Mack car rental has more or less hiden fees. The prices are almost the same as other big rental com,pagny such as Hertz, but with a very bad service and old. Becareful with the one way fees which are incredibly expensive. If you can, use another rental car compagny. Please read the folowing part in order to know the story. 'I rent a car to MACK car rental from the 30th of august until the 2nd of august. I was traveling from Split to Zagreb. I booked the car via the website VIP car. For 3 days, I booked a Twingo for 168 euros with GPs. The pick up location was Split, and the drop off location was Zagreb airport. I was very happy and confirmed the location. When I came to pick up the car, in Split, the manager told me that I have to pay for the GPS which was 15 euros per day. I was a little bit suprise. Then he asked me to check my voucher. And surprisingly, the voucher indicates only 120 euros plus additional fees like the GPS. So I said ok. He was nice, and offered it to me at only 10 euros per day. I said ok. But at the end, he said you have to pay 100 euros more for the dropp off in a different location. So the total prices was 250 euros which was close to what you have to pay in Hertz or Europcar for example. I forgot to precise that the VIP car website took me also 20 euros more. The total prices was 270 euros. He also tried to force me to take an additional insurance since the franchise is fixed to be 1000 euros. ALso, they did not have the Twingo. He gave me a Golf TD. Hopefully, I had this car. This car shoudl be aproximatly 5 years old or more. The tires were at the limits. There were many bumps on the car (you can Wonder what is the use of the franchise. ALso, the car had 106000 km. I can"t imagine how was the twingo car. Now, I took the car and drove for one day. I noticed that somethin was wrong with the GPS. It was swithching off like this for no reason couples of times. every time I had to swith it on and reset it. ALso, sometime, it was unable to download the map. Once it did not send me to the exact location. I was not far, less than one km, but it was the exact location while the adress was right. The last day, I wanted to fill the car with gaz. I asked for the closest gaz station. It was mention to be at 1.2 km away. In reality it was close to 5 km. Anyway this GPS was not working correctly. Once I arriveed to Zagreb airport, it was really the mess to park the car. There were so many rental compagny in the parking, and nobody knows the MACK rental compagny. So I had to leave the car in a forbiden parking. Once I gave back the car to MACK, I told them that the GPS was not working correctly and I want a refund for it. They chekc the GPS for 1 minutes, and said that it was working correctly. I debated that they can not check it for 1 minutes. They need to drive with it and they need to go deeply to see that it was working correctly. Finaly, they wanted me to meet the general manager of the compagny. I was unable to wait since my plane was in 1h15. They told me that they are going to contact me. They never contact me. ANd now, after I contacted them, they claim that the GPS is new. Maybe the definition of new is a little bit different in this compagny, since when I see the damage on the car, I would not rent a car like this. In conclusion, if you want to rent a car via MACk, you are going to pay the same amount than other compagny such as HERTZ, and you will get an old car for this with a very bad service. MACK rental car is a kind of scam.

This is a repeat review since I actually worked with two M.A.C.K. (SPU and DBV) during a recent rental. Just wanted to make sure it shows up on both places- Was staying at Sheraton Dubrovnick, decided to take family to Plitvice National Park, but none of the major companies had any rental cars available. I was hesitant to use a local rental company, but decided to check with the M.A.C.K. office located at the Sheraton. The representative was great and had a BMW X3 waiting out front the next morning by 9AM. To be more specific, it was a brand new BMW X3 Diesel Hybrid with M styling package. Anyways, had a great road trip to Plitvice (the views on the drive were amazing). Subsequently decided to change our flights to leave from Split. Once again the M.A.C.K. representatives were on the spot and coordinated the drop-off at SPU...this included arranging for delivery of the car back to DBV since it was already reserved the next day (based on my original plans to bring the car back). I was a little worried when I didn't have all of the paperwork when dropping the car off at SPU...the reps verbally assured me everything would be fine. A day later, M.A.C.K. sent an electronic invoice and everything was as stated. Great people, great company, great cars...I will definitely rent from here again. Actually, there was one problem with this rental experience... the car was so nice, my wife wants to buy one now.

I would highly recommend renting from MACK in Croatia. I rented my car from Slavko at the Split location. Everything was so fast and efficient. There was a wide selection of cars available and they were very accommodating to my needs. Due to the changing conditions of borders opening and closing, I needed to change my return dates many times. Slavko was so nice and friendly and extremely helpful with all of the changes I had to make. I was going to rent the car for just one month, but ended up renting the car for 9 months. I had an option of returning the car at different locations, it did not have to be returned to Split. All of the associates at MACK were very fast in responding to any of my questions and very nice to work with. I really suggest using MACK when renting a car in Croatia.

Small office, small ambitions. I could talk about the fact that online reservations are never confirmed or the availability of vehicles is very low ... But no need to talk about all these faults because the agency is so disappointing. After several emails, and the printing of a confirmation, you will be surprised to come and collect your previously reserved vehicle which is ultimately not available because "sorry, we have made the vehicle available to another person". A word of advice, do not enter your bank details on the reservation site. Very disappointing ! I recommend that you go see the "XL" rental agency, which listens to its customers and is available. THEY WERE A SOLUTION FOR US! I do not recommend M.A.C.K at all, to flee!

When the large, international rental car company did not have the correct car that I needed for my family (that I had reserved months in advance), MACK Car Rental came to the rescue. I worked with Nino at the Split airport, and he was understanding of my situation and extremely helpful. They had the type of car we required, and had someone bring it from downtown to the airport. They were professional, and were even able to accommodated my need to drop the car at the Zagreb airport upon our departure. Nino and MACK really helped me (and our family) out when the large, international rental car company completely screwed up the situation - should have looked to book with them originally.

Never, under any circumstances, use M.A.C.K. for any reason. We rented the car in Zagreb and returned the car in Split today. We assumed all would be fine. But no. The agent at MACK charged us almost 300 dollars for "damage" to the rims of two tires. We never had any accident, never heard any noise. And in any case, the scratches such as they were, were normal wear and tear when you drive any car, and incredibly minor. The reasons he suggested how it could have happened were laughable. It is obviously a scam. They want to get more money from you. DO NOT RENT FROM THIS COMPANY. And we are out 300 dollars.

We rented a SEAT hatchback on Easter weekend for the drive back to Dubrovnik by way of Mostar. Slavko Lolic, the General Manager for the Split office, was gracious and very patient with us given that we were virtually unable to text or call (we communicated via e-mail!) He even met us late on Saturday - ahead of a two-day Easter Holiday - and again on Monday morning to accommodate our pick-up. The rental was fair, honest and the car was without any problems. And the price was quite competitive - 80 euros for the rental, supplemental insurance and a Dubrovnik airport drop-off. Thumbs up...thanks, Slavko!

You can't go wrong choosing them. Great reliable car, I was able to pick up in split city and return to the airport. Slavko in Split city was super helpful and kind. The hold on my card was released after 4 days. Just one thing to improve, it would be nice to have a drop off service from airport location to teh airport. Even though it is just about 8 min walk, if they had a golf cart to take us to the airport would be good because it was really hot and we had two heavy backpacks and a carry on.

Had a great experience with MACK rental car. We were late returning the car and the team member waited for us to arrive and waived the late fee. We also left a book behind in the car and they mailed it back to us in another country. Their office is located in a 5 Star hotel so it's a great place to grab a coffee/meal while you pickup or drop-off your car. Overall, it was a seamless, worry-free and pleasant experience. Great customer service! I would absolutely use them again. Thank you!

Insurance scam! Here's how they do it. First, they make you take out extra insurance for 20 euro's a day. THEN, when you have ANY damage, whether it is a small pit or scratch, they say that extra insurance is VOID, because 'You should have called the police'. Who the **** calls the police for a scratch on a rental car? As if police would come for such a minor thing. I have rented cars all over the word, and never met this kind of scam before. Be warned, avoid!!!

We had a great experience renting a car from M.A.C.K. Since making the reservation with Mr. Slavko very helpful and when we got the car at the airport with the person who was waiting for us, Mr.Ante, very attentive and explanatory. We stayed sixteen days, a practically new vehicle with low mileage, in general, it was a perfect, worry-free and pleasant experience. Excellent customer service! I will definitely use it again. We ended up having to rent a car from Mack because Hertz overbooked its available cars and did not have a vehicle for us. As a result, we were quite unsure about what to expect from Mack, but were pleasantly surprised by the service and the quality of the car (BMW 1 series). The process went smoothly and we were able to drop off the vehicle in Split without any delay.

Collected car from Split in-town office for one week rental. Was upgraded to Suzuki 4x4 which was good. Last minute change of departure plan however required amending the drop off location, which Slavko and his team accommodated without any fuss. My first time using MACK rentals, I will certainly be back. Well done Slavko, thanks again.
