"If you like bodybuilding, powerlifting, strongman, or Olympic lifting this is the best gym in town! Lifetime, LA Fitness, and others can't compete with the environment at either Franklin or Blisdale! I personally do CrossFit and then my accessory work at this gym and they've got it all! The crowd at Los is one of the friendliest group of hardcore lifters I've experienced! This gym is a bit smaller than Franklin but I like the Oly room here better! To address the parking problem if you are afraid of a short walk to the gym this then "I pity the fool" there's plenty of street parking all around, and in winter there's plenty of space inside to store your jacket and bags"
"Los Campeones is an excellent gym for anyone who trains for sports, powerlifting, bodybuilding, crossfit, and general fitness"
"Fantastic powerlifting-focused gym"
"Staff are solid and there is a nice array of equipment, but this place clearly isn’t cleaned regularly and unless you have over ear sound cancelling headphones you will not be able to hear your own music as the in house speakers are bumping at full volume"
Parking: Small parking lot on site, it was full when I arrived. Unfamiliar with the area took a few strolls around the block and found some street parking close by. Little parking is expected for the area. Walk in: First thoughts were the overwhelming smell of body odor. I get it’s a gym and people are there to workout, but it smelled like not a single person was wearing deodorant. I just came in to try the gym. They do not offer day or week trial passes. It was $16 for a day pass and around $25 for a week pass, which I thought was slightly high for the location and compared to the overall cost of a membership. Equipment: This is the smallest location from was I was told, and they have a decent selection of equipment inside. Small room off to the side which is more powerlifting oriented with squat racks and deadlift platforms. Basement I just glanced at and was turfed and had squat racks. Some of the standard hammer strength plate loaded machines upstairs and most of the plate loaded machines seemed leg oriented. Locker rooms smelled better than the gym, reminded me of middle school with the overpowering smell of axe body spray. Overall thoughts: If you live in the area a decent gym to get your workouts in, did not blow me away. From what I’ve been told it’s worth the extra drive to the other locations.

Los Campeones is an excellent gym for anyone who trains for sports, powerlifting, bodybuilding, crossfit, and general fitness. The atmosphere motivates and encourages you as well as the staff. It's a judgment free place so feel free to dip your hands in chalk and grunt to get that extra rep.The equipment is great which includes Powerbars, Bumper Plates, lots of squat racks, machines, and sports performance equipment like prowlers, sleds and tires. The price is good and you don't have to sign any one year contract deals! Both facility's also include a convenient supplement store for you! Los Campeones(Spanish for The Champions)will not disappoint.
Fantastic powerlifting-focused gym. Lots of variation in experience here, with newcomers and frequents alike. Tons of equipment, about 8 power racks, many places to do deadlifts or other compound exercises. Great selection of machines too. The gymgoers I've met are all very friendly and willing to help out if you need a spotter as well. Everyone here does a pretty good job at cleaning up after themselves, and reracking their weights. The staff I've met have been helpful and courteous. Parking isn't too bad as even if the lot is full there's usually street parking nearby. Seriously a fantastic gym.
Staff are solid and there is a nice array of equipment, but this place clearly isn’t cleaned regularly and unless you have over ear sound cancelling headphones you will not be able to hear your own music as the in house speakers are bumping at full volume. Parking sucks too, 6 or 7 spots total, not including improvised parking. Equipment is good quality, but beat to hell. Definitely have to wash your hands after leaving as there is grime on alot. 60 a month is an okay deal but theres a lot you have to compromise for, not sure if I’ll stay for another month.
Best gym in town says it all. You won't find a better lifting community, more equipment, better spaces for unusual and trending workouts, or a more competitive membership price. They honor insurance discounts, you get access to both locations, and the owner/proprietor Ben always seems to remember everybody's name and greet them each time they come in. It's also very inclusive on grounds of culture, race, age, gender, ethnicity, experience level, and overall fitness level. I cannot recommend this place enough.
I've been a member for less than a month, but I've loved my experience here. The staff and gym members are great, kind, and willing to help you with your fitness journey every step of the way. The first day I came to start my membership, a gym member helped teach me how to lift properly without injuring myself. Me, having no experience in weightlifting whatsoever, was very appreciative of this. Awesome community, amazing gym, you really can see why it's called the best gym in town.
I think this is a nice place i dont go here though i traveled threw here and by it.. i believe this is a very veteran freindly gym for us Armed. Forces Veterans and family( i may be mistakeing)ladies and gentlman please call ane confirm this gym if the reason why your going is cause of this statement ..I do apologize to you,if my information was wrong ...anyways hit the gym.. .Haveing a good workout this sunday weekend of the 4th of july !!
Good gym for the price with lots of various equipment. However, it has a few issues. Maintenance is not high priority on the cardio equipment (not that many machines at this location), and there is almost always a machine not working or something goofy going on. Was smirked at and brushed off by the manager when mentioning issues. Also the gym is very hot and humid in the summer, sometimes warmer inside than outside.
I’ve been a member at several gyms in the twin cities at similar price points as well as a couple cheaper ones, this one by far tops all of them. The staff is extremely kind and helpful, the gym is large and very clean, and there’s plenty of equipment. I don’t run into the issue of it being in use or packed. It’s also nice to be able to receive so many discounts on workout supplements and beverages.
Truly the best gym experience regardless of your fitness level. You will find great people, equipment, atmosphere, and community. Whether you are looking to get back into shape, maintain, get pushed to a new level, or train for an event, you'll be able to tap into a plethora of resources. Lack of support from this community is not an issue, members are proud to represent Los Campeones!
This place is ok, but it's pretty cramped, and there aren't enough stations to accommodate the volume gym-goingers at most times. The parking lot is tiny and the equipment's pretty old. They charge more than the JCC in Saint Paul does, which is nuts considering the J has much newer equipment and provides access to a lap pool. Also driving and parking around this area suck in general.
I was visiting from out of town and just needed a spot to train without adjusting my program. The staff is welcoming. The gym is clean. They have a diverse selection of equipment that is well maintained and high quality. If the music’s too loud, they’ll happily turn it down upon request. If you’re a strength athlete or would just like to get stronger, this gym is a great place to be.
Have you ever been to the greatest gym in town. Come to a place where you can dispel all the myths and negativities that you've seen before and your previous gym experience. Get over to this place it is one of the best experiences I've ever had. This place is so good that it picked up the nickname of Los. That's right this place is so good they just called THE!!! I love this place.
It’s hands down the best gym in town. They have more than enough weights for everyone there. The locker rooms are clean. Great music selection over the speakers, I tend to leave my headphones at home a lot. The one downside is parking is tough but you will find a spot that’s not too far away... plus that means you can count that as your cardio! Once again, best gym in town!
Truly the best gym in town. I was initially intimidated at the thought of working out in a “hardcore” gym. Los is absolutely nothing like I feared. There are people of all shapes, sizes, and ages who all workout at Los. Everyone who comes here is focused on working out, not checking themselves out and trying to pick up their next date. Love love love this place
There's a reason why this gym is voted best in the twin cities. It's a great gym w even greater space to work out at. Gym is busy and here u will see all sorts of unique and rugged individuals dedicated to their fitness goals. That being said, if you're single and u want to check out some eye candy, walk in the door and sign up for a membership.
Awesome gym, plenty of weights/machines/racks/everything you can think of. I haven't personally signed up for personal training there but I notice that each trainer I've seen gives their full attention & effort to who(m)ever they are working with. I love this place, people come in from all walks of life/culture. BEST GYM IN THE STATE.
Best gym ever so far I have lost about 11 Lb happy about that.People there are very friendly nice to all you got to do is a simple hi and then boom y'all become friends. Also great support and motivation from everyone so so yourself a favor and get a !!!!membership at this Gym!!!! WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR ITS NOT OR NEVER!!!!!!!
I like the atmosphere, but you can see a lot of grime on their treadmills and a lot of equipment padding is falling apart. For a $60/mo gym, I feel like I should be able to expect the equipment to be in better shape. I asked the employee and he said that Management doesn't communicate with employees about these things
Reasonably clean and lots of equipment but best of all it's pretty low anxiety to workout in there. Even when it's busy people are fairly respectful and are good about working around each other. There is a small parking lot (though usually full) so sometimes parking blows, but that's really just Uptown in general.
The gym is geared toward Power Lifters, but is great for your any body builder as well. The members on average have terrific gym etiquette, and the staff are friendly and helpful. The price of membership is also very reasonable, and it's a month to month payment (no contract). I'm super stoked I found this gym!
Separate of the quality of the gym, I had a brief misunderstanding with Benjamin, the gym owner, over my membership and some charges on my account post-cancellation. He was very understanding once we actually spoke and got to the bottom of the matter. This five star review is for his customer service.
I came here one time with some friends and benched 225 on their fat pad. I’m telling you fat pads go crazy. There’s also this dude there named Milo, who is one of the most goated hard workers at the place. He gave us a nice tour. They had very nice apparel and I would recommend to a friend.
When i canceled my membership they kept charging me for multiple months before i realized, and i was never reimbursed. There is never parking anywhere near the gym either. I would never recommend this gym to another person. Do yourself a favor and workout at home instead of at los crapeones
Los Campeones Gym is by far the best gym around!! The gym creates champions! No other gym can touch the atmosphere! Whether you are training to get into better shape or competing in an event, this gym maximizes one's potential and then some! Come into the gym and see for yourself!!
Blaisdell locations is great! An inclusive and excellent atmosphere for all types of athletic abilities. From beginners to experts there is equipment for all. The staff is kind and courteous. Not to mention they are all down to earth. My favorite gym in the twin cities.
I enjoy the way everyone is very focused on their own work out. Not on anyone or anything else. It has an intense red color walld and heavy metal music that changes things up For the best. Small parking lot, it is minneapolis and it's free parking if you find a spot
This gym has great instructors and motivating energy! They customize the daily workout with tiers so everyone feels the challenge on their own level. The classes are small enough that the instructors can help everyone with weight lifting form and personal goals.
Great gym and great staff!! Variety of weightlifting equipments which what I love about this gym. I like the atmosphere and the people there are nice. Los Campeones is basically a playground for people who enjoy working out. Definitely best gym in town!
You get more than you expect for the money. It's the best value gym in town and I'm kind of embarrassed you say it but I like it so much I'm staying in my current apartment for another year just so I didn't have to move further away from it ha.
My 24-year-old healthy son joined this gym in msp on 9/4/23. He signed up to work with a "certified personal trainer" CPT. After 3 workouts within 1 week with the trainer my son was admitted into the ER on 9/9/23 with Rhabdomyolysis! My
Amazing gym for anyone looking to seriously lift weights. Great for anyone from beginner to bodybuilder. Everyone is very friendly and welcoming. Parking can be a pain but if you drive around the block you can almost always find a spot.
The best price for a gym membership you'll find in the Twin Cities. My boyfriend and I split a couples membership that is less than a single membership anywhere else. This place has all the machines you need with a great vibe.
Great gym, great price. Recent upgrades and added machines really make this a huge asset to the neighborhood, plus it's locally owned, not corporate. Don't get jerked around by overpriced corporate gyms. Shop local.
Great coaches! Welcoming and supportive environment from the owner and staff. Bodybuilders, powerlifters, crossfitters, young and old athletes, beginning or seasoned fitness experience....you get a combo of all.
One of the best gyms I have had a membership to. Plenty of equipment so I am never waiting around to use something. More importantly, there is a true sense of community here. Nice people without attitude.
Best gym in town and honestly the best gym I've been to in the country. Nowhere encourages hard work more than Los Campeones. The people there are some of the friendliest you'll ever meet too!
Best gym in town. Might a little intimidating because of the non-typical big gym look but has evrything you need. Love that you don't have to sign a contract and at a good price.
I started at Los Campeones a couple years ago and won't leave until I leave Minneapolis! Great staff and great gyms! They provide an atmosphere where yiy want to work out!
This place it awesome! Great atmosphere Benjamin and his staff have put together here.. If I were you I would definitely check this place out when looking for a gym.
This gym has everything you need. As far as I've seen the members respectful and considerate. I highly recommend this gym. Only downside is parking is limited.
Love this gym. Lots of great equipment clean space and super friendly staff!! If your looking for a great comfortable place to work out this is your gym.
Great gym and atmosphere. The staff are very friendly, welcoming and helpful! The downstairs is huge, lots of space throughout the entire building.
Great little gym. When you come here you really want to work. That's the vibe you get. They have everything you need to get a great workout.
It's a great gym. My only complaint is after training there for a few months my gainz got completely out of control. 10/10 WOULD LIFT AGAIN.
All the equipment you could need for any type of strength training and the variety of locations gives you options all across Minneapolis!
Love the facility almost as much as the community at Los Campeones...can't believe the quality of the facility and equipment!!s
Great gym! Both staff and members are so welcoming, no matter where you’re at on your fitness journey.
Of All the Gyms I have Been to, This Is The Premier! Everything Thing you need and want, is right Here
This is the perfect gym. Old school feel with new school equipment. Love the staff and community.
Great place. Lots of machines and weights. Room for parking. Serious members with great goals.
Super cool locations for serious sweat sessions. These are the gyms where you build a new you!
Best gym in the city. Good, non-toxic gym culture. Lots of advanced bodybuilding equipment.
New to Minneapolis and this is exactly what I was looking for. Very grateful I found it!
Atmosphere was great, some sections were clearly less clean than other
Couldn’t ask for a better gym. Lucky to live within walking distance!
