Had my first experience at MPC this Friday after my poor girl Maizee started showing various symptoms of something being wrong. From the minute that we got there, everyone was beyond fantastic, from the receptionist to the assistant to Dr. Pinney, all of them were compassionate and personable and didn't make me feel like they were just going through the motions and shoving us out - like other vets have definitely done to us. My poor girl was pretty unhappy with the whole experience, and put up a bit of a fight, but even then, those who helped us didn't seem annoyed by this and seemed extremely understanding, recognizing that not only did she not feel good, but was obviously nervous being in a brand new place. Everything was explained well every step of the way, including the total cost with the tests that I chose to go through with. I've been to multiple vets before who don't tell you what your running total is and by the time you get out of there, you have no idea why the bill is what it is. Funny enough, something that really struck me was when Dr. Pinney noted that my cat's eyes constantly shake side to side, I didn't point this out to any of them, and I appreciated him noticing and bringing it up to me, showing that he was observant, which I really appreciate, of course. At the end of the visit, the medication was all explained very clearly to me, and we were called the next day with the results of the bloodwork which I wasn't expecting to get so soon. Overall, I'm over the moon with our visit, and will definitely be making Dr. Pinney and his team our go to vet. Couldn't recommend them enough!

Updates: I’m modifying the review from 5 stars to 2 stars due to the change in admin and services. The front desk lady became very condescending when she heard I was trying to order the medication for my dog online (their own website), and said they will charge me $79 for visit instead the “discounted” rate $59 if I order through the online pharmacy on their own website. First off, if you ask around in SA and surrounding areas, the standard vet visits are about $50 each. So they increased the price from $39 last year to the now $79. They’re more expensive than most vets yet you can’t order any medication online or somewhere else like any other normal vets, because they want to make more money. It’s all about money for them now. I understand this policy when they charged the discounted $39 vet visits, but now with this not really discounted rate, they’re still asking for you to order through them, which normally charges at least $20 more than any online pharmacy. My friend who has been seeing them for over 10 years said she also encountered poor service at the front desk because they have new staff now and she is very rude. I mean the doctors have always been nice and the staff used to be nice. But sadly it seems only money matters to them and they don’t care much about customer service anymore. I’ve been to a few vet clinics before In the past and I honestly wish I would have found this place a lot sooner. I brought my cat gizmo in for a consultation which I was worried about mainly because the first place I brought him to wanted a lot more then I could afford. This place was already giving me a quote half the price from the first one. They were very attentive to gizmo as well as making sure to provide the compassion he loves to receive. Everything was quick and easy to understand. I genuinely get the feeling that this place values the clients and the animals that comes in more then the money they get which is a rare find in my opinion. Front desk was amazing and friendly both times I came in. They explained everything in a easy to understand manner. And after the surgery was done the price was a few hundred cheaper then the high end of the quote (which was still have the first quote from the initial place). I also really appreciate the fact that they called back the day after to make sure gizmo was fine and asked if I had any concerns. We have been going to the Lockhill feed location for a couple years and always very happy! I just recently started going to the DeZaVala clinic and Dr P is fantastic. I first took my ACD to another vet (Pavlov’s) for convenience sake but got a wrong diagnosis! They diagnosed my girl with Lymphoma. I was instantly heartbroken by this. I always had faith in Dr P and started searching the internet finally realizing that MPC had a clinic literally in my neighborhood! So I called and explained my situation and they got us in for a next day appointment. Dr. P took his time evaluating my girl and actually listening to the history. He took another biopsy and said this was very likely NOT a lymphoma! A few days later, the results came back and indeed she did not have it. It was a hyperactive lymph node that grew from the size of a gumball to an orange in about a week and a half for some strange reason! He put her on an antibiotic and the nodule decreased in size significantly! Moral of the story- always seek out a 2nd opinion but more importantly take your pet to Dr. Pinney first! This is a family of vets and they are top notch, staff is top notch! I cannot say enough y’all-my girl is alive and thriving today!

We adopted a small stray dog with allergies/skin issues last year. We had five appointments over six months with other vets just for her skin issues, trying a variety of medications, products, and diets. Nothing was particularly effective or lasting. It was painful to watch her struggles, and a restricted diet was pure misery for her too, with us forcing pills down her throat every day as well. We saw Dr. Pinney this week, and he recommended a Cytopoint injection and a medicated treatment for her paws. We cannot express enough how happy we are with the results. Mellow is a different dog already. We finally get to see her relax and really enjoy life now, because she's experiencing what it's like to actually be comfortable in her own skin. We are so glad to have found MPC Veterinary Care, and happy to support a vet practice founded in compassion and mobile vet care. Everyone we deal with there, from the receptionist on up, is kind and loving to animals, something that, surprisingly, you don't always experience at all vet clinics. Best of all, thanks to MPC Vet Care, Mellow has real quality of life now, and that is priceless.

If you haven't been to MPC Veterinary Care, you are missing out. I have used their Mobile Clinic for over 5 years for my animals. I was very happy when they also opened up their Veterinary practice on DeZavala. It's a family owned veterinary. You are treated like family. Chris helped me out at the front desk. He's awesome with customer service in person and as well on the phone. Shelly took me back with my dog to check him out before the doctor would see him. She went over his paper work and answered any questions I had about my dog. Dr. Hunter Pinney, is a wonderful doctor. I felt very comfortable talking and asking questions. I also went with my cat the month before. Brian was the one who took me back with my cat. He is very knowledgeable about cats. This was the first time my cat has been to a vet. I didn't know how my cat would act. The staff was great with him. All my concerns were answered by Brian and Dr. Hunter Pinney. Thank you staff for making me feel like family and being comfortable asking questions.

The best Veterinary Office we have experienced in San Antonio. Our dog has always been weird with his paws but the vets in Baltimore never had any issues with nails, Check-ups or anything. Fast forward, we started going to Huebner Oaks Vet. And our dog has become EXTREMELY vet fearful to the point of aggression w/ those techs. We decided to look for another place and im so glad we did. I saw a review about how MPC handled someone else's vet fearful dog with humanity, so we booked. From the first visit we have been nothing but impressed. They took the time to sit on the floor and let our dog sniff them. Since then, they have taken the time to not only learn our dog, but the dynamics/relationship he has with us and determine the least stressful was to treat him. On top of the great care we receive at the time of appointment, they always all and follow up the next day. MPC and all of the staff there are the greatest thing that has ever happened to our family.

My regular vet was booked, so I did my "due diligence" to find another who inspired trust and excellent care. MPC vet care was highly regarded by over 200 reviewers, so I made an appointment and took my sick dog to visit Dr. Pinney. We were seen immediately. Dr. Pinney, Sunny (vet tech), and staff were very friendly and professional. Tests revealed what I had already suspected. My dog was suffering; therefore, a decision was made to euthanize our Napolean. Dr. Pinney, Sunny (vet tech), and other staff members were so kind during this very difficult time. I appreciated their compassion more than they will ever know. A few days later, I received a beautiful (signed card) expressing their condolences. It contained a print of Napolean's paw, nose, and mouth. This was unexpected, but highly appreciated. Napo was part of our family, so we will keep this card forever. We have also decided to make MPC vet care our new veterinarian.

I called in advance for microchip for my dog. I also scheduled for her to be vaccinated for leptospirosis since I have seen raccoons, possums and skunks visit my back yard looking for snacks and want my pup to be immunized. I came in for the appointment and there was no long wait. I had been taking her to the weekend clinic at Lockhill Feed Store which was fine but I previously been at THIS location for just a refill for her flea/tick and heartworm meds and this clinic is available for appointments during the week. It was very clean and the staff was polite. I was seen by the technician and they took my dog away for the microchip and the vaccine. My pup was returned to me in no distress. I am relieved to have this all done at reasonable price in an actual vet clinic. I highly recommend getting your pet seen here for microchipping, vet visits or vaccines.

Our cat Pepper was not herself after having her spay procedure at the Humane Society. They told us to go to our primary vet which we didn’t really have one. I found MPC and saw they have really good reviews. We were almost going to take our cat to the vet at Petco. Let me tell you, MPC is the best I have been to. Their staff is so friendly, caring, and understanding. I don’t write reviews often but I felt others need to know about them. Their cost is affordable, not like the other’s I’ve been to that cost an arm and a leg requesting so many tests to find a simple issue. They got to the bottom of the issue quick and treated Pepper like their own. Their place is not “cold” like other places. I highly recommend them and thank them for the help they gave us. Yesterday we needed to bring in our 15 year old cocker spaniel Zeus as he was not doing very well. We had not used MPC Veterinary Care services in the past, but I spoke to Emily on the phone and they were able to see us the very same day. Once we arrived we were checked in, and Shelley came out to check on Zeus while waiting to bring him in from the car. Shelly made us feel very welcome and at ease going through this tough time. We unfortunately had to put Zeus down, but Hunter the veterinarian was very kind and assured us he would feel no pain. We had never had to put a family pet down before, but they comforted us and put our hearts at ease. They treated Zeus like he was one of their own. Rest assured MPC Veterinary Care is a place that will take very good care of your family.

The front office receptionist and doctors at MPC were so nice and professional especially over the phone. They made my reactive dog calm and feel at ease. After calling almost all the vets in San Antonio, MPC were the only ones able to take my dog in within a matter of hours for a same day appointment and willing to take a look at my dogs wound. They prescribed the medicine and how to administer everything.They were very thorough on explaining and educating about different types of problems that could occur with my dog. Their prices are very very reasonable and affordable. 10/10 would recommend to anyone trying to find a vet for your pets.They care a lot about any pet that comes through the door.

I haven’t really been to a vet before, but I am glad I chose MPC Vet Clinic. These guys are absolutely amazing! It was very easy to schedule an appointment online. The staff is incredibly nice! Dr. Pinney and his vet tech Dakota answered all of the questions me and my girlfriend had and were very friendly. I had my first visit with my cat in around April, and my second visit recently for my kitten. My favorite part is if your animal is sick they call you a day after to make sure your furbaby is doing okay! I was shocked at how amazing it is here. I work in the medical field and expected most vet clinics to be like human clinics- always grumpy and rude, but NOPE!!! Amazing service!

Great Vet. went there to get my dog check out, her allergies were acting up. Office visit were reasonably priced at $49. got steroid shot and antibiotic for 2 weeks; also at $39 each. front paws nail trim for $19, and a antimicrobial foam for her skin at $39. Just under $200 for the visit. We were well taken care of and the Veterinary took his time to explain everything. My Angel is a pit/lab rescue dog and usually does not like strangers but she was comfortable with the tech and Vet. Overall an excellent Veterinary facility. Have been here a few times and by far the best Veterinary in town.

I visited the Mobile Vet Clinic at Locke Hill Feed Supply after our elderly cat stopped eating and drinking and had a great experience with the staff. I scheduled a follow up visit at their office to get labs by making an appointment through their website (something I've never seen offered by a vet, but is super convenient). The office and staff were very caring and explained the procedures and pricing before going through with them. The doctor called to follow up and emailed all follow up treatment information as well. Overall my experience was the best I've had with a vet's office!

I was able to get a same day appointment for my pug Tyrion, as he wasn't feeling good. Not only were we able to be seen the same day, when I called to let them I was running late due to traffic, I was reassured that we would still be seen. The staff at MPC are very compassionate, and knowledgeable. Thank you for taking the time and making my fur baby feel better! I usually take my pups to their weekend clinics and it's wonderful to know that, I now have a clinic where I can take them during the week if needed. Thank you so much! I did a lot of research on local vets around the area since I am new to San Antonio. I wanted to take my new puppy to a family owned practice and establish his care with someone I could trust! Dr. Pinney and his entire team were all very kind and professional. They answered all my questions and were very gentle with giving my pup all his vaccinations. We went to his clinic and it was very clean, spacious and organized. I am so happy to have found a great vet and will continue to bring my pup here. Thank you!

All of the MPC staff have been so professional , knowledgeable and accommodating with me and one of my high anxiety pups. They take the time and have the patience to take care of his needs. With my other pup, they gave first class service to her during surgery. They kept me in the loop about her spay during the procedure and have called afterward to check in on her. MPC takes exceptional care of my pets. Thank you Dr. Pinney and staff, I can tell you really enjoy what you do and are exceptional at it.

I rescued an abandoned cat that had been on a 2nd story roof for 2 months. I was very apprehensive about her health. One of the women that helped with the rescue told me about MPC and I was thrilled. The staff is caring and so good at what they do. Chris made the visit (and subsequent spay visit) great for me and Amber. He even sent me a picture of her after the surgery. Cost for all treatment was less than I thought it would be. I can't thank them enough for all the help and care given.

My husband and I recently took our poodle, Champ, to MPC and met Drs. Pinney, Father and Son, and staff. They are definitely the most dedicated, kind, informed group of people that we've ever had the pleasure of meeting. They did all they could for Champ, and then referred us to a specialist for his condition. They called to see how he was doing!!! We hope that means as much to you as it did to us. I would give them 10 stars if I could. MPC is now our Forever-vet.

The receptionist is super sweet and they all genuinely care about you and ur furry baby so when I got my new one eyed puppy Mocha I knew right away to bring her to MPC and they took great care of her and addressed all of my concerns. I recommend them anytime anyone is looking for a Vet, the pricing is affordable and you don’t feel overcharged.

We took our dog Watson to MPC due to unknown issues causing him not to walk. MPC was able to make sure Watson was seen for Xrays and helped us get scheduled with a Neurologist for an MRI (going above and beyond). While in their care, they sent us photos and updated us every step of the way and we couldn't be more grateful to them! We have taken our dogs to Dr. Pinney for many years at the Mobile Pet Care clinic and the team never fails to make us feel valued. Recently, the MPC Vet clinic rushed an examination on my dog during a very busy surgery day for them. They took great care of her and made sure to see her as quick as they could. The clinic is also very affordable which makes me feel that they truly value your animal's well being. We will always use MPC Vet Care!!

MPC is awesome! I needed my pet seen quicker than my usual vet could see him, and called MPC based on their proximity and reviews. All those 5 Star reviews are not wrong! The front desk staff made me and my pet feel comfortable immediately, the technicians listened to all of my concerns, and Dr Pinney was very thorough in his exam and recommendations. My little kitty is already feeling so much better and we will continue to be patients!

I found this vet after trying to find an answer to my cat vomiting. The last vet just said “could be anything” but didn’t provide any routes to start finding the problem. I brought her to Dr. Hunter who said the same thing, but actually came up with a diagnosis plan. From there I started taking my other pets here. The staff has been nothing but kind and caring for my pets. I’ve never had a problem and would highly recommend MPC!

The staff at MPC took excellent care of my 8 year old basset, Cooper. They were thorough, kind, and knowledgeable regarding next steps and treatment for him. As many people might agree, dogs are members of the family and they treated him as such. They made sure he felt comfortable and I was felt very at ease during our visit. I took my 13 year old border collie mix for a wellness check. All the staff were loving and kind and gave Daisy the time she needed to transition to the treatment area. Daisy felt secure during the visit and was never anxious. The staff called me in a timely manner to discuss the results of the testing and provided suggestions for reducing her weight. I am so glad I found MPC Veterinary and would definitely recommend them.

I took my fur baby for a wellness exam and to get his first vaccinations and the WHOLE staff was extremely nice!! They went over every little thing so I knew what was being charged and what was included in my puppy package. Hopefully I won’t come back for anything major and we don’t have to visit only to finish his vaccinations but if anything Loki and I will definitely be coming back! Awesome place!

I took my dog to MPC to get a tooth removed Dr.Pinney and his staff went above and beyond to keep me informed as to how my dog was doing they sent me text messages on how he was doing and went as far as to send me a picture after the procedure was done to show he was ok not only that a week after the procedure I received a call from them to check up on my dog which I really appreciated.

If you're looking for a veterinarian. Look no further you found it. My dog Gunner is big and aggressive. The nice tech there worked better with Gunner than any other veterinarian in San Antonio, that I have taken him to. She was petting him by the end of the visit. The veterinarian is great he's very knowledgeable. Update they worked on our cat just this week and did an awesome job.

First time taking my dog to a vet in the USA and they took good care of her, I was scared of being overcharged as I always heard from other people that other places make studies just to charge you extra money but they’ll give you options and let you decide depending on your budget, something which I was thankful for, as well as make a follow up call to see how your dog is doing.

10 for 10 would recommend Dr Pinney and his staff. We have had many pets and seen many vets over the course of time but Dr Pinney and his staff are far and away the most kind, compassionate, thorough group we have ever dealt with. They offered us many options for treatments and care and were available to answer so many questions as we made decisions for our sweet dog.

The staff and care at MPC is phenomenal! We have always gone to the Mobile Pet Clinic on the weekends for shots because they are much less expensive. The last two weeks we needed something immediately with our dog, so we went to the full service. The staff was all friendly and inviting as well as provided excellent care at a reasonable price. Took my baby Luke there today for an emergency visit. Every single person I spoke to on the phone and met with in person we’re absolutely so kind and gave off this warm and welcoming feeling. They were so honest and caring. The office was so clean. It did not smell like most vet offices do. I was very impressed. We found our new clinic for our fur babies.

This crew is fantastic When my 13 yo dachshund needed dental work I was so glad that their mobile clinic did that type of service. From the first visit, they treated my Gina with genuine care. They did a follow-up call a few days later to check on her. Gina is just about back to her spunky ways. I can genuinely say that everyone was wonderful.

This was our first time taking one of our pups here and we’re extremely happy with the entire visit, from the friendliness and professionalism of each staff member to the process of walking us through what treatment for our dog would not only look like but also what it would cost. They were all very sweet with our nervous dog Nash.

Amazing and friendly service. They took the time to make my dog feel comfortable and safe and you could tell they truly cared. Compassionate and excellent care. The staff also explain any charges and the necessity before hand. Any of us with pets know the expense. My perception is the prices are fair and they are not trying to gouge you with unnecessary expenses. They also call the next day to see how your fur baby is doing.

A true blessing. I have two easy-going fur babies and one Tasmanian Devil. They are so patient with Maksim. Everyone is professional and kind, while the medical staff are thorough and knowledgeable.
