Based on the very good online reviews of this company 4 months before going to Spain we booked an automatic 7 seater (Peugeot 5008 or similar) with a child's car seat and a manual 9 seater (Renault Trafic or similar) via the DoYouSpain website. The booking was seamless and we received the confirmation instantly. On arriving the Malaga Airport on 31st May 2023 at 11am, and after calling the company, one of their staff came after 10 minutes with a very dated 9 seater (Citron) and he drove us back to their office that was about 10 minutes drive away from the airport. We went there and the first shock we experienced was that the Citron 9 seater was in fact the one that they were planning to give us! This car had multiple scracthes on the body, there were multiple signs of wear in this car! Even the gearbox was stiff and noisy. Despite that we accepted the car and drove back to the airport to pick up the rest of our family members that included 3 children. On route we noted that the air conditioning was not working at all and we were expecting very high temperatures in the upcoming days as per their weather forcast!. We called the office and we were asked to drive the car back to them to see the car. We drove back and on arrival to their office and after the managers' mumbling in Spanish they said that they do not have any other 9 seater available and in fact they even said that they even did not have a normal saloon car to give us! To our surprise one of the managers dared to ask us to take the 9 seater to a car mechanic to fix the problem with the air conditioning! He said it will take 20 minutes to get there! We refused that and we said that we did not come to Spain to fix your car. Understandably we were really angry and annoyed by what they dared to ask us to do. Then they offered a very small compact Peugeot that was model 208! It was not even large enough for our luggage let alone for our passengers, we refused that as well. They then tried to give us another 9 seater and when we looked at it and we noticed that the engine sign was constantly on on the dashboard and they said it is a very simple problem with the car and we should not worry about it! We refused this option as well. We called DoYouSpain and they told us that this is a problem between you and the company and we have to solve it ourselves. DoYouSpain said they were unable to provide us with an alternative car by another supplier, despite the fact that we booked the car through them!. Out of courtesy they should have tried to find us another car with another supplier but they did not. We had no option apart from cancelling the contract and return the car to them despite all of their attempts to convince us not to. They took us back to the airport and we gone to another well known company and rented a very good 7 seater car with that day's price that costed us. To be honest, by then we lost our trust in Mina Rent and we were worried about the 7 seater car that we originally booked with them. Unsurprisngly the car was not the Peugeot 5008 2021 as we were hoping, it was a Renault Scenic 2018 with >157000 km on the clock (i.e. >97000 miles). Similar to the Citron, this one also had multiple signs of wear and 48 obvious scratches and it was not clean at all but it was driveable. The child car seat that was provided to us was faulty and very dirty with stains on it and it looked very cheap indeed. We asked them to replace the child seat and they gave us another one that was not cleaner than the previous one and we had to clean it to be able to use it. The car was provided to us with just under half a tank fuel while on the advert and according to the renting contract it must have been a full tank which was not. There is a catch here and they always benefit from that when the car is retrned to them. We lost the entire first day with above and all of us and our children were exhausted because we had to drive another 2 hours to get to our destination. Would I rent with them again? Never. Would I recommend the company to anyone? Not at all.

DO NOT USE THIS CAR HIRE COMPANY. We booked a car with Mina Rent through Do You Spain. When we landed at Malaga airport and phoned them as requested on the information. We were told to go to floor 2 and we would be picked up to go to the offices to receive our car. We waited 20 minutes and no vehicle arrived to pick us up so I phoned again and was told the pick up vehicle was on its way. Another 10 minutes went by and still not arrived. We then spoke to some Belgian people who were also waiting to be picked up and they had been waiting 1hour and 30 minutes. A couple of their party had taken a taxi to the offices to find out what was going on. I phoned them again 4 times as they were now not answering my calls. When I finally got to speak to someone he said they had 2 staff off and were very busy and the pick up vehicle was on its way. After another 10 minutes my wife and I decided to take a taxi to the premises. When we arrived the place was closed up. The taxi driver phoned them for us and told them in Spanish that we were outside. They then came and opened up. They were apologetic and when I said they needed to pay my taxi fare they gave me €20. We got our car which was a new Opel Corsa and we got on our way. I have no complaints about the car we were given which was clean and reliable. However, on our return to drop the car off ,after getting lost a couple of times, I phoned them to help me with directions and was told to send a WhatsApp message and they would respond to that!! This was getting very stressful as there were no maps or instructions to help us get to the premises. Eventually we managed to find them (more by luck than management) and parked opposite the garage doors. One of the employees was just locking the garage up and I told him we were returning the car and that because of our inability to find them, we were running late and needed taking to the airport urgently. He continued to lock the garage door and said park in the next street and my colleague will help you. I drove round to the next street and the door to the garage in that street was also locked. By this time we were extremely stressed and at a loss as to what to do. We decided to leave the car where it was and leave the key on the floor at the passenger side and get a taxi to the airport. We went down the road to a petrol station and asked the attendant to phone for a taxi for us. Whilst we were waiting for the taxi the attendant (who fortunately spoke very good English) said he would give the key to the rent a car people so I went back to the car to lock it and gave him the key. We got in the taxi and went to the airport for our return flight home. I phoned them again from the airport to let them know what I had done regarding dropping the car off. Again they were very apologetic and I said that I had been badly let down and that their customer service was very very poor and that I would never use them again there was no apologetic response to that. I also asked for a refund back to my card for the cost of the taxi back to the airport. It is now 5 days since my return and I am still waiting. DO NOT USE MINARENT

On booking a car with this company through Doyouspain we were expecting to pick up the car at the airport and searched for the desk that the paperwork suggested, then proceeded to the pick up area and found no sign of the company and no one seemed to know of them. We know that the reply will be that we booked through a broker and the claim will be that we booked through a broker and that the broker information isn’t correct, then, surely a professional company would contact the broker to correct that information, as, you have been aware of this for a long time now, as it is mentioned in previous reviews. We had to wait 40 minutes to be collected at the airport and the driver made no attempt to communicate with us, in fact he remained in the vehicle while we loaded our own luggage. On the drive to collect the car the driver did not speak, but played with the radio and his phone most of the journey, scaring us the whole way. On collecting the car he said that he had put the satnav in English passed us the key fob and walked away. After loading our luggage and starting the car three warning lights came on, the service light, the tyre pressure sensor and a warning that the key fob battery was low, this along with a very scratched and dented car, with a cracked windshield. The car did manage to last the two weeks rental!! We asked if we could return the car to the airport, but we were informed, no, it had to go back to the office. On return, the office was closed but a car arrived and we were told that the driver had come to take us to the airport. The driver then asked us to pay, but, we told him we had paid in full and we were told there would not be any more charges. He muttered about overtime and wandered off to get keys and phone his boss. We asked if there was a problem and he replied that no, there wasn’t. Again no help with the luggage. He then drove us to the airport, and again, no communication and sat in the vehicle while we unloaded our luggage, we are a party of five with the youngest 67 years old and the eldest 86 years old and we’re looking forward to a holiday, this kind of stress is the last thing we needed and a little communication and professionalism would have been marvellous, and maybe even an offer to help with the luggage? (And someone who concentrates on driving and doesn’t play with the radio and their phone, whilst driving) Booking reference DYS-58856218. 220002036.

Having just used Minarent for our seven week stay in and around Vinuela we have nothing but praise for this company. It's our first time using Minarent but we shall most definitely be going with you again next year ! We have used many car hire companies and agents over the years and it's always a little unnerving going to one for the first time, especially when their prices are so very competitive, but since we found our usual brokers had ceased offering Spanish car deals for 2023 we took a leap of faith and put our trust in Minarent. Samuel, Vladys and others who saw to our hire were most professional, friendly and accommodating. The office is offsite, but extremely close to Malaga airport and easy to locate, being just off the MA21. The airport pick up and drop off was a breeze and our Waiver was refunded immediately when we returned the car (just waiting for the banks to process at the moment). The car we had was a small one, but the 1200cc engine coped very well with those Andalusian mountain roads and the car was spotlessly clean and in tip top condition. We may take out a larger vehicle next year, only for the sake of ease with all the luggage we need for such a long stay, they offer quite a range of cars, a super looking motorhome is even included in their fleet! Guys, one very happy experience which we hope to repeat with you in 2024, can't thank you enough, Dave and Lynne Martin

Rented car from Mina through do you spain got picked up at Malaga Airport where there was no designated pick up point eventually saw a car with a Mina sticker on the windscreen, manto stop driver and he had a passenger on board, so had to wait 20 minutes for his return, we were driven into Malaga where we picked up the car, although there were several scratches on the car it was fine. Rented the car for three weeks with no problems. Trying to return the car in Malaga was another story, I could not find the rental company as Malaga is a bust town with lots of industrial areas etc. Got a puncture and had to be recovered got back to the rental garage where was whisked of to the airport, everything is fine. Two weeks after our return home I was checking my credit car account and noticed that €300 had been paid to Mina rentals, I assumed this for the tyre repair ( a bit pricey) but hey my insurance would cover it, the problem was getting mjna to to send the relevant documents for my claim ie invoices and damage reports, I'm still waiting for them after phone calls and e-mails very disappointed with after sales service. Mr rental period was from the 5th September to 28th September A B Crookes

El eslogan que mejor se ajusta a su servicio: Para poca calidad ninguna. Hicimos una reserva con un mes de antelación de una furgoneta 9 plazas. Un día antes contactan con nosotros y nos dicen que furgoneta no hay. Nos ofrecen dos coches, aceptamos porque no nos quedaba de otra, teníamos un viaje programado y a un día antes no podíamos hacer otra cosa. Quedamos a las diez en vialia, y aparece un coche a las 10:30 y el otro a las 11:00, mientras que arreglan todo el papeleo 11:30. El día de devolver el vehículo, no aparece nadie, y nos dicen que dejemos las llaves bajo el asiento. Al día siguiente nos cobran 50€ de la tarjeta, hablo con ellos y me dicen que porque hemos fumado en el coche. ( Imposible, ninguno fumamos) Después de llevar un mes detrás de ellos, y sin cogerme el teléfono. Decido exponerlo en público, para que sirva de referencia. Por rent a car, con esta poca categoría, pagan después la fama de todos. He alquilado más de quince veces en distintos rent y nunca nos habían tratado así de mal. No quiero ni pensar lo que harán con los pobres extranjeros, cuando a los de aquí nos hacen eso. Y cuidado que alquilas en do you spain y alquilas con ellos.

DO NOT use these if you think it's airport car hire, because it NOT. My husband booked a car for us thinking it's located at the airport. I'm disabled and when we got yo Malaga found we had a, very very long walk to level 2 of a car park, then we had to phone them so they could come and pick us up, drive us a good 10mins to their garage. The car we'd booked was unavailable so they gave us a car with a big crack on the windscreen, lots of exterior bumps, damage and interior grab handle hanging off. We had no choice but to accept it, I was very tired by now. Then on return we wanted to drop it off at 8am but they don't open till 9am. They did agree to 8 but wanted an extra €20, then the guy turned up, on the way to the airport stopped at another hotel to try squeeze 2 more people with their luggage in with us!! No chance as we had 2 large and 2 cabin bags. He was using his phone on the way to the airport as well, so safety clearly not an issue. USE ANOTHER CAR HIRE

Minarent A Car has been an excellent rental agency to work with: 1) Customer service and communication are top notch. This is so important and they have been super responsive both over whatsapp chat and phone call. They communicate effectively between each other to ensure the smoothest possible experience for the customer. 2) Good rates/terms 3) Clean/well-maintained vehicles They have been extremely flexible in extending and changing my vehicle as my needs changed. I have interacted with 4 of the personnel at length and they all go out of their way to give the service a personal touch and go above and beyond. They offer courtesy shuttle service to get you where you need to go after dropping off the rental vehicle or pick up from the airport. On one occasion they even picked up my whole family at our home. I don't think I have ever written so much in a review - I have been really impressed by Minarent.

Booked a car through doyouspain.com so this is partly a review of them too! Easy to book, Very cheap too! ★★★★★. At this point i believed I had booked airport car hire. The booking email suggested that I would collect my car at the Parking Express area. If there was a problem, call the office. As it turns out, you always have to call the office. ★ 15 minutes later someone picks us up and takes us for a drive into industrial Malaga. So I'm now 25 minutes in, usually I would be driving towards my hotel by now. ★. The car has many dents and a cracked windscreen. illegal in the UK, perhaps not in Spain. ★ Service reqd light on.★ Airport parking is a 24 hour drop off. I needed to pay an extra €20 for ealy drop off. That is not strictly true... the €20 is for the driver to take you back to the airport. AIRPORT PARKING THIS IS NOT!!

Leider nicht wirklich zu empfehlen! Das Abholen am Flughafen mit der Autoübergabe dauerte 1 Stunde und 30 Minuten. Bei der Rückgabe wurden mir 40 Euro belastet weil es Sand auf den Rücksitzen hatte und sie deswegen das Fahrzeug mit dem Staubsauger reinigen müssen. Da sie keinen Staubsauger besitzen mussten sie das an einem anderen Ort tun und deswegen ist der Aufwand so gross das sie mir die 40 Euro (zuerst wollten sie sogar 50 Euro) belasten müssen! Nach einer 14 tägigen Automiete wird bei jedem Autovermieter das Auto innen und aussen für den nächsten Kunden gereinigt. Hier nicht! Eine absolute Frechheit und zugleich eine Masche den Kunden zusätzlich Geld aus der Tasche zu ziehen. Nie wieder!!

Slechte service leidt tot stress. We waren op 18 november rond tien uur in de ochtend op Malaga AirPort. Het ophalen gebeurde na meerdere beloftes over 40 minuten, over een paar minuten, we zijn er bijna, uiteindelijk na 2 uur. Auto was prima. Er is me beloofd dat het terugbrengen geen problemen zou opleveren op zondag om 0915 uur. Er was niemand aanwezig en niemand bereikbaar. Ook bellen met Doyouspain.com leverde geen oplossing. Uiteindelijk kwam na 40 minuten iemand aanlopen en die bracht me naar het vliegveld waarbij ik nog net het vliegtuig heb gehaald. Zeer stressvol en slechte communicatie!

I made a booking using Booking Centre Online - because they had an exceptional offer. Once on Malaga airport I called Mina rent a car - they had cancelled the reservation, because BCO made a mistake. BCO had applied a wrong price on their website. It was 25 december Christmas! Mina took the responsibility for the mistake of their booking agent and gave me the car for the “wrong” price. The attention was very good, the car nice and clean. Really pleased with the service provided by Mina Rentacar. A lot of companies can take this as an example - this was excellent customer service

Beware, the depot is 2miles away from the airport. They tell you to wait by the Tabac shop outside arrivals level. No bus, just a car ferrying backwards and forwards. So if there are two or three couples waiting, you could be stuck there ages. (Us-45mins) On returning the car (depot is down a side street, off a slip road, on the industrial outskirts of Malaga) and although we had sat nav on,we kept going around in circles for an extra 40 mins. trying to find it. We started to panic. I won't use again

Muy buen servicio. Nos entregaron el coche en la estación de trenes de Málaga, muy puntuales. El coche tenía algunos daños y los anotaron con nosotros para que no hubiese ningún problema. La entrega del vehículo nos dieron la opción de llevarlo a sus oficinas, y fueran muy amables de acercarnos al aeropuerto. Además, me deje olvidada una cámara en el coche, me la guardaron y se la entregaron un familiar. Un servicio muy bueno. Repetiré con ellos en mis próximas visitas a Málaga.

Lo siento, pero tienen la flota de coches más desastrosa que he visto nunca. La atención del personal fue buena, pero cogí un coche categoría B y estaba destrozado x fuera y x dentro, pegaba tirones y en 10 min todas las luces de avería encendidas. Vinieron a cambiarlo, x uno que no tenía averías, pero con el amortiguador destrozado y 120.000km, algo impensable en un coche de alquiler. Resumen, no son especialmente baratos y los coches no son nada seguros.

Booked via hotel in Malaga only a day before, delivery to the hotel on time next morning, payment by credit card. Our car was super clean and new (1600 km only). Retoure to their office close to the airport (address sent via whatsapp) and being driven to the airport to the departure terminal, took approx. 5 mins. Quick and easy communication via whatsapp. Santiago was a nice and polite guy. Can only recommend this company

Amazing service! Driver met us at the Malaga airport terminal and took us to the car hire office in a private minibus. We got our car upgraded to a shiny brand new Citroen at no extra cost! Very friendly staff! Returning the car was just a formality, no time wasted - the driver took us back to the airport terminal! Great prices and straightforward terms and conditions! I will definitely use Miñarent again!

Simplemente geniales! Te recogen el el aeropuerto y te trasladan hasta el rent a car, que está a cinco minutos. Equipo muy atento, en contacto en todo momento para indicarte el lugar de la recogida en el aeropuerto... Y encima muy bien de precio! Al devolver el coche nos dijeron que hubiera sido más barato aún reservando directamente mediante su web, cosa que haremos sin dudar la próxima vez que vengamos a Málaga.

Can’t fault Mina rent. Very affordable, nice car and the staff are really friendly. No quibbles on returning full deposit (the number of times renting a car companies have tried to claim damage to the car from me etc) It’s off the airport but don’t let that put you off as they are there waiting to collect you and drop you back in at the end of your hire. All in all will definitely be using Mina again

Experiencia perfecta, muy recomendable!! Santiago es una persona muy agradable, nos resolvió las dudas por la noche y el siguiente día nos llevó hasta nuestro alojamiento una vez devuelto el coche. Lo alquilamos en el puerto (estación del puerto) y el otro chico que nos lo trajo también muy simpático. Nos retuvieron una fianza pero nada más devolver el coche, la desbloquearon. Una gestión muy buena.

Experiencia malísima. No se los recomiendo. Jamas volveremos a alquilarles vehículos. Hay muchísimas opciones en Málaga para alquilar coches, tuvimos la mala suerte de alquilarles a ellos, los peores. Vehículos donde no les funciona el aire acondicionado, tiene rotos los espejos, maltrato, etc. Muy mala experiencia. Su respuesta siempre es: La culpa la tiene el cliente.

Really helpful staff, good price, nice new clean rental car. Yes, we would use Minarent again. It would be even more helpful if the website had more information about where and how to meet the car delivery driver at the airport and what extra charges you may incur. We got a bit lost returning the car to the off-airport office, our fault.

Coche bueno, y muy limpio. Lo único que no me gustó es q tardamos casi 2 horas entre q vinieron a buscarnos al aeropuerto, ir a la oficina y entregarnos el coche. Para la vuelta el chico que nos tenía que llevar al aeropuerto no estaba y tampoco nos dijo nada. Menos mal que había un chico en la oficina y fue agradable y nos llevó.

This is another really good car hire company where I didn’t have to put any deposit or pay by credit card.Price includes insurance as well.Really cheap.& had a nice fiat 500.Got it when we desperately needed a car & couldn’t get a car from anyone else.They even delivered our car to the airport.Really nice people.

I had to change my reservation after pre-payment. Everything went fine in the beginning. Got a new confirmation which also stated the exact refund amount (as new rental period was shorter). Unfortunately the company did not refund a cent till today. After several reminder, I will now contact a lawyer.

Car was very nice, had a little trouble knowing exactly what to do at Malaga Airport but when I rang the number, the staff member was very helpful, had good english and was there in 10 minutes to collect us to bring us to the car, no problems returning car, no delay bringing us back to the Airport.

Alquilé el coche para un viaje de trabajo y toda la gestión fue excelente, me recogieron en el aeropuerto y me llevaron a sus instalaciones, están muy cerca y no pierdes nada de tiempo ya que luego las gestiones son muy ágiles. Me dieron un coche muy nuevo y por encima de las expectativas.

Me parecieron personales a la vez que profesionales en la atención al cliente. Alquilé una furgoneta para unos trabajos de una semana y se adecuaron perfectamente a mis necesidades ofreciéndome un precio muy competitivo. Además es una empresa 100% malagueña.

Con un trato muy personalizado, es un rent a car que te da dos precios, uno con los seguros baratos y lo mejor uno donde no te preocupas de nada, solo de disfrutar. Me vino muy bien la opción de que te llevaran el coche de alquiler a la puerta del hotel

Great car rental service! We did rent via DOYOUSPAIN, and they rent via Mina Rent. We chose cheapest car. So we got a cheap car with dents and such. But overal great rental service! With pick ip en drop off at airport! Amazing!

I used them last year. No problems at all. Deposit does take a little time to come through but all good. Will use again. Just used again and they freeze the deposit now which is much better. Great service and decent car.

W tym miejscu wypożyczyliśmy nowiutki pachnący świeżością samochód. Dostarczono nam samochód pod apartament. Jedyny minus to lekko utrudniony kontakt. Ostatecznie wszystko było ok.

En la sucursal de Malaga me han estafado. Me cobraron 1000 euros de deposito en garantía y nunca me lo devolvieron sin ningún tipo de explicación. No confíen, me sentí estafado.
