Like usual fast and delicious meal. I ordered chicken fried rice and it was very yummy with plenty of chicken cubes in it. Sweet and sour chicken has descent size white chicken piece with just the right size of batter to that is is cooked to perfection. I asked for egg roll to be replaced by with spring roll since I do wanted vegetarian filling, that was done with a CC smile. I ordered also along guy doing... Without almond and without cauliflower.... That was done right, I enjoyed my guy doing very very much. I usually order breaded jumbo shrimp, which is an amazing item, despite the high price. But it is worth every penny. They accommodated my requests and with a smile. What I like about this place is they make every plate for you. No premade stuff that. Is sold to everyone. Today I did my own pick up. They deliver too at reasonable charge. Order direct by phone and save. I don't recommend using Uber... Uber hurt Restaurants and dig deeper into your pocket. Uber charge restsurant 30% of menu price, and they charge you 3.99 then service charge on top of that....and still Uber complains they are losing money!!!! Pick up your own order or find out if restsurant has their own delivery. Skip and doordash cost you less as a client too.

My family and I had a delicious take out meal on our back patio last month; ordered some crispy beef, general tao, chicken balls, vegetable chop suey, sautéed mixed vegetable, bbq pork fried rice & for the first time we tried their honey garlic chicken wings & flat noodles with beef. Everything was hot, and delicious, large generous quantities. Kids approved and even had 2nds, 3rds for the 8yr old (wings, fried rice, chicken balls, mixed veggies & honey garlic sauce got 2X double thumbs up). This is our go to Chinese place here in Orleans. (4.5 stars) The only two things I noticed this time around was when I first opened the flat noodles container it smelt like it was burnt, but luckily as I tried it, there was no burnt flavour. And the honey garlic chicken wings were delicious but swimming in the sauce so the crispy layer was soggy, but the chicken was flavorful. (DISCLOSURE: it’s not a normal thick sauce it’s the delicious wet honey garlic sauce for their ribs dish); we used it all over our rice, kids LOVED it! I think I might ask for the sauce on the side next time to keep the wings crispier, since I normally just order their crispy wings every time anyways.

If I could give no stars I would, the wait time was insane. We ordered over the phone and were told it would take an hour and half. We agreed although it seemed kind of long. After this amount of time we call the restaurant and are told it will take an additional 45 minutes as the food was not ready. Eventually the food arrives and an an item was missing, the food was warm but not enjoyable. Huge chunks of gelatine in the chow mein and the crispy beef had a very powdery consistency. The delivery driver was fantastic and probably the only bright spot in this experience, I felt horrible for him because it's not his fault but he was very politeconsidering the situation. Never again will we order from here. The management would not even address the issues , considering the amount of money our order cost I would assume they would have wanted to rectify the issue but instead only said call back tomorrow. Save yourself the fiasco.

Just moved to Orleans so this was our first time ordering from Lucky Fortune - Didn't love it, didn't hate it. We ordered Combination Plates + Almond Chicken Soo Guy. General Tao was delicious. Chicken Balls were very good with good chicken to batter ratio. The garlic sauce for the Chicken Balls tasted weird. Chicken Fried Rice could have used more green onions + some of the rice grains were still hard, but easy to pick out. Affordable prices. The combination plates were reasonable regarding food quantity, but the soo guy was a bit small for a full order. I would recommend, but I've had better. Didn't love it, didn't hate it.

Haven't ordered from here in a while so decided to try it as we have been disappointed with other Chinese food restaurants in Orleans. On the good side were the spare ribs and sweet and sour soup. The portions are generous but the food itself is not flavourful. Seemed as if it was cooked previously and then microwaved. The chop suey with vegetables looked like it came out of a can. Noodles with shrimp was bland and had very little spice even though it was labelled as a spicy dish. The beef with black bean sauce was not very flavourful and seemed overcooked. Overall disappointed with the flavour and quality.

Avoid this place by any means necessary! I ordered two house special fried rice and combo 5 only to get home and realize that the rice had gone bad. I understand it's the pandemic but serving bad food to your customers is very dubious. I ended up throwing the food away and spending all night in the toilet with severe food poisoning. If I could take back my one star and exchange it for zero star I'd do that in a heartbeat. I'm so angry that I put my family's health at risk and wasted my hard earned money.

We ordered almond chicken Soo guy, crispy beef, a rice dish and vegetable dish that said it was Chinese greens, but it wasn’t. It was just regular vegetables. I expected there to be Napa and bok choy, but there wasn’t. There were no almonds in the Soo Guy and the gravy wasn’t gravy. It was solid gel. The crispy beef was so over done we couldn’t cut it with a knife and some we couldn’t even bite them. Never again.

Ordered through delivery service. 12 open ended egg rolls, 1 order of sweet and sour chicken balls. Delivered and was missing plum sauce so I called. Employee answered and didn’t understand why I was calling so I decided to drive down. They gave me sauce. I drove home only to realize the chicken “balls” are partially raw! And they were more like nuggets. Egg rolls are great and my can of Pepsi was fresh! Never again

On my way home stopped in and ordered some egg rolls and rice. I was the only customer who came in and ordered. All other people who arrived had ordered over the phone and doing pickups. One would think a small order of egg rolls and rice would be very quick. Nope! just over 1/2 hours sitting there waiting. No one ever came out from the back to apologize for the delay. Once at home, found the rice to be soggy.

I ordered the Cantonese chomein, the food had no taste. Huge portion but, would not order again because the noodles had no flavour, the meat was fine but together as a meal it failed. This was without a doubt the worst Chinese food I've ever had. (Uber eats)

There have been problems with every order and we have tried many times. Ordered online and paid yet they said they didn't get it. Waited 2 hours for another order that I had placed the day before. 50% of the time they send chow mien instead of the chop suey ordered. BTW - your order number is your phone number. Spent 10 minutes trying to find the order number on the receipt. Not recommended.

Ordered through UberEats as they were offering 30% off. Got my order within great time, but 1 dish was missing. Called the restaurant, they had a lot of difficulty tracking my order, but they were able to and said they would get my missing dish to me. I eventually got it (1h15min later...) but I was pleased that they went out of their way to ensure I had my correct order.

The food from this place is great. Usually, ordering is quick and easy. But if it's a special day or occasion, forget about it. I ordered at 4:30, and web site I could pickup at 5. I didn't get my food until after 7. That's ridiculous. They really need a better system. If I have to wait, find some way to tell me I have to wait. This is the second time this has happened.

Ordered the sweet and sour boneless pork… very dry hard to eat. Not cooked properly, had one egg roll still cold… evidently not cooked thoroughly. tried to order rice as well that was decent but not ideal. Never had such a bad experience with this place, it’s usually spot on!!!! :(

Quality food, quick service. I like that the owner/manager packs it himself, less chance of getting home to find out you are missing a part of your order. General Tao is highly recommended by my better half ;-) My only recommendation is they need to put more spare rib sauce to cover the ribs, otherwise they dry out more quickly.

One of the most authentic Chinese restaurants in Ottawa. General Taos chicken and beef rice noodles are my favorites. Egg rolls are special too.

This is a takeout restaurant serving high quality North American Chinese food . Excellent portions and delicious every time. The restaurant is clean and maintained, and pick up is quick and easy. They have their own website, and are on Skip the Dishes. Prices vary!

We had a fantastic dinner last night. Everything was fresh and crispy dishes were actually crispy. We always get the crispy beef and now also order fried tofu with general tao sauce for my vegetarian son. Both are delicious as are the other dishes. Delivery is always on time. I'm glad we found this place years ago.

Just ordered for pickup tonight. Buyer beware. They seem to substitute chicken with porc, even if porc is not in the item you ordered. The food tasted very old and the meat was very dry...almost as if it had been cooked twice. My wife and kids could not even eat it. Worst Chinese food we've had in a long time.

  • Marc Gamache

I am not going back ! Do not order a combination plate ! It wasn't good at all. Chicken balls were balls of dough. Garlic spare ribs were dry. And the rice was almost just white rice. Also had the general Tao. Wasn't as bad. The egg rolls were good. Too bad. It used to be a good place. Not sure what changed.

When you order from Lucky Fortune! You always feel FORTUNATE to have found such an amazing Meal!!! So YUMMY!! Clean and FRIENDLY service! Always great to hear the chatter in the back kitchen! You truly know you get Chinese! The Sweet and Sour smells coming from the kitchen will bring you back for more!

  • Hilary H

The food and service is always good here. I find the portions are large, and fresh! The only thing I personally didnt care for was the sauce on the chicken balls. It wasn’t the right colour or consistency, very light pink colour & a little runny. Other than that I would recommend this place!

  • Natasha Camacho-Gomes

Our go to for Chinese food. We always get combo plates and the food is always fresh. If possible order from them directly and not through Uber/Skip, delivery is faster and the food is hotter. Would recommend the bacon fried rice. Their to go containers are also the bomb and reusable.

Always a great experience with lucky fortune! The food is always delicious. My go to Chinese food. Their website is user friendly and efficient! (And less expensive then ordering through a 3rd party)

It seems that this place has come under new management. Their food is a shadow of what it used to be .The flavour is all gone and the proportion of real food vs. filler has changed to what you see in low end (North American Styled) Chinese

Love the Cantonese Chow Mein. Unbelievably generous with meats and veggies. Fast delivery and they keep records by phone number so you don’t have to hassle saying your address each time. Best Fortune cookies.

Ordered a combo 8 . The portions weren’t great . Everything was kinda dry and didn’t really taste fresh. It wasn’t even hot. I feel like it would’ve been a lo better if it was fresh and not dry. More

Lucky Fortune has incredible food. Always delicious and comes fast so it's hot. Also they don't add filler veggies, there is plenty of meat in all their dishes. A favourite at our house.

Tao chicken wasn’t really fresh it was tough and dry inside. The topping is a sweet chili jam instead of general Tao sauce. A nice touch of sesame on top looks good though.

The food is always excellent and the portions are a good size. Ordered delivery tonight, was told about 40 minutes, it was here in 25 and is fresh!
