visited this place in one of the week days, at around 9 AM. I was the only visitor. There were no other people. From inside it looks like a temple, with status of many gods there, most prominently Lord Shiva. However, from outside it's just like any apartment or office space. The structure of the temple/building is not like a typical temple we see in India. The nearest bus stop is not very far. It's about 200 to 300 meters.
Awesome place, kind people. The most amazing thing is even after the upper part of temple got burned in a fire, still the evening prasad or langar is served everyday without fail! It is managed by great devotees. People also donate on generous amounts to keep the temple and it's processes running. Great respect for the place!
Shiva temple , walking distance from Bijlmer arena. Been there during mahashivratri 2020. It was really a nice experience. There was bhajan keertan going on , everyone got a chance to do jalabhishek. There was also langar arranged for devotees. I can say it home away from home. Om namah shivaya.
Pandit Sharma has done a lot for Hindoes in The Netherlands. I live in The Netherlands for 30 years and nobody has done what Pandit Sharma has done it. The Mandir itself is beautiful, but not so big. Er is everyday Aarti at 7 o'clock ( except Sunday ) and after that free bhojan.
One of the few temples in Amsterdam. For those who aren't aware, it's a place of worship for Hindus. Although it's called the Lord Shiva temple but you find idols of most of the gods here. There is free food almost everyday. And big feast on special occasions.
A divine place for offering prayer & worship with regular aarti every evening at 7 PM. Post aarti prasad (full indian meal) is also offered by the temple which is of course free. They also organise hindu religious events e.g. Navratri, … Meer
A calm and spiritual place for worship. The best part is it is always open during day which is unlike other temples in the Netherlands. Beautifully decorated and the person managing the day to day activities of the temple is always helpful :)

A religious place where you find peace and can perform small rituals. If you wish to donate with a good will, this is the right place. It is not closed during afternoon, in fact afternoon is very quiet, you can sit for long.
The temple is inside a building, so if you are expecting a distinct temple architecture ,you will be disappointed. Once you enter the building although relatively small, its well maintained and has got a good vibe going on.
They celebrate all Hindu festivals with full spirit. You can have personalized poojas during Birthdays, Anniversary or Navratri etc. Nearest station is Bijlmer Station if you are using metro or train to visit this temple.
It was so nice to visit this temple, where you can spot all the Hindu gods over there and nice ambience as well. Since it's not India, even this kind of small temple bring us bit peace of mind and positive atmosphere..
It's a very good place. One can have a peaceful mind once you visit there. All god statues are there. Our family visited in the evening around 6:30, bhajans are going on and at 7 harathi given and followed by Dinner.
A Hindu temple in Amsterdam. The place is very clean and friendly. Idols of all gods are there in the temple. Would definitely give you a peaceful feeling. Parkbee Garage is close to the place for car parking
This temple has been running in the Netherlands for 12 years now. All the festivals are being celebrated here with full energy. Every day after evening aarati, food is being served for everyone.
Small temple but very kind and welcoming community. Arati at 7pm and some food is offered around 8pm as well. Late opening to 8.30pm each day helps people find time to attend.
Visited on a crowded Shivratri night. A small temple amidst business establishments. Happy for the initiative. Could improve with time, increasing interest and contributuon.
Only Hindu temple near Bijlmer Arena, Amstelveen and Zuid.. Almost all the Hindu gods to worship. Daily morning and evening prayers. They celebrate all the Hindu festivals.
Hartje Amsterdam aan de "beruchte" Zeedijk. Historie is mooi om te horen en de vriendelijkheid is top. Loop even naar binnen om te weten waarom deze tempel daar staat
A small temple but unique nonetheless. They have a praying place on the ground floor and a small community kitchen serving free food on the first floor!
This is more like a big hall rather than a temple, but the place has a very good vibe. The temple is dedicated to many Gods, with good prayers. … Meer
