If I could give no stars I would. I booked an MOT at this garage, first time ever using them. My appointment was for 4:30, 06/07/2022. At 5:30 I checked the online system, for MOT’s and found that my MOT had been completed and I had not been contacted to advise my MOT had been done or the findings of my MOT. They then did not phone me until 5:50 which I felt was an underhanded attempt to keep my car at their garage as they close at 6:00. My partner answered the phone and explained who he was, now the thing that unsettles me was the garage first thought my partner said he was my father to which the mechanics voice completely changed, slightly panicked, before realising he was talking to my partner. He then started to tell my partner the MOT had failed describing the issues over the phone. Any other time my car has had an MOT they have always waited till I have gotten back to tell me about the issues and have not registered the issues online before advising me of them. My partner explained we were only round the corner and would be there in under two minutes, the mechanic sounded shocked but said no problem. When we arrived one of the mechanics/workers approached us and began to tell us the issues. My car was declared not fit to drive due to both my rear tyres (which I agreed with as I knew they needed doing) and my front brake discs. Now I only had my front tyres changed two weeks previous and had my brake discs checked to which I was assured my brake discs were fine and did not need changing so was surprised that my car had failed due to this. They also failed me for a headlight and registration light being out (understandable, although they advised me that the complete wrong headlight was out) and then for a leak from both my front shock absorbers. When my partner questioned the leak due to parking in a roofed garage, the mechanics could not answer if it was actually leaking before eventually admitting there was no leak, saying “well it’s not actually leaking but it’s building up”. Whilst my partner was questioning the mechanic on the issues they had marked down (baring in mind my partner was extremely polite at all times and was by no means intimidating) a much bigger man came over which personally I found intimidating. The entire time they spoke to us they were on the phone asking someone else questions which again is unsettling, why don’t they know the answers to our very simple questions? My car has had an MOT completed in your garage why don’t you know exactly where the problems are and why can’t you explain them properly? If they are not the ones that have performed the MOT why is the person that performed it not going through this with me? On top of this they could not give me quotes for repairs whilst I was there. I was then told they would send me a message with a quote for repair/replacement of my front shock absorbers, I have still yet to receive this quote(I was told I would received this in the morning of 07/07/2022). Due to the questionable service received I took my car and decided I would get the work completed elsewhere before having another MOT. I have been to a mechanic since to order some tyres and had them check my front brake discs and my front shock absorbers, the mechanic has advised me that my front brake discs “look brand new” and would would “last atleast a year” but I didn’t settle with just the second check on my brake discs, I had a third opinion which also said my brake discs look perfectly fine. They also found that my front shock absorbers on the right hand side of my car looked like the possible start of a leak, the left hand side however was bone dry. Now I’m 21 and feel as though my age, lack of knowledge with cars and my gender has resulted in me being taken advantage of. I am completely disheartened as to have my car pass an MOT I feel I have no choice other than to have the work completed which is a lot of money to a 21 year old practically on minimum wage. I do not recommend this garage and will not use their services again.

My experience started off with a Groupon voucher for an oil and filter change, straight forward apart from the surcharge for engines over 1.2L or something ridiculous like that, which brought the service in line with any normal price. Thinking they were capable of doing bigger work, I asked them to change my clutch and flywheel. What a mistake that was. The owner said he had guys that were specialist that could do it in a matter of hours, ended up keeping my car for nearly a week after fitting the wrong parts causing damage to the internals. But that didn't matter to them as they were happy to drop my car off broken and saying that it was meant to be like that. On my return from out of the country, the car was barely driveable, garage said it'd be like that but would ease off. I stood my ground and they took it back in to find that starting the car with the wrong clutch in damaged something in the gearbox so had to take that out to get sorted. I also complained of a loud hissing noise which they said was the normal sound of the turbo as they had secured a connector so I wasn't used to the sound. This turned out to be a loose hose connector rather than the other way around. Car then had a fault of non cancelling indicators, garage said it was nothing to do with them. Ended up taking it to a proper garage who said most likely when the garage dropped the sub frame, they didn't lock the steering column in place and it twisted out of alignment. Every time the garage returned my car, things would be missing or loose, i.e. locking wheel nuts disappeared, battery encasement they most likely binned even though he made up the story that the garage accidentally fitted it to another identical vehicle instead. I knew straight away after they returned my car trying to fob me off saying that there was no fault with the car, that there was going to be a long complicated battle and I was right. They may be capable of simple jobs, but anything more complex is just asking for trouble. The funniest bit was when I last collected my vehicle from the garage, I asked if the owner was in and the mechanic said he wasn't, even though I saw him quickly hide through a door just as I arrived, most likely because he had lost something from inside my car. After taking legal advice, I was advised to pass on my case notes to Trading Standards of the corresponding borough to investigate.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! Will break your car parts will go missing and other things would need to be repaired that was perfectly fine before going to M60 Autos. I had my car towed to this garage because the clutch broke just before I was about to drive on the motorway (in the evening). On the morning of the next day, my car was towed to M60 Autos with reassurance that my car would be fixed that same day. I do not live in Manchester and would need to travel home. At the end of the day, after taking some time to get through to them I was then told they were unable to repair the car and I would need to wait another day. The next day I went to collect my car late afternoon they had repaired the clutch. However, the electrics on my dashboard & steering wheel, horn, power steering and windscreen wipers were not working. This was in full working order before they had taken my car for repair. At first, they did not want to take responsibility and they said the car was in this state when they picked it up. However, having evidence (video recordings) of my car in full working order. They had to rectify the problems. After back-and-forth communications with them, not taking ownership of what they did. Management was very rude with no communication skills he does not explain the details of work properly. Making a lot of excuses to make you feel clueless about your own car. I asked my mother to come to assist me with the problem and the manager said to my mother "You are a woman and don't know much about cars". (Very sexist) . What I believed happened they took the part out of my steering wheel (an original part). Hoping I would have not noticed and left the premises so then they would have said it was not a fault of theirs. Having been cautious and checking over my car beforehand and leaving I was glad I noticed all the problems. To anyone wanting to use this garage be aware and very mindful!!!! Especially cars/parts of value.

STAY AWAY AND STEER CLEAR AT ALL COSTS!!!!!!!!!!!! DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLES SERVICES THEY WILL SCAM YOU AND STEAL YOUR PARTS!!! My car was towed to this shop without my consent and it is the worst thing that couldve happened to me. My car came out worse than when it went in!! They initially told me to fix a very long list of things which after my own research and 2nd opinion only a fraction of those parts needed fixing. Anyway they initially quoted me £900 for parts + labour totalling £1600. After shopping around for parts myself I managed to get parts for literally less than £150 and they charged me for full labour which only took a day and a half. The worst thing is they didnt even do half the labour they said they would and only used 2 or 3 of the long list of parts I purchased for them. On the day before the finished job, Lo and behold, I am now requiring extra work on my car on completely unaffected parts which were perfectly fine and apparently I was missing brake pads even though my cars brakes were the best thing about it! Once I had picked up my "fixed" car I had 2 new warning lights - my engine light and my ABS light which is now requiring me to do more work on my car. Anyway, from the get go I had no choice but to pay them what they quoted despite the daylight robbery due to the towing guy who probably works with them so no matter what STEER CLEAR. There are plenty of good and HONEST mechanics around longsight and east machester. If you need MOT, servicing, repair work etc DO NOT EVEN CONSIDER M60 - THEY ARE THEIVES AND WILL WRECK YOUR CAR!!

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! Especially if you’re a female with no knowledge of cars. A year ago I took my Audi a1 in for an engine fix and was told I would either have to pay for the engine to be stripped OR get a new engine. I told them I wanted to go with the cheapest option and they said they would look around at engine prices. Three days later I rang back to see if they had found a new engine and surprisingly they had already started stripping it as they said this was the cheapest option. I expected a phone call with a quotation price before the work was started but I didn’t argue with it. When I asked how much it would cost all together they told me the final cost would be £2700 and then told me there’s no guarantee the engine will work at the end. I told them to stop the work as I wasn’t paying that if there’s not a 100% guarantee it would be fixed. They charged me £400 for the work they started, and then a further £250 to scrap the car. All together I transferred them £650 and today I’ve just found out the car is on the road, insured, taxed and everything when I saw a lad driving past in it. I knew it was my old car because I had a private reg and custom coloured alloys which are still on the car. It wasn’t even scrapped :) :) :)

WOMEN BEWARE!! They said they would carry out an initial inspection for £30 before doing any work, but then told me after the 'inspection' that they had already removed my gear box and done some other things that amounted to more than £30 so I may as well let them complete the job. After replacing my clutch they insisted on me paying over the phone before they could send me my invoice by email because they were too busy to write up the invoice, but I had to pay there and then to get my car back on time. After providing my card details to them I received my invoice a few hrs later which had a recovery charge and replacement gearbox seal on there (my car was drivable, it was not recovered by them and my gearbox was not leaking). Also, my original quote said collection and delivery included. They charged me an extra £115 without consent. When I tried to discuss it with them over the phone, the man hung up on me. I never got a receipt for the work, or for the clutch kit (I suspect that they did not order a new clutch kit as they said they would). I'm now having to dispute their UNCONSENTED charges via my bank. DO NOT END UP LIKE ME.

The Worst place I've ever been to. Been 3 times now due to a low price but wish I hadn't. Always late when they fix your car, nearly put the new brake discs on the front wheels instead of the rear, they only didn't because I luckily decided to watch them fix it and then pointed it out. Awful customer service is a consistent thing they offer. After receiving the car back i noticed there was a wheel nut missing off my car, I'm unsure how that happened, and rang them to ask about it a few weeks later to have the manager tell me you can't put the wheel on without it, however my uncle who is a mechanic disagreed. They agreed to get me a new locking nut but this was not the specific BMW one i asked for and they promised , therefore i was disappointed. If you read the reviews below there are similar comments off previous customers. Don't be conned by the good reviews on here, i rarely write reviews but had to in this case as the service i received was that bad. Owner also rang me and threatened me with legal action if i didn't change the content of my initial review.

We blew a tyre on the M62 on our way to Newcastle (from Macclesfield) on a Sunday night at 7pm. These guys were absolutely fantastic; not only in being both available and able in fixing the problem at hand but also in delivering a top quality service. It was the first time I’ve ever been in this sort of situation and from the minute they got there to sending me off they just made me feel at ease. Extra kudos to the man who picked us up (think he said he’s from Fairfield - a City supporter [I’ll try and forget this bit] - but unbelievable in our time of need. Replaced the tyre for a more than affordable sum and had us back on the road before we knew it. Can’t thank him or his team enough, I hope he got home safe with enough time to admire the Christmas lights, put his feet up and crack open a beer.

When they see a woman, the think free cash withdrawals! Got told l should sell my car cos it had a dent. Got billed £580 for drive shaft.. Very condescending mechanic came and asked how much my bill was, went on to add £262 for brakes, a tyre( which needed replacement was fine with that) told that there was a massive oil leak, ... bill was £1000+.. mechanic went on to say just sell the car, it’s “useless”...almost agreed to a payment plan. Long story short, went to another garage with the above diagnosis, told l had plenty of life in my car parts. Only replaced 2 front tyres and brake fluid. There a a little stone lodged near brakes. Car passed MOT with advisory. Women beware.

Please avoid i booked a full service and all i got was an oil change. They also quoted for fuel filter change that was a good price then after having the car 3 hours said it would take another 2 hours and I would have to pay extra.This place just rip you off.I really wish I would have drove away when I arrived at what looked like a chop shop.They ended up taking five hours and I still do not have any papers telling me the results of my service.The mechanic pointed out that someone has broken a clip in the engine bay but I'm 90% curtain it was him.I have contacted then a number of times and they just fobbed me off.

M60 autos kept my car for 7 hours before eventually giving me a quote of over £800 to do an exhaust replacement the following day. This sounded too expensive and they seemed to expect me to haggle which made me think they were overcharging, so I collected my car and took it to another local garage for a second opinion. By contrast this garage was very professional and transparent, they showed me underneath the car so I could see that the damage wasn't anywhere near the catalytic (as M60 autos had told me it was) and they replaced the damaged section of the exhaust straight away costing a total of £134.

I accidentally came across with these professionals. Initially I chose them for a casual inspection on a car that I was planning to buy from a private car dealer. At that moment I appreciated their honesty, they said directly all the faults that this "perfect" car had with zero hesitation. Then we had a thoroughly discussion about a Toyota Yaris that they were selling. Their patience and professionalism lead me to my final decision and I finally bought a car from them. I recommend them with no second thoughts. A reliable, trustworthy place to take your car or to take a car. Best Regards, (Pipis)

Thought it was my coil pack and spark plugs, after a £40 diagnostic, they confirmed it. £320 cash altogether for diagnostic, to get it fixed plus VAT? Booked in and got it fixed same day within a couple of hours. If you go with a man, he will most likely ask the man questions, he finally realised it was my car after I was the only one answering questions. He was helpful, explained everything and showed me the issues. I’d definitely get quoted at a different garage to be sure. But the problem got fixed very quickly. Also didn’t realise they offer nhs discount (just read a review below).

I had an issue with my car on the way to manchester and needed to get to an appointmemt - this was the closest garage to me and i rang them and they said to bring it in straightaway... i was given a cold fizzy drink by the owner and was advised the mechanic was on lunch and they called him back from lunch to urgently deal with my car, which he fixed in less than half an hour, for a very acceptable figure. I cant rate these guys highly enough for their level of service and expertise and the speed they dealt with my urgent issue - a good honest garage with great customer service!!!

M60 Autos was recommended by a colleague after the excellent service he had received. For an aging car, a dealer repair and service was not a viable option especially given the multiple 'faults' that a dealer diagnostics can bring up. Adam at M60 Autos was able to repair, service and get my car through MOT all for less than a quarter of what it would have cost me at a franchised dealer. Customer service was excellent and I found the discussions regarding repairs and costs honest and frank. Thoroughly recommended and I will be taking my car back to them next year.

Had a tree damaged Citroen C4. The roof, Bonnet and side wing was damaged. Got the dent removed and spray painted from M60 Autos. I am very pleased with finish. The price was reasonable too. On top of that the job finished before the estimated given time. I will definitely go to M60 Autos for any problems with my car in the future. One thing i would like them to improve is to try to keep the car clean as possible. Put some dust sheet on the car seats or dashboard area when sanding and spray painting. That will make customers super happy.

Absolutely brilliant service from the people here. I have taken my car here 3 times now, first time we got a Groupon deal for wheel balancing and during that they identified a problem with the car and offered to locate the part for me and get it sorted, a few days later I got a call from them saying he had been able to locate the part for even cheaper than quoted!! Lastly I went here yesterday to get the MOT done and it passed, will be using M60 Autos for any car issues in future, cannot recommend them enough. Daniel

Amazing service. Last Sunday, I was in Manchester city centre and had a tyre with a nail in, as I'm from Birmingham and had to be driving home in a few hours I began to panic that no other places were open. When I arrived at M60 Autos, they were very friendly and gave me a very good price to replace a new tyre. These guys were extremely helpful, quick and friendly. I would highly recommend this place to anyone, it's also close to the centre. I'll certainly be back again if anything else happens to my car

I had my Lexus IS200 booked in for a full comprehensive service on 09/06/15, I also had my timing belt and front disc brakes changed at the same time. The cost to have them all done was very fair. The owner Saj is a very open and friendly person so it was easy to build a rapport with him, his mechanics were also the same. I highly recommend M60 Autos & Tyres, I will be using their services again. They are very honest with the job that needs to be done and are good with the price. A job well done.

Do not use this company!!! They failed to repair my car properly the first time and then I took it again and they changed a gasket on my engine but didn't fill the oil back up and didn't give me any advice on filling the oil back up. Now my car is ruined. They are not professional and the mechanic does not know what he is doing. Go to Manchester city stadium and use the garage there. They are much better. Avoid this place!! Nothing fake about this review pal your garage is a joke!!!

M60 autos the best garage in the gorton area the first time I went there I was welcomed very well I was offered tea while the mechanic was looking at the car and my car needed a lot of work and I didn’t have enough money at the time So Saaj told me he can offer me monthly payments and that helped me a lot thanks to Saaj and his coligues Brilliant service, above and beyond . Punctual, courteous, knowledgeable and friendly, what more could you ask

Went there last minute as heard a horrible grinding on my car. Thought it was going to be hundreds to fix it. Took it in he was so lovely!! Took a look and just turned out something needed cleaning. He did it within half an hour or so then was good as new. Was about to leave and he heard a diff noise and asked to take a look and again sorted that out very quickly!! This only cost me £20. Will be coming back here again thank u for all The help!!

I had a very good experience with M60 Autos , staff and manager are friendly . My Ford car was not drivable and had many issues including automatic gear box problems which I struggled to find a place in Manchester to fix with reasonable price , they arranged for recovery and did great job with good price and delivered the car in great condition . Excellent customer service , I have enjoyed my experience and will definitely recommend them .

I had a lot of work to do on my car, a Volvo S60. I decided to go to M60 Autos repairs and MOT. The staff were polite and took the time to explain problems on the car. They advised me on what to do. I was impressed and requested for service. Parts that were used to fix my car were second to none. The prices were very competitive. I will use the services of M60 Autos again because they are reliable and experts in their work.

Stay away!! been here and told needed new clutch after all it appears don't need nothing doing to my car because different garage has confirmed my car well fit to drive nothing wrong with it!!These guys was gonna open my car up and change working clutch no reason and charge me out my pocket £1070!! I think sometimes they think your just woman who doesn't have no KNOWLEDGE EITHER don't know nothing!!Well wrong mate lol!!!

I booked my car in at very short notice (the night before) for a full service and body work repair. I received NHS discount which was very thoughtful. Car looks as good as it did when I bought it brand new- the best body work I have ever had done. Car was done in 3 days. Great service, reliable and very good price. I will definitely recommend M60 Autos and will come again for future work to my car.

I had service from m60 autos and this was very bad experience the owner started asking me for money as soon as I enter the garage and was treating as if I will run away with his money and hardly showed any interest in repair for car or making me understand about the jobs they have performed. The overall all experience was very bad and owner is rude. Will not recommend or use ever again

I found M60 auto's on "who can fix my car" and I have been very happy with the customer service I have been given. As a woman, I find it can be difficult to trust garages, but I am satisfied that the diagnostic and advice I have been given are correct. Got my cars MOT and Service done on new years eve. The guys here are very helpful and friendly. My car needed a bit of work done on a wheel bearing and some other minor bits. The guys here got it all done in a couple hours and I had my car back with a pass on my MOT. Very happy with service and it was cheaper than the times I have gone to quickfit or Halfords. Recommended place

Clutch went on me at the worst time, Sunday night, and place, miles from home, these guys responded to the job on click mechanic within an hour, recovered my car and had it working like new in less than 48 hours. Top guys, friendly and professional, kept me informed over phone of where they were at with repairs and honoured the original price I was quoted. Thanks m60 autos

Great guys. Had some body work repairs done and they dis a great job. Answered the phone every time I called. It was easy to go in for an assessment and quote. I discussed options with them and agreed a price. I went back for the job a few weeks later and they honoured the original qoute and completed the work ahead of the quoted time. I would highlyrw ommend these guys

Took my Yaris for the 50 Point check with oil change using the Groupon Voucher. Very friendly, professional staff. Extremely happy with the service so much so I brought my partner's Jaguar in for the 50 point check with diagnostic and oil and filter change. Couldn't expect any better! Would definitely recommend this garage! A happy customer

This place is excellent, they are fast and efficient. I needed the body work on my Mini fixed and they done an amazing job, it’s looks brand new again and also needed a flat tire fixing within an hour they were outside fixing the tire for me. Saj is amazing and goes beyond to help. Would recommend this place. Will definitely be coming back.

HONEST AND VERY REASONABLE. Had my Ford misfiring and heating issue fixed and new tyres fitted. Tyre prices were cheapest in local area AND far cheaper than what I could get them online. They even topped up the engine antifreeze fluid for me. Very impressed with service, will be going back for sure! Thanks a ton to SAJ and his team.

1st time I have used this company after reading many good reviews I took a punt. Service is top notch and the mechanic is very friendly. Did the job really quick while I was there. They fitted me in last minute and sorted my car quickly and at a more than reasonable price. Easy to contact and called me exactly when promised. Quick response to my queries. Friendly and honest team. They could have easily ripped me off as I've no idea about mechanics. Will definitely be using them in future.

I had got my AC regassed as well replacing a dirty cabin filter. Very professional with the way they handled my issues. Also give a complimentary drink which is going over the top. Heavily recommend to anyone with whatever issues their motor faces as they specialise in every aspect of mechanics/bodywork. 10/10

I needed an emergency same day MOT on a Sunday at 2pm. This sounds impossible, I know. However, M60 Autos were there to save my day. Very impressed with their friendly service and was able sit in the waiting area while they did the MOT. Took around 45 mins. Thank you M60 Autos! Highly recommended.

Service and repair was very good. Very friendly and understanding staff. Originally went to Halfords first and spend lots of money and they couldn’t solve the problem and finally failed MOT. Finally M60 autos solves the issue and passed the MOT. Definitely recommend and good value for money.

Sent car for servicing, can't fault them. Just ensure you can send your car after 9am (opening time). Did try to save me money but I needed the car back quick prior Saj getting anywhere with that, anyway. Great customer service. Hope you keep it up! 4 and half star but not far off.

Found this garage on whocanfixmycar but had to call them because couldn't add on website full service + MOT to Aircon regas quotes. The staff were so nice, explaining me all the steps that were done, which parts they were changing and topping up. Definitely recommend! Thanks Zak.

Booked in for an interim service and to get some additional work done. The guys at M60 Autos were great, offering me tea/coffee while I waited and really friendly! Work was completed pretty quick, and prices are great! I will be going back again for MOT's and future services!

I brought my car to M60 autos last week. Excellent customer service. All the staff are very polite and helpful. I was given a full report and they explain in details what needs to be done on the car. Will be going back again and will recommend this garage to everyone.

These guys are life saviors. I randomly came here to get something fixed for my diesel car. And they did an outstanding job and did exactly what I asked them to do. Honest bunch of guys with decent pricing and professional. Not like your local usual auto garage.

Very good - never try new garages but this time my local garage was shut. They offered a competitive price and the work was completed within 24 hours - they also opened late to ensure I could get there after work to collect the car. Would definitley use again.

These lot are crooks. They failed my MOT and told me I needed repairs costing up to £1100. I had 3 separate mechanics look at my car who told me there was nothing wrong with the car at all. Stay away!!

If you need to fix an aircon leak, they do not find and fix air con leaks here. They just top up the gas and off you go. £110
