"Simple set up amazing products, this is worth a visit when you are in the area, the ladies behind the counter are kind and attentive"
The loaf of cranberry walnut bread is beyond addictive. A human shouldn't even be allowed to eat a whole loaf in one day, believe me,,, you might carb overdose. Lol. Very good bread room temp or fresh out the oven. I can recommend this Bronx little Italy bakery, bery good. The cannoli I can't suggest, not that great.
I had the Cannoli & Pretzel, which were freshly baked. The Cannoli was the best I have had, filled in front of you and was so smooth, and not ultra sweet unlike some others. Really friendly staff, fun having a laugh and joke with them. The breads, biscotti & biscuits looked so nice, was very tempted.
Stopped in over the weekend on my very first time to Arthur Ave - picked up some bread and cookies. The bread is amazing and made for a great vehicle for the Italian cold cuts I picked up elsewhere. The cookies are not overly sweet and have an incredible balance you don’t find most places.
AMAZING. We got the olive bread, proscuitto bread and cinnamon cranberry bread fresh out of the oven and still warm! Didn’t get to try the cookies but everything looked so good and so fresh! Parking is a challenge as expected. I’ll definitely be back to get more bread.
Simple set up amazing products, this is worth a visit when you are in the area, the ladies behind the counter are kind and attentive. Try to be ready with your order, it's the Starbucks version of bakeries - in and out fast! The olive bread
This place had so many different types of biscottis! I got completely overwhelmed, but the lady behind the counter was really helpful with selecting a nice variety for me. Phew! That really helped. We also got bread (they have large, medium
Amazing, freshly filled cannoli for only $2.00! An unbeatable price and a delectable treat -- the cannoli shell is crispy and hasn't been sitting around all day soaking up moisture from pre-filled cream. Will definitely come back for more.
Only for cash so be prepared. Fresh crispy bread $5 or $6 depending on the size and I grab today garlic knots my daughter love it the plate cost $5! Flavor and price amazing! I love to shop in little Italy always quality stuff there!
Biscotti anyone?? Name it, they have it!!! Decisions, decisions!! They take cash only so keep that in mind because you will want many. A sign of these times is no samples; however, rest assured whatever you buy, you will want more!
Madonia Bakery is reputedly a Bronx institution, having served up delicious Italian bread and pastries for over 100 years. It's located on Arthur Avenue, which is known as the "Real Little Italy" of New York City. More
Amazing bakery with tasty treats, ridiculously low prices ($15.00 per pound for most items), large selection (breads, cookies, biscotti, pastries, cannoli etc, bread crumbs), great staff. Only accepts cash though.
Really good bakery. Everything is always fresh. The chocolate bread is a favorite of mine. Their selection of butter cookies is also fantastic. The chocolate sandwich cookies with raspberry jelly are my favorite.
I already bought a lot of stuffs and can’t carry anymore but I stumbled upon this one and must get something since everything looks so good. Can’t believe how good this cake is. Must come back for more!
Had dinner at Enzos and they served us Olive bread. Liked it so much we asked the waiter if we could buy a loaf. He sent us across the street to Madonia's and we bought more than the bread.
Great place to buy fresh and crunchy bread!!! It takes me a long trip to get there but is worthy! Great service! A lot of people making line and they received only cash $$$$ More
You haven't had cannoli until you've had freshly filled cannoli, and Madonia does it best. They are cash only, so come prepared with a few extra dollars so you can stock up.
First visit. Purchased the raisin, fennel semolina bread with sesame seeds recommended by a friend. BAM!! It didn’t make it home. A mess in the car but worth the cleanup!
The fennel raisin bread was amazing. It was very busy but we didn’t have to wait too long. This was our first visit to the area and this was a highlight. More
Couldn’t be a better place for some fresh bread, pastries, and cookies. Wonderful historic New York Italian delicacies at a reasonable price. Hope this helps!
My favorite of the bakeries on Arthur Ave! The ladies who work there are very helpful. Cannolis are freshly filled and many cookies to choose from at $19/lb.
If you’re Italian or a bread fan …. You need to stop here and get a round loaf slice and don’t forget French bread , some bread sticks. More
Best Cranberry and Walnut bread. In the last 3 times I went, they were freshly baked. The staff is great and you cannot beat the price!
The best bakery for specialty loaves of bread, They have jalapeno/cheddar they have white chocolate and dark chocolate bread....
Bought a sourdough boule for $6. Found it dry and very low on flavor: nothing complex, just a slightly sour, dry white loaf.
Rude staff ignores customers. Cannoli is honestly not even decently good. The shell is not crispy at all and
Always amazing. Personal favorites are the Amoretti Cookies, as well as the Walnut and the Tri-color More
Couldn’t be nicer folks. Fresh filled cannoli, great pepper tarrali and cookies of allll kinds!
Soooo many different types of biscuits!! My favorites were the Rugelach and the Jalepeno bread!
