"Very poor visibility for viewing games is limited by huge beams blocking off the closest side of the field in the viewing areas very poorly constructed Thumbs down improve visibility and I will change my rating visibility has gotten better by quite a bit so I raise my 4 thumbs down to thumbs up …"
"Came to watch our sons soccer game today"
This soccer centre is in the middle of nowhere yet it still manages to boast several large, several-story tall garbage piles that are extremely fragrant in all but the coldest of weather. The viewing gallery is small, and up high far away from the fields, meaning you have to fight with other parents for precious viewing space. Not only that, if the teams are playing on the far fields you can barely see them. To further add to the questionable design decisions, there are massive steel pillars that block off viewing from at least half of the already small viewing gallery. Good luck watching corner kicks unless you belay from the gallery.
I am not sure what the difference is between Macron Performance Centre and the Foothills United Field is. The Centre is a well thought out facility with eating area and stands. The turf here is top-notch and on par with the Bearpaw Indoor facility. It is great that it is a full-sized field, but can also be split up into multiple fields for the younger players too. They host a great end-of-Summer soccer tournament here that kids really enjoy and compete their hearts out for. Shout-out to KALTIRE for cooking and serving free smokies and hot dogs to players and parents this year.
This is a terrible facility. Parking is gabbage, you can’t watch the whole field especially ones below and the cafe . Facilities like Genesis and Soccer Centre are way much better than this. Foothills facility should be a practice facility not a Tier 1 soccer place. CMSA dumped it on us because we have no choice? Well it’s BS as this ain’t worth a star it’s just like it’s gabbage neighborhood.

Came to watch our sons soccer game today. Instead, all you can see is massive support columns and 1/4 of the field. Way to take the total joy out of watching your child play. Who cares how nice the field is. You pay a lot of money for your child to play competitive, and CMSA thinks it’s better that you can’t watch and enjoy at all.
Very limited seating and parking. Crowd and capacity is controlled at entry. Staff can be rude at times. If more information was posted and shared with all teams about this facilities rules it would make for a better experience. Also not handicap friendly and snow ice removal is an after thought.
The building design is super bad. Starting with Change Rooms outside, inconvenient viewing areas (especially for the double-field set up), overcrowded, not handicap friendly, very limited parking...etc. Whomever has designed this needs to be taken their engineering license away.
Parking lot and walkways towards the facility are very unsafe in the winter. Please do a better job of removing the ice and snow and adding better lighting. Super far location which is hard to access during winter months and no water fountains by the field for players.
Awesome turf and size of facility, a water bottle fill station and time clocks would be huge improvements. Needs WAY more sideline space - time at end of sessions is terrible when next groups arrive, impacts game play. Overall good facility, especially the location.
Very poorly planned facility; bad location, the spectator area is absolutely terrible with big columns blocking the view and with the filed being essentially wall to wall you can't see what is happening at the "bottom" of the field. Having
Did you try to design the worst possible venue to watch football. The spectator section is blocked by high beams and angles that you can't see the kids playing. Poor very poor. Did I mention parking ? What a joke of a complex.
Terrible for change rooms, warm ups and spectator viewing. They should quarter turn the fields so that spectators can watch the full game instead of partial. Feels like the viewing area was an after thought from the architect.
The fields are good to play on, the facility offers free streaming cameras to atch from on the facility website, but watching in person here is far from ideal especially on the nearest fields.
5 stars for the field and staff. 2 stars lost for the facility. It's a warehouse with a great pitch. Not purpose built, and if it was, that's unfortunate, it wasn't done well.
Parking is pretty bad here. The viewing platform is obstructed so it's hard to see the other goal if you are on the one side. Otherwise, looks to be a good soccer field
Agree with the all the viewing comments and, no AC from viewing level and get some dividers between the fields. Random balls from others games is totally not cool!
The bathrooms are disgusting, and the viewing is horrible, but being a soccer player, the fields are super nice, except for the occasional glare from the sun.
Absolutely amazing big indoor field with good turf.Although a little far from the city its a good spot to get your kids active especially during winter.
It has been a wonderful experience having our Son join Foothills after trying other clubs and they have the best facilities of any club in Calgary
We are so thankful for this indoor space. We travel with players from Canmore to come here. During COVID staff and volunteers have been great.
One of a kind facility in the city! Supports thousands of soccer players, keeping the love of the game growing! The city should build more!!
We try to watch our son play here during the indoor season, as for spectators are concerned possibly the worst centre to watch a game.
Referees don’t get paid. Operations manager Colin gives you a run around like a used car salesman. Beware many referees not paid
Very poor building design. Seats are so limited and audience can barely watch the games. Also it’s in the middle of nowhere.
Very good facility to practice and play in. Viewing could be better but for a player or coach it doesn’t get much better.
Terrible seating. Structure is in the way if you play on the closer field. Spectator area is not very efficient.
This is the worst facility I have ever been in for viewing a sport. The fields are nice but that is about it.
Absolutely atrocious viewing area. Not to mention the dump right next door. Worst soccer house in the city
Really poor spectator viewing area... It seems like an afterthought.... Atrociously bad!
They need to improve on the seating area so that we see the whole pitch in all sides
Not set up for spectator support. Very poor plan and parking with distant location.
Nice place for games but balconies have limited angle for viewing kids playing..
If you are playing or coaching it's great. Spectator experience not so good!
Just old and run down. Playing surface is like a old office carpet.
Beautiful new building,Love soccer ! (football Lol )
Nice field not so nice change rooms or viewing area
So hard to watch a game here.
Love these fields for 7v7!
Sight lines are so trash
