I took my 78 year old mom and brother to the Macy's at Westfield mall for a little black Friday shopping. We had just purchased some earrings and were looking for a coat. Mom asked one of the sales people where she could find one... She asked in English at first and they didn't understand her.. It's not her first language. She then asked in Spanish and was totally made to feel embarrassed when one the sales persons loudly and rudley exclaimed “No one speak Spanish here!!” I felt so bad for mom as she shrunk in embarrassment and tried to ask in broken English, but the woman just glared at her and didn't help. My brother intervened and hugged mom and asked again where we could find the coats. The sales person immediatlety changed her demeanor when she saw she wasnt alone. One of The sales ladies at the jewelry dept at Macys on topanga canyon is rude and prejudiced against spanish speakers. She knows who she is and I hope the rest of the sales people there arent like that. She was awful to my mom and hopefully doesnt represent the culture at Macys.

We had a very bad experience at Macy's fashion jewelry section at 21900 Vanowen St., Canoga Park, CA 91303. Barbara, behind the counter, talking to another co-worker, made us wait for several minutes to answer a simple short question, and once I said, "Can I ask a simple question?" She rudely responded: "Can't you see we're talking?" Without saying anything back to her, we continued looking at other items, hoping she would come and help us afterward. Instead, after finishing her long conversation with the co-worker, she just left and ignored us. This kind of behavior is not acceptable at department stores like Macy's. This happened on July 15th, 2023, around 4-4:30 pm. We were shopping for my wife's birthday. We left to another store, and we were very disappointed with such a rude behavior of the salesperson.

I want to start by thanking Alan, Jermen & Edwin from the perfume/ cologne department. I came to Macy's to possibly get gifts, for my boyfriend, parents, my boyfriends parents and my Boss and his wife. I was unsure of what I was looking for and here comes Alan. He saved me so much time, he gave me the best attention, great customer service, showed me exactly what I was looking for, exceeding my expectations. Alan, along with Jermen and Edwin, made my experience so smooth, so great! I cannot be more thankful, you guys got me in and out of the store. You paid so much attention to detail, ensured my gifts looked amazing! The picture shows how much time was put in perfecting them for my family. Forever grateful, Thank you!!!!

Probably the worst customer service I've ever encountered. There was this white male, looked like late 30's who I asked for assistance at the jewelry counter probably 6 times in 15 minutes (mind you, he wasn't busy AT ALL.) and he just brushed over me. I really wanted to buy that pair of $650 dollar earrings, but the looks I was receiving along with the vibes were truly disgusting. I don't know if it was the fact that I wasn't dressed head to toe in designer or that I look very young or that I didn't have 10 million bags on my arms. Regardless, I went to Pandora, where I was helped IMMEDIATELY and the sales associates really seemed to care about the comfort of their clientele. Won't be returning

Just close the store already! The cashiers hate being there. It shows in their complete lack of customer service. An employee ran ahead of me to have her friend Gaby ring her up. They both looked at me like I should go to another register, so I did but the line was too long so I went back. After 10 minutes of waiting (no other customers there) Gaby told me if I did not want to wait for her to ring up her co worker I could go to another register. I want to turn in my Macy’s card. I could get better service at the Dollar Tree. Won’t be spending my money here since they don’t care about my business anyway. Women’s lingerie department sucks. No managers anywhere, no wonder the employees are so bad.

Horrible service. Not only were they slow but an order that I placed on black friday and they could not manage to find till yesterday (3 weeks later) was handed to me with the bag already ripped open and looking like some had stomped on the box repeatedly. I spoke to a man who claimed to be one of the managers yesterday and he told me to ask for Kahdija when I went into the store and she'd take care of me. This woman chose to stay in the stock room instead of displaying some form of customer service, meanwhile I'm dealing with another woman going back and forth asking my name repeatedly because she could not remember it. Nightmare store and staff.

Went in to find some new dress shirts, and some jeans. Was a little hard to find someone to help me in a couple departments, but was able to find what I needed for the most part. Some inventory on the floor in Men’s dress shirts looked a bit picked over, lacking some restocking efforts. It’s convenient to be able to make a purchase online if I can’t find an item in store, then be able to return quickly in store if it didn’t fit etc. The cashier who rang up my items was a bit frustrating when she would persist in asking me several times about opening a Macy’s card, despite me insisting that I don’t have one and am not interested in opening one.

My fiancée and I stopped by this Macy to look at wedding bands. They didn't have many selections like other places but the customer service the ladies at the Jewlery department was great. I don't know if mask are required to enter but we had ours on and all the workers had their on too. The place was very clean and organize, I didn't see any items on the floor like other location. I did however had a hard time finding a trash can to throw away my coke can but I just walked into the mall and use the trash can in the front. We parked in the parking spots where Macy is and next to Target, we didn't have issues finding parking at all.

The salesladies in men's watches were so mean and rude! I had just purchased about 3 suits and a bunch of clothes (which I had in my hand). I also purchased a watch that I needed a few links taken out, when she told me "it's not free". I told her I didn't assume that it was, but while she was being rude to me another lady associate stepped in and said it was free since I purchased it at Macy's. They went back and forth about it. The first associate, who was being rude to me said she would get a manager. I told her that I don't have time, so I paid $15. After calling Macy's, they told me that I shouldn't have paid

I purchased a 2-piece loveseat last Oct 22, 2022 for pickup from Macy's Topanga. I picked up one loveseat on the same day but they told me the freight elevator was down and can't lower the other loveseat. I was promised it will be ready in 2 weeks but it's already 4 weeks and it will not be ready for Thanksgiving! They told me the freight elevator is still down with no date of repair. They should order the other loveseat from their warehouse or refund my credit card for the full purchase price if they can't deliver. The Store Manager is not doing anything and their customer service is terrible!!!

Terrible services, people who works there love to sell but hate to help. You can't get any answers from them. After she sold me few boxes of perfumes, tried to hurry gift wrapped without putting bows, didn't give me some samples for another scents I'd like to try first and buy. On the top of that, she forgot to give me the original receipts, and gift receipts, and told me to come back another day to get from the main rep for each perfumes I bought. Spents almost thousand for each visit and you got treated like this??? Lucky I gave them 1 star!

The casher asked me to get my social security for more discount 25% and member ship only and she applied for credit card from City bank without my knowledge $300 . she charged my purchase $28 on the card not my bank card without telling me now I got the bank charged $ 271 interest and my credit score now 602 instead of 742 she is lair she will tell the card for member ship and discount never gave them your social security number will stole you at this branch now I can not rent apartment because my credit score very low

Horrible service i got $50 star money after purchasing toys for my kids,i went shopping for myself and almost i was 4 th customer in line for cashier after my turn came she decided not to help me saying i am closed i went to clinique register,she made a mistake charged me twice for the most expensive blouse i purchased and sheied to me saying i cant use your star money,i was robbed infront of my eyes,they called Bill the manager he said same thing . Doesn’t deserve even a zero star horrible service ,

Costumer service isn't good at all, I would use a different workd but.... sales people aren't helpful at all! Except for the perfume department the rest are all there to get paid amd don't care for nothing else. I love the brands they carry and I mostly shop online, but this time I had guests visiting... Overall I prefer shopping online rather than going there. I love their bedding collection and women clothing the most. If you can shop online do it it's much faster and convenient.

Long lines, rude staff. Returns are not accepted unless you locate one counter in a far corner. Took an hour of standing in multiple lines to return an online purchase. And, this was not a busy day. Deceptive return policies. Some items now must be returned within 30 days. No indication anywhere on any signs regarding the policy changes. Discussed with first floor manager (Ms. Grace) who agreed that this was poor customer service. So, they get one fully deserved star.

I had the most amazing experience on my visit to the fragrance department on 12/20/23. Allan helped me with my decision on what perfume to purchase my mom. Allan was very attentive to detail. He offered to wrap my gist as well. I was so please with his exceptional customer service that I purchased a cologne for my husband as well. I also spoke to Edwin in the same department and gave Allan accolades. Thank you Allen at Macy's Topanga Fragrance Department!

Macy's need to make this rep a manager! Because she can run the jewelry department and make the appropriate suggesting when it comes to buying a gift! I really love shopping at macys but I was disappointed today. I went in and purchased a small heart necklace. When I got home I looked at the receipt, and I got charged for a 14k rooster necklace. I went online and looked for the necklace that I had purchased and it was half the price of what I got charged. I had to drive all the way back to get the price adjusted. I don’t feel assured shopping at this macys anymore.

Great place to shop they carry loads of designer clothes at descent prices. To get the most out of your visit get to know there different sale days and specials. They have them all the time. There having a big Dec 26 day after xmas sale. Plus they always a big sale rack in the middle of the store. Check out can be challenging sometimes but it's worth it. By that I mean finding a check out station open.

Unfortunately, it was not that great today. The young salesman was working alone in the shoe department with a 50% off boot sale. Took almost half hour just to request a size and another ten minutes for the boots to come out to try them. Luckily for me, they fit and my sister stood in line while I tried them on so we wouldn't have to wait again. Not cool!!!

Excellent selections. Definately my favorite department store. BUT more often than not, including today, there just aren't enough people working late. Tonight about an hour before closing, I went up to the 3rd floor, and needed some help. Zero employees upstairs. Repeat - ZERO. The 4 stars are for the product variety & quality they offer

People ignorantes you so bad. As a full retail price store, should train their employee but their busy standing behind the registers doing nothing. Asked for help and said they are out of stock but nothing to offer a replacement. We walkout with no purchase. Expecting this service at Walmart but not at macys.

Great customer service from Azar in men’s department. Needed a suit for job interviews, she did the measurement and brought me different suits to try on in the fitting room. After she helped me pick a shirt that goes well with the suit. I found all the items that fit well and looked good with her expert eye.

I love this store! There is a lot of parking and everyone in the store is so nice and helpful. It is one stop place for almost all type of shopping. It is very popular for clothing, shoes, cookingware and many other things. Cosmetics department is fabulous! Good discounts too. Highly recommended!

Macy's is always a fun store to go to, I usually go to buy a particular lotion, which seems the store is always out of it, and customer service always tell me they can order for me to be at store or mailed to my house. It's just that I'd rather just be able to buy it at the store when I'm there.

We got a mail of the promotion coupon with $10 off or 25% off that expires end of November 2022. However those coupons are not applicable when we purchase shoes. They are playing with customers with bait and switch tactics It is absurd.

Extremely disappointed. I used to be able to find find anything I wanted specifically when it came to dresses at Macy's. Now, there's absolutely nothing.. The quality is horrible, downtown cheap dresses all over the department store.

Don't park in the mall parking, that's a rookie mistake. Drive past kittredge, closer to vanowen, and Macy's has its own dedicated parking! There's always space, you don't have to fight for a spot, and there's no time limit!!
