Just walked in for the first time. I said "hello, how are you twice" and got zero response other than a cold stare. I asked for a sausage roll and she ignored me for another 40 seconds and fluffed around looking at me but ignoring me. She finally gets what I asked for and says "20c surcharge for card". She walks away while I'm paying, doesn't look at me once or even respond when I said thank you. I don't think I've ever felt more unwanted in a store or had such a cold reception.either. it's not hard to acknowledge people who are putting money in your pocket or just to show some common courtesy. I will not go back again unfortunately which is a shame as I'd have loved to have supported a local bakery during these times and having just moved to Highett is now my first impression of the local area. Buy your daily coffee and pastries from Ferguson Plarre across the road. They are lovely people.

Called in to have look and got husband custard tart. However it was not long before closing so shelves practically empty but can see they have lots of meat pie varieties (unfortunately they don't do spinach rolls), bread and rolls and lots of sweet treats. Will have to go back but in the morning! 9.6.23 walking past mid morning and went in as last time it was late and not much left, but there was a lot, so I got jam donut, fruit scone and for husband French vanilla slice. They also had vanilla slice, so not exactly sure how French one different. They also had hot snacks for sale and I couldn't resist a potato cake! Nice and thin and crispy but yes, not a healthy choice.

Where to begin? I have been a local of Highett for over 6 months now and this "bakery" is easily the most dilapidated , unhygienic business going around, last weekend I bought a steak and kidney pie along with a steak and cheese one, dry and horrible to put it nicely, pastry was tough I gave 80% of the pies to my dog, nothing is made fresh and the owner also had the audacity to sneeze inside her mask and continue to serve me, PLEASE AVOID FOR YOUR HEALTH

Love this bakery! I've been coming here for years, even when I didn't live locally I'd stop in or get off the train just to buy a pie but more importantly the most delicious jam& cream buns. Tea cakes, passionfruit cheesecake & vanilla slices, so yum. Love the sliced round loaf bread too

Great bakery in Highett and worth going for the Best ever Vietnamese Pork or Chicken Rolls in Melbourne - great crunchy roll with soft inside filled with flavour - fresh coriander, chilli, carrots and sauces ! they also sell great choice of pies pasties dim sims, and spring rolls.

Came here to grab some lunch. Busy little place but the line moved quickly as the staff were so efficient. We had the best pasties ever, so delicious and the pastry was perfect. We came back for bread the next day, soft and delicious. What a great bakery! Thanks guys

Awesome little bakery in highett! Great pies, sausage rolls etc, if you are in to Vietnamese pork rolls this is the place to go! A definite as far as bakeries go if you are in the Highett area

I'm really happy to have found this place. The Vietnamese rolls (Banh Mi) were excellent (best we'd had in a long time) at a good price ($6.50 for a roast pork roll). Definitely going back!

Just bought a cake and a biscuit. Not sure how long they have been there for. By no means fresh. Both went in the bin. I will definitely not be back. Woolworths is only 2 min walk away

Absolutely atrocious place. Noting worse than being sold stale bread and then a business not owning it. Their sausage rolls were also horrible. Avoid at all costs
