I love everything about MADabolic and recommend it to everyone I know! For years, I was solely a gym hopper/Classpass user because I liked to mix up my workouts/didn't feel like I could get the full-body workout I needed that offered both cardio and strength training from one studio...until I found MADabolic in 2021. I'm now a member, and couldn't be happier. Not only has it transformed my body like no other workout, but it's also a perfect blend of challenge and fun. Last but not least, all of the coaches are INCREDIBLE! Not only are they great, supportive coaches that clearly know what they're doing and truly care about making sure each person feels seen and is working out safely, but they're also all just so genuine, down-to-earth and funny! These are just a few of the many elements that set MAD apart from other boutique fitness studios, but the list is endless. Keep doin' what you're doin', y'all, cuz you're killin' it! :)

My family just moved from another city where I was a member of another MAD location, and during our move I was back and forth a lot. Jay went above and beyond to keep me signed up for classes at the CLT location for the duration of my previous location membership. In the midst of all the moving chaos and starting an intense new job, having the consistency of my gym routine was a lifesaver. Without that top notch customer service I would have probably neglected my fitness during our move- which would have negatively impacted other areas of my life during a time period where I really needed to be at my best. I just officially signed up for a Charlotte membership now that my previous contract is over and joining another gym was never even a thought. MADabolic excels in it’s programming and it’s accessibility and I just wanted to highlight how that includes customer service. Thank you Jay!!

I truly believe MADabolic is the best gym in Charlotte! Not only are the trainers great and like family, the workout classes are only 50 minutes--including warmup. When I first moved to Charlotte, I attended the YMCA but I was not motivated and I would go to the gym and spend more time socializing than actually working out. I didn't know what to do because I didn't have anyone to tell me what to do. I couldn't get myself to actually work out for more than 20 minutes, if that. At MADabolic there are only 20 people per class so you feel like you have a personal trainer and they are wonderful at critiquing. Also, each day is a different workout so it makes me want to go everyday (I get bored with workouts when they're the same). I have noticed a tremendous difference with my body and I thank MAD for that!

Listen. I’ve been around trainers, coaches, teachers since I was a kid for football. It’s always been about lifting as much weight as possible and being as fast as possible. Madabolic’s experience is top notch. I don’t have much to compare to class wise but I didn’t feel the need to look elsewhere. I’ve realized that at the level of football I was at, they’re starting to tailor their workouts and fitness science more in the direction of the coaches and regimen at MAD. Which speaks volumes. I’ve already learned a bunch, fixed some technique errors, and feel great everyday. It’s a class that can push you with its workouts alone, but what makes it so great is the community and members that push you along with it. Highly recommend and easy to accommodate for all fitness levels!

I don’t know how y’all do it, but if the class has 5 people or 25 people, the training staff sees EVERYTHING! It’s commendable. I 100% appreciate the correction, and the nod when I do get it right. The fact that the trainers know who you are, what you’d like to focus on/improve/fine tune and check in to help you get there is awesome. Definitely nice to walk in to a space of respect and knowledge, and continually see personal growth. Extra credit to those that offer killer playlists that hit at just the right time on those "extra fun" days! The team connects with everyone in an authentic way and it’s really nice to be part of something so wonderful. Even if that dang ski erg has made way too many appearances the past month :)

MADabolic has completely turned around my lifestyle for the better! There's definitely a bit more of a pep in my step these days. Not only do the consistent high intensity workouts naturally energize me, it's the environment too. The team at both South End and Elizabeth locations perform at 100% every class, making it so easy to hype myself up too! The best part - they are SUPER focused on time management and when we show up, we show OUT. With their class plans, I am done with my day by 7pm throughout the week feeling light on my feet and ready for tomorrow. I can confidently say that I live a MADlifestyle now...and for the foreseeable future!

Everything they do is systematic- I used to hate working out.. now I CRAVE IT - Another life changing -I also used to say that I was the opposite of ‘a morning person’ (even though I have a six year old and sevenyear old and a full-time Monday through Friday job that starts at 8 AM that could care less ) and I loathed waking up each and every morning- the sound of my alarm made me cringe. Since joining MAD. not only am I working out 4 to 5 times a week, but I am also attending, the majority of the time, the 5:30 AM class☺️! The real deal for fitness. The owners care, the trainers care, and the culture here is fun yet serious. The trainers are very cool people AND make you feel at ease. You get your money's worth and then some. This workout is what you make it: if you want to push and grow your ability, you'll be able to maximize your fitness growth exponentially. Really loving my experience at Madabolic so far — I’m relatively new to the gym, but quickly made the decision to sign up for a year membership given I could tell from the start it would be a good fit!! The gym has a great vibe (music is always on point), really good focus on form (which I haven’t seen as focused anywhere else in CLT), and my favorite part is the variety of exercises & the equipment that Madabolic has — totally helps change up the workouts from day to day and keeps its interesting & fun!!

Medabolic is the best strength training I have done in a long time! I really enjoy how it incorporates so many different movements and methods by including boxing, biking, kettle bells, medicine balls, jump ropes, etc. After a week of working out, I feel very fit because of the balance to the routines including varying work to rest ratios on the days of momentum, anaerobic, durability. I have received excellent instruction and the equipment there is really nice. I highly recommend it!

Can't say enough good things about this place! I bounced from one workout to the next without much success. I like something that uses some form of a HIIT model as that always was the most fun for me personally. I tried Crossfit, FlyWheel, Daily Burn and a lot of different stuff I could do in the gym myself but nothing has kept me coming back for more like MAD! The staff have quickly become friends, the workouts always push me and I look forward to the next one as soon as I'm done.

I haven’t found a gym that I was willing to commit my time or money to on a regular basis until I found MADabolic SouthEnd! I appreciate that the trainers have real experience and it SHOWS! Each trainer has their own personality and they’ll let you know it! I also feel like I get one-on-one attention but with the benefit from working out with a MADass group of people at the same time. Having a physical disability, I have always felt fitness professionals were apprehensive to challenge or provide me tips for a specific exercise (outside out of a 1:1 sessions I had years back). MADabolic trainers were the first to ever do this for me in my 17 years of working out. It only took me that long to have someone show me how simple it is to take my feet out of the foot plate after using the Rower. The people here will challenge you no matter what!

I enjoy the class atmosphere and philosophy of the program. Each class is challenging with athletic movements focusing on power and strength, but not without paying attention to form and technique. Coaches actually coach during class and welcome discussion outside the gym. I do wish there were more blog posts on the website - most are full of little gems to keep members motivated on their journey. It's been the best programming I've ever been exposed to.

Huge fan of this place! I love the instructors, the music, the stations and the movement. There is a planned schedule and the fitness instructors are so knowledgable with their demonstrations and coaching through out the work out. This place changed how I think about workouts and I love visiting their locations in other cities. It is great for beginners too so don't be scared to go, you'll be hooked. They're also on classpass which is how I found them!

After the $10 for 10 days intro I was hooked! I use ClassPass to attend MADabolic classes and always enjoy the variation in type and speed of my workout. If you are looking for a full body + cardio workout and love to sweat come to a MADabolic class! Great instructors, facility, music and class participants. Wish there was time for a post workout stretch/cool down but I sometimes do it on my own. Love seeing the same faces each week!

Madabolic is the best gym I've ever been to!! It is so focused on getting stronger and ensuring safe movements. The instructors give you a demo, but then they watch and correct your form when needed. It's fast paced so sometimes you don't even realize 50 minutes have gone by. Everyone is really nice as well and the culture their is really not focused on who is better than who, but how can you yourself get stronger.

You can expect the workouts to be different everyday and for you to feel like you have sweated all your negative energy out every time you leave! This is the best gym in Charlotte. The facility is perfect - new, clean, open, well lit, top end equipment. The instructors are educated, energetic, and very personable. The instructor gave very clear explanation on the movements and as a first timer, I felt adequate enough to follow the routine. High energy throughout the workout, very encouraging. The level of intensity of this workout might be too high for me, and I got sick the next day. But will def try a second class and recommend to friends.

The best workout in Charlotte and always something different! Just had a really tough one with Jay and he's extremely patient and helps you get the technique down (as do all the coaches)! The equipment and facility are well maintained. The staff members are enthusiastic and always happy to help the participants utilize the correct form when doing the exercises. Started coming to MAD with their 10 day unlimited trial. The class is a perfect fusion of strength and HIIT. The instructors are awesome and gave me several different modifications for my wrist. Music is great and energy is contagious. Think I found my home.
