Machu Picchu, a Peruvian culinary haven tucked away in Oakville, Ontario, is a dining experience that transcends expectations and elevates the palate. From the moment you step inside, you are transported to the mystical charm of Peru, with its rustic decor and warm, inviting ambiance. The food at Machu Picchu is nothing short of exceptional. Their ceviche is a masterpiece, featuring impeccably fresh seafood delicately marinated in zesty lime juice and adorned with crispy corn and creamy avocado. It's a symphony of flavors and textures that dances on your taste buds. The Lomo Saltado, a Peruvian stir-fry, is an absolute must-try. Tender strips of beef sautéed with onions, tomatoes, and a blend of spices create a harmonious dish that's both comforting and exotic. The fusion of ingredients is a testament to the chef's expertise. What truly sets Machu Picchu apart is their commitment to authenticity. The menu showcases Peruvian classics with unwavering dedication to traditional recipes and high-quality ingredients. The attentive staff add to the charm of the place. They are not only knowledgeable about the cuisine but also passionate about sharing their culture through food. Their warm hospitality makes the dining experience all the more memorable. Machu Picchu also offers a delightful selection of Peruvian beverages, including the iconic Pisco Sour, which pairs perfectly with the meal. Machu Picchu is a culinary gem in Oakville, offering a genuine taste of Peru. Whether you're a seasoned Peruvian cuisine enthusiast or a curious food explorer, a visit to Machu Picchu promises a memorable and delectable journey through the flavors of Peru. It's a dining destination that will have you coming back for more.

It's the first time I have tried this restaurant. I decided to come after reading the reviews. When I called to make the reservation I was advised that at 7pm there was going to be a big party and there could be delays. The decoration, tables and chairs are in the low ~ medium side. The service was average trending to low, maybe because of the big party that was having place at the time I was there. The food was very good. As the time was passing, more people joined the party (about 40) and the noise level increased so much that was really difficult to listen anything. I will give it another try and provide an update based on the experience. Hopefully there is not going to be another big party.

Take out service is terrible. A friend ordered two chickens for a party and the order had one chicken only. They had to go to the restaurant to pick up the second chicken. Restaurant never apologized for this error. Salad is really poor, its just lettuce with some weird dressing. The amount of french fries was a very small portion for two chicken. This was the second party where they ordered chicken from this restaurant and they had issues with the takeout. Restaurant location is pretty bad. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Mediocre food. There are several options of Peruvian food around much much better; Shame on me for ordering here. Portions where brief and overpriced. I paid almost $90 for 2 plates and an appetizer that barely feed 1. I ate in this restaurant years ago. I gave it a second try hoping If I was just unlucky the 1st time… noup I was not, this is just a very mediocre restaurant. You are better off googling the recipes and cook it yourself; for sure the portions would be richer….. Don’t waste your time, do not eat here. If you like it, you probably have not had good Peruvian food. Please explore!

I don't know why this restaurant has good reviews. Two days ago I ordered lomo saltado to see if they can make something as easy as this dish and then order more food another day. They gave me more fries than meat, they literally gave me 6 pieces of meat and not well done, the fries were very sticky and the rice had a strange smell, you could tell it wasn't fresh. A waste of time and money. I find it very unfortunate, I thought I no longer had to go all the way to Toronto to get good Peruvian food. I hope they get another cook.

It was a strange time going to this place, it is located inside the 50's diner currently. They are doing modifications to where the restaurant is going to be. As such we can get diner food and Peruvian food at the same time. We got some Peruvian food and it was fantastic, I'd highly recommend it!

I stopped by this Peruvian restaurant in Oakville on my way back to Toronto. I have to say it was delicious. I had “ Lomo Saltado” and “Mix Ceviche” and were amazing. The customer service was excellent the waiters supper friendly and make you feel pretty welcome! Looking forward to the day I can come back and dine in again! I highly recommended this place whether you’re Peruvian or love Peruvian food.

Simple looking diner converted to a Peruvian restaurant. We had a veg ceviche (palmitos) and the beef. Both were excellent, good size portions, and reasonably priced. Very genuine Peruvian food with good friendly service. Hidden gem.

Hands down just amazing food! So flavorful. First time I went in but I have been driving past for years and now regret not going sooner! I ordered all different items and everything was honestly perfect. Literally thought I was sitting in Machu Picchu, Peru . A must try! The staff was also very friendly and talkative seems like a wonderful family working together, and the food was made with love

Really nice Peruvian restaurant in Oakville. I loved my tacu tacu with lomo. The meat was so tender and flavourful and I will most definitely be returning soon to order it again. My mom also loved her ceviche!

Great experience. Our server was funny and made us feel welcomed and the owner was walking around making himself widely available to speak and he was also very welcoming. Food was delicious, we got the filet mignon stir fry linguini and the cassava root appetizer! Great prices, food and friendly environment. Definitely coming again.

The best and most authentic Peruvian food you’ll try outside of Peru!!! One bite and you’re easily transported to Lima where you can feel and taste the rich flavours of its culture. A great place to sit and enjoy the friendly staff and ambiance. A must try!!

Everything is so delicious in this restaurant! Been going here for the last 10 years. Their Ceviche is the best by far in the GTA. But it seems that the location is closed permanently.
