Something has changed here.I used to get great service. My last my deluxe mani and pedi were awful. Rushed work, not my request, I like relax time for these services to decompress. Oper fast job on an my fingernails and never touched water, no soaking or cleaning up of the hands like you always have. No special attention to the feet even though it was a deluxe pedi and deluxe main. I asked for the price list three times while I was getting the pedicure so I could decide on the level of manicure, planning to get the deluxe. I finally got the price chart from them after the pedicure requesting the manicure levels again so I could choose whether to bump it up. So then I got the deluxe mani and upo, check out they refused to give me the published combo discount off $5 off as listed on the price list. They said I decided on the manicure after the pedicure and was not eligible, I was shocked and unwilling to argue over the $5. I tipped anyway and left with the knowledge I would never go back there. I am a good tipper and loyal easy going customer so I was pretty shocked by the male manicurist who worked on me for both services and refused to charge me the combo price even though I listed the services on the sign in sheet and went straight to mani chair after the pedi chair.

I have considered giving a review many times in the past and have not. Lotus is a place my entire family frequented from the time they opened until about 8 months ago. We stopped going because I got a fungus on my toenails. Yes multiple nails. I wore gel polish on my toes as well. They filed my nails so thin they split. I never had this issue before going to Lotus. My toenails turned BLACK! I had to seek medical treatment and use medication to treat the problem from this place. It's unsanitary, obviously! Regardless of how clean it may appear! I've spent so much time and money trying to treat the issue they caused. All from trying to look cute!! Today my 19 yr old daughter came home from this place in tears. She's been there twice for gel polish that doesn't last four days. Against advice from her mother.. all because it's convenient!! She works for her money and pays for things like the rest of us. The polish should last about two weeks. It lifts literally the next day. She asked them to just take it off because of the poor quality. They charged her for removing it, after not doing the process correctly in the first place! If you want to be disappointed, disgusted, and ripped off Lotus is the perfect place to go!

The worst manicure I've had. The tech did only a sms dip no actual manicure. No cuticle care, no hand massage, no lotion. I understand there was a serious language barrier but I couldn't understand what she was asking (gesturing at really) when I asked she decided that was a positive answer and cut my nails. This was not what I wanted I had them grown out at my desired length. I just wanted dip to keep them from breaking. It's been less than a week and a couple nails have chips on the tip. There was a side chip on my thumb within 2 days. The shine went dull within 4 days. She left me there waiting for my daughter to get her equally disappointing manicure with acrylics which was fine. Right before we left the guy doing my daughter's nails slapped some oil on our cuticles(no rubbing it in) with the same brush dipping it in between. Not sure how they stay open with sharing the sms dip pots and brushes with no thought about sanitary measures. My only guess as to there higher rating is fake reviews.

A coworker recommended this place and it’s close to my house so I tried it because I was looking for a cleaner place than the one I was going to. Not only was this place dirtier and dustier (the towel at my table was dirty and used and dust and nail clippings were all over) but they did a terrible job. I had three different people come up while soaking my nails off none of them really saying much or introducing the self. Then finally one man settled at the table and was apparently the one who would be doing my nails. He rushed the job and didn’t listen to any of the direction I gave for how I like my nails. He kept angling the grinder at the end of my nail so it was thin and curved while the rest of my nail was lumpy and uneven. Then because the ends were so thin not even a week later nearly every nail was coming away from the acrylic and many had broken. Won’t ever go again.

We got the manicure and got absolutely no hand treatment there was no massage or anything. I got acrylics by the young man. He was terrible. He cut me while clipping my cuticles. When he was shaving down the acrylic he got my fingers a few times. He got something black on one of my nails instead of fixing it he shaved the nail down to a weird shape. Most of the nails are a horrible shape and thick. I wanted a rainbow on the tip of each nail and he acted as though I was asking for a lot, none of the lines of color are straight at all some have gaps in the line and others have bubbles. My mother got dip nails and they are cracking and chipping. It hasn't even been a week since getting our nails done. This place is way over priced for the terrible work they do. Very unhappy and will not be going back ever.

I recently moved to Jax and was looking for a new nail tech. I went to this establishment on 8/18 to get my nails filled. I also got a pedicure and eyebrows and lip wax. Let me tell you this place is all about the experience instead of the quality of services rendered… It is 8/20 and my nails has already chip… Not the mention the glue that is used for the eyelash extensions is very hard on the eyes…. It literally had my eyes crusting…. The experience is nice but the service is poor… I will not be doing back I’ll tell you that…. The only reason I went to this place because I said I could get everything done one time - eyelash extensions, mani, pedi, and waxing…. But I will stick with shopping around because there’s no way you should pay all that money just to leave unsatisfied…. Please go elsewhere!!!

i decided to check out lotus nails the other day since it's close to where I live. as soon as I walked in, I saw a familiar face. the manager, I knew her from nail time over there in the baymeadows area. I don't know if she remembered me or not but I sure remembered her. I had a bad experience with her before from nail time. every time I went there she always had a bad attitude towards me and was not very friendly. a few of my friends told me the same thing about her and btw we are African American. I've noticed that she is more friendlier towards white people. but as for my review of lotus nails, other then the manager, I had a nice experience. the girl who did my nails was very good. I forgot her name, but shes the tallest one in there.

I went with my mom after work. Our appointment was at 4:45 PM and they met our appointment time. My mom got the hot stone pedicure and I got the reflexology pedicure. I don’t know if the girl who did my mom’s feet had a bad day, but she rushed my mom’s pedicure. Nice polish though. I got a French tip, and I usually would go JUST for the massage and never paint my toes. My pedicurist was very weak in massage so that was a bummer. The pedicure seems alright to me. The reviews are very mixed and it just seems like a gamble of getting the correct person on their good day. Definitely not consistent service like they were years ago. Any person I had a good experience with doesn’t work there anymore, so I will be searching for a new nail salon.

I rated this place 5 a year ago. Today I edited down to 1. A couple of days ago I had another pedicure the girl cut my toes twice. I didn't complain about it but was painful. Today I returned asking for the stamp for rewards that I didn't get. He said it was my responsibility to ask at the time of pedicure and wouldn't apply a stamp. He said he was sorry. I told him if he was sorry he would give me a stamp on card which cost nothing. No he answered he couldn't do that and opened the door for me to leave . I will not go back as loyalty means nothing to them. They forget the stamp but are quick to collect payment and tip. Plenty of other salons to go to. Not my loss.

The ladies who does Your feet is old and skip through the entire process if your not watching careful. During my $35 Pedicure she didn’t cut my cuticles and wanted to Move forward with the gel polish one of her do Worker had to complete the process. The place is gorgeous inside but don’t make that mislead you I would certainly not recommend it every time I go there is the same thing with the pedicures there are people who I believe is just to fill in gaps. The only reason why I went there one of the former employees used to work nails time salon Which by the way is excellent Salon recommend you go there

I went in to have my nails soaked off. The were quick to seat me, however the lady I had was terribly distracted and I could tell that she did not want to be doing the removal. The stations on both sides of me still had nail clippings and nail debris all over the place. The "clean" towel she put down was not clean and had nails on it. She hit my skin a few times and caused me to bleed. She started removing them standing up as she did not even want to sit down. She still managed to not get all the acrylic off the majority of my nails. Only 3 nails were more than 95% acrylic free. I wont be returning.

I have been to this salon twice. The first ttime the experience was fine nothing too stood out. I got the dip polish and after a few weeks the polish stad to peel, then doing the dishes the polish chipped. I thought perhaps this was normal wear so I went back. The second time was awful. The lady that did my pedicure gave the lady next to me the SAME foot scrubber that she used on me! Then the nail tech doing my nails was less than interesting in providing any service. I have had my nails done for a WEEK with the dip powder and THEY ARE CHIPPING! This is not the ideal nail salon. Do not recommend.

The nail technician (man) is terrible, I came here 1 year or more ago and never came out as dissatisfied as today. He is honestly terrible, my nails are badly painted and he put too much gel on them, little bubbles were made. I burn twice with the lamp and with what they remove the gel, I am totally dissatisfied. Pay exactly what you paid 15 days ago and he only gave 1 minute of massage on each hand. The women techniques are amazing but HE does not know how to do nails I will not do it again with him, 1 month ago my wife was with him and made the nails terrible too.

Went last-minute mid-afternoon on a Monday. As expected, nail salon was near empty. I went in with plans of dip removal and gel mani. Jenny was my nail tech and she is an absolute STAR. She was very gentle in using her equipment, and when she used her Dremel, she made sure multiple times that she wasn’t hurting me. The color I wanted wasn’t available in their gel selection, but Jenny suggested SNS (not much coercion needed on my end, to be honest) and I am in love with the finished product! Overall a great experience, and Jenny will be my girl from hereon out!

Worst manicure I have ever gotten. Without asking my stylist cut my nails down very short and showed them without asking how I liked it. They all ended up different shapes and she never talked to me. She abruptly left and someone else came to finish my manicure. It only got worse from there. The nail polish was not even and has a lot of bubbles in it and doesn’t even cover my whole nail. The top coat doesn’t cover all of the nail polish and is uneven. Overall I probably could have done a better job and it was not worth the money at all. Don’t waste your time!

Terrible customer service. We had an appointment for 4 people a week in advance. We arrived on time to appointment and still had to wait 30 minutes to get pedicures, and even then they only took 3 of us back. Our 4th person had wait another 30 minutes, Then the person that did my pedicure did a a rush job. They didnt put my flip flops on after pedicure. They didnt do the massage or place me under the nail dryer. No apologies for any of these issues, nor did they offer any sort of compensation to make up for their terrible service. Stay away from this place.

I use to go there all of the time. Started to notice how certain customers got treated differently than others. I wanted a pedicure and a pink and white fill. While getting pedicure they soaked my nails. An hour later I'm thinking I'm next to get my nails done...NOPE they took someone else though I was there way before her. They tried to tell me my nails weren't ready, I told them I had been soaking for an hour, how were they not ready. I left without getting my nails done and thanks to the soaking my finger tips are dry and rough.

Went two days ago and was never even asked what i wanted while i sat for 45 minutes. Was not busy at all. I thought maybe it was just a bad day so i went back today, i was then helped after about 25 minutes but the man doing my nails seemed lazy and his work and didn’t even ask me how i wanted anything. He asked me if i wanted them short or long and that was it. He did not ask about the shape, and my nails now look uneven and much shorter than i wanted. I will not be returning. I used to love lotus nails about 6 months ago.

This is not the place to get a gel fill for sure! Horrible experience. I was in and out in 40 minutes, usually when you get your nails done it takes an hour at least, but this place rushed through the process and my nails look horrible. They are uneven, they didn’t clean up the edges and the entire time he kept trying to get me to do more services. Why would I pay for more when you can’t do the first service correctly. I hate it when my nail lady goes out of town.. I will not go back here regardless of how desperate I am.

My nails? Beautiful. Prices? Fine. Experience? Bad. The people were not nice. It's not even like I expected conversation, but they weren't polite at all. I didn't feel relaxed, just uncomfortable. Also I really should have been out of there at least 30 minutes earlier than I was. They had me waiting way too long BETWEEN nails, and I had an appointment. So I suppose if you don't care at all to have a good time but good nails, it's a good place. But I definitely will be going somewhere else next time.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE‼️ I do not stay I’m Jacksonville. I am here on a two week travel nursing contract and I wanted to get my LEGS WAXED while I had the day off. I decided to look up salon Spas by my hotel and didn’t see any I was interested in so I kept looking and found this one. I am so glad I took the time to come into the place and get serviced! I am so satisfied with the quality work! VERY CLEAN! Lily is the one who did my waxing and left her a big tip! VERY HAPPY☺️!!!!

Stumbled upon this salon after getting my TSA PreCheck done next door. Offered a free beverage upon sitting down. Maybe the best pedicure and gel manicure I have ever gotten! The standard pedicure included a hot stone massage (which I had never had before but was absolutely delightful). Kind and patient staff. Very attentive to detail. Rewards system in place so after 7 visits you get $30 off a service! Wish I lived here permanently. What a deal!

The service isn’t good especially for the prices. The salon isn’t up to par either for their prices. I got my nails done on Monday and by Thursday two nails were broken. On top of that the got got upset bc I didn’t want gel and applied my polish on so thick it took over 30mins to dry. And my acrylics were applied so lumpy and uneven, it was a mess and the most I’ve ever spent for trash nails. Will never go back! Horrible experience.

I used to love this salon but I absolutely refuse to go here anymore because of the attitude my daughter and I have received from the staff the past couple of months after years of coming to this salon. You should not treat your loyal clients like trash and talk badly about mostly everyone that comes through the door of your business. We have always been easy clients and good tippers. We will not be returning to Lotus Nails.

Came in for a pedicure and the lady did a terrible job. After she used the pumice stone there was still residual dead skin all over my feet that wasn’t removed, which is kind of the point of paying almost $60 for a pedicure. I felt like the whole thing was rushed and the lady didn’t put very much effort into my services. Also some of the staff was rude in my opinion. Me and my friends will not be coming back here.

We were walk ins looking to get pedicures. All 3 of us were seated after a very short wait. The personnel were very friendly and attentive. The pedicures included massages, hot towel wraps, stones and more. Everything felt heavenly. We felt pampered. Our feet look great. It was the best pedicure any of us have had in the past. We will definitely be returning. Kudos to the staff for making it a pampered feet day

Inconsistent service, they greet and offer some customers drinks, but other customers are not serviced the same, appears if you spend more for a service or services you receive a friendly greeting and offered a drink. They charged $15 for toenail polish change, say she told me this, but I couldn't understand a word she said. It's certainly too many nails salons right around the corner to tolerate this! Beware!!

Hit my hails don’t literally 2 weeks ago brand new set they have been falling off and lifting worst job every I should have left the second I walked in there was another woman complaining to management about the exact same thing new set didn’t last two weeks the recommended time before coming for A fill in smh going back to Tammy at million nails in river city more expensive but for the job done it way worth it

My girlfriend went in for a pedicure and SNS on her fingernails. The lady was too rough on our feet and at our toenails. My girlfriends big toe afterwards started bleeding and was swollen for the next few days. They did a rush job on her nails as well, trying to get as many people done as possible. SNS shouldn’t lift but hers did and the edges are not smooth. DO NOT GO HERE. IT IS NOT WORTH THE MONEY!!

Mixed reviews. I've come to the salon a few times. Always courteous, rarely see disgruntled customer. Pro: (1) The Best Reflexology Pedicure Ever and (2) they will honor your time, IF you tell them. I was nervous at first. I arrived at 9:30 & there were 2 ladies. Within 10 min there.were many customers & still only 2 techs. Surprisingly, it worked out wonderful! The lady that did my pedicure was amazing (Tao?? -phonic- towel) & Angie did my full set/gel polish. I finished by noon. Didn't feel rushed. Best pedicure ever!!! My nails are beautiful too, I am hoping that they last!!!

Fast, with great customer service. I just moved to the area from the Beaches and had been going to the same salon for over 10 years. I didn't think I would ever change salons and planned on driving to my old salon. My normal girl couldn't do my nails and I was driving by and decided to stop. Shaun and Ms. Phoyung did a great job on my hands and toes and this is my new salon.

If I could leave zero stars, I would. Lady cut me 8 different times while doing my nails. The nail job was absolutely horrible. When I asked for them to be fixed, a gentleman came over and made them even worse. My nails hurt so bad after leaving the salon. My 2 year old brother could ha e done a better job. I would stay far far away from this place

Male Nail Tech is extremely heavy handed and does sloppy cuticle work. He cut me very badly on my ring finger at the cuticle. He never used antiseptic or stoped and replaced the drill bit. He then used his cuticle oil brush over the BLOOD and put it back in the container. I had a nasty cut and it took awhile to heal. I don’t pay for cuts!! I will never go again.

Love Lotus Nails!! I really appreciate when I walk in they already know who I want for my mani/pedi without me making an appointment or saying a word. (Not sharing her name because she is already in high demand.)The prices are reasonable with pedicures starting at $26 for a basic service. I don't get a manicure to often to recall the basic price. nn

They don’t give you what you ask for and they are not gentle , they are bad quality worker . A women next to me was waiting a good 30 minutes until she got seen . I started going to Lotus nails in 2016 and it’s by far the best nail salon on the North side. I moved out of Jax in 2020 and this place is certainly what I miss most. Lilly is amazing and the Pedicures are the best I have ever had. When I travel back to Jax for work I make the 30 min trip to see her every time. Highly recommend!!

Christine was awesome! Took me as a walking and did a beautiful full set n spa pedicure. Offered me a glass of wine and didn't make me feel obligated to chit chat, let me sit in peace n relax while having my services done. Shes also very funny and sweet. All the staff were very nice. Clean shop and timely service.

The absolute worst experience I’ve ever had in visiting lotus nails was today!!! 1-29-2021 The quality of the service sucked to the upmost. A pedicure should be very relaxing not rushed. The nail tech was very heavy-handed scratched me with her bracelet and hurt my cuticles. Well not recommend this to my enemy!!!

They never disappoint. They took me in as a walkin on Christmas Eve and made me feel welcome! They did an amazing job and did not make me feel like I was rushed at all. In fact They took their time and made sure I was treated great. I appreciate the great customer service and would highly recommend this business!

I went there yesterday and got acrylics over tips and the guy I had was very nice and is amazing at what he does , he was very fast but efficient and offered me and my dad something to drink . I recommend very much to go here . Unfortunately I forgot to get the guys name but this is my new favorite nail place .

I went here coming from Virginia got my nails done on the 10th of July August and they are all off. They cut me so bad on every nail never again. Acrylic was very uneven had lots of bumps. I had to glue my own nails own because the guy kept putting them on wrong and when he told he was he didn't understand.

Decent nail shop, not the best quality but not terrible for the price. Multiple people came in and complained their nails were messed up after only a few days. I got a simple manicure, and the polish is a little bumpy. Good hand massage though. *****update**** 3 days later my nails are chipping.

I would rate the pedi higher 4 stars. The manicure was done at the tall end of my pedicure and felt very rushed. My nails were a mess so didn't get a gel polish. I was sent to dry my toes and I had to ask for at least a clear polish to be put on. I could have done a better job myself.

I love the service and work at this salon. Used to go to Skymark and that place was so unprofessional (techs talking badly about others, to try and get you to see only him/her). Lotus nails fixes a broken nail, in between fill ins, for FREE! Even if you are responsible for the break!

My 1st time going here. I got SNS on my nails and deluxe pedicure. My nails cracked within 3 days and my polish peeled and cracked quicker than that. I wasted time and money and had to go somewhere else to get my nails redid. Would definitely NOT recommend. Very poor service!!

Hidden gem - I got a pedicure here for the first time. They’re only a few minutes down the street from my house and I’m glad I tried them out . They did a great job, wonderful foot massage and took their time with my pedicure, definitely making this my go to spot from now on

I came in showed them a picture of what I wanted my nails; they said they could do it. I left with something I didn’t like, and wasn’t no where near what I asked for. And they were my birthday nails so it just through off my whole outfit.... Now the pedicure was AMAZING!!!!

The nail tech ( a man) put tips on my nails and then liquid gel... my nails were so bumpy and horribly shaped. However the pedicure I had after was wonderful. I'll only go to the second technician from now on. Overall the salon is beautiful and overall service is good.

For your time, the value, and services this is a great place. I got a fill with gel and my toes painted in about an hour. It wasn’t a sloppy job and it was done great. Very nice staff. $65 for gel on both my nails and toes, and my nails are long! Will be coming back.

This IS THE PLACE to go to for nails, sns, pedicure, waxing, etc. Jenny and Julie are the BEST, however, everyone in the shop is very kind and customers appear happy with the job that the other employees do. Would highly recommend this place. Going back in 2 weeks.

Over priced and poor customer service. The nail tech who did my nails name Shaun lacks manners. When I asked him to do a second layer of SNS as I am used to last my nails he declined and said why don’t you go back to your old Salon and that exactly what I will do!!

Tim doesn’t listen he forces customer to get what he likes ombré over pink and white set. Pedicured toes painted white turned brown. Offered drinks no thanks. Idk I have mixed feelings but I won’t go back. Go to ritz more money but worth it

Male tech did horrible job on nails, argued about what I asked (I wanted a coat of white under the glitter). Did not buff or file nails, had to argue and threaten to leave to get them to fix it. The whole experience was unsatisfactory.

Absolutely love them. You feel so welcomed and form a bond with each person here. They are extremely friendly and you're in and out. I've been coming here since the very first week they opened and I haven't had a bad experience yet.

Great Pedicure, Reflexology with some pampering is the way to go. Drinks offered, foot and leg massage was fantastic. I reserved 1 star because the only service I recieved, when I go back and do my nails I will do another review.

They give u this loyal customer card that they stamp each time you spend a certain amount... get all your stamps filled and receive a free service... no other nail salon does that (that I know of) and I think that's really cool.

I’m blown away by Lotus! Everytime I’ve come, it’s pretty full— but don’t get discouraged because the staff moves fast. They have amazing prices for high quality. The staff is super friendly & they know what they’re doing.

The owner runs a well-managed, clean salon. He and the staff are friendly, courteous, and go out of their way to help you and and make you feel at home. So far they have been the best for the River City/Yellow Bluff area.

I've been coming here for at least a year now, and it's always pleasant. The customers are pleasant too. I can always relax while being pampered. The place is always clean, well lit, and everything is in working order.

This place is really nice January 28 was my fist time going. The music is nice and soothing. When I went they were not packed and the lady who did my nails was very nice and sweet. I will definitely be back again.

This place does bomb pedicures. I got the deluxe hot rock and it was so nice. Lots of massage time, lots of attention to detail when doing cuticle work and filing. Beautiful polish job. Will def be back for pedis

Great service. Seriously. My pedicure lasted almost an hour and it was great. She took her time and was very detail oriented. It says a lot when your pedicure lasts just under an hour instead of 15 minutes.

The gel manicure itself was really good. But the man who did it seemed annoyed that he was at work. I'm not overly chatty, but sitting in miffed silence was awkward.

I did not like this nail salon! The prices were too high, the service doesn't last as long as it should, and finally, she couldn't paint a flower on my nail. Sad.
