Worst experience ever. I always used to come to Mak Tax to get my taxes done since the past two years. But this years return has been terrible experience. First they messed up the DTC for wife, as we mentioned to them CLEARLY that we want to use the credit 2019 onwards, yet they only entered for 2022 and then they tell me to wait for the notice of assessment to come in as they cannot do anything now. LATER i get to know that they entered my immigration date of arrival wrong in my tax return which messed up my whole TFSA contribution room, and now it shows I am under penalty. Now i have wrote letter to CRA to get that fixed as well. I recommended many people to them i now i can clearly say not to get your taxes done here. They do not LISTEN to you and just do your taxes quickly and THAT results in such big blunders and we as their CUSTOMERS have to deal with the consequences. Very disappointing

Don’t waste your time and money here. All they care about is money. Charges are on higher side and services are not at all worth it. They will not even tell you the amount which you can get as tax return without taking your money. There are many accounting service providers which provides you this info without charging you a single penny and they can provide better services at 1/3 price i.e. 75 % cheaper. They charged me $ 107 for the service which I was getting at $ 35. Noone is asking you to do anything which is not as per law. It’s about being reasonable about your price and fair in your actions.

All they care about is $ Very rude and unprofessional service. We asked to provide our information he filled out for taxes. He is asking for $40 interact-e-transfer just for providing our information. This is ridiculous. Not filling out our taxes in here anymore. By the way, the accountant also made a mistake in my tax forms, and in the middle of the year I got a letter from CRA asking why there was a discrepancy. When I went to the accountant, he charged me another $80 to fix his own mistake. Ridiculous service and rude customer service. Not coming back for sure.

One star, mabe 2? After being charged $180 for my return to be done, I owed about $160 to revcan. Ok so I paid it. THEN I get a letter from revcan saying I owed about $570 payable by the deadline, less any amount Ive already paid. I made a lot of money that 2022 year and thought I should go to mak because their supposed to be "professional" preparers. $180 for NOTHING. I usually get it done for about $40 and they never make a mistake. Or they havent in like the last 5 yrs. So there you go.

DON’T GO HERE!! They messed my tax return. I called them 3-4 times to help me fix my taxes to get my Disability tax credit. The accountant, Mohan told me that he will call back but he never gave a call back. It was very upsetting to see how their quality of work went down. Once you pay, they don’t care about you. Just go somewhere else who will actually care about your issues. Thanks Mak Tax for not calling back!! You are loosing all my family members as your clients from now!!

Mr Mohan disappeared when I asked for help with the CRA ! Initially he told me to call them ! Do to my lack of accounting I asked for help from MAKTAX ! Nada ! He agreed and promised prompter service ! It is now 3 weeks since I requested a consent form to sign so that they could represent my concerns with the CRA ! Still waiting ! Otherwise the work is good and service is upon their discretion and if they are interested !

Getting my taxes done is that point in the year where I'm honestly a little bit lost, but Mak Tax made sure to make it a smooth and stress free experience. Their customer service is top notch and the team is incredibly polite and welcoming. I am definitely going to keep doing my taxes with them and would recommend Mak Tax to anyone looking for quick and seamless tax and accounting services!

Awful services, put in wrong information for my T1 and now being audited by CRA. Went back for assistance for the audit as he filed the taxes and he is now saying I gave him wrong information, when this did not occur. Receptionist even apologized on Mohan’s behalf for his error. Please stay away, very disappointed and will be escalating this to the relevant regulatory bodies.

AJ and the Mak Tax team are incredibly knowledgeable and super easy to work with! They helped our family with our annual personal taxes and was pleasantly surprised on how quickly they prepared our filing and was able to identify more credits for a higher return! Amazing service - I had filed my taxes back in March for the first time with Mak Tax and it was the most efficient process I have ever had with my taxes. This is the WORST, unprofessional , unqualified place. Advertised as $40 for filling tax. Charged $80. Did my tax in April. Called CRA in July and was told tax was never filed. I called to ask for the reason. No one had answer. Save ur money and go to a certified Accountant. These ppl r crooks.
