Had my coat ruined here due to the negligence of staff not carefully assessing the garment before dry cleaning, what makes this situation worse is the way the owner of the business responded to this issue. 1. There was absolutely no accountability taken, except for being yelled at by Mr Kitada. He initially refused to provide a refund, apparently it was my fault my coat got damaged at the drycleaners (what a joke) 2. Took this case further to NSW Fair Trading to which Mr Kitada lied about offering to take my coat to be assessed by the Dry Cleaning Institute of Australia. (blows my mind) I definitely would not get any dry cleaning done here if you care about your garments, unless you want a rough rumble and tumble of your garments such as a sloppy tea towel that is ready to be biffed in the bin

I love Macleay St Laundrette. I originally tried a couple of the laundromat in the area but once I went to these guys I knew I had found my place. Level of service is well above standard in all ways. They are honest, hard working and polite and friendly. Once I accidentally left some money in a pocket of a pair of pants in my bag wash. It was returned in full. How often would that happen? If you are looking for an exceptional Laundrette that gives a 5 star service but only charges a basic fee then look no further. You have found a rarity; honest friendly staff who take pride in their work and charge reasonable rates. THANK YOU MACLEAY ST LAUNDRETTE, I know my washing and dry cleaning is one thing I don't have to worry about. You are the best!

The ladies who work there are humble and cheerful, but I'm sitting on the fence about an Older guy who's a bit rude for some strange reason. I have been told he has good days and bad days guess I got one of the bad days ! Giving business lessons isn't my thing but a brand / business is based on its people and its product , telling customers off even once is never to be recovered ! As for simple good manners & behaviour I can voice on that 100% , theres no need to loose your manners and teaching that you were brought up with. Treat people like you like to be treated. Bad energy you send out will always catch up with you. If you want to obtain from others try the soft approach first. This is not a mistake feedback.

Terrible customer service! I brought my clothes there for a bag wash last week. At home I realised that some items, like socks and 2 pieces of underwear, were missing. On top of this the things didn't smell like they had been freshly washed and some things were still dirty (I didn't bring heavily stained things). When I called to give notice about this to the manager he was terribly impolite and told me it was my problem if the washing didn't meet my standards. Never going back there and wouldn't recommend anyone to go there if you want your complete laundry back or if you want clean clothes.

These other reviews are seriously dodgey. I have lived in potts point for 15 years and have been using this laundrette longer than I can remember. The service is always friendly and my bag wash is always done within 24 hours, if not the same day (when dropped off early), all folded and sorted. I've never had a problem and they don't even have a counter; that's the one next door. This could be an understandable mistake as the doors are both blue and right next to each other. The Laundrette is the left one and I highly recommend it.

I love this place. I was a regular customer here about 12 years ago and changed dry cleaners when I moved. I went back here recently and they remembered me straight away... including my name. The level of service and quality of cleaning is excellent. I absolutely trust them with my most special pieces and can't believe I left it so long to come back. They will forever have my loyalty and I will make the effort to travel here to get my dry cleaning done from now on.

We've used MacLeay St for years now and the service has always been friendly - they go above and beyond every time. The quality has always been top notch and speedy service. It's clear from the lack of responses on the bad reviews that they are about the Laundromat beside them, who made their shop blue after these guys!

The price is affordable and they do a quick job but the laundry (bag wash & dry) came back with no smell - like they really just washed it with water. They did said they use cleaning powder. If that is the case - it’s not worth the money since I have to re-wash it in my house.

Excellent service. I had some very muddy clothes that I had fallen in mud and needed the jeans...fantastic service, great price and my clothes smell delicious (after dirt and muck!!) They even gave me back my plastic bag all clean and new!!! Great work!!!

Visiting from out of town, stopped at 2 other nearby locations. Macleay St Laundrette was the only one that could do my wash same day and for the same price as the other locations. Thank you!

This poor place is getting all the negative reviews for the rude cleaners next door. Just had my sheets washed and pressed and they did a fantastic job and were incredibly friendly!

Very friendly service, even opened the door once although I arrived 15 min before opening hour. Washing & ironing of shirts is good! Nothing to complain! I recommend this place!
