This fire house is on a corner of a four lane road. I tried to turn, but there was a large fire Dept. vehicle blocking the view of the oncoming cars (three out of four lanes). I called to inform them of the situation, the fire fighter was arrogant and dismissive, instead of listening to concern, he just argued every point. I have the utmost respect for all fire fighters and the service they provide, but it doesn't give them the right to let their arrogance override public safety. There was no one in the vehicle, or even paying attention, two men who I assume are there to prevent accidents, were laughing it up. It was illegally parked, period.
My car died in the middle of an intersection a mile or so from their station, and I was nearly getting creamed by speeding traffic... these guys were driving by and, without hesitation, hopped out of their trucks, blocked traffic, and pushed my car (and me) to safety. I was so thankful I could hardly wave goodbye. Total heros. Awesome.
