Playground
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The playground at Luuwit View Park is a hit with kids! It’s well-designed with a variety of engaging equipment suitable for different age groups. The area is clean, safe, and offers plenty of space for children to explore and enjoy. A wonderful feature of this family-friendly park.
Restrooms
⭐⭐⭐⭐ The restrooms at Luuwit View Park are well-maintained and conveniently located, contributing to a comfortable and hassle-free visit. They demonstrate the park’s commitment to cleanliness and visitor satisfaction. Solid facilities for a public space.
Picnic area
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The picnic area at Luuwit View Park is a true gem. It’s spacious, well-maintained, and equipped with ample seating. With beautiful surroundings and great views, it’s the perfect place for a relaxing outdoor meal or gathering. Truly a delightful spot for all ages.
I went for a music event, but also checked out the playground. There is a nice sized parking lot (filled up quickly during the music event). There were nice paved walking paths for those with strollers or mobility issues. The bathrooms were nice and clean. The playground is well suited for kids ages 2-12yrs old. Most of the climbing structures are fun for older kids. The water and sand areas were better suited for the toddler age. The skate park is located on the other end of the park from the parking lot and play ground. I thought it was nice how close the playground was to bathrooms and the stage, it was easy to go from listening to music over to the playground with my daughter. I did notice some picnic tables (not many). Our event had food, most everyone just ate on the grass or chairs they brought to the event. The park itself looked very clean and the upper part didn't appear to have any homeless or abandoned cars. (On that day i didn't go down to the skate park end, so I cannot speak to that part of the park).
This park has a little something for everyone. From a covered stage for performances, lots of picnic tables and grill areas, walking lathes, a community garden. A kids rock climbing area, ping pong tables, basketball hoops, a small special needs play area and a skate park (with bowls to drop in , and areas for street skating) in one corner. In the main area there is a younger kids play area with slides, and climbing equipment. A larger climbing structure and swings, and a water area with a large sand box and sprinklers. All the areas here have a rubbery, slightly bouncy, flooring for added fun and safety. Drinking fountain with a dog bowl drinking fountain and clean, convenient restrooms. A fenced off dog park is also available. Because the park is spread out there are multiple entrances with plenty of parking. Lastly I really like the wide range of people that frequent the park. From Elderly adults walking there dogs, to teenagers skateboarding, and toddlers running about. All coexisting nicely together.
I love this park. Lots going on playground wise for various ages, one of the best I've seen with lots to do. It has musical instruments like xylophones, a sand box area, water fountains for people and dogs, a large structure with seating, and bathroom access.
Playground
Has multiple play areas that are similar but intended for different age / ability groups which are noted on the play structures. The swing set does have two adult sized accessibility swings for use.
Restrooms
Most stalls are locked and the one that was open was generally filthy and a drunken disaster was evident. Though I went later in the day
Dog-friendliness
Has a designated dog area that is fenced to the side of the parking lot. Within the playground area the water fountain has an option to fill the built in dog bowl at the bottom
We love this park! I wish I had discovered it sooner. It is clean, well-maintained, beautiful, lots of space to play in the green grass, well designed concrete paths for smooth wheelchair access and bike riding, a sandpit with water feature, amazing kid safe climbing structures, swings, slides, a mister, a variety of other play ground toys, an amphitheater, beautiful wood picnic tables, coal BBQ, and large, metal xylophones. There are a good number of bathrooms, which are clean, and have running water. The park also has a small hill with winding concrete path that leads to a beautiful sculpture. Adjoining the park is a small, fenced, dog park, as well as a skate park. Each time we come here we discover something new to love!
Went here for a b'day party today and was presently surprised. It was a very nice clean park. Cool structures. Could use a bit more shade as it was a very hot day. We didn't realize there was a small water feature till the end of the party.
Playground
Play ground was really cool with original features. A sand area that was really shaded and even a small water area.
Restrooms
Restrooms were decently clean for a park. Very basic but a good amount of them.
Dog-friendliness
There is a dog park area attached. Didn't check it out but it looked nice.
Picnic area
There is a big area in the middle that has tables and shade and a few other tables with very little shade.
This is forever one of our absolute favorite neighborhood parks. There's truly something for everyone in the family. It's expansive. It's gorgeous. My only complaints are that the trees surrounding the sand pit... We're clearly decided to be put in by someone who doesn't have kids. It blocks the rest of the playground so that you cannot see. So if you have more than one kiddo, and they are playing in the other areas... They are now not in the eyeline of the parent at the sandpit. Also, they need to just do some repairs. The rubber ground is pretty wrecked. The misters no longer work. And the water fountains seem to be permanently broken. Anyway. The parks rad. Have fun.
Love the mosaic sundial. The views from the platform are beautiful. I enjoy the paved trails and the little shoot offs into overgrown natural paths. The dog park is quite generous and the abstract playgrounds are nice. I wish there was more visibility between play ground areas, it makes it difficult to keep an eye on two ages of kids if they want to do separate things.
Playground
Multiple play options, a slide built into the hill, climbing structures, musical pipes, sand box, swings.
Restrooms
Adequate restrooms
Dog-friendliness
Large dog park
Picnic area
Covered picnic area and several tablea scattered around the park.
This place definitely has a great view. I only came across one grill by the pavilion so not sure if they have any more. It's not in the shade so go when the weather permits. Besides the great views that a breathtakingly beautiful so is the playground. Great place for the kids of all ages. Great view by the grill to see everything. Dog park is big and the dogs that were there seemed very friendly. Park is located in a very nice neighborhood and kind of hidden which makes it even better. Definitely would visit here again.
Playground
Very safe place for kids of all ages.
Picnic area
Small and clean. Only 1 bbq grill I saw.
This park is amazing! I think the planners did a wonderful job with the layout and integrating nature into the play area. They have the soft new material to keep the kids safe, but also rugged on the edges to keep in tune with nature. They ha e musical instruments, that I found very entertaining. Bathrooms were uniquely artistic and very functional. Great field to play. Shaded structure (that looked like a Star Wars Officer ship), that was designed to allow air and light to filter through. Amazing park and I'm glad it's in my Neighberhood.
The park is amazing and supremely accessible. I am scouting for a park to hold our company picnic (I work with individuals who have developmental and physical disabilities) and Luuwit has everything I could want in a park. The people I work with love coming here because of the access they gain to fun and play! Ample parking (accessible parking galore!) Creative and inclusive play areas for all abilities Accessible bathrooms Misting area for hot weather (instead of a fountain, it's mist!)
the variety of structures is refreshing whether they be man-made or natural—i particularly appreciated the use of plants and landscaping. i enjoyed walking a path through a serene prairie-like area to another section with a climbing rock, and pink metal ping pong tables (i’ll have to remember paddles and balls for our next visit) and of course i could spend all day in front of the xylophones—those are so fun. open, clean facilities. our preschoolers loved this—highly recommended.
Great park with accessible parking. Amenities are many: amphitheater, picnic benches w/ BBQ grills, soccer field, jungle gyms, water and sand table, fields for kite flying or frisbee, 2 ping pong tables (Bring your own balls and paddles), skate park, dog park! and the bathrooms are very clean. Airy. Only con is that I feel there there isn't enough shelter. It's an open park with bike and walking paths. And I love the structures. Lots of dogs! Great place for animal lovers
FABULOUS!! Everything a park can offer and more. Lush beautiful green grass. Plenty of outdoor space. Awesome play ground for children. Skate park. Basket ball court. Ample parking. Bathrooms, clean. Very large, fenced dog park with wonderful grass. Beautiful community garden. Walking trails. Views of Mount Hood and Mount Saint Helens. A place to enjoy the sunset after a wonderful day of picnicking and family get togethers. Urban oasis in a rural like setting.
Very cool park! Lots of neat things for the kids to play on with soft turf underneath. It's a BIG park with lots of little trails that lead off among the wildflowers to a small skatepark, a community garden (with a relaxing swing out front), and a fenced dog park. The mister area would be nice on a hot day. There's not a whole lot of tables, but lots of other areas to sit in the grass. Great mountain views and accessible bathrooms. Would visit again!
Gorgeous views, cute little fenced dog park, covered pavilion with some of the widest plank picnic benchs possible I mean wider than a full sized bed, definitely not a spite bench. Lots of sturdy structures for children to climb on, swing from, slide down. There is free parking, stunning views, lots to do for the whole family and its nestled in this really cute neighborhood by 122nd NE Fremont. I had never been to this area but I am glad I did.
Nice park. If you want Ted to ride around at at night, this woudl be the place to go as they have a lit pathway at the bottom area of the park. The basketball court had a climbing are by it. Pretty fun for the kids. The playground area has a rubber soft ground. Not entirely soft but softer than concrete. Great for kids. They also ha e a specific swing for kids who may have some sort of disability which is also great, gives that accessibility.
We checked this place out last year for our company picnic which was then postponed to this year. I swear there were more tables last year. It was a huge disappointment to arrive and find only 3 tables for 60 people! But the place was very nice, everyone liked it, lots of room to spread out. Even though it was a hot day, it was very cool under the shelter. Will definitely return next year (prepared with folding tables and chairs!)
What a great park! Lots of tables, wide open fields, and great climbing structures plus a sandbox! The kids loved seeing the airplanes landing while they were on the swings. Just keep in mind that aside from one pavilion there is almost no shade or rain cover anywhere, and no covered seating anywhere at all. They have 4 bathrooms available, one of which is wheelchair accessible (although it's not labeled)
This is our favorite park. The climbing structures are interesting and fun. The slide is designed so it cannot be fallen off of. There's a large covered picnic area, although it's often reserved for private parties. There's a very nice sand box with a water pump and willow-the tunnel. There's a huge open grass area. And at the bottom of the park there is a rock climbing wall and skateboard park.
We love this park for all ages!! Has rubbery ground and lots of fun, unique, new-age equipment. There is a dog park off to the side & an outdoor amphitheatre of sorts with lots of picnic tables. Bathrooms are great! Soccer field and paved bike/walking trail around whole park. Also there is a mist pad area that sprays mist during the summer to cool down. And a sand pit that has a fun water pump.
Amazing view of the mountains and nice climbing structures. A small sand pit surrounded on 3 sides by small hedges is a nice touch. Also a huge field as well. I went to a friend's party that had rented the main gazebo-like structure and our kids had a blast (7 and 10.) Despite being on the opposite side of the river from home I'm tempted to make the long drive anyways for a picnic with the fam.
This park something for everyone. Covered picnic tables, two playgrounds with impressive climbing structures, a sand play area with water, a rock climbing wall, ping pong tables (BYO paddles and balls), logs and rocks to climb on, bbqs, gravel walking paths, basketball court, disc swing, open fields, a skatepark, xylophones to play, a fenced dog park, and a beautiful view of Mt. St. Helens.
Great park. Usually go in the morning hours to take my dog running. End up seeing the same people regularly, they are all nice. A smile and "hi" go along way with the regulars. Love seeing the community in action as there's always something going on and people walking. There are bathrooms with flushing toilets. Portland Parks come regularly to maintain the park and keep the bathrooms clean.
Very nice park with a variety of activities. We come here all the time and appreciate the beautiful area. There should be more shady places to sit for us grandparents. Also, there's a dangerous structure on the ground with bolts sticking out. Kids are barefoot in the sandy are and jump off and can hurt their feet. My daughter said there used to be a fountain there. Please address this.
This park has a nice covered area. This park would make a great place for small birthday parties as the playground is small. Best suited for children 3+ who enjoy climbing.
Playground
Playground is small and suited for ages 3+ that enjoy climbing.
Dog-friendliness
Has a dog park and nice walking path around the park
Picnic area
Covered picnic area is amazing.
Great place for picnics, parties, BBQs, children, friends and pets. Lots to do, and lots of open space. Great picnic table areas or seating areas. We had never been but we can see it from the road so we thought we'd take advantage of the lovely weather and check it out. We will definitely be back with a blanket the next time we need a break from our screens. Highly Recommend!
Beautiful park with two playgrounds, extensive walking paths, benches, a skatepark, toilets and a fenced in dog park. Be careful in the dog park, some people don't know how to control their territorial dogs but other than that I've had a pleasant experience each visit
Dog-friendliness
There is a dog park and a lot of paths to walk on leash around the park
I love walking around this park! My kid loved playing in the water/sand area. There was a bit of shade here and two benches for parents. It could use a little more shade, but the biggest problem I had with it is that two people were smoking pot right next to the playground. It is a giant park, if you have to smoke at least do it away from the little kids!!
Ok, this park is so cool ! There’s a lot to do! Wall climbing, skate park, and the coolest play structure. The website is saying there’s a slash pad , no. There is no splash pad . It’s a mist pad. So on a hot day there’s not s place to cool off . The only covered area was taken over by a preschool . This not a park for a hot day.
Ambience! Beautiful sunsets in varieties daily when sun is out! You can see Mt Hood to the east and Mt St. Helens to the north! As a matter of fact, the Natives back in their day named Mt St. Helens for the activity it presented them back them! Mighty Mountain! Beautiful community garden! Friendly/quiet neighborhood! Luvualwayz!
This place was awesome! Great place to let my dogs get exercise they have nice clean restrooms and the park is very clean also!!
Dog-friendliness
Every person who had a dog seem to make sure they were on a leash if they aren't friendly!!
Picnic area
The picnic area is nice clean and coverd great place!!
Great playground near an old family farm. Be prepared your kids will get wet and sandy! There are fountains to run through and a sand box hidden in the trees. Public Restrooms available. No shade over the general playground or swings so the blue ground gets hot for crawling babies or bare feet. Soccer fields.
A treasure on the east side. Plenty of room to run and play. Early Monday morning visit left us a little disappointed in our fellow people as the place was trashed. There are plenty of garbage cans, how can we encourage weekend park visitors to use them? We love this park and want to take good care of it
keep a close eye on your children here, this child tried to lure the child I watch to an unknown destination. With very sketchy adult who would not acknowledge me. The little girl kept trying to take her out of my line of sight and it was not very discreet. three stars because it is a nice park
Such a beautiful park. You can walk, run, sit and journal. Very spacious and has enough parking space. Clean bathrooms. It has a swing it reminds me of my childhood. Pretty during sunset. I was abel to catch a rainbow as well. I highly recommend this park. Kids and pet friendly as well.
This park is situated behind Shaver Elementary and has a great view of Washington state and Mt. St. Helen's. Along with a park for the kids, there's also a dog park.
Features
Playground: Yes
Public restrooms: Yes
Off-leash dog area: Yes

Great park to play, bbq, or relax at. It has enough space for you to find a spot, relax and enjoy the sun but it also offers a lot of different play structures for the little ones to enjoy, it also has a gazebo perfect for outdoor birthday parties (not sure if you have to rent it).
Awesome park. Huge area along with a dog park next to it. Everything you could ask for along with a merry go round. Basketball courts, table tennis, skate park, trails, art sculptures. Picnic shelters along with fire pits to grill out. Come early on a nice day for the fire pits.
Great park. We were using the shelter. The kids playground looked awesome. We enjoyed the sounds the tubes, xylophone made.
Restrooms
Well it's nice they are in building. Too much pee on the toilet seat and not enough tissue or seat cover to make me want to use.
The dog Park is ok. Grass would be nice, it's small gravel only. It would be really nice if the dog park had a rest room. Us older folk would really appreciate it. To have to take the dogs to the car and then go to the R/R can cause problems. 5 stars if that happened.
It's a great park and space, but a lot of theft all over the park any time of day. Don't leave anything in your car of value. Someone has been quietly breaking glass and stealing the contents out of your car, and continues to do so within the last 2-3 years.
Great neighborhood park but build for more. Need some flash mob or impromptu Shakespearian play to use this place, then it would get 5 stars. ;) I'll be watching for the summer PDX programs here, though, great pace for a movie in the park, for sure.
I dont visit Portland very often but we came here for a little ladys' birthday and it was a wonderful place to have it!....i really enjoyed the sundial! There is also plenty of shaded areas and its wheelchair accessible which was really great too!
Such a cute neighborhood park, and on one side is a nice little fenced in off-leash dog park area. The gigantic mosaic sundial sculpture is neat and a fun way to explain how the sun moves and how to tell time to kids. I appreciate that they
Love this park. Amazing diverse playground with multiple sections. A sand pit. Large slide. Musical instruments to play. Climbing hills for kids. Tons of open green space to run and play. Large covered picnic area plus tables scattered
First timer! And omg, this little gem in the middle of suburbia is definitely family oriented and well kept by the city or county. It's super clean and busy with families and their pets. I really enjoyed coming here, and you will too!
Nice big park with plenty of cool things. Easy and cheap way to bring the family somewhere in a Saturday and just hang out. Big open spaces, a skate park, and cool playground equipment. Not a ton of shade during direct summer sun.
This park has it all. Dog park. Good walking trails. Community garden. Picnic tables and bbq pits. Skate park. Basketball court with climbing wall and ping pong tables on it. It's clean and has a good neighborhood feel.
What a wonderful park! I brought my two year old and she had a blast. What I love about this place is the variety of activities for all ages. It’s good for little kids and big kids. We will be retuning soon!
Awesome clean park, no worries about my pup stepping in broken glass or eating a meth baggy - of course, the bathrooms aren't open, but that's to be expected. Overall an excellent lil nearby escape
Loved it. Took my kids, ages 2-10, and there was something to do for all of them. Stayed 2 hours. Plenty of shady areas to sit. Trails to bike on if you want to just cruise around. We will be back.
Nice park with a good play area for kids and separate dog area. Many people were out walking on the paths, and others were skateboarding. All around nice place to stop with the family.
Cool park, lots to do and lots of room to run around. My only complaint is that when it's hot outside there isn't really any shade other than a large covered area with picnic tables.
Nice park. Went for birthday party for grandson. Nice little playground. Not sure if it has any other amenities.
Restrooms
Nice restrooms for a public park. Did not smell.
Lovely park, great open space for kids, families, and picnics. Great playground and lots of room to move. Parking is ok unless there are events, but local parking is available.
This is a clean and great park for kids of all ages! You can bring your whole family and your dog will enjoy the dog park also. Lovely park, great views and room to roam.
Very nice picnic area. We rented the covered area. Very clean park. Lots of space to skate. Fun playground and sandbox for the kids. Rock climbing wall was fun.
Clean and spacious. Beautiful landscape. Lots of outdoor equipment for children to play. Nice large covered area for gathering. Clean restrooms great parking.
Wow, this place is worth the drive. This park has everything! Play areas, splash pad, picnic area. My sons also loved watching the airplanes flying over head.
If you bring your dog here, be prepared to rinse it off. There’s a mud hole and few things are more enjoyable for a dog to plop down in the mud on a hot day.
Great dog park! Wonderful play structures for all ages of children. Surrounded by nice walking paths (or great path to teach your kid how to ride a bike!)
Great skatepark, no comment on the surrounding park ( too much Karen energy) The luuwit view skate park is a large bowl with some mellow features. I'd
Good playground for toddlers and kids. Playground is in okay condition. Lots of wear in a few short years. Grass fields, but get muddy quickly.
Beautiful large park with lots of walking paths. Fun playgrounds for the kids. Lots of tables and grassy areas to picnic. Love this park!
Beautiful park with great views. Good skate park and the actual park itself is wonderful. My 7yr old and 1yr old have a great time here
Huge park with a fantastic layout and amazing views of the mountains on a clear day. Gets a little windy sometimes so be prepared.
Small but beautiful park. Great for the little ones. And there is an area where your dogs can play also. Very cool.✌️love
Great place for kids, to enjoy sun, great views. Nice open area with new playground equipment. Little covered pavilion.
Was great till my car was broken into and wallet stolen . Looks like a great place but can't leave anything in your are
Nice open dog park and a few jogging trails. Very clean but also pretty basic, not many trees or interesting features
Great space for kiddos to run around. Might be a little too big for kids under 2. Overall fun and creative space.
I am so excited about this park! What a fantastic place that's only going to get better as the plants grow in.
The PP&R website says there is a splash pad, but there is only an area with misters. It's a great, clean park.
Such a great park! It's very nice, lots of unique structures for kids to play on! My daughter loves this park
Gorgeous park. This is a legit playground for kids of all ages. They have a community garden as well.
The park was fun to see. They had cool features for shading instead of normal looking ones at parks.
Beautiful park. Basketball hoops, multiple playing areas, picnic, trails, dog park and lot more.
It's pretty clean and a nice place to take kids, not as much "action" like some other parks
Beautiful park with lots to explore. Nice skatepark and path for toddler to ride his bike.
Sunny and wide open! Good for bike riding for beginners. Ping pong tables too.
Nice park, really big and more than one play structure for the little ones.
Great park. Chill vibes with clean restroom and easy parking
