I have a Hyundai i30 regularly serviced at a dealership but over the last few services have felt a bit ripped off. At the last service I was told I needed a new clutch and that would cost me around $2,700 and when I booked the car in I would need to pay $700 up front for them to order parts. My response was "I think I might get some quotes". Since this would be a day without my car I decided to google automotive services near my workplace and came across Malvern Automotive Repairs who had very good reviews. On my way home I stopped in to see them and met Graham. I explained my situation and Graham was most helpful in his advice and quote for the job to be done. Needless to say it was a more competitive quote and I proceeded to book my car in for the clutch replacement. These guys are amazing and kept me up to date. I did wonder if i would get a call with an unexpected find and extra cost but they were true to their word. I saved myself just over $1K. Definitely do yourself a favour, these guys are great and definitely worth looking after your car servicing. Needless to say they have won a new customer.

Two words for this workshop “Honest Professional “ I have been a customer for 6 yrs now with three cars. BMW 3-Series, BMW545 and current AMG-A45. I have a few story’s of how awesome they are and here is one. I bought a BMW 545 from Auction, I brought it to the workshop unsure if l had bought a dud and I wanted it serviced ASAP 2hrs after drop off, I had a call to come pick up the car. I was thinking the worse, on arrival at the workshop I was told no need for a service as a major service had already been done very recent and they listed all the new parts. It would have taken some time to check over the vehicle and I was charged zero dollars which left me amazed. Malvern Automotive Repairs has gone above and beyond multiple times over the years, saving me heaps of cash and gaining my loyalty. I have never left the shop feeling duped, I cannot recommend them enough. I owe them as a customer a great review. Adam W

My Holden Calais was lacking power on acceleration/overtaking and misfiring. Holden had 3-4 attempts at diagnosing the issue with no success. I was then told about Malvern Automotive and especially Dave and how he can diagnose the most difficult of issues. Well, I was not disappointed. Dave had one drive and knew exactly what the issue was. I cannot recommend Dave and his entire team more. Herman and Graham are by far the best mechanics I've ever been to. They are honest, soooooo thorough, reliable and friendly. They are great with communication to keep you updated on what's wrong and things which need to be fixed now, and which things aren't urgent. They're not pushy to make you spend more money. They've been in business for many many years. It's family owned and run, and it shows. They're amazing and they care. We will never go anywhere else.

I was driving down the freeway on my way to Phillip Island when I had a message pop onto my dash concerning the coolant system. Fortunately I managed to get in touch with the team at Malvern Automotive Repairs who managed to look at the car for me and confirm its roadworthiness for the rest of the journey. They did this even though they were at lunch with their food getting colder by the minute and totally saved the day...Thanks again guys!

Graham, David and the team run a very friendly, honest business. Been taking my BMW X5 here for a few years and they have been brilliant with it, explaining the issues (if any pop up) and recommending what needs to be done/ compared with what does not (yet)! Compared to others out there which have tried to make me do everything at once. It’s tough to find a good mechanic and I’m glad that I have with Malvern Auto.

Best mechanic service, I rocked up the other day expecting my car to be in there for at least 2-3 because I hadn't booked in, but I had an exhaust leak on my Subaru Forester, and I was in and out of there in an hour! Great service, friendly staff. Although they have so many customers, they still manage to look after everyone! Will definitely be going back here!

My car was making a squeaky sound so I took it in to have it checked. The team at Malvern Auto inspected everything thoroughly and oiled up the suspension and charged me nothing for it. They also checked my tyres, liquids and oils for free. Very happy customer and will be returning to get all my services and repairs done in the future. Thanks again MAR!

They provided excellent service fitting new front struts. The initial test drive was done to confirm the issue and the required components to fix. The work was quoted then the repairs done quickly when car was delivered to them. The final cost was very reasonable and I would highly recommend them.

I went for a very simple fix after Bridgestone Select Glen Waverley was ripping me off and quoting me for 4 hour labour. The people here were professional, honest and truthful. They resolved the seat mechanism issue within 5 minutes. I will certainly be a return customer.

These guys are super friendly and helpful. Did a RWC on the same day for a late minute cancellation they had. They left the car in immaculate condition and even used plastic wrap over the seat and steering wheel for cleanliness / safety. Would recommend for your RWC.

On my first visit I found the team very knowledgeable regarding the problem with my cruise control not working, and they gave me confidence that when the car is returned to them, they will return my control to good working order.

My Holden commodore overheated at some kilda Road. I had to organise tow truck from Racv roadside assistance. The boys did put new thermostat radiator and hoses. It costed me $1200 which is reasonable Thanks for helping me out

I had my car serviced here and they did a great job, it was almost half the price as the Jeep dealership and they used genuine parts for the 1 repair I needed. Will use them as my mechanic from now on , highly recommended
