"First time here so we got a slew of dishes to try"
Have had Mama Lu's multiple times for family events and I'm always satisfied. I think my favorite thing on the menu by far is the lumpia. The price is fair and the size of them are good. Not really a place to sit and eat even though I have, but a place to grab a quick bite of some good homey food.
This is a must for lumpia fans. The wait can be a little long if you order at the window. We put in a large order and waited 20 minutes which wasnt too bad considering how busy they were. I would recommend calling it in and picking up. The pancit was full of flavor and great. More
Presently only offering take-out, my American - Filipino family is crazy in love with real native Philippines food right here in Jax. So far, we’ve been pleased with the variation of weekly selections and we’ll be back!!! And believe me, it’s worth the 1/2 hour wait! More
The customer service was very good. I tried the veggie pancit and veggie eggroll they were both good but my only suggestion would be a little more seasoning to it but I enjoy the freshness of my meal I would probably give them another try and I would recommend. More
First time here so we got a slew of dishes to try. Our favorites were definitely the pancit ($9 for a family size portion), the adobo chicken and pork, and the steak with onions. Really all the dishes were really flavorful and nice. This is
I have never had any Phillipine food...ever. But if this is what it tastes like it's amazing. Delicious flavor , awesome portions.. phenomenal. I wish I could tell you whether it was good compared to other Phillipine food but I can't...but
This is my first time visiting this place and for sure will not be the last time! So far this is the best halo halo I have ever tasted in Jacksonville:-) Worth driving from the Westside. Marami pong salamat at mabuhay po kayo Mama Lu!!!!
Local Philippines restaurant. One woman operation. I have been trying to get lumpia here for over 2 months. She was always out. Finally got some yesterday. It was pretty good. She uses sweet and sour sauce. The pancit wasn't very good.
Mama Lu's is located on the other side of St. John's Bluff Road passed Atlantic Blvd. from The Town Center. It's a little Mom and Pop shop that serve delicious Filipino food. We just discovered this place a couple of months ago, but we
Reasonable price and portion size, I ordered a bunch of random stuff, and i dont remember what everything was pictured. Honestly, you can't go wrong with lumpia, some things i liked more than others. If you want to be adventurous, try
My favorite place to get Filipino chicken adobo. The lumpia and pancit are delicious as well. Call ahead and order for pick up. You can also select from the already prepared dishes and create a combo plate with two entrees and a side.
I cannot give a good rating to a take out restaurant where I cannot see the prep space and cooking area. This place does not adhere to local restaurant laws and guidelines, it does not even give you prices. Some dingy place with dark
We ordered from Mama Lu's Filipino restaurant to get a different experience. The wait was thirty minutes but we knew the food was going to be hot & fresh. We ordered the chicken fried rice and also the shrimp/chicken noodles. More
I came here since was wanting some pancit and lumpia. Walk up to order food. No dine in,they do have a picnic table out front. The service was good, plenty of food. I just didn't find it very flavorful. Hence the low score. More
For a little restaurant that you would probably not see if you went by too fast, the food is really good. The food is good (you must try the lumpia) and the price is low. This restaurant is worth the trip. I do recommend it.
The food was fresh and the aroma was mouth watering. She was very patient with us because it was our 1st time there. I ordered chicken wings, pancit, and lumpia. The food was worth the wait. I will definitely return. More
Filipino home cooking at it's best. Please call your order in ahead of time. They have a very small parking lot and only do take out, no dining in at all. But still this is worth eating in your car if you have to.
I tried a couple of of other Filipino food places locally. This is by far is the best ever! Best Lumpia I have ever had! Love the Bihon Pancit too. Prices are good too. I will be trying other dishes now too!
Delicious pancit!! I haven't had anything other than what I ordered today, but so far I love it!! Will def be going back and sampling more of their somewhat extensive menu. Soon. Very soon.
We were passing through town & my wife was craving for Filipino dishes. Mama Lu’s cooking were authentic Pinoy & tasted quite delicious. We satisfied our pallets, thanks Mama Lu.
Had an order created by my aunt and pick up time was set. Came to pick up and the order was not ready, waited 1 hr 18 mins. Yes one hour and eighteen mins past the pick up time.
Do not recommend this place. The food does not taste fresh at all, very oily and salty. Only for take out, no pricing given. Save your time, go elsewhere. More
I just want everyone to know this place is absolutely the best Filipino restaurant in jax. Hands down. The pancit, lumpia, adobo all of it. It's so good.
Food was sooo good. Personally my favorite out of the Filipino spots I've tried. I tried the menudo and the chicken adobo with rice both were delicious.
My husband and I can't believe we only discovered Mama Lu's early this year! We were truly missing out! Once we tried their food, oh man we are hooked!
Closest lumpia I've had to my mom's. Bourbon chicken was delicious. Pancit bihon was ok. This is a take out place. No place to stay and sit. More
Everything is delicious! We like the BBQ pork on a stick, longanisa, house fried rice to name just a few items. Highly recommend them!! More
Take out only but the wait is brief. Best Halo Halo in the area with lots of toppings. Diniguan was very well seasoned too
Amazing food! Highly recommend! Delicious Pancit and lumpia
