Purchased a ring (few hundred dollars), and arranged for pick up at Macy's Century City. my email confirmation lead me to the wrong department for pick up and after meandering around the store i found the jewelry counter. After i gave my information and my driver's license they brought the ring out. at first glance the ring was dull and not shiny. the clerk didn't seem to care about actually helping me other than ushering me out. he never offered to clean the smudges on the ring and when i asked for some kind of tissue paper, ribbon or wrapping paper, i was told "we have nothing, you can go to the mall's concierge desk and they will tell you where you can go to get this wrapped." hmmm that seemed to be upsetting. MACY'S will do NOTHING about wrapping a gift??? Pandora, Swarovski and other mid range jewelers ALL offer some kind of wrapping to make gift purchases look nice and they are all considerably cheaper retailers than macy's... i was a bit shocked. and it wasn't until i asked about some other pieces in the case, which caused the clerk to perk up and be more helpful. LOOK I GET IT you're not getting a commission on the online sale but C'MON at least act like you like your job!!! i got help but when i do buy i plan on buying from someone that actually wants to help me out and earn their commission. will i go back to this macy's... PROBABLY NOT... sorry not sorry.
The cashier whose name is Denise and identities as an African American woman with dyed hair in red was beyond rude to us and just left without helping us complete our purchase. The item I brought to buy didn't have a tag on so she asks me in the most impolite way to get one with a tag on. I went and found one with a price tag and came back and saw she's now helping a different customer so I had to wait again, when it was finally my turn she says she can't help me because according to her I threw the item with the tag on the table which is completely false and I have my husband and other customers as witnesses. She just left and abandoned me and other customers in line and when I asked her name so that I could file a complaint about her unacceptable behavior she YELLED "leave me alone KID" I'm beyond disappointed in Macy's and how it hired these employees and allows them to talk to customers like this. This was the rudest interaction I've ever had in my life in a store. Macy's at century City mall was our favorite spot to go but we will never ever go there again and I will never buy a single item from Macy's again.
I am very upset and disappointed in the manager at this store , her name is Gabriella she would not give last name or any other information I wanted to return two bathing suits and they both have tags and never used. They are gifts to me , and I called the store and spoke with jlled? She also would not give last name. She said bring them in as long as they don't pass the 90 day return policy. I just got them from a friend as a gift. I told the managers Gabriella that and she didn't even want to come and talk face to face with me The sales clerk put her on speaker in front of all the other costumers and they all could hear her yelling at me. I told her to come and talk to me, she made me wait 10 minutes and said no, no I will not return or exchange I need a receipt I said you have all the tags and you have the same items in your store, she was yelling and no, no ok, ok. Very up set
Just a quick note to say "thank you" to Jaleh, a wonderful, kind and highly capable associate, who, despite being the only one working on the entire floor, including managing the fitting room and the cashier, exhibited the highest level of professionalism while helping me with some Mac Duggal gowns. I needed help in the fitting room with the zipper, and, despite her serious multi-tasking, she kindly responded that she was unable to due to the fact she was the only one working on the entire floor. Luckily, there was a kind woman in the fitting room next to me, Lily, who helped me with my zipper. This store has a respectable evening wear section and great customer service. Macy's - if you are reading this - please make sure you provide adequate support to your employees, especially amazing ones like Jaleh, so that you can retain top talent.
There were literally only TWO people on the floor to help! The man told us he was too busy to helpe because he was on the phone with someone and it would take a long time before he could take our money. We literally walked to the other side of the building when we found Carmen who was willing to help us to pay for our merchandise. I had over $500 in merchandise that I was going to pay for but I left it because I was so upset I just paid for my daughters. That is really unacceptable. I want to give Carmen five stars but the business itself is four stars. I understand that you have to cut personnel due to the pandemic but for a business as big as this one there is no reason for an entire floor to be manned by only two people.
I've always enjoyed shopping at Macy's and at Westfield Century City, but the customer service at this Macy's is terrible. First time I come, they put the wrong shoes in the box, and I couldn't use them for the event I had that evening. Second time I come, I asked for assistance with a shoe size, and he brushed me off and completely ignored me. The manager did come and was very helpful. Today I come again, and asked for a size and rather than making a last minute sale, the lady behind the counter tells me that she's closing, right after they say in the announcements that they will be closing soon. Very disappointed with the shoe department!
There is not enough good things I can say about Claudia in the women's jewelry department. She was patient and knowledgeable and worked with us over an hour to find my daughter the perfect necklace and earrings within our budget for her wedding. We had spent 4 hours at the mall in Century City being disappointed because all the other department stores and jewelry stores were either way over budget or costume jewelry or not special enough for her wedding. We were exhausted and prepared to go home disappointed. Claudia saved he day. I wanted to go back and bring her flowers or cookies, but my daughter said that would be a bit much !.
Made an online purchase with debit card for $411.61. Normally, I go into the store. However, I am hospitalized. My order was cancelled, without my knowledge. Was told they needed to hold the $411.61 while the debt processed. I argued. I had neither money nor product. I waited the 7 days, today. No money and no product. My bank says Macy's never returned the $$$. I'm on SSA. Can't afford to pay twice, they told me if I paid twice, I'd get my merch while they hold my first $411.61. I am going into the store today, my disabled self . Macy's just plain stole my $422.61. I will contact Manhattan DA over this. Boycott Macy's.
The worst place to shop. There is hardly any cash register open, you get robbed of the price you paid for if you attemp to return something and they dont even honor their own gift receipt pricing. I tried to return a blouse with gift receipt and the wanted to give me $18. I showed them the receipt that i had for the amount of $58 and then they gave me back $58. What is a gift receipt good for then? You want to make the matters worse .... they wanted to charge $98 for the same blouse if i wanted to buy it. What a rip off store chain. Dont ever shop there.
Coupon is a joke! It excludes so so many things. I bought 6 Tommy Bahama shirts and the coupon didn't say they were excluded except for online orders. I was in the store and was told Tommy Bahama is not available on the coupon despite the fact that it wasn't listed as an exclusion. I asked to speak with a manager. She insisted that the coupon could not be used but agreed to "do it this time", as if she was doing me a favor. If it is excluded, the coupon should say so. What a royal pain. Next time, Nordstrom
What do I love from Macy's? Everything. The returning process. You just need to keep the receipt of the purchase and take the clothes back to the store they will give you a gift card in exchange or if you want the money back remember to bring your credit card or debit card you paid with to the store so they can cancel the order. The parking was free and you can find many brands and discounts all over the store. Perfumes clothes accessories handbags makeup shoes and much more
The Worst: I went out of my way to visit this store only to look for an available store associate for 15 minutes with no success. The Levi’s and shoe department had lines of customers, myself and others were left unhelped. To top it off: the brand advertised as available at this location isn’t carried here, per the one clerk I was finally able to speak with. Wholly unacceptable customer service. Macy’s: you should be ashamed of yourselves.
I LOVE A GOOD DEAL. Walked in to take a look at "improving my sleep" options in the Home section, 2nd floor. Scheffee, a bright, happy, and confident black gal. She has 37 years of experience. She'll show you the way. She directed me to the $340 down alternative comforter. I share her confidence when she said "you're going to love this. It's rare ANYONE ever refund these." ADDED BONUS: instead of $340, i only paid $143+tax
I only went to pick up a suitcase I had ordered online. But I had to pass fragrances on my way out. The perfume lady was delightful. After checking out Chanel fragrances looking for different from my usual Madmoiselle, I purchased Chance. She encouraged me to open account and I did. Then I thought about a fragrance gift for my husband and bought Issae Miyaki (sp?). Elevator was right by handicapped parking so I was happy.
This is one of the nicest Macy’s that I’ve ever shopped, next to the one in Herald Square. I love a good value. This location does not disappoint. I scored a fabulous tote from Coach. The sales associates I dealt with professional and made sure to help me get a good deal. This location has something for everyone in the family, including a well-stocked Toys R Us. The store is accessible and the restrooms are clean.
Price is ok but online customer service and store employees are the problem. Most of them doesn't have enough knowledge about Macy's policy or product information so if you get someone in that catagory then you are stuck. Also, all of them takes care of same matter in different way so becareful. Last thing, please hire someone who can speak or understand English and good pronunciation.
Shoe department has horrible customer service your assigned one person and no one else can help you if that person is assigned to you is busy you have to wait for them to help you while the employees stand there doing nothing. I asked an employee for a shoe and she told me she couldn't help cause someone else was helping me already. I can't believe I still bought some shoes
You guys are severely understaffed. No one in existence in the entire watch department (??) to assist me, so I wondered around the entire jewelry/make up/perfume section searching for someone for at least 15 mins to no avail as each of the 3 ppl you appear to have available are busy serving others - are the rest of your staff out Xmas shopping?
Waited an hour and a half into jewelry line only to be told that the item was not available and they couldn't open the safe so search for more. The big disappointment was they would not give me a rain check on the $300 off advertisement. Seem like a come on to sell something else on Christmas Eve. Very disappointed in there jewelry department
What is the point of this department store anymore? Online shopping has entirely replaced the entire point of Macy's the options have been lower and lower quality over the years and the sale options aren't even decent anymore. Last time I went was for Black Friday a couple of years ago and realized never to bother going in the store anymore.
Unfortunately I can’t put 0. Avoid the area shoes for men. 2 employees only talking together. You ask for a size they go together but you see that you disturb them. You ask for another size immediately sauf no we don’t have and never ask you for assistance. Paid to talk all day long. No customer service AWFUL. I will never come back
Not a fan of malls or dept. stores but found a few gems here on the sales rack. They have these sales year-round to make room for the new season's items. The prices are down by as much as 75%. They dump all of Ivanka Trump's labels here! ;P Store managers are helpful. Huge selection of over-priced goods. No wonder retail's dead.
During my visit while looking for a present for my son, an employee and what I assume was the security guard racially profiled us. When they saw us walking throughout the store they started to follow us and check to see what we were doing. The security guard even started to maddogg my son like he had a problem with him.
Very nice location but the staff is seemingly ultra paranoid of shoplifting! I was trying on 3 pairs of jeans and within 5 minutes 2 employees entered the changing room I was using and checked all of my items and were questioning me as if I was stealing something! Very strange... other than that it’s a very nice store.
Employee very rude really by her expression did not want to wait on me did everything but wait on me I am a Senior Citizen and handicapp in Fragrance dept she did not know I was HandicappTry. Not to show it believe it was because of my race will not be returning Except to get a Refund on my Purchase bad attitude person
Nice place to shop shoes, I'm a big fan of shoe department. Yousef in shoe customer service is very nice and helpful, I just go to macy's website to see what I like, I write down the code and call them to save the item for me. It's really takes only 10 minutes for me to pick up from them later. Thanks guys. LUV U
The service is so slow and spotty. The cashiers are so hard to come by and take there time. I found that they tend to be really short with me that at this point I just do everything online but I always dread either doing a return there or having to buy something that I wouldn't normally buy online.
I bought a handbag from Shirley a few weeks ago, she explained the whole product line gave me ideas on how to use my handbag and was very helpful. Shirley is very rare, she made me feel like I had a new friend. I will buy my next handbag and wallet from her as well. Shirley is a 5 STAR EMPLOYEE.
My Experience shopping at Macy's Was fantastic.. items i bought where already on sale.. i needed up saving even more... thanks Macy's Also i noticed in the store..the store was very clean and neat. Great customer service Everyone was smiling.. yes i will be back On my birthday 2 23 2022
I wish I could rate this experience as no stars because we encountered a rude perfume/cologne clerk who offered us an unprofessional, non customer service experience. We have never had such a terrible experience at Macy’s. Thank you, Ms. Rude, for making us feel unappreciated as customers.
This Macy's was more organized than other locations. We had to look hard, but we found a gift for my Suegra. If I come back to a Macy's I might come back to this one if I'm feeling up to dealing with the paid parking lot. No one in the mall wants to validate your parking except Gelson's.
Customet Service is horrible..the the guy in red shirt in photo ln my opinion was racist ..there was 2 people seating in 4 people table..they left ..an he refused to seat me n my friend n we were waiting for over 15 minutes..No one else was waiting..I will not ever go back there..
Staff at the Service Desk near men's sweaters was very helpful and friendly as was Peter in men's sport shoes. Jay in men's casual shoes also a great help and friendly. The new store is quite impressive I haven't been to LA in 6 years and went to the old Macy's.
Mildred and Odessa were amazing!! They have the best customer service and helped me find the items I was looking for. I appreciate their help and service. I will be back at this location again and hopefully I can see them again. Wonderful, thank you both.
Got hurt on my left thigh when I tried on a jeans. The security tag came off and scratched me. badly. Macy manager didn’t say any word about sorry but refuse to take responsibility. She said this happens. As a customer, I deserve respect and safety.
Sayeh was an amazing help. She went above and beyond in the women’s department and even helped us put outfits together. Also, Shirine in the Chanel department was an incredible help. We will be asking for both of them when we return .
The sweetest man in the jewelry store helped my friend and I with several questions. I don’t remember his name but he was an older man, Italian and was happy to help. I was very pleased with this particular Macy’s experience !
One of my favorite Macy's stores. Located in the newly renovated Century City, I can take my time and enjoy the shopping experience. There is always someone to you in every department of Macy's with creative and fun ideas.
Awesome store with huge collection of clothing even though the prices are on the higher end. That's true for pricing in any Macys store! You pay for the quality and collection and have no regrets spending your dollar's.
I was disappointed by their clearance section and overall what they had to offer in the men section (clothing). I guess it varies depending on the weeks. Still very clean, nice people in it, overall good experience
Great holiday deals and friendly staff. Take the Shortcut thru Bloomingdales opposite of H&M don't walk in a circle thru the whole mall. Signs can be clearer. 1 hr free parking so every second counts!
Grateful for advice from Martha in cosmetics who went beyond in helping prepare for a last minute weekend event we were attending at Sony Music Studios. The Chanel skincare purchase has me hooked.
I like this location very much. Yousef (Customer Support In Shoe Department) always help me to find what I want. He is polite and helpful. I like beauty department. All girls are nice and helpful.
Very nice place the person helped me her name was doll, I appreciate it for her help. she was very professional helpful nice and lovely person. If I could put more stars I would. Thank you Doll
Was not pleased with their small selection of women fragrances. A male employee was busy talking about personal things with another customer, and the two ladies only one of them was helpful.
Package got lost they sent me another item no questions ask. However, found the original package later on so went to Macy's to return the 2nd item. Such an easy and painless process.
The shoe department is way too small.I love the Last Chance area. Many clothes were 30 percent off.I ended up finding a wonderful dress shirt there. The employees are always helpful.
Cashier was sweet and professional. But as usual, the store is understaffed. I saw customers walk away because got tired of waiting in line to pay for their merchandise. ;(
amazing service, men's suit cashier lady with arm brace knew the exact size my boyfriend needed with one look, and helped him pick out exactly what he wanted.
6/17/23 at 7:14pm absolute nightmare in the parking garage. Complete gridlock for 41 minutes. We ended up canceling our plans and just leaving.
This is always one of my favorite stores to do some shopping for myself. I love all the discounts it offers. The staff is awesome and helpful.
I stop in for a gift card for chirsmas...I don't shop Macy because I can better deals other places and better customer service else where
It's a bit hard to park and the charge for parking! But the Macy's it's self is very nice and employees were nice and helpful.
A really good Macy's store. Very good organized, great service and the prices are ok for Beverly Hills. I can recommend it.
Wanted to try a couple different shoes but there was only one employee and we waited so long that we ended up leaving
Had a great experience here. Friendly customer service. There were computers I used to apply for a job.
This is the best Macys in Los Angeles. This location should be the yard stick for all other Macys.
Very filled with anything u might want for yourself or a friend or relative. Nothing is cheap.
Great Xmas decor on Black Friday. Lots of items on discount and selection is still good.
Astrid in the perfumes department is amazing. She is a very nice sales associated.
If people didn't stare you down the experience would have been better.
Clean store..fairly good selection on casual & dressy pieces
Bought 7 slacks for about $530, not the best deal, but OK.
Meh. There's better places around the corner.
There are too many new things to buy.
