Louise Leakey Memorial is a place meant to commemorate the great contribution of early conservationists whose contributions paved way way for the study and science of nature as well as the realisation and documentation of Mother Nature as an important aspect for our coexistence here on earth. To begin with the centre forms a major step in the transition of East African Natural History Society - EANHS into Coryndon Museum and consequently into The National Museum of Kenya. The naturalists were led by Louise Leakey himself who did an integral role of donating the whole of the land the museum stands on today and he additionaly never stopped there he went on volunteered to be the museum's unpaid curator for a length of time as a service to Mother Nature an incredible effort nobody was willing to take and that's why the place has been christened 'Louise Leakey memorial,' in the honour of his unending efforts and with this the name and person of Louis Leakey will always be alive and remembered today and forever within the midst of our natural diversity history in National Museum of Kenya, Viva to you Leakey. The centre plays an integral role in wildlife research, advocacy, policy making, impact assessments in natural ecosystems and leading the way in public education on matters nature. Be part of conservation by donating funds and be part of this vibrant memorial.
I visited to watch a play, it's a little classic, but cool and ambient. The natural air-conditioning is also cool. Ideal for afternoon/late evening events. The sound projection is fairly good, no need to project for audiences less than 500 people. The downside, if you have to sit on those chairs for more than 2 hours, I bet you won't enjoy the moments beyond 2 hours, the seats get hard on your back and bum.
Good Auditorium space, the management also rentz it out for events. Good space and nice acoustics. Easily accessible from Westlands and the Nairobi City Centre. The Museum is packed with great historical Kenyan artifacts worth viewing.
The best place you can hold meetings there and also you can book as a seminar room or play skit for kids or adult filming...the place is the best for holding live shows in tv or record something when in a seminar

Need to provide a fan if the stage is used for high table guests. It was very hot.
